Alissa Reining: Came in to find a very specific shoe for my daughter. As we walked in I noticed the manager using a stack of shoes to hold his head up so I asked him my question. My question being “I need a pair of all black converse that I know you don’t sell in store, however you do online. I just need to know what size so we can get it ordered. Can you help me with that and get it ordered here?” His reply “ladies converse are in row 4A” and then he walked away. I was quite confused as I stood there with my 10 year old child not quite understanding why he sent me to the ladies department. We walked around for a little bit and then left, I was hoping to buy her shoes and myself a pair or two. Instead we left and went to the busy mall where we found much better service and were able to walk away with the shoes we needed. Thank you Journey’s for being the shoe store that Shoe Carnival could never be.

B. Preston: I came in on a Wednesday to get some shoes for work. Made it to the checkout line and my order wasn't what I thought it was going to be. Told the cashier that the shoes had sale tags on them and he says that doesn't start until Friday.. Not sure why they had sale tags on them for Wednesday then If the sale doesn't start until Friday. So I said no thank you and left the store. My mother who is in line behind me overhears him being disrespectful towards me regarding false advertising and has to tell him " that was my daughter!" And goes on to explain that it's not right to hang sale tags if the item isn't on sale. Pay attention shopping here people.

Carolyn Swanson: Nice store with a wide variety and brands of shoes. My husband found a pair he liked and that is never an easy task. The guy at check out was very personable. I added a photo of the shoes but they have been worn before posting this.

But when I went to get my money back they told me I had to have it on my card which is a debit card. I've never in all my years of shopping heard that. With a credit card yes but debit is same as cash. So I called the Jefferson store to which they said it was at manager discretion which they were rude the whole time so of course they weren't going to. It's just another thing that annoyed me about this visit

Michele: Worst customer service ever. We counted 6 employees, none of whom offered assistance to my husband and me. We looked at and tried on 6 different styles of sandal which were in stacks 10 high. Somehow we got the boxes we needed without toppling the stacks. We walked up and down almost every aisle, never asked if we could be helped. When we checked out the girl said what it total was, that was all. She didn't greet us, ask if we found what we were looking for not thank us at the end of the transaction. If you go I'd suggest you bring a tall, industrious friend to help you.So I decided to go back because it is the closest shoe store to my house. When I walked in there were 3 employees in the immediate area. Not one said a word to me. I looked at the sandals up front but was really looking for some dress shoes. I wondered the ladies section finding mostly sandals, crocs and athletic shoes. I saw 2 more employees while walking around. As I walked to the door 1 of the 3 employees said "Have a nice day." That was the only thing said to me for the 15 minutes I was in the store. I am now going to DSW.

Jean Lesperance: we recently purchased three pair of shoes. My wife loves the Propet athletic shoe. We are still evaluating the Danskins.
Jewels M: I would give him a zero if I could. He is pushy and rude. You can tell him you don't like something and he will still push you to try it on. Avoid this store like the plague!Also if you find something you like (which is hard to do because he doesn't have much) check the website. Guarantee it will be significantly cheaper. Also he doesn't allow returns for a refund. You can get a store credit but that doesn't help much because like I said his selection is horrible. Do yourself a favor and check out a couple other shoe stores in Ft Wayne. You will find a better price without the pushy rude behavior.

Steven Firtko: I purchased 2 pair of shoes from this store to help with my disability regarding my feet. I expressed issues and reservations in the store about the fit of the shoes, but against my better judgement, I purchased them because the salesman promised me that these would not be an issue. On the 2nd business day after my purchase, I returned to the store saying these shoes don't work for me, and asking to return and refund. The salesman and owner refused saying "all sales final." The salesman later admitted to me that he sold me USED Shoes that were on his sales floor for quite some time, and tried on many other feet. I told him they felt used and loose on my foot. I believe this salesman committed FRAUD by selling me a USED pair of shoes, and representing them as NEW. I then brought the shoes to another professional shop down the street, and they informed me the shoes are DEFECTIVE and poorly made. The lining is coming loose in the shoe (which is suppose to be new), and the workmanship is poor. Again, I want a REFUND. As I looked at Google and YELP, MANY other customers were also taken advantage of and very unhappy with this business. WHEN will something be done to correct this?

Rex Mercer: I went in thinking I may be out of luck but found out this is one of the few places left that carry great quality shoes. The service is impeccable as well, you tend to forget what it's like having someone with knowledge finding you a good fit.
Pat Bultemeier: DO NOT SHOP HERE! This retailer doubles the price of the shoes. He does not give refunds (and doesn't bother to tell you) He is pushy. He kept bringing and bringing and bringing out shoes that I had no desire in. I am all for shopping local small businesses, but this retailer gives them a BAD reputation. He is not a member for the BBB or the Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce and there is a reason for that.

Amanda Otis: My girls and I visited the Glenbrook store to look for formal dresses. We were able to find a small selection of dresses in a few different colors. The store was clean and organized. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. We did not find what we came for but did end up making a purchase anyway. I would visit this JC Penneys location again.
