Nathan Miller: Nice basketball courts and some renovations in 2021-2022 but it still feels a bit worn out and disjointed. They’re also expensive to rent a court from compared to newer local options.

Jerry Coleman: I used to go here as a kid and play AAU Basketball all the time. I loved the spiece facility. I’ve been recently here within the last few months to catch a few pick up games and I notice the courts are often times slippery. Even to the point where I’ve fallen down, and the amount of slipping made it undesirable to even play for me. Also, I wasn’t the only one complaining about sliding out.So Is there a way to e-Mail the owner or any one in charge about my frustrations and complaints so that we can possibly make suggestions to have a much safer and enjoyable playing experience for the kids who do events there as well as us adults who like to go up there and play some pick up ball to get some exercise in and just be able to play the game that so many of us love to play while being able to fully enjoy it?

Thomas Mattson: Been going here off and on for about 8 years. Spiece has a mix of average joes, and hidden elite athletes and gym goers. As far as demographics goes; if Spiece was a marketplace, its members would best relate to those you’ll come across at a Costco —relaxed, easy going people.The equipment is mixed with both much needed and appreciated new additions and many aged functional ones still working just fine.placement of equipment could be better, especially the squat racks on the wood floors. The racks should have unobstructed priority position in front of the mirrors to allow users to maintain proper form and avoid injuries.The racks should also be perfectly parallel with the mirrors, they are slightly angled and throw off your form when using the mirror to guide you.The equipment could use a deep clean/Refresh particularly the rubber coated plates.The free weight area could use 1-2 newer adjustable portable benches.A speaker system in the workout areas, bathrooms/lounge is badly needed. It makes things less awkward and creates a more relaxed atmosphere. Just make a playlist and have it on shuffle.With that said, I cannot comment on the group fitness classes, but I hear great things about them and a lot of work has been put into the new studio that reflects much though and care.Spiece is a place with much to offer. Though I only partake in weightlifting, others may find this place full of great opportunities.A special thanks to all the staff for their contributions, and the girls at the front desks that put up with me and my nonsense. You’re all appreciated.

Randy Dominique: Took my daughter to Speice for a 1 hour lesson today with Coach Beasley. We were very impressed with not only the facilities but more importantly how Mr. Beasley worked with my daughter to teach her and also push her past her comfort level in various drills. He gave her tools to take how with her to continue to work on her game. We weren't sure what to expect as this was a last minute plan but we were extremely impressed and will definitely be back! Thanks Coach and the staff at Spiece!

Sebastian A. Stancu: Nice place. Wish I lived around here to be able to join this gym. It has a huge space with tons of equipment for strenght training, HIIT and even basketball courts and an indoor track. Love that it has a sauna and even massage chairs. For an athletic person who loves to train there isn't anything this place is missing.

Shenice Robinson: Not a welcoming environment at all! The members and the staff are rude. I mainly frequent the Jorgensen location which has one of the best cultures and environments. This location is TERRIBLE! I took a Sunday Yoga class here and a member let the door go right in my face, the staff at the front desk were unpleasant and when I walked into the class the instructor didn’t speak at all! She spoke to other members walking in though. I have taken cycling with Aleasa and she is the BEST, but that’s early morning on Saturdays! If I’m not going to her class I won’t be using this facility, and sadly I feel like this is exactly how they want it at this location. They make sure you feel like you don’t belong.

Josh Crews: Great facility. Has everything you’d need in a gym, and there is enough equipment for everyone. Maybe a little busy around 4-6ish but it’s definitely not too crowded.

Coni Thompson: Best ymca facility I've been to in 3 states! Always clean and in good repair. Never was too crowded. They do have lots of children's activities so there are certain times to avoid if you dont like the bustle of many children. Jacuzzi best around. Various adult activities to enjoy.

Tiffany Harris: We had a terrible experience with our kids. Went to go swimming and teenage boys kept throwing balls at us and jumping on us. The lifeguards did nothing…. Then a family came whose kids were so rude and unpleasant. My kids wouldn’t get back in the water Bc of them. And again…. The lifeguards don’t do anything about it. We’ve been to the Jackson Y and the lifeguards there do such a great job and it’s always enjoyable. A family who saw how my kids were being treated so it’s always that way at this Y. So sad… truly not worth it, especially for the money you have to pay for a membership.

Rindy Schlatter: I go to this Y for the pool and can always find the space I need to do water exercises - just stick to the schedule. The water is a bit warmer than others (exception is the heated pool on St Joe). Unfortunately, the hot tub is almost always full. The staff are always friendly and ready to help.

Nelson Ross-Miller: Mainly go to this Y due to their Hotub.I have seen several times on their ceilings water spots which can turn into mold and are a fire code violation. I recently told a staff member that their was a needle just laying out on the counter in the men’s room. He rudely told me to go get a shirt on and tell the front desk. There lifeguards also don’t check the steam room or sauna that i ever seen.

kyle weese: Very high quality gym. The machines are in great shape and so is the sauna and steam room. Best in FW I reckon. Plus the employees greet with a smile and some have come to know me by name. Great place highly recommend.The only imperfect parts of this gym imo are the hours and the rock wall seems to almost always be closed.
