Once we found out the cost of the hem would be more then the dress itself we said we would just come and pick it up. She said she was going to charge us $5 for her time and because she put marks on the dress already. cartier beats: This place has the worst customer service I’ve ever experience, first she couldn’t speak English so it was hard to understand what she was saying, and even harder to get her to understand stand what I needed. So I wen in to get a pair of pants shortened, she said that would take two weeks I said okay. 4 weeks later my pants still are not finished, and all I wanted is them shortened 1 inch. So by now I asked for the pants back so I can go somewhere else, now she can’t find my jeans. 😾 those pants 👖 were very expensive for my kid’s! She offered me $30 the pants were $130 so I’m going to take this business to small claims court! SMH 🤦♂️ what a waste of time.Service:Alterations

LaChana H: Horrible experience with two pairs of jeans that I wanted taken in at the waist. The jeans that I purchased were over $75 each and I was charged $25 for each pair of jeans to be serviced. (a reasonable price in my opinion)I was told that after the pants were complete, it would be hard to detect that the pants were altered. When I came in to try on/pick up my pants, I noticed that the pants were bunched in the back and that it was clear that she struggled with alerting the jeans. Roza explained to me that the pants material were, “So thick that it broke her machine and that she had to call someone in to get the machine repaired.” Also, that she wishes that she would have just told me that she wouldn’t be able to alter them, and now , if someone else with a curvy shape like me, comes in, she will just tell them them that she is unable to alter their pants.I explained to her that this was not what I asked for, however she still expected the entire payment for “fixing the waist of my pants”A little less than a week after my appointment she put out a sign saying that she “alters everything.”Needless to say that I won’t be a returning customer.Service:Alterations

John B.: My expectation for good service in Fort Wayne waned in recent years. Say what you will about "Hoosier Hospitality," but it doesn't apply to a majority of service oriented businesses anymore. Cold food. Rude servers. Managers/owners that just want your money and you gone, but sometimes you will find a gem in Fort Wayne.Kyrou Tailoring is one of those gems.Over the last two weeks Mr. Kyrou has taken in a jacket and put stripes on my uniform. After asking how long it would take, he explained that 1 week was "guaranteed," but in both cases it took less than three days. Cost was what you expect to pay for tailoring, or maybe even a little less, but the service is priceless.One reviewer on Yelp said he was rude. Don't believe it. He is very nice and polite. He is an older gentleman who appears to have a decent amount of business (and repeat customers). He guarantees work completion in a certain time frame, and time is money.That being said, on my return visit we talked about members of my company who frequented his shop and even joked around a bit. He's a very nice guy and a darn good tailor (pun intended).Be respectful, pay in cash, and enjoy a small shop quality product.Bottom line: Kyrou Tailoring is a privately owned gem of a business that gets my full recommendation.

The other dress I had purchased needed taken in down the inside seams. This dress had a crochet looking outer shell so I was nervous to do the alterations myself.I found this place via Google search and looked through the reviews. Asu had great reviews so I felt confident and comfortable taking my dresses to her to be altered.I was so impressed with this shop when I went in for my fitting! Its like a cute and cozy little wedding boutique! There is a large, mirrored seating area around the alteration pedestal for guests. The dressing rooms are a great size with seating and hooks for your clothes and things. This shop also carries veils, hair accessories and wedding jewelry as well.The two dresses took less than 6 wks for Asu to alter. I picked them up steamed, bagged, and ready to wear.I was also able to purchase a custom wedding veil here with alterations to that as well.Wonderful service and communication! Juanita Oberley: I was about 7 months pregnant and a bridesmaid in a wedding. The dress came and was HUGE. I had no idea how or if it was even possible to make it look presentable. I came to RIte Alterations (she had done my wedding dress several years ago) to have the owner look at it. The top of the dress needed rebuilt, the hem needed over 6 inches off, straps redone, etc. With all that said... I picked up the dress and it was magic! It fit beautifully and looked like a completely new dress. So amazing and so thankful! The owner is super friendly and knows what she is doing.

Karen: I've been going here for years and would never go anywhere else. The owner is such a nice person and we always chat and pick up right where we left off. The prices are very reasonable and the alterations are always top notch!

Jacob Jones: Paid to have 5 shirts tailored just to have them 3/4ths of the way finished. They unpinned my sleeves and didn’t adjust the length. I made the mistake of trusting the place and had my wife pick up the clothing. Once we realized the job wasn’t finished, it was too late. We had already paid, and they wanted another $75 to finish the work.Lesson 1, always pick up your own tailoring and try it on before paying. Lesson 2, make sure they write specifically what they are doing on the receipt. My receipt just said “sleeves” and he claimed that didn’t include length adjustment. Nonsense. Lesson 3, get your tailoring done somewhere else. At $40-$50 per shirt, their prices aren’t competitive with other higher quality tailors.Service:Alterations
