Doug Welling: I contacted Nick McLay for a quote to sandblast my 1942 Ford Sedan Delivery truck that I am restoring, it consisted of a body off the frame, four fenders, hood and doors. He said he had just finished one just like it in Ohio, body only for $800 so mine would be that and another $200 for the extra parts. We agreed and he sent me a contract for $800 and would add the parts at time of blasting! I live in an addition and he said it would make a mess, so I contacted a friend to do it at his farm about a ten mile drive, I was responsible to have the body and parts delivered there the next Saturday morning. Saturday morning I get there and he informs me that the media he ordered had not arrived and only had enough to do the body! He could have called and told me and I wouldn’t have had to transport all the extra parts and told him that! He said he would make it up to me by picking up the parts and taking them to a remote location where he does work like that and blasting them with other jobs, then return them back and give me a smoking deal (his words) well that never happened and he said it would be like him paying me and backed out and left me hanging with a job half finished!!Nick is a BS merchant and not to be trusted!I believe Mrs. Casey in the second review !!Buyer beware!

Nick even arranged with his partners over at PMT Fabrication to have a few spots welded before applying a beautiful new coat of Forest Green Powdercoat to seal the metal. He kept trying to talk my husband out of the whole job we had asked for, not wanting t remove the plaster, even though they did in places. Then he decided that they couldn't do the job that they had quoted in writing, leaving us with a partially-blasted, unusable empty pool.
