Shelly Pittman: I had new hardware installed on my Pella exterior doors in late August. One of the door handles is already broken, and Pella is trying to make me pay for someone to come out and fix it. I used Pella because I wanted someone who would stand beside their work. This is clearly not the case. I have been on hold and passed around for over an hour, and still have not resolution. The guy said that the computer could not schedule me, so I need to wait for a call back from scheduling. Could not provide me with a number to call, just told me to wait. I left a message two weeks ago, an never heard back. I am very frustrated!! Very unprofessionalService:General door repair

Michael Maloney: 35 k for one custom Patio door?¿ Definitely felt like the salesman didn't want to come out to my house. He started to try to get out of the appointment since the beginning of our conversation. Sad.
Kyle Witham: I ordered a whole house's worth of replacement windows paying a 50% down payment in November of 2021. My windows were to be installed at the beginning of April 2022. While 6 months seemed like an incredibly long time to wait, I was willing to do so. It is now the end of May 2022 and not only do I not have any of my windows installed, the sales staff at Pella Windows and Doors of Indianapolis has not even been able to provide a plan for how and when the installation will happen despite repeated requests.
robert ray: Getting a Pella sliding glass patio door was very much a disappointment especially for the price I paid 2,728.00,I used McComb Window and Doors, never again would I ever use this Company again!!! The sales person would not even contact me with any arrangements that were delayed by an excuse that was not acceptable I had to call them to see what was going on about any delivery and installation and and still never really communicated with me on any issues until they were ready to come and deliver it, And then hired an outside source for install the only reason the 2 stars are there is because the installation went well Except for my screen door was not delivered the sales person did not order the screen door with the sliding glass door so there was another 3 months delayed Just to get a screen door and they wanted their payment which if I were to pay the remaining amount I probably would not have ever received my sliding glass door screen, I should have used Lowes, the same door cost was 1,100, installation cost was 250.00, After which all the problems with McComb doors, I did research and the same door and screen, I just gave you the cost, What a total rip off of that salesman and McCombs, poor communication with McComb doors and windows take my advice don't use them, If you don't want to use Lowes call Anderson door and windows that's who I should have used and I would not have minded their cost after friends told me of their great experience with them!
mark Im: Had several windows and a patio door installed by this company. The installers and workers are the most RUDE, SURLY people you can imagine. This is very uncomfortable since they are in your home acting this way towards you! I just had 2 of their technicians here to fix a draft on the door. They were acting all rude so I asked if they were upset that we asked them to come out. They said no, they were upset because they were sent out and didnt know what they were doing since it was a new door style and the main office didn't tell them how to fix it! I finally told them to leave and they argued with me when leaving, complete with physical posturing. Also the installers won't even CLEAN the windows after installation! There were sticker marks on some of the windows after installation. We had to call them to ask that they clean those things off. Their PRICES are also quite expensive for the amount of efficiency that you get in them. But their STYLE selection is very good, offering many styles that other places do not. Jeff Bugher: I specified the manufacturer and model of the windows and the sliding glass door. Although not higher end products, Jim Meyer respected my decision and did not attempt to upsell me. He came out to measure, then sent his installer to confirm his measurements. It took several months for the products to arrive due to the pandemic, but we were not in a hurry. They arrived on time, as did the installer and the installation. There was an issue with the sliding door installation due to home settlement over 45 years, but the team was responsive and returned to satisfactorily improve the situation.Services:General door installation,Window installation
Drew Callard: Nothing to say but great things about Blair Window. From start to finish, the Blair team took care of everything all the way through installation process. When taking the old door out, they even adjusted the interior frame to accommodate additional clearance for an entry rug. They caught all the little things from my 30 year old door and fixed it on install. Their crew cleaned up everything and hauled all the old stuff away. Nothing left at my home at all. Restore Valor: I do not normally post reviews but had a unique experience and had to share. Chris came out to our home on 20 minutes notice. He came in, and sat down with us and wanted to make sure he understood exactly what we were looking for when we decided to replace our existing windows. To be honest, we were dreading sitting through another sales pitch and having someone try to pressure us into buying something right then. Then have to deal with them the next day calling me telling me and they had un-used rebates and now the windows were cheaper. But it never happened, we spoke for about 30 minutes and he made sure all of our questions ( even the dumb one that he pointed out ) were answered.We received a design from him 4 days later and couldn't believe that the exact same windows we almost spent $12,000 on with another company could be purchased for $5000 less. They are a smaller company, but Chris is straight forward and made sure we were satisfied with the over all experience with Blair Windows.

Joey Meister: I filled out the online form to get an estimate and then proceeded to receive approximately 20 calls and 4 voicemails in just three days. When I called back to ask that they remove me from their contact list, the sales person still tried to push a sale. This is a terrible business practice that shows they only care about getting a sale and they will annoy/harass you to get you on the phone to push a sale.

stacy stewart: The crew of 6 came and first double checked the window measurements and locations. Once we spoke and had no additional questions, they went straight to work. I was impressed how quick they had the 13 windows (which included two picture size windows) removed and reinstalled in our two story house. They started at 10am and were done by 4:30 including all the clean up! I believe the crew leader did a good job supervising due to the fact that after one of the windows was installed and trim put on, we watched them pull all the trim back off and make some adjustments and then reinstall the trim. Everyone was very professional and courteous during the time they were here. Once complete, they asked if we had any questions and did a walk around with us to make sure everything looked fine. There is a few questions that I had about the front door insulation at the bottom, and there was no trim sent to finish that in the screen on the last one was damaged haven’t heard back from that house so previously and talking to one of the girls about the job, and when it was going to be brought in started, I was trying to explain to her what another lady said to me and she got Kind of rude and her response was we don’t do stuff like that. I wouldn’t tell you that and that’s not something that I thought was appropriate since I am the customer and paid quite a bit of money to have this done. Mary Clouse: Replaced a house full of windows. Quality of the new ones and the installation is impeccable. From the outside, you cannot even tell these are replacements; they look as nice as the originals, not at all cheap. The reason I am not giving 5 stars is I had two concerns...first, I was anticipating half-screens, as described in the brochure. That's not what was installed (full screens) and I asked the installers why. I still haven't received a response. Second issue was I had a dresser damaged when they moved a bed. I can't really complain much there since they moved the furniture as a courtesy to me since I am not able to move a king size bed by myself, but still wasn't thrilled about the damage. Jeff Martin: I have used Mr Window on 3 occasions though over quite a few years span. This last time we had 6 replacement windows installed on our 2nd story. As expected the delivery time for the windows was very long but this was not something Mr Window could control. The installation crew was very polite and communicative. In particular they paid very good attention to the installation details such as assuring a good seal and look where the windows transitioned to the siding. Overall a good experience with both Joe (sales and estimates) and the installation crew.Service:Window installation
Ron Powers: We had 10 windows replaced on the upstairs of our house. These were complete Okna replacements, not inserts. We signed to contract in May 2021 and was told it would be 10-12 weeks. There were delays in the Okna arriving (which isn't any fault of Mr. Window). They were able to get the first four windows installed in late October, but weather prevent any more getting done. Two weeks later, they were able to get four more installed, but high winds prevented installing to two left in the attic. Finally they got the last two windows installed in the attic.The first issue we had was a leak around one window on the East side of the house. When I looked out side the window, I saw that the siding below the window was not seated properly. This allowed rain to be blown under the siding when the wind is out of the East. This leak found its way to the ceiling below the window.The seond issue, we now have water coming in from one of the attic windows. This has also dripped down to the first floor and shorted out a Smoke/Carbon Monoxide detectorRight now I will only rate them as three stars. This may go higher or lower, depending on how soon these leaks are fixed.Update 02/24/2022Mr. Window did someone out to fix the leaks. The installers arrived on the days they were scheduled around 9:30 AM. I thought they would try get an earlier start. But they this done in the two days they promised. They cleaned up the site and only few minor cosmetic issues in the drywall adjacent to the windows. Windows and door are very good quality and appear to performing well, so far. We can feel the difference in the sound transmission from the outside. And we can feel that the heat transmission is lower. RJ Wachs: I got at least 5 quotes for a whole-home replacement of my windows. I'm someone who does a TON of research and I asked lots of questions of everyone.Ultimately, I went with Mr. Window based heavily on the reviews I'd read about the quality of the Okna windows. Well above and beyond big box stores/contractor grade and much more reasonably priced than the ultra high-end names.The crew installed 11 windows in my house in under 5 hours. Left it spotless and we a pleasure to have in the house for the day. Great peace of mind knowing that if there are issues I'll be able to rely on a local company to service them down the line.Service:Window installation
Michelle Finch: We had five windows in our house replaced by Mr. Window. The sales process was seemless and the windows are really quite nice. However, it is beyond clear that they need to hire another installation crew to help their guys out. Getting someone out to measure for the windows took multiple appointments and getting stood up as did the installation itself. On the day they actually installed, they were suppose to be here "in the afternoon", but didn't actually arrive until after 6:00p. They didn't leave our house until 8:40p. While they were here, we overheard one of the installers say that we were their 6th house to do an install on that day. That seems a little excessive for scheduling. I used to work for a local window company and we never schedule any crew for more than three installs in one day. If they have that many new installs happening, one would think they have the income to just hire another crew instead of working the ones you have to death and upsetting your customers with constant reschedules and no shows! I'm giving them three stars because, by what I can tell, the product itself is good, but the experience to obtain that product was not desirable at all.
J Robinson: Critical:ResponsivenessWe had windows installed and that went well enough. They had to come back and do a repair of one that got moisture inside the window. I now have two where the seals need repair and they refuse to respond or schedule a time to fix it. I am still trying to resolve it with them but be careful. I have not heard from them in two months.

Mike Sullivan, with sales, was informative, courteous, patient and didn't pressure us. Later Dave, who installed the windows, was prompt, careful and professional. Afterwards the clean up was thorough and complete. We are very satisfied with our experience with Mr. Windows and recommend them.

Dustin Homan: My wife and I weren’t prepared for our first window quote from a major, national retailer. After the sticker shock and scar from the high pressure sales pitch in our home wore off, we started searching for a local dealer. We found Mr. Window and are glad we did!Mr. Window matched the price of our home with appropriate windows (we didn’t need top-of-the-line). They showed us multiple quotes and options and even recommended we not buy the most expensive brand.Installation was smooth, too. Friendly installers who even replaced rotten wood they found. We would have liked for them to clean-up our floors and the window panes better after installation, but not a big deal.I didn’t give them 5 stars because I had to take initiative to learn the status of our installation. The manufacturer got behind, which isn’t their fault, but Mr. Window was not proactive in keeping us informed about the delays. I frequently had to call to find out when installation might happen. In a crowded market space, service sets companies apart. However, Mr. Window was prompt to return my calls.We will get consult Mr. Window when we get ready to replace our windows upstairs.
Jason Harris: Contracted Mr. Window to replace a glass sliding door. We interviewed five different companies and decided to go with Mr. Window because of their excellent customer service, especially the time they took to go through all of the details of the installation and describe the philosophy of their company. They spent more than 1 hour with us while every other company spent 30 minutes or less. Their price was in the ballpark of the others as well. We had a PGT hurricane proof door installed. The company kept in contact with us every step of the way. They were very responsive, courteous and communicated with us frequently. When the installation happened, Dustin and Will were great. Very professional, cleaned up thoroughly and came and went as promised. We had a small issue with one door and a secondary lock, but that was taken care of by Mr. Window expeditiously and without any complaints. In the end, the sales manager, Hunter visited us to check on things. First class operation from top to bottom. Highly recommend and will go with them when we replace our other windows.

They ghosted on our sales call.Update.... the company responded to the oversight and apologized.. did their best to make it right and follow up with additional communication. I would say that speaks volumes about the type of service you might receive if you choose them to install your new windows. Mistakes happen, we are human, but how a company responds is really key. Window universe Indianapolis seems to be very customer oriented. I appreciated their response to my complaint.

Patty Fritzsche: Shopping for new windows was an exhausting and dreadful experience until we came in contact with JR at Franklin Window and Doors. I was concerned FW&D was going to be out of our budget but they were understanding and more than willing to work with us. There are so many window companies that make so many different claims and it's tough to decipher who will do the best job and narrow down what is needed. JR came to our house and helped us understand the meaning behind the specifications, helped us pick a window that met those specs, and helped us stay within our budget. We also visited the showroom to view different options and we settled on the Marvin windows they offer. JR took time to answer all of our questions before our purchase, and cared about our experience. The windows were installed in a timely manner, they are the best looking windows on the market and they operate wonderfully. Their installers even sealed off a few doors for us free of charge, among other things. We had a great experience with JR and because of this we would highly recommend Franklin Window & Door to any of our family and friends. Eric Forney: I contacted Franklin Window and Door to do a small installation. Normally I'm the guy guilty of hiring low price contractors, however, I wanted to make sure this project was done correctly and with a high level of detail. I wanted transom windows installed in a dark living room that had no window openings. In order to install, FW&D had to remove the exterior brick veneer, frame for the new openings, and install the windows. I could not have been more happy with the result, and attentiveness of the field techs. I was shocked by how clean they kept my home and the jobsite. The project turned out 5 stars.
Brett Murphy: Worked with Scott & Cory for a exterior door replacement project. Looking at a fiberglass door to replace a insulated steel door plus a new vented storm door. They reviewed options from Therma-tru and Provia. Left there more comfortable and knowledgeable on my options. Definitely plan to order both from Franklin Window & Door as well as have their professional install both. I'll close with this, started at the big box stores. Wow, so many gaps in product quality, warranty and little gotchas. I'm thankful to have learned what I have to avoid being disappointed going down this path.

Shelly Cornelius: A Very Happy Ending!!I had new windows and a slider installed almost 2 years ago by a different franchise owner of The Window Source who neither had business sense nor people who actually knew how to install windows and quickly went out of business.The Window Source Indy opened a store downtown in January and when I called yesterday to ask for help with my windows, they agreed and were here this morning!!
