Sherry Heller: We recently had Dustin out to install new cameras for our office. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Once he got here, he got busy installing the cameras and was very efficient at doing so. When the cameras were installed, he made sure he spoke with one of our staff members and explained how the NVR and all the camera worked. We were extremely pleased with his service.
helen jackson: I live in a condo community and the HOA hired Indiana Alarm to install Intercoms to 24 of our buildings. I am on the HOA board and the very first interaction was very pleasant. When the secretary answered the phone she was very pleasant on the phone and she stated that someone would call me back sometime after lunch which they did. The price that was given to us was affordable. The company scheduled a date and time to do the work and just as they promised, they were there. I remember the day Indiana Alarm came it was extremely cold and I asked the technician Dustin if he wanted a space heater on, he chuckled slightly and said that's kind of you but no thank you, we are use to the cold. The technician that did our intercoms was very professional and explained what he was going to do and then after he finished he gave me a book and key and stated if I had any questions don't hesitate to call. I could tell he was genuine. A month later I had to program a number in the system and needed help. I called Dustin and he was able to walk me through step by step. I normally don't give feed back but this company is AMAZING!!!
Dan Brassard: I’m satisfied with the service provided by Indiana Alarm. They were able to convert an existing system all at the price that was quoted by Josh and Shalena. Austin performed the installation which required 2 trips. He communicated effectively with both myself and my spouse and when we had questions regarding the service or the app, there were always personnel available to assist us. We’ve now been customers for 4 months and have no complaints whatsoever. We’re happy.My only suggestion: the Indiana Alarm signs are Black/White. I think they could be more visible with other color schemes that would support the purpose of the signage.

They were able to integrate my existing system and even came back to help me with an issue with my lock a week later even though it they didn't install the lock in question. The Alarm.com app gives me all the functionality I need to control everything from my phone and reminds me to set the alarm, close an open garage door or view someone at my front door and speak to them through the camera with speaker. Was also the cheapest quote of the three I received for monitoring service! I now refer my clients to them as well. Highly recommended.
Nadia M: I had an appointment with someone named Josh. He was recommended to me by Indiana Alarm supplier - SES security equipment. I drew 2 hours to this Indiana Alarm office in the traffic, while Josh never showed up. He even did not bother to sent an appointment cancellation to me or respond to my text messages when i arrived for our meeting and he was not there. I called the on the emergency phone number listed at their (Indiana Alarm) website and someone told me that he will look for Josh and call me back. He never did it either. Unreliable and irresponsible people work there.

Tech came out two days before scheduled (after asking of course if it was ok) and worked very hard to make lines look perfect or hidden in an extremely hard to work around ceiling! great job! I had a camera to go down and had to have it replace which already told them the problem they going to charge me for sending someone out to tell me what I told them, plus charge me for another camera on top of that; which I had to wait on numerous of times, because the replacement camera kept blacking out, which I had to continuously call about repairing the camera, no respect for people's time,  it's ridiculous I've never seen such lack of unprofessionalism in my life.  And now all u can get.  I understand your frustration; no I need the problem resolved and fix. I'm sick of calling ya'll about a camera.  Just had to add, on my third camera swap out still can't get it right.  THEN  I had to ask is there going to be a charge, remind you their customer service in the owners give you false information.  You are the ones that keep putting in faulty cameras why would that even be a question to ask. I would not recommend this company to no one. Thank you.....

gary sizemore: indiana alarm charges a large up front fee for the system over $1,000 but reduced monthly fees , which, in a long term commitment seems like a not bad idea. Unfortunately, immediately upon installation of my system problems arose. My outdoor cameras worked intermittently at best. My door sensors all fell off and the motion sensor didn't respond about 50 percent of the time. Though there was supposedly a warranty i was charged for service calls. After complaining to Josh he told me that if I was dissatisfied I could cancel the service forfeit my initial payment of 1,000 and get a new company. Since i had only been with them for a couple months to walk away from $ 1,000 didn't seem in my best interest so I stayed . Within the next months my alarm began going off w/o provocation usually around 3.30 am resulting in alarm fees w the city . The outside camera went totally offline and my main motion sensor became so erratic that i just kept the alarm off most of the time When i called to have someone come out to take a look and complained they canceled my service. Granted, probably the best outcome for me as i am going back to guardian alarm with whom I had a prior commitment of over 12 years..but a bad business practice as i am out a substantial amount of money for a year of constant harassments. I would suggest anyone thinking of dealing with this company read the contract very carefully and know you can be cancelled ,left without an alarm,and your money pocketed.
Tyler Flaningham: Not a good experience overall. I contacted the owner Josh who has always been pleasant. I already have an alarm system, but am looking for a new dealer to monitor my system. On August 9th, he sent Dustin for an initial consultation. I told him I have 15 cameras and am considering adding one more, so he absolutely knew how many cameras we have. He was decent, but succinctly stated that the overall monthly charge would be $28 for video/app monitoring, and $33/month if I wanted fire/police capabilities added. He told my wife and me that while the three of us were standing on the front porch. Dustin said that the owner Josh would contact me early the next week via email to discuss becoming a customer. Well I still hadn't heard anything from anyone at their company today, so I called them. I spoke to Josh who told me verbally (and emailed me as well) that the price would now be $56 due to the amount of cameras that I have. Talk about deceptive practices and leading a customer on. I could have used this gap in time to have gotten other quotes, since I felt like their verbal quote initially was reasonable. Anyway they need to educate their workers so as to not lead on customers. We definitely won't be using this company.

Michael Johnson: I needed a new car audio system installed due to the original factory one causing some annoying/uncomfortable buzzing sound. Audio Electronics is located within 10 minutes of my home, but I mainly considered them due to high online review ratings, and I had a great experience with them about 30 years ago.They were open to negotiate price after I saw online prices of the unit they recommended. They were transparent about how soon they would likely be able to do the work (and the stated date was the day the work began). They called me after work started to ask important questions and alert me to possible additional issues. Once the new radio was installed, one of their employees was working to set up several of the new settings so I wouldn't have to do it. This employee also stayed with me in the car past their normal 6:00 pm closing time to walk through tests/questions I had. There was a part they didn't need to use, so they didn't charge me/took that amount off the final invoice.They guys there discussed their lifetime labor warranty and the parts warranty, and they made sure to let me know to contact them with questions/concerns after I left.They were all very helpful and professional throughout the whole process. I felt really happy! I"m still learning the new radio features. I'd highly recommend them!!
Devon Brown: I took my truck to have radio put in they gave me back my truck. Not operating the same, just lied took $2200 and I have bad service etc. My stop and start worked when I came in now it doesn't. When the tech hooked it all back up he should have told me it didn't work anymore. Seemed also they priced gouge. Ordered a factory shroud for 2 knobs only to order another shroud to put 2 knobs on. This doesn't look like $2200 from a 12.9 inch screen on the right to a 6.9 inch screen and I still didn't achieve what I came in for.. they want to take my truck again for a whole day not offer me a rental car. So I will take the loss and have my truck fixed.. They took out a Tesla style radio.Sadly this was the terrible time with them. Then brought it back for 3 hours only for nothing to be achieved. Know your product being in business for 50 years. I want do business again. You all took $2200 point blank

I was in the market for a new car stereo and was thinking there was a place nearby who has been around for years that specialized in car audio (50 years in 2023!). I called them to talk through some options and their recommendations based on features I was interested in. We had Onguard come and install some security cameras around our home and the entire process from our initial meeting with Kirk and up to the installation day could not have gone any smoother. In our meeting with Kirk, we did a walk around the property. He listened to what we were looking for and wanting to accomplish. he clearly explained what all of our options were and went over the different types of equipment that they offered and what their capabilities were. He took his time and didn't leave until all of my questions had been answered. There were no high pressure sales tactics involved, the system I ended up buying was the perfect fit for my size home and seems to be a very good quality product. They updated our system (it wasn't cheap, but the cost was well within market price) and took over the monitoring. The installer, Dakota, was prompt, polite, and professional. Janice Sizemore: The worst company for security cameras. Never work when they do it's either black and white or grainy. I would like to know how to go about getting my money back all of it. When you call the report a problem you're on hold 20 minutes to 45 minutes. So I figured there must be a lot of problems to be on hold that long. When you're cameras don't work want you to buy other stuff to get them to work. Then theycharge for the call for service for the same problems of the cameras not working. Just please let me know how to get all my money back I'm paying for or a service that I have not received. The service that I did receive and I wouldn't call it a professional service was not worth the money I have paid out.
Treba Jordan: Worst alarm company EVER!!! Products never work, always going offline, and then, yourself, have to try and fix it. If you can't they will for a fee of course. They also lie to get you into contracts. DO NOT TRUST OR BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Cheaper doing it yourself.
mark weibel: If I could choose 0 stars I would. I was a 9+ year customer and it took over a month to get a service person out to my shop. It took several calls to get service cancelled over a 3 day period. I was hung up once and had to call back twice to get service cancelled and still 3 weeks later they charged me for in Jan for another month even though on 12/21 I spoke to billing to cancel. When I spoke to them on 1/4. they basically said my service would be over once they got around to it. What a joke .....Never again!!!!!

Denise Miller: NEVER USE! Run! Do not use this company under any circumstances. They do bad work, don't know what they are doing and are trying to scam you. When they screwed up my installation they told me I had a 90 day money back guarantee - and someone would come out to fix it. But after 23 days and no contact/service I tried to cancel. They were clearly just stalling so that they could tell me the contract indicated I had to cancel in three days. So now they want hundreds of dollars to cancel. I asked the rep to go the recording where they told me I had 90 days - and he refused. and said it didn't matter - they just wanted their money and I was out of luck.

Life Environments: My father in law in Alexandria, Va had an alarm system with a bad fire sensor. We called ADT and they sent this company. ADT said they could monitor using existing equipment. This company showed up and sold him $3,000 of equipment he did not need! This company is predatory in oricing and practices. Look at their Yelp reviews. Look for a company that is ethical and not predatory.
Lori Olson: Chris was kind and knowledgeable. While keeping our needs and requests in mind, he did not push to sell me on things I was not interested in. While he was here for a full 6 hours, he was always very professional.

Rodney Vaughn: It's an office space for a very good security company but there's no reason to visit. ADT bought Defenders 2 years ago. Office closed.
John Thompson: I cannot rate ADT since I have never used their service.I moved to a new house so I was told I canreceive ADT for free and now I receive letters from ADT.I read that the cancellation process is very difficult and I just went through that with another security provider.I have purchased a security system from another company.
Gregory Dunbar: I've had ADT for two years and the video camera is so slow that by the time I get the text from the camera the delivery is dropped off on my porch and the person is already by back in his truck. I called and they said they would send me a new camera, then they didn't and the battery was dead and beeping for two weeks until they sent a replacement. I told customer service about this and they said that they system was still working good enough for you to pay full price. Shanta (customer service) was very rude on the phone. I would not recommend this company. Use comcast instead.

Esteban Flores: I run a business with three locations and have ADT at all three. At first everything seems to be great they are timely with visiting you and PROMISING the best security. Truth is their systems are faulty very often! Then you have to waste time contacting them which all of a sudden is very hard! Then you'll need to request a tech which was always 3+ weeks out! My system that isn't working and is suppose to help protect my business and you're telling me three weeks when you'd come over night to sell me the system.Service is very very bad after they make you sign a contract. If you continue with ADT good luck they don't treat you well.

IRIDICLES ROMINIUS: This company is a total scam. The run under the guise of being ADT. They lure you in with cheap starter packages that don't keep you safe then push to upsell you. They will push thousands of dollars worth if equipment that competitors sell for much cheaper.Alarm technology is so advanced that it is easy to install yourself. Don't fall for their propaganda.
M M: *please read if you're considering ADTI went on ADT's website to request a bid for home security. Defenders was the ADT Premier Authorized Dealer selected to come to our house. Once we received the quote, which was over $4,600 in equipment, I noticed ADT required a 2-year contract. I told the installer no thanks, as we only had a one-year lease on our rental. I was then told that that wouldn't be a problem, because when we move they'd come uninstall and reinstall all equipment in our new home.After calling ADT several times, and being told ADT would not honor any "special deals" being offered by one of their dealers, I emailed the CEO, Jim DeVries. A supervisor on the customer service team responded within 30 minutes saying the exact same thing - ADT will not honor false promises made by by one of their authorized representatives.I then found out ADT acquired Defenders LLC. How does ADT acquire a company and not honor or inherit all guarantees made to previouscustomers? To say this is unethical would be kind. Stay away from ADT and go with another company. They just stole $4,600 and left me with unusable equipment.
Onya Jones: Charged almost $500 fee TWICE in two months! On the phone now with the REAL ADT and they do not see these charges on my account. I'm gettin my money back! #urcancelled #fired
K Campbell: Read the reviews before you consider adt, you will be glad you did. I wish I had. Providing customer service is nonexistent. The majority of the representatives are inexperienced, rude, no product knowledge, and lack empowerment to make a decision. The billing department is equally dysfunctional. The company is all about the bottom line not customer service. This company will eventually realize the importance of customers. Move on to a another provider You’ll be glad you did. Beware!
bruce pringle: I give this company one star only because you can't give it no stars and still post a review!!! Saw a brochure that advertised a price of 27.99 for a 2 year contract with a free security system; installation for $99 plus tax; and a free $100 VISA gift card. I called ADT and explained that I had an old system and wanted to upgrade to a system that would provide me door and window breakage coverage. The representative took my order. The next day, a technician arrived to install the system. He told me that the offer only applied to to a basic system of an alarm box, door alarms, and a few window alarms, and that based on what I wanted, it was going to cost $56 per month. Of course the representative on the telephone never explained this to me, even though I explained exactly what type of system I wanted. After an hour of the technician trying to upsell me and negotiations similar to what you might expect when buying a used care, he finally agreed to $36 per month for the system I wanted. He then proceeded to remove the old alarm box and install the system I had asked for.Within a day or two after the installation, I realized that my telephone land line was not working. I called my telephone provider and they sent a representative. He checked the entire telephone system and told me that there was a short caused by improper removal of the old alarm box and that he could not fix it because the problem was in back of the newly installed box which he could not remove. I then called ADT and explained in detail the problem caused by ADT's removal of the old box and installation of their new one. The representative arranged for a technician to arrive the next day to fix the problem.The next day, the technician arrived and I explained the problem. He said he didn't know anything about phone lines and couldn't fix the problem that ADT had created, despite the fact that the problem had been fully explained on the telephone to ADT the day before. He tried to tell me that the problem was not caused by the alarm installation, despite the fact that no one had touched anything to do with the phone system except the ADT installer and my telephone service provider had specifically traced the problem to the removal of the old box by ADT.I called ADT again and explained what had happened. The representative stated that ADT would find a fix for the problem and notifying me of how they were going to proceed within 24 hours. It's now been over 48 hours and nothing from ADT.About an hour after calling ADT, I received an e-mail with an invoice that indicated I would be charged $25 for the service call. I was never told that there would be a service charge to fix damage caused by ADT's own installation of the new system and, of course, the technician on the service call refused to try and fix the problem which ADT had created. I had to make yet another call to ADT to have the $25 dollar charge removed. Also, the service call technician filled out a work acknowledgement and check the box indicating that I had approved it. I had never approved anything, and never authorized the technician to fill out any acknowledgement on my behalf.By the way, I also never got the email with the coupon for the $100 VISA card that was part of the offer.As of now, I have no telephone service in my house, thanks to ADT, and no word from ADT if or when they might fix the problem created by their own installer.
Kristina Matney: Installed in March 2020.I was told my equipment would move with me. Now I'm being told by ADT that Defender's lied and I have to buy all new equipment for my move.So who's being the deceitful one here?
Atiya Smith: I have to add to this low rating and I wasn't even a customer. My credit report was pulled by this agency without my permission in 2019. I diligently corresponded with the company directly and through the Better Business Bureau to get the erroneous inquiry removed from my report. I received empty promises from their customer loyalty department after 8-10 correspondences via phone, email and the BBB. Till this day in 2021 there is still no resolve to removing the erroneous inquiry. I will always remember this agency not because of a positive experience, but a negative experience I didn't even solicit.
gloria tennant: They could not install the door bell camera. Promised a $100.00 gift card and now they are backing out because I did not spend enough money. $690.00 spent plus $53.00 month. They do not tell the truth. Unhappy with them.
Ramesh Mudi: I recently got ADT security equipment installed by this company. My entire experience of contacting this company as a first time buyer, obtaining a quote on the phone, agreeing to a contract and getting equipment installed have convinced me this is a 'shady' operation. What baffles me is why this company is engaging in questionable business practices when they have everything going in their favor. The name ADT is well known and they are in business for many years. That's how I ended up calling them in the first place for my needs. In fact, the name ADT was so reassuring that I did not even think of doing comparison shopping. With such brand recognition, I wonder why would they even have to resort to dubious business practices.I filled up the quote request form on ADT Security Services website. I had hardly hit 'SEND' button when I received the prompt call back. The guy that answered sounded like a typical snake oil salesman. Even before I started asking questions, he started saying "I qualify for hundreds of dollars in equipment credit" and when I said I want to move forward, he said as per their protocol, he has to have his "Manager" come on the line to discuss the contract further. The "Manager" guy started offering even more "free equipment credit" which simply did not make any sense to me. Not until the technician was at my house to do the install next day. They charged a fee of $107.54 to my credit card which I realize now is a 'sham' fee. They said it is to guarantee the technician come in to my house and explain the terms of the contract, They said this is 'refundable' if I decide after the technician comes in that I do not need the service. They said I qualify for a $100 Visa Gift Card which I now presume is a way for them to refund this 'sham' fee! When the technician who walked into my house and started listing the equipment cost running to an amount in excess of $1500, I was flabbergasted! I asked him what about the credit for the hundreds of dollars the sales guys offered me on the phone call. He blissfully acknowledged he had no knowledge of what credits were agreed upon and that's an issue I needed to sort out with the sales guys! I wanted to thrash it out right on the spot with the sales guys who had signed me up when the technician was sitting in front of me. It is when I couldn't get the same sales people on the phone (who had talked to me just a day earlier that I realized this was a 'shady' company I was dealing with. The salesman had audaciously indicated a 800 number to me which he must have been fully aware can never be used to reach him! Once again, my question is why all these games when they could've been straightforward with all charges and fees and I would have still signed up.All I can say to prospective buyers is "Caveat Emptor"!
Jacob Stouder: Keep getting spam emails about installations and package offers. Not even ADT, but Defenders. Everything from the emails to the website are misleading, and I want nothing to do with them.
Dave Burner: This organization is terrible and impossible to communicate to. They want a hard and fast sell and escape. Our home is large and requires an extensive security system. They would not listen to my description until an agent visited. Then asked for a substantial up front payment ($4,200), spent days attempting an install and finally left with all of the equipment. Payment to be refunded to me immediately. Six weeks later, three lengthy phone calls on hold and promises to "expedite", no return of the money. Today promised to expedite (again) -- ten business days! Everything referred to an unknown "manager". Stay away from this place. It's not the ADT that I knew well years ago.
Peter Malouf: biggest scam ever.Take advantage of college students and pressure them to sign contracts and for thousands of dollars of equipment. This should be deceptive trade practices. Just search ADT defender scam and see the thousands of bbb complaints.
Allison Brown: They will come to your house and waste your time. I called and was quoted one price for a set amount of protection and when they showed up to install it, they wanted 600 dollars more than what customer service stated. The manager (that came on site) laughed in my face even after calling to confirm that the price I was stating was what I was quoted. This was the worst experience I’ve had with a security company. Atleast Xfinity half way knew what they were doing, this company does not.
sarah nikkhah: I talked to Cris Steven today on a phonecall! It was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had on a phone call. I cannot believe I was talking to a manager!!! I had the worst customer service ever!!!! By that I mean ever!!!! When they called me the morning they were nice and polite and clearly said you have to make a totally refundable payment and a technician will come and let you know what are your different options and you can make the decision whether to go with the service or not. When the technician Mike (who was very professional and this review has nothing to do with him) provided information we decided to explore more options before choosing the service and he said we will lose the deal and we said we understand but we don’t want to make the decision now. He provided discounts but considering the options the point was not discounts but was that we did not want to sign a 3 year contract without exploring more options and we did not want to make a decision under pressure. I apologized and told technician that we want to explore options and don’t want to make a decision now even though we may lose the deal. He called Cris his manager and Cris kept on putting us under pressure of ordering the service by asking many questions one after another and he was unfortunately not listening to me that my point was i needed time to make a decision and i needed to explore options before signing a 3 yr contract. Technician was there and could see that I did not say anything wrong i did not increase my voice or speak with a bad tone I just told him that I don’t want to make a decision on buying the service now and that was when he increased his voice, changed his tone and started saying that “I don’t want a customer like you I don’t want a customer who waste my time and my technician time” and he continued his inappropriate speech. I mean I could say yes ask him install all devices and cancel three days after installation and get my money back but I actually didn’t want to waste the technician time and my own time to install the devices and then change my mind. I wanted to make a wise decision even if that meant I lose what they called ‘one day deal’ . But seems like all Cris wanted was me signing a 3yr contract as soon as possible!! If you know you provide the best offer why do you put the customer under pressure they will choose you at the end!!! And as a customer I think I have the right to say No!!! Right?! And I have the right not to provide multiple reasons for not choosing the service!!! Right? He was talking about his time and his technician time as if he is the only one who has time! As if it’s not his job! As if the customer does not have time and as if I did not tell them from start that I don’t want the service and as if I was the one who insisted and kept coming with a new option and asking questions. as if could not put that time on finishing my work and my family could not have quality time watching a good movie instead of waiting for the technician calling him again and again and providing us different options. As if at the time of covid it’s easy to let someone come into our home. I mean the technician was great and he followed all the guidlines and the risk was two ways but we don’t risk our health, time, money and mental well-being to hear I don’t want you as my customer at the end of the day!!!! Maybe Cris had a bad day or whatever but what he did really ruined our day and Im sorry that tehnician had to be part of that and apologize for his supervisors inappropriate behavior!Im glad I can express my concern publicly and show how his behavior hurted me and my family... there are parts of his talk that I could not include here!!!Im just so glad it happened now than later!!!
Tiara Stephens: 1st tech came out took over 8 hours to install, provided me with too much equipment, attempted to cancel, a new tech came. Explained that I indeed was provided toooo much equipment, dialed back my services. Informed me that I would be receiving a refund/credit of $90 this was in July. Now we are in September and see nothing on my account the ADT representative see nothing on her end as well. Then I notice I was billed twice for services. One transaction for my monthly bill and another random transaction for who knows what. I contacted ADT billing and they do not see the random transaction. Informed me that Defenders will need to be contacted for my credit and this random charge. Called Defenders and was routed back to ADT call center. I had problems with them since the day I got them installed.

Guardhouse Security Systems: what do users think?
Courtney F: I can't say enough about this company - they are wonderful. Local team with top notch service and pricing, what more can you ask for?! We've had their service for about 5 years, and any issues that have come up, they have responded immediately. We recently had an issue where an installation in our house affected our alarm system. Jim came out within hours (even though it was after-hours and on his birthday!) and took care of it, no problem. Would highly recommend this company.

Paul Bogdanoff: Guardhouse Security was hired to run data wires, install monitors and security system. The Guardhouse team was knowledgeable, on time, clean and did not interfere with the work day. Furthermore, the fees charged did not exceed the quote.

The professionals at Guardhouse, assessed the system, updated and added sensors, to give us the protection we needed. We were very pleased with their work, with the system, and we love working with a local company. We also appreciate knowing the full cost of our protection. Not in love with the low intro prices some companies charge and then getting hit with huge price increases in the following years. Our price will be stable and well within our budget. Priced some of the big name companies and their monthly charges are much higher. Very happy with Guardhouse Security systems.

Previously I was with a company that had little regard for their reputation or customer satisfaction so changing to Guardhouse was a real pleasure ! I am very pleased to be a client of Guardhouse.
