Leona Burns: We have had install since May, guess what, can't get the meter changed out. Have never been able to use our solar. Our electric company has been here with meetings scheduled to change out meter and NO PINK ENERGY to help get this system up. No rebate check and paying 2 electric bills a month over 800.00. FIND ANOTHER COMPANY. we have a 80,000. Lawn ornament and we are on a retirement budget. TYSM Pink Energy

Kyle Blevins: Ex worker so take this how u want but with the time of me working there I found out alot like the sales team lieing and that Mr. Waller him self taught the sale team everything they know they say that generac is the problem but yet they knew of the problem for years and didn't nothing to fix it make the workers work 12 to 18 hr days and most time had to work threw our lunches just to be able to get enough done to get weekends off but still make us work weekend I was personally told to keep my mouth shut around Customers about the truths of the company making drivers drive over weight trucks that are unsafe to drive I have heard there higher ups make fun of ppl and bully ppl I had a manager scream in my face when I refused to drive said unsafe truck then started to throw the equipment off the truck across the shop they don't care about anyone or anything except money

This has been the absolute worst company to work with, i would suggest NOT going with this particular company. Other reviews can also confirm how much of a nightmare this becomes.
Becky Herrington: BUYER BEWAREThis has been a nightmare of lies! The salesman lied on almost every aspect of the system. Our contract says we are to have a 95% offset on our electric bill and we have never had that. The solar panels are broke down more than they work. 50k for a roof ornament! Customer service is non existent. When you call for service repairs you sit on hold for 2+ hours just to be disconnected. When you do finally get through you just get bounced around and in the end nothing is fixed. HORRIBLE PREDATORY COMPANY!

They never call when they say and you as a home owner after spending 60k+ are left to jump through the hoops and do all the leg work to get power company to approve install after 4 months of no communication

Brad Redman: The initial sales guy was great, and leading up to the install everything seemed smooth. Then once they install everything they don’t care about customer service. I had everything installed and months later still waiting on things that were promised. Have called and texted them many times and still have not received the things promised. 100% don’t recommend this company.

Coorrie Neal: This has been a very disappointing experience. We had our install scheduled for one day. The workers were at our house from around 9 AM til around 8 PM. They didn’t take breaks and told us they still had a three hour drive to get back. We felt so bad for them. The work was not able to be completed in one day. They had to come back the next day. Again they were at my house all day without breaks and still unable to complete the job. We were then scheduled for a different team to come out a week or so later. They were not able to complete the job either although they marked the job complete. I then started Recieving calls to get inspection done and when I asked about the job getting completed no one could answer my questions. I had to contact several different people to finally get them to send someone else out. They said they would put in a critical ticket for us to get it completed ASAP. Well the soonest they could get us in was 3 weeks later. So now I am paying for solar panels that are not even working yet. I am completely disappointed in this company and they process.

James Hinson: Jamie Dawes traveled from Fort Wayne to look over our solar area and our house to make sure everything was set for construction. He was awesome! Thank you Sun Warrior Solar! - This was my original post earlier. More than a month after this. They haven't finished the install. I have to reach out for them to talk to me. Otherwise, they don't...we are paying off the loan now, 2 payments in and still no solar.Still waiting on hearing back from Josh at Sun Warrior Solar since changing my review. I wouldn't recommend this company at all. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. They don't communicate with you and they have awful customer service. I wish I wasn't stuck with this awful company. They scheduled my power to be shut off without calling me....I had to call them when NIPSCO came to shut my power off. If I could give negative stars I would.

Sure communicate well with you when interested in purchasing then blames it on nipsco. 10 min call myself got meter change scheduled by myself. $70000 and I have to do stuff they should be doing. I would recommend going to someone you can actually communicate with. I’m sure I’ll get some bs reply on here about sorry your experience didn’t go well. Care when your a prospective buyer after they could care less. I’d give a negative number if I could.

April Torbeson: Do not buy from this company. Zero communication. Took months to get our panels up and running. Granted they did rectify that situation and refund us, but now I have been trying to reach them for months with no return calls. All I want is a report of our consumption & usage & they refuse to call me back. Very frustrating.

Mark Royal: We signed up to get installed in Sep 2021 and we’re told we should be installed by year’s end. We had to call numerous times to check on what was happening with the install. We finally got installed in March 2022. And we had to call again numerous times before we were told to contact our electric company to get it approved to turn it on. Now we need a bill from them for tax purposes and nobody returns calls or emails. Service sucks.
L. J. Boniface: My experience with Modern Mill at the outset of our installation was pretty good. Installation technicians appear to have done a good job. BUT, a year later my system's energy production is down by 50% and I cannot get any response to the company as to why. No returned calls, no explanation. Still on the hook for the payments for a system not producing energy as promised.

Ryan P: Josue at Modern Mill did a fantastic job servicing my solar install (also from Modern Mill). Josue was able to quickly locate the changes required and took care of it. It is great to see Modern Mill stand by their work, even years after the install is complete.Josue, in particular, was great to work with. Despite doing the job by himself, he didn't make you feel like a chore. The job took over 1 day. To finish the job the next day, he even stayed at a local hotel.It took two calls to the office to get my appointment scheduled. They won't leave you hanging; they do quality work, but quality takes time. Be patient with Modern Mill.It isn't often you see companies go the extra mile with their service and support, but Modern Mill and Josue did.
J P: Our system was installed in 2019 and their service was severely lacking in the office area, until recently. We had an issue this summer and I could not reach their local office, I had to call Illinois. Then I remembered that I had Tyler's number in my phone and reached out to him. This is the best customer service that we have had, ever. He communicates timely and is knowledgeable about the system. It was he who got our system up and running and letting me know about what was going on. We are very confident that any issues will be taken care of with his help. Thank you Tyler! (We have never had an issue with any of the installers from the initial installation to a couple visits over the years. They were all friendly and knowledgably as well.) The 5-star rating is based on the recent interaction with Tyler.
Tim Frey: I had 24 panels installed in December of 2018 in West Michigan. It is a ground mount that was supposed to gain 100% sunlight in my large back yard to provide us an estimated $0 net utility bill with our utility company. $38,000 financed for this, and we have yet to go into a winter with ANY built up credit to sustain us. Now, for 2/3 of the year we are paying $200/month on the system while STILL paying the utility company $100-$150/month.I contacted Modern Mill early this summer and found out they installed the entire system in the wrong spot so now it only gets 90% sunlight and is considered to be under performing. They sent me a satellite photo of my property with tons of trees highlighted that I could have cut down to maximize production. They are fully mature trees that were clearly there in 2018 and would cost me around $10,000 to have removed.Now no one will contact me about fixing this by either adding panels or moving the entire system for me since it was THEIR screw up!If they do come through and make things right, I will update this review to reflect better on them, but as of now, they have completely failed me and I'm stuck!
John Stephens: READ FULL REVIEW BEFORE YOU MAKE ANY DECISIONS HEREA fantastic experience with Solar Mill started with my consultant, Donnie, who did a top notch job explaining every aspect of the process.Then it continued with my install team. Cameron, Joseph, and Tyler. The group that Modern Mill sent out was professional in every aspect of the install, friendly, and amazing to work with. There were some issues with a piece of wire, but Tyler, Sebastian, and Louis handled it quickly and efficiently with a follow up visit. Just a great experience all around!ADDENDUM - MARCH 2022:My solar install was now completed MORE than a year ago. The company had given me two separate install dates for my Tesla Power Wall, which cost $16,500. They did not meet EITHER install date, and I have requested a refund. In response to my refund request they gave me a THIRD install date, and have ignored my request for refund.Buyer beware on ANYTHING they don't have IN-HAND and READY TO INSTALL. I'll be opening a case with the BBB today after giving them ample time to get back in touch with me.ADDENDUM - MAY 2022:Modern Mill continues to offer half measures or no measures and after filing complaints with both the Better Business Bureau and the Indiana Consumer Protection Division I'm now being forced to move forward with a lawsuit to recover my losses.If you too are unable to get responses from Modern Mill, email me and I'll share attorney contact information. We might all have an easier time of it if we just use the same attorneys.BUYER BEWARE - AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Ally Smith: They won't give you a ballpark price with out coming out to your property. Even if you know what size array you want (10kw) . Witch is understandable ever system will be unique. What the main problem is they wount come to your property unless you and your spouse are there. My spouse is night shift. She does not need to be there for the sales picth when all I want is a quote. On the size I already know I want.
Kem Zolman: Bernie Glavin was our initial contact, salesman. Bernie was very knowledgeable, helpful, truthful and honest with us. Everything Bernie told us has happened including a rebate check from Modern Mill for three months until our system was up and running at full potential. Being in sales myself the customer relations was excellent and Bernie answered the phone each time through the process and made sure things were getting done. Modern Mill's instillation crew worked nonstop in horrible weather conditions until finished. After our first full month of full operation our electric Bill from AEP was the service fee only just like we were told.
Gregg Latter: Trust me do not hire this company. They will tell you lies and not get back to for months. My friend signed a contract with them in September and they won’t even contact him back. If you look at the bbb complaints you will see that they have done this to many other folks.
Janet Fedor: Extremely slow at answering questions. You have to keep at them to get anything done. They have not answered us since the 7th of March- ("I'm working on it and will call you back to answer your questions"). That's the last we heard from them. Keep leaving messages and sending e-mails. They still need to repair a wall (from Dec. 21) that was damaged hooking up the electric. As far as the panels go they work fine- especially good when the sun is out. Not so much when covered with snow or frost. No easy way to clear the snow off either. Disappointed in their customer service!!!

Bob Bieber: This company is pure trash. Solar has been installed last October and we have a $70,000 loan payment with no working solar. They refuse to call us back. They have the same app to watch the system and they know it's not working. Almost 5 months and nothing works. We had to get a lawyer to throw them under the bus and have this junk removed.. Save yourself an expensive mistake, never let these guys on your property. Look at the second image, that's a serious error and they don't care...
Precision Roofing Services: Do not do business with this company. We did roofing projects for this company two years ago and we're still trying to collect payment! As a fellow business we strive for satisfaction, not only to our customers, but to our fellow contractors and vendors. We are very disappointed that another company would take advantage of a small business. Two years, multiple phone calls, emails, letters, and still silence on their end.
Benjamin Smith: I would not do business with these folks. I called the local number on their website for the Fort Wayne location. They transferred me to what sounded like a national call-center. They put me on hold again and all I wanted was to ask some questions to a Sales Rep. I called once and never got a call back. I called back a month later and each time I was told that I "had to act fast because the deal would expire by week's end". That can't be true because I'm told that each time I call. It's nothing more than a scummy sales technique to pressure you to buy something. At the end of the latest call, the representative refused to schedule the appointment unless my spouse would be present. She's very busy managing two very young children. The rep spoke to a supervisor and still refused to send out a sales rep unless my wife would also be present for whatever sales pitch we would have to hear. I've never had so much trouble trying to spend $75,000. Do yourself a favor - call anyone else.

She was able to convey instructions with clarity as well as patience. Work was done well and on schedule, communication was excellent. The array has outperformed the expected output in the first year. Highly recommended without reservation.
