I was having issues with my account and she went out of her way to help me. She worked with me on getting me exactly what I wanted for a good deal. Normally when I come here I feel slightly swindled and there is normally zero effort in helping me find the right package for me. Hope they keep her around!

Rachele Linker: I visited Sun Tan City, Illinois Road on 10/7 at 3:40 p.m. I was the only customer in sight. The nice lady at the counter took the time to sell me $12 of extra product to make my spray tan "stick" and to "prolong" my tan. I've never had a spray tan, so I thought I should buy this. I was told to go to room 12. I was not shown how to use the equipment nor how to prep for the tanning process. I read and watched the instructions before entering the booth. I was confused about the foot placement and how to pose while being sprayed, so I wasn't sprayed evenly. Today, the palms of my hands look like leather. Not an attractive result. My daughter asked if I used the "Barrier cream" for my hands and feet? I guess had I been shown any of these things, my results and experience might have been satisfactory.Service:Spray tanning
Alyssa J: Highly dissatisfied!! Yesterday, my mother mentioned she wanted to get a spray tan and I (now regretfully) recommended Sun Tan City. The website shows that your FIRST spray tan is always free Wednesday- Sunday. She decided not to wait until next week, so she drove to this location yesterday and was told a higher price for the spray tan of choice (online quoted a different amount) and was told that her first spray tan would not be free if she did wait until next week (online states this promotion very clearly). She also mentioned that the staff was not helpful at all with any information about the about the promotions. They seemed uneducated about the services and pricing of the services that the "salon" offers. She left and came back today, after I booked the appointment online so I was sure that the price would remain what was shown. She checked in and was told the room number. The staff did not ask if she needed help, they did not ask if she's ever received a spray tan before, they did not ask if she knew how to use their machine, they did not ask anything - Simply told her her room number. This resulted in obvious confusion and NOT a great experience, at all. My mother also is recovering from major surgery and is, very obviously, considered handicapped. I am extremely upset that she had such a terrible experience. All guests should be treated with professionalism and respect, in any customer service job. Will definitely not recommend you to anybody else.

I don't believe that I was told that this promotion expires because otherwise I would have made sure to use all 3 before the time expired. So today, I had to pay for my third tan that was supposed to be free.

Callison Transportation Inc.: Always clean, staff is always friendly and accommodating. They take care of their equipment and pricing is acceptable. They did change their hours of operation to close a couple hours earlier, weekends they close very early. Best tanning place in town.
Lyndsey Williams: Went in to use a “special” and was told I couldn’t use it because it wasn’t the weekend, and I knew that I could because it was a “weekend pricing special” that could be used today, Friday. I asked if she Izzy, the employee had someone she could ask for clarification and she said no. I’d have to call customer service. So I paid full price and chatted with customer service while I tanned. Customer service informed that I was correct and that Izzy had charged me double, when I was done I tried to inform Izzy that I was overcharged she told me to leave her store because they were closing in two minutes. Izzy was clearly wrong and also delivered horrible customer service. Terrible, terrible customer service.
Susie Hout: I used this place for tanning for my wedding, that was fine. I froze my account and i guess it had been almost 2 years so i had $105 in frozen credits to use. So i unfroze my account, went in to speak with the manager to verify that my monthly payment would be taken out of my frozen dollars for may and June. I ended up using some dollars for lotion. So the gal told me may would be covered (which it was) but that June would be a partcial payment. She told me she would call customer service to make sure may was taken care of and that June would be partial, because they were having computer issues. Well June 1st came and i got charged full price ! I immediately went on my account and canceled (which i thought it was!) called corporate to get my money back and they absolutely refused! They decided giving me a gift card to this place was the best they could do. I don’t want the stupid gift card because this place will take your money and give poor customer service ! Please take your money and go somewhere else !Service:Tanning

Jess Meyers: I hardly ever go to this location and I was reminded why very quickly I went to double dip like I usually do and it was obvious that there was a new employee behind the counter who was just not honestly with it she brought up my wrong account not once but twice then I had to wait for the tan which was fine because I understand people are busy and beds needed to be clean so I waited 15 minutes for a bed to be cleaned to go to my double dip to get sprayed and was sprayed under the wrong account in which someone else who doesn't spray with the same color I spray with I literally was mortified I went and brought it to their attention and the only response I got was oh I see why not I'm sorry not I apologize not anything like that the lady said well I can give you a free tan but you already have an all-inclusive membership with us so what does that do for me exactly can I get an apology can I get a this will never happen again because had I have had an important event to go to and had I not been able to attend that event because the wrong spray was sprayed upon me I would be going a lot more harder for Sun tan City than just this little review I highly recommend a longer training time with your employees and a little bit more better customer service when it comes to their own mistakes I have been tanning with Sun tan City now going on 3 years and I have never been treated so poorly in my life

Kristen Ware: It was my first spray tan experience ever.* Eyewear requirement/nose plugs- you need to supply these if they are recommended by the FDA they should be provided. If you can supply a towel, hair cap and cream, you can do that as well* Price for the cleansing mitt was hard to look up for one of the girls at the desk (we had to wait for the other girl to help her out), but other than that I had a great experience. Danielle Doster: Sun tan city bought out my tanning salon so I thought I would give them a try. When I signed up I told the employee I only wanted one month, she told me that was fine. Once I was all signed up she told me I could only cancel after the first auto draft, which means I had to pay for two months. I clarified that with the employee and she said "yes, you have to do two months." I Since I was already done with the sign up and already paid I just thought fine I'll do two months. They also told me I had to wait 24 hours to tan which is normal for tanning salons so that was no problem but today I had to wait 6 mins for my 24 hours to be up. I go after work and it's never exactly 24 hours, I understand waiting an hour or more but really 6 mins? It takes me that long to get ready! I called customer service, because honestly after working all day I don't want to wait around to tan at exactly 24 hours, and they told me either I could cancel today and not get any of my 45 dollars back or I would have to just cancel after 2 months. I have only tanned 4 times and they wouldn't even give me a dime back. I personally think that is terrible customer service but I guess you get what you sign up for at places like this. I'll never again tan at sun tan city.

Irish Bears: I'm wondering why Sun Tan thinks it's appropriate for their vans to be parked in the front row parking spots at the Stelhorn location. There are other businesses in the shopping center.

Mr. Moreno: This is a nice place only reason I only gave it three stars is because the parking is horrible location terrible past it four times before I could actually get in there and then with power steering being an issue in my car it took me another 20 minutes to park and I won't even talk about how long to get out so if you have a small car and a good eye perfect place to go.
B. Preston: Pretty disappointing. The front desk staff was friendly and tried to help me get a package that was right for me. There are fees after fees for joining if you get a membership and I'm just not a fan of that kind of thing. There's a $10 to join fee and a $20 a year membership fee. I'm not going to pay to give somebody my business. If you support that kind of thing it's up to you but there are other places you can go that don't have membership fees.

Ashley Davidson: I generally have good experiences with the staff here. However today was an annoying and unprofessional experience. I rushed to tan after work and got there 8 minutes before close. There was another customer walking in behind me. We were shooed out by an annoyed employee that was obviously more interested in getting her Saturday night started early instead of taking care of the customers coming in. Not sure what closing procedures entail for this business but maybe schedule your staff 30 minutes later than closing time so your working customers can be taken care of too. Or just close your doors at tge actually posted closing time...and not early.

My daughter felt uneasy. This is why we never went back. I went here and had my eyelashes done recently and it was the WORST experience. Carpenter: Pros: The people were great.Cons: Tan was applied unevenly, one arm noticeably darker than the other...After washing off the bronzer, I still had tan coming off and staining my clothes for 3 or 4 days afterward, ruining 2 white tops... like they were white shirts turning tan after walking around for a day... keep in mind, this was after I'd washed off the bronzer, and after taking a regular shower.In addition, maybe this is just my skin, but I followed the rules and showered and shaved the day before my appointment... but still got really dark tan in all my pores... I looked speckled.And last, also maybe just my skin, but when I put sunscreen on (and I did research to find one that didn't have ingredients that mess up spray tans), the top layer of my skin literally came off in clumps as I put on the sunscreen lotion. This has never happened before and has never happened since.I will NEVER go back here. Between an uneven application and whatever subpar tanning solution they use, it was a massive waste of time and money... not to mention the shirts that got stained.Service:Tanning

Stacie Little: My husband and I have tanned at Maysville for 6 years. We each bought a week package. They were for different beds. The employee told us that if I didn't use my bed that day because it was too busy, etc. that my husband could use it when he came in. Unfortunately she didn't know the policies and that was not true. When my husband went in the manager (aka the owner's daughter ) would not allow him to use my bed...even though I had not used it that day. So they were paid for that more expensive bed but refused to allow us to use it as their employee assured us we could. The manager was rude and would not stop talking over my husband. I called to confirm what their employee had told us and she again talked nonstop. She then accused me of taking advantage of her new employee by manufacturing my plan! Uh...your employee is the one who came up with the swap plan! Then she kept reminding me that we have tanned there many times before so we should know the policies. Her own employees don't know the policies...how would I? I asked for a call back from the owner (her mother) and instead I got a call from another manager. She was very nice but at the end of the day Solar Tan would not honor their employee's commitment. So we will finish our 4 days and find another company to do business with. There is so much competition in Fort Wayne. It's nice to support "local" but not when a "local" business treats a regular customer like a national big box store.Service:Tanning

Carol Mills: Go anywhere but here, they are dishonest! They lied to me about what kind of beds they had and than told me they were refunding my money and than never did, so I called and was told that they do not do refunds and that is fine if you are giving people what you sold them but that was not the case. I am reporting them to the BBB for selling something they can not provide. Also the stand up still had greasy foot prints in it and an used cup of tanning lotion so there is no way the bed could have been clean so I will also be calling the health department for them failing to comply with state regulations.

They did not seem interested in assisting me whatsoever. Very unprofessional attire being worn as well - overall negative first impression. I left and went down the street to another salon.
