Gayle Fick: This place is amazing. The reupholstering they have done for has been beautiful. They've duplicated my husband's bassoon case covers in leather, recovered the cushions of his 70s ish contemporary LR chair and are now reupholstering the seats of his Danish Modern dining room chairs that we now use as side chairs. We're scheduled for an early August time frame that is a testament to the loyalty of their customers.I must add that in their lower level, they have this amazing workshop with the machines, tools, and work spaces for anyone, hobbyist, crafter, and small-scale producer of products for sale. You can walk to the counter and someone will be happy to give you a tour of the facilities and relatively low fees and classes to use them. Certainly a hidden gem of our community.
Jenn & Tucker Brown: Quality work for a reasonable price! I had a torn boat cushion repaired. Although they ultimately ask that you choose the fabric needed for the repair from their books/samples, they assist and lend their expertise. Nice folks; highly recommend. Will use again if another mishap!

William Schafer: 8 months to reupholster a rocker. First time we picked up, fabric was put on inside out. Took long time and additional cost of new fabric to get the upholstery right. Did not repair springs which was part of our agreement. As a result, rocker looks nice but it's not functional. A frustrating waste of time and money. Many promises made and not kept.
Heather Cearbaugh: Dropped off boat seats in November and still not ready. Called several times keep saying they will have them ready by no later than April15th. It's APRIL 26 & STILL NOT READY!! I'm suggest go somewhere else if you have a deadline.

Instead, they had a loveseat frame and built the loveseat from the ground up. Excellent work. I had 3 pieces recovered and one piece built. I could not be happier and highly recommend. Pick up and delivery crew is very professional.

SIX months ago Sounder’s repaired my ottomans and they STILL ARE SOLID. The owner came to my house himself and is a very nice guy. Great work from a great company!!Update: 1 year later and still solid! Kevin Souder fixed my ottomans and his work lasts! No sagging!!

They rebuilt the underneath part of the chair, now it looks and feels better than new. They Actually had it done in 1 day, and at 1/5 of the cost of buying a new one. Thank you Souders!

Jessica Malloy-Thorpe: Kevin and his team were very responsive and helpful. I emailed a request for an estimate to a table leaf and dining chair, and I included pictures. Kevin got back to me right away with an estimate based on the photos. He asked me to bring the damaged furniture in to his shop, where he was able to better estimate the cost of the repair. They were able to repair both items within just a few days! I dropped them off on Monday morning and picked them up on Wednesday afternoon. Their work was great and their price was reasonable. I would recommend Souders to anyone in the Fort Wayne area who is looking for someone to repair damaged furniture.

Denise Hatfield: Dave has the magic touch. He took a peddle sewing machine purchased in 1912 and made it into a cherry top table and a displayable sewing machine. This was a piece from my great grandmother and was left in a flooded basement. Dave is such an artist. He informed me on every decision. I will use him again and again.

Madonna Ryan: Mr. Terrill just finished a mahogany secretary that had been in my husband's family. It had been used hard and showed it with lots of scratches, dents, tarnished hardware and drawers that didn't glide very well. It is absolutely beautiful now and definitely a show piece in our family room. This was the 5th piece Mr. Terrill has done for us and we will positively use him again.
Nancy Goss: Dave repaired a sofa arm that had totally come loose due to poor construction by the manufacturer. The repair is excellent, was never this strong when it was new. And yet you could never tell it was repaired, fabric restored to original position. I enjoyed listening to him share his love of antiques and furniture. I very highly recommend Dave Terrill.

This is not a carpenter, he is an old world craftsman and puts his heart into every job big and small. I can't possibly get across in words the experience of working with a craftsman of Dave's caliber, he is that good. I'd trust him with century old antiques to new projects/pieces every single time. Theres nobody in town who can match his courtesy, knowledge, and professionalism, he may be one of the best carpenters in Indiana, possibly the midwest!
