Best Wellness Hotel Fort Wayne Near Me

Ronald Beougher: The signage could never not be seen from the street. The parking was in back, entrance in front. The landscaping was weedy. We never saw a caretaker or manager. The water closet was in a separate room from the wash basin. The tub walls were too high to step over. The wash basin had no counter space. The water never got hot, so the shower was cold. Breakfast was a few prepackaged rolls and biscuits and water or coffee to drink. Nothing more hot or cold. We bought breakfast after we left. The furnishings, except for the closet under construction, were Interesting and attractive. I couldn't recommend it if it were free.

The hotel staff was kind and polite but I wouldn’t go as far as saying they were friendly. The breakfast was good. They did allow late check out which was greatly appreciated. It wasn’t that it was bad by any means I guess I just expected a little more from the Hyatt name. I will recommend in the future if someone is looking for a basic hotel.

Karla Stewart: The bed was really comfortable and the highlight of my stay. The heating unit never worked. Reported it many times, they said they "worked on it" just to come back to my room at night and find it not working again. The TV also stopped turning on. Cleaning service was never provided during my 4 night stay. They told me the last day I had to have it requested and that it needed to be scheduled before a certain time. This was never mentioned to me during check-in.

I went out for something at 2 A.M. to find a bunch of little, little kids playing a game of hide and seek..When trying to tell the front desk staff, I was called a Karen and they said what do you expect us to do about it, to stop being a Karen..All the staff was beyond rude!! From check-in to check out, we were treated and talked to rudely..We have had issues with the staff here in the past, but after this stay, we will not return

Miccah Baker: I would absolutely NOT spend your money here! I paid $200 for a king suite, there was food and hair on the sheets in the room, the pool is absolutely disgusting there was leaves in the pool, the pool is so tiny you can't swim when there is 10 kids in the pool, kids were loud all night throwing ice at our door, the breakfast is GROSS so plain and not much to choose from, we are going across the street to IHOP for breakfast and that's sad! Very disappointed I paid so much for my husband and I just to get a night away the motel 8 would have been way better than this place.

Linsey: Stayed here for 4 days and at first it seemed really nice place to stay but as the days went by things started showing up, like the shower curtain super loose which allowed water to leave the shower/tub made A very wet floor, then the toilet paper holder broke 5 times to we’re I had to fix it and to toilet paper kept falling off onto the floor lol 😝 then the next pain in the butt was turning the bathroom light on it was a button on the mirror far away from the door, not a good location at all. In the bedroom area itself the light fixture next to the bed was kinda falling down. I can say the bed was super cozy and the pillows were nice to sleep 😴 on as well. The room had a nice size refrigerator, and a microwave that didn’t burn your food. The hotel offers lots of amenities in regards to breakfast daily bar/restaurant in the evening and snacks and drinks and amenities in regards to bathroom needs for purchase. They do have a pool, but it was closed. All in all this place is decent for the value. I would stay again just hope they can get the few things fixed in the meantime.

Blake Swiatkowski: Stayed here for one night. Room and fitness center felt very clean. While I didn't have time for the pool, it also looked very well taken care of and clean as I walked by. I was hoping the bar would be open, but I didn't ask about it, so I'm not sure how their bar works. And the little outside courthouse area is adorable! Very nice stay!

Scott Glassburn: For the price I don't expect much. However bathroom vent fan was hanging off. There was used dirty paper plates behind the night stand. Something sticky was on the head board. Room all around was in disrepair. I have stayed here before and it wasn't like this. The most disappointing thing was breakfast. I arrived just before it opened and the coffee was cold still in the thermos which means was probably yesterday's coffee. All of the food was some how still cold and tasted that it was made the day before. We ended up just leaving and found breakfast elsewhere. Possible just a bad day but the dirty room was to much. My favorite thing was the note in the room giving you ear plugs because everyone is too loud.

Erin flaningan: Probably won’t stay again, the beginning of our stay was great, we got into to town and went to three hotels but we’re fully booked and found this hotel, the front desk lady was amazing she helped us out so much. The stay wasn’t too bad. I’ve stayed at worse. The water pressure did stop in the middle of my shower and I was left with shampoo drying in my hair cause there was no water to finish my shower… not a huge deal. We left and we’re satisfied until I got the bill for it and I was charged over 100$ more than what the front desk lady told me cause I was charged twice for one night. I called the hotel to try and figure out the deal and the owner Joe, was beyond rude to me. He said since you checked in early I charged you for another night… basically too bad so sad… and hung up on me and they didn’t even tell me they were charging me more. I was told a price the night we checked in. That’s what I signed and agreed to pay. Then they charge me more without telling me!?!? I was told I’d pay 75 for the two night and I look at the receipt that they emailed me and I paid 85 per night for 3 nights plus house cleaning fees (I’m a very clean person keep in mind so I didn’t make a mess). I called the cooperate number and they are on it but it’s not something I should have to deal with… reading other reviews as well, I’m not the only one who’s had an issue with them charging more than what they were told they were going to pay.

Midwest Contracting, LLC: For the most part it’s a nice hotel. Better kept than a lot of others at the same or higher rate. I would maybe hire a new maintenance person since it’s very apparent they do the least amount of work and have no integrity to do nice clean work. Paint spatters on all the doors. A simple cleaner would clean this up. Caulking around the shower was smeared with a finger. Rod holder says leaving the curtain not to stay closed. Mirrors weren’t cleaned and the sink is clogged. Again a little attention would make the room more visually appealing to its customers and that comes down to making sure the maintenance person does their job with some pride. The only REAL complaint is that the bed was incredibly hard. Guest want a good night sleep above everything else. Granted they get a cheap deal on mass purchases but this doesn’t not help the guest, only the owners get away with cheap hard mattresses. Great breakfast! Warm and friendly lobby. Lastly, no smoke detector as shown which violates fire code!

Arthur Cruz: This hotel is in the top 5 of hotels that I have stayed at. It was immaculately clean with very friendly staff.I have had a variety of different meals at their restaurant, across from the main desk, it delivers great food, fast, and at a great price.The heated pool is nice with plenty of towels, and my daughter had a great time swimming. The pool is just the right depth for me, considering that I can not swim. I believe it was around 5 feet deep or so.The room was very nice and clean. I loved the pressure that was coming out of the shower, it was relaxing.The only negative comment I have to say is when the reservation was made the hotel was informed that we would not be checking in until very late which they said would be fine. The hotel staff then directed us to park across the street in their parking garage and enter via their bridge, which connects to their garage when we arrive. After a very long day at work and a very long drive to Fort Waye that evening, when we walked down the bridge the doors were locked. I wish they would have informed us to enter through the street instead of the garage. But with one quick call to the front desk, security was notified and opened up the door within 10 minutes.I like this place and I will be staying there in the future when I return.

John Mutnansky: This hotel is a classic example of how name brand hotels are relying on their names to survive. I booked my room using their 800 number which consisted of a friendly person but could not speak English. My reservation was wrong. Fortunately because I signed up to a rewards member the hotel decided to "help me out" and found a room. The room was not 100% clean...note the muddy foot prints on the bathroom floor, dirty drinking glass on the sink with a paper cover on it like it was clean, and wrinkled sheets. The remote for the t.v was broke. I still had hopes for a decent dinner and a drink in the spacious lobby and bar. Wow....do these guys think highly of their food and drink. Hyatt is just a fancy name for Super 8.

Nick Forte: While I really wanted to love this hotel based on the other reviews, I am not sure how they even stayed at the same hotel. I'll start off by saying, I would love to invite the Hilton Executive Leadership team here to stay in our room, and then hear their feedback following their stay...All I can say is, our room did not live up to the Hilton name, and I will leave feeling disappointed to have stayed at this property... and feeling beyond gross and ready for a shower!While the room was dated and showed signs of high use, that cannot excuse the fact that this room wouldn't pass any standard of cleaning at any property, unless you were staying in a Red Light district. Mold on the shower tiles, curtain, and bathtub. Mildew smell. Hair and crumbs throughout the bathroom, especially in the corners. Old wrappers and crumbs all over the room floor. It was clear, no effort to clean occurred. Mirrors were filthy. The kind of cleaning that you feel like they used the same rag to clean 20 rooms with, and just brushed the hair of the sheets from the last occupants... at least that's what you start thinking when you see this kind of dirty...It was the sort of room that if you touch anything, you feel dirty. You cringe when you shower and accidentally touch the curtain or wall. Feel like you need to wash your feet if you accidentally step on the carpet. The office chair had food matted in it. The sheets barely fit the mattress. Dust all over the surfaces if you moved anything.The staff was nice checking in, although I had to wait a good few minutes before being greeted. As far as I could tell, this property really only had its location going for it as I was at the convention center... but that shouldn't be the only reason to charge Hilton Rates, but not deliver Hilton Standards.If you're reading this Hilton Leadership - come give a stay - I'm curious if this would live up to your expectations. The girls enjoyed the pool (salt water) and it was very warm! The lobby was nice, clean, and a great space to socialize. Yes, there are no closets but there is a place to hang clothing. This is as it is meant to be.....a clean, bright, modern, minimalist/clutter-free space. Thank you, team!

James Moore: Simple, straightforward place to sleep. Standard cheep breakfast options. Location location location.The perfumed lobby did make it hard to breath.

Kyle Vanhorn: Very dirty and unorganized, no coffee from 6pm to 7am no hot water, laundry was being folded on the tables in the pool table area rendering that room useless, no service to purchase items in lobby, the only person on night shift was asleep in the back closet and we had to wake him up for coffee and he said not until breakfast

J M: Called in to cancel a 24 hour notice reservation the day before but not exactly 24 hours before and they still decided best practice is to charge my card for the day.Can’t bend a technicality of a couple of hours for a member that stays with Hilton Hotels 150-200 days a year for business. This would have made no difference on their business but a huge difference in my decisions the next time I’m in the area.Not to mention I explained I was rebooking the nights in a different city at a DoubleTree.Starting to feel individually run branches are more concerned with their GP than what’s right for the company/customer.

Don't fool around with Mother Nature: Hotel is in need of some updating, but overall nice and clean. We had a great time at the bar, wings were excellent. Major complaint is breakfast! We travel for work and stay at a lot of Holiday Inn hotels. This one said they have a full service restaurant so we went for breakfast. They said all they had was a buffet, so we said, and thought, it would be fine. We were charged $25 for 2 and it's the exact same breakfast as every other Holiday Inn has for FREE. Hard biscuits, everything was luke warm. If you can't offer better than what we had today, it should be free. Cut up cantaloupe and blueberries are a decent but cheap fruit offering.

Dan Petrowski: Friendly front desk service, clean rooms, and comfortable beds. We stayed 2 nights during the holidays, and had excellent service from the front desk staff. The buffet style breakfast in the restaurant was good, but waitstaff service was limited at best (we never even received drink service during our entire meal, but other tables did). The room décor is somewhat dated, especially when compared to other Holiday Inns, but everything is in good condition and very clean and comfortable. We didn't use the pool or workout facility during our visit, but it looked nice. The hotel is located directly across the street from the local Arena, and was centrally located for easy access to most of Fort Wayne. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again during future visits.

Natalie Everson: Terrible experience! I left because of the front desk receptionist.My friend had booked 2 rooms. One was on the 6th floor and one was on the 5th floor, but we didn't know the room numbers. There were 7 of us between the 2 rooms. My friend and I were the last to arrive around 11pm. There were 2 front desk receptionists. One was assisting another guest. My friend and I stood in front of the other one. She appeared to be counting her drawer at the end of her shift so we waited. She didn't acknowledge us, or say anything like "I'll be right with you." My friend said the person's name who reserved the room. The receptionist was rude from the moment she opened her mouth. "What?" She replied. I said we were trying to check in and repeated the name of the person who made the reservation. She stated if our name isn't on the reservation it would be a security violation to give us the room number.Now, I understand that they can't just hand out keys to anyone who walks in and asks for one and says someone's name. I get that. But instead of greeting us in a friendly manner or even looking up the reservation to see the details, she just blurted out that it would be a "security violation" to give out any information. From the time we entered until the time I left the facility, I was rudely spoken to by this young girl. Never a smile. Never a friendly greeting. Nothing.At one point she told me to stop yelling (I had not raised my voice at all.)We couldn't communicate with our friend who was already in the room because her cell phone had died.I've worked at top notch hotels. Here's how I would have handled it:If I was counting out my drawer, I would have set it aside and helped the guest or at least acknowledged and would have said, "Welcome to the Holiday Inn! I'll be right with you."How can I help you? You're checking in? What's the name on the reservation.Ok. I see it's under someone else's name, etc. I would have then checked to see if there were any notes (ie: other guest's names, etc) and then asked for an ID.If both rooms were listed under 1 person's name, clearly 1 person can't occupy 2 rooms. (The girl kept saying if we didn't make the reservation she couldn't give us a key. That's ridiculous since I've made plenty of reservations under 1 person's name and there are notes under the reservation with occupant's names or something.)If there were no notes or got to a point AFTER CHECKING THE RESERVATION where I couldn't give out a key, I would have offered to call the room for the guest trying to check in.Instead the girl kept talking over me, interrupting me, accusing me of yelling, etc. I was so flabbergasted at how rude she was treating us, that I said I couldn't stay. I grabbed some of my things to take to the car.A gentleman that works at the hotel (I'm not sure in what capacity) followed me out to my car and asked what happened. He told me they've had complaints about her before. (I was not surprised in the least.) As I explained what happened I started to cry. I was just shocked at how the whole thing escalated so quickly! He mentioned he would let his manager know the next day. We walked back inside so I could get the rest of my things. Our friend who was in the room on the 6th floor had come down to the lobby looking for us. She asked what happened and I was telling her the story. The front desk receptionist kept interrupting me even though I wasn't talking to her, I was talking to my friend.The receptionist was clearly leaving for the night so I waited to leave until she was gone because I didn't want to be in the parking lot with her alone. My friends wanted me to stay, but I was too upset so I ended up driving 3 1/2 hours home at 11:30am (arriving at home at 3:00am) instead of being able to stay with my friends.That receptionist does not belong in customer service!
