Chance Bar: what do users think?
Ashley Hudson: Corey does it again at Chance Bar!! We dined recently for Easter Brunch, and it was amazing! I had the ricotta dumplings with a duck sausage gravy....a dish I hope he keeps on his menu 🤞🏼🤞🏼Go check out Chance Bar, you won't be disappointed!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jared Kent: This place is a hidden gem! Atmosphere is great. The service is very easy going and friendly. But the real treat is the food! The paring of different sweets and salts and spices and herbs is truly on a level you will rarely find. One of the best plates of food I've enjoyed in my life!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Joshua Raber: (02/26/2022) Update:I've now been to chance bar a total of 4 times in the last 6 months. Every time is just as delicious as the last. The food is always on point. The service is excellent. The environment is both elagent and in inviting. The passion that Chef Corey has for his restaurant can be tasted on each and every plate that he sends out of the kitchen. The oysters tonight were very fresh and exciting on the palate. The caesar salad was HUGE and the dressing was delightful. I loved the thinly sliced little potato chips that were used as a substitute for traditional bread croutons! The duck curry was very tender and cooked to perfection. It's broth had an incredible depth of oomami that made each bite as exciting as the last. The burger and onion rings never disappoint. They're as consistent as the first time I fell in love with them. If you still haven't tried out this amazing restaurant, I strongly encourage you to give them a CHANCE!Chance Bar was an awesome experience. I would say this restaurant best described as a diamond in the rough. Although it's location is not directly downtown, it's good and service rivals that of any restaurant located in the heart of the city. The beer bread appetizer with whipped honey butter got better with every bite. The soft pillowy center combined with the crunchy crust made for a fabulous starter. The entrés were HUGE! The double bacon cheeseburger featured as the chefs special came highly recommended by our waitress. I will say it was arguably one of the best burgers I've had in Fort Wayne. The quality and freshness of the Wood Farms ground beef made for a juicy and delicious burger. The entourage of sweet pickles, burger sauce, red onion, shredded lettuce, bacon, and cheese was a winning combination that made for an amazing bite. The korean bbq fried chicken sandwich can't be outdone. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy. The korean bbq was bursting with bold flavors and was accompanied by a fresh slaw. The onion rings were light and airy, super crispy, and not too greasy. The fried potatoes were cooked well and had just the right amount of seasoning. They both were complimented by a housemate garlic aioli. Our portions were so large we could barely finish our plates. I look forward to revisiting Chance to try their Sunday brunch as well as some of their dessert options. Thanks to the Chance Bar staff for an amazing dining experience.

Todd Bonecutter: Stopped in the other night without a reservation but was seated without any issue. We had heard a lot about this place and wanted to see what all the hype was about. We ordered the breaded mushrooms and the deviled eggs small plates to share with the table. Both items were delicious. At the table we ordered the salmon, the pork loin, the double smash burger special and the pasta. All were amazing. From the plate presentation to the taste buds….. delicious! Unfortunately nobody had room for dessert. The chef should be commended for his menu and talent. Thanks Chance Bar for a wonderful meal. Definitely worth the “Chance” if you get the opportunity!
Mandy Paden: Chance Bar is truly a one of a kind place. Not only is the food phenomenal, the atmosphere is unmatched. The staff always makes us feel like we’re eating dinner in the comfort of our own home, all while having an incredible meal. The chef Corey always comes out and personally talks to his guests about the food he’s prepared, which is always a nice touch to the meal. The food he creates there is gourmet, authentic, and unique. We have never had anything bad, and we enjoy trying all of the specials throughout the year. If you haven’t made your way to Chance Bar, do yourself a favor and go! You won’t be disappointed.

Kenan Alibegovic: I was pleasantly surprised with my first experience here. Overall, small restaurant, maybe 20-30 seats total (not counting a small bar area). Server was a delight and came to check on us often. We tried the rib tips (heavenly, with the cartilage attached) as an appie, and then each had the Gnocchi dish and mussels dish. I got a large amount of mussels for $28 served with a tasty red sauce and my sig other reported the Gnocchi sauce was a little on the spicier side. We got their bread pudding for dessert which was the only okay-ish item (it was sea salt and caramel, and tasted more bitter). Overall 9/10, highly recommend visiting at least once!Parking: Small lot for the restaurant, otherwise you'll have to look for street parking.
Jeff Starkey: We dined twice at Chance bar. Staff is friendly but food takes for ever to get. First experience waited about a hour after order entree and was told kitchen was backed up. Second visit, after an hour the Chef/owner came and told us that they were out of the hamburger specials we ordered and can we order something else, Thirty minutes later all entrees arrived.Food is ok but the ricotta gnocchi was very spicy, almost to much and the duck was way over cooked and was tough. After two separate times of waiting for so long probably won’t return. I am sure some do not mind the wait and you should try for yourself. Just not for us.

Dace Kime: My wife and I have been to chance several times. It is small but it adds to the personal, intimate experience. The staff is friendly and Corey the owner and head chef always stops out to check on us and how our experience is. The food is absolutely amazing! There isn’t one thing I wouldn’t recommend to someone.Recommended dishes Flourless Chocolate Cake, Meatballs, Fried Mushrooms, Ricotta Gnocchi, Cheese Ball, Grilled Sweet Potatoes, Beets, Caesar Salad, Rib Tips …More
