Some days they would work, some days they wouldn’t. Same with timing. Sometimes they were early sometimes they were later. Being a home owner with dogs and kids, it’s hard to plan around that.2) when needing to come back to fix some things after the install, the day they were suppose to come they never showed up.

What I don't understand is not communicating with your customers. I've gotten pushed off for the last five weeks Ashley telling me "next week". I have tenants who work nights that were displaced the last two weeks because their untimeliness and lack of communication. The owner called me and said he would go out tomorrow to see the job through, and offered me $300 off... On a $20k job. Absolutely would not recommend.

Very meticulous, detail oriented, no shortcuts, cared for our property and completed the difficult project in a very timely fashion. In fact, we added to the original project by having Mullin and Son put in roof vents and leaned on their expertise in the industry to recommend a vendor we were extremely pleased with in installing a new garage door, Dekalb County Door and owner Bryan Laverne.From start to finish, a very good experience. Ariana Turner: Platinum Remodeling has not only provided me with the highest quality product in my new roof, but they have also been my advocate in the struggle to get my insurance company to provide that quality product. My insurance company agreed to pay for a roof replacement after hail and wind damage, but their estimate was terribly low and did not include the necessary costs to bring the roof up to current construction code.I chose Platinum Remodeling after doing a lot of homework; I asked 7 contractors for estimates, and I did my research on things like shingle warranties and venting techniques. Of the 7, Platinum was the only company that not only accommodated my concerns and questions, but they did it happily. Some companies tried to hurry me into a decision, calling often and asking me when I would sign; Platinum never rushed me. Where other contractors wouldn't remove my old turtle vents and fill in the holes, Platinum actually recommended it so that I wouldn't have the old open holes in my new roof and they recommended continuous ridge vents, which are far more effective.Matt came to my home on several occasions and was professional and timely in person and with email. He answered everything I asked and he was forthright and honest. He explained the process to me, and did so patiently. Platinum also has a customer program to offset the out of pocket costs, which is a creative and very easy way to reduce your financial burden.On the day that I received my new roof, the crew was here on time. They did am amazing job of keeping the grounds tidy; their clean up service was impressive. At the end of the day, they spent a lot of time meticulously going over every inch of my roof's perimeter. I never did find any nails or shingles or messes that my dogs or children could get in to later.I know that I received the best service and the best roofing partner with Platinum. Despite my recommendation, my neighbors chose a different contractor who convinced the families that they would file their insurance claim for them. Even with the little I know from my own research, I can tell that they did not get what I did: there is no ridge vent at all on one of the roofs and on the other, the company didn't replace the old turtle vents and pipes, etc. Even as I write this two months later, Matt at Platinum and his crew are still advocating for me the RIGHT way with my insurance company for additional coverage of gutters and gutter guards. Gammacad: Platinum Remodeling replaced my roof last month and they did a fantastic job! I interviewed 5 different companies and Platinum was clearly the best choice. One company said I would need at least 28 sheets of plywood and Matt from Platinum said I would need 1 or 2 at most (Matt was right). When the job was finished, Platinum came back twice to finish some clean up and straighten a few gutters and I didn't get a bill for the balance until the work was completely finished to my satisfaction. They were here finishing up when I moved in and everything looked fantastic. 3 days later as luck would have it a storm rolled thru, damaging a gutter they just completely fixed ( a tree fell on it). I called them and they came back out and fixed it at a reasonable price. They also finished up a skylight project at that time (that was also contracted out from the previous owners). They had to wait on the skylight ( this was during the COVID-19 transportation issues where no contractors could get parts). Unfortunately as fate would have it as they were repairing the skylight it broke and fell on our brand new pool cover ( inside pool). Btw I was never mad about that. I understand life, sometimes...no matter how hard you try, no matter what precautions you take, stuff will happen. But as soon as it did, the owner, who was here on the job, said well don’t pay us for the gutter repair until you figure out what the pool cover repair will cost. So a month later ( again we were having trouble getting contractors here mid- pandemic) we got ahold of our pool cover guy who explained we needed it replaced cuz of the holes in it the glass caused. I let Bigs know this, and within a couple weeks they cut us a check for the cost of it. I was stressed at first, cuz I know how much it would suck to accept a job, then lose money on it, and a lot of places would probably have made us argue to get our money, but Bigs didn’t. That just goes to show you what type of people they are. Granted I’m sure that skylight job goes smoothly 99 out of 100 times, but they definitely made it right. Not to mention our roof, gutters, and everything they fixed looks amazing. Thanks Bigs. Being a new home owner in Huntington it’s nice to know I have a roof guy. Edward: DON'T BUY THE WARRANTY!These guys installed a roof, facia and gutters on my home, on one facia they did not tuck the facia under the roof edge, which allows water to run into the eave. After multiple phone calls to get them out the first time, they finally install a facia of proper width to tuck under the roof edge. Of course, that fell off.
