Palette & Paper: what do users think?
Rochelle Wiechers: This place! We were absolutely blown away with all of the items that were packed into every nook of this 1920's house. The house itself it absolutely gorgeous and the owners have really done a great job making it so welcoming and warm. The owners were so incredibly nice. The husband (Bill? William maybe?) invited us to go back into the workroom to see how they have it set up. He even gave us a little history about the house and some of the antique items in the home. The inventory. Wow. I have never been to a place that had all of the hard to find Tim Holtz items. If you know, you know that the holy craft store trinity (Hobby lobby, Michael's and JoAnn's) doesn't really get much of Tim's items and I don't think I have ever seen any of the newer oxides hit their shelves. It was so cool to see all of his things under 1 roof. The owners even offer a unique shopping experience by opening up for appointment only during the week right now. I thought that was amazing because it is very tight in there and my mom uses a walker so having the whole place to ourselves would be so cool! That was way too long of a review but if you're still on the fence about making the trip or taking the time to visit them (check their hours) - DO IT! I promise you will not be disappointed.
charles dale: First time stopping in. Normally do most of my purchasing online. Very cute place with rooms and rooms of products. Even though i have a huge amount of crafting supplies i managed to find a bag full of stuff to add.@christophercrafts pinterestThis place is still the best.
Susan Jaminet: The people were friendly, helpful and had a nice assortment. This was my first visit and looking forward to seeing you on Facebook. Thank you for opening on Sunday for the Shop Hop.
Shirley C: Omg this place has everything. Customer service is amazing. I will be going back.
Georgette Miles: Always a great experience and wonderful staff.
Melisa: Mare and her husband Bill makes this a fantastic place to shop. This is a house that they turned into a shop and they have crafting things in EVERY room. You can get lost in time just looking at everything. Mare has a workshop in the garage that she host different events in. Stop in and get lost. You will love it.
Stephanie P: Wonderful scrapbook, mixed media shoppe. Owners are extremely helpful and very kind. Great selection of classes from which to choose.
Matt Butler: Awesome scrapbook and card making supplies! People are very friendly and welcoming!
Heidi Renee: Great shop, love the variety, best art classes too. Such fun taking classes from well known artists!
Diana Pier: Awesome place for classes and everyone there is very helpful and down to earth
Kara Monroe: Love this little Shop. Tons of art and craft supplies.

Michaels: what do users think?
Anita Chaplin: I noticed when I went today that Michael's has % off prices on most stuff. That's great. Makes them more competitive with Hobby Lobby. I also joined their rewards club. They have a wide selection, and with $$ off it's a decent price. I always remembered them being high priced. Like the changes, think it's a positive direction.Update: 4/20/23 Michael's now has self checkout. Wasn't a cashier in sight, but you could ring a bell to get one. I did the self checkout. Took me a bit of reviewing to make sure I got the 20% off, which it did. I guess overall ok. Really, I like to do self checkout.
Sarah Rossier: If you want a peaceful and helpful craft shopping experience, make this your destination! The staff are helpful, easy to find, and well managed by the store manager. If they forget something, they will hold it for you. I was accidentally shorted an item, abs when I returned, it was bagged by the customer service associate with a note on it. I was beyond impressed! They have a great selection or seasonal and children’s items, and great books during the holiday season. If they do not have an item in stock, they will help you order it online or from another store location. Two thumbs up for this Michael’s!
J N: This location is always a nice visit. Never an issue to find anything. Prices good. Love the self-checkout option. It's our go-to for crafts.
Amber Beverly: Really enjoyed the flower selection
Amber Jointer: So many choices of yarn!
Kelly Greenwood: Friendly and helpful employees. Can usually find what I am looking for. Thier floral tend to be better quality than Joann Fabric.
Terri Hill Holt Bey: Nice and clean store! Friendly staff.
Mwamba Bwalanda: Best service
Shon Tempest: Their anty theft device is actually a metal detector that will go off weather you bought something or not.
Jessica Balascio: This place is as close to heaven on earth as one could wish. The staff is helpful and friendly; the stock is exceptional; and the breadth of items available is outstanding. Really really great
Drew Cookro: excellent service, great pricing on framing. Work was done to a high standard.
John T Rex: Very helpful staff
Anjala Dick: The yarn selection is abysmal. Seriously, why did you all shrink all of your yarn departments to barely anything?!?
Sikander Pasha: Good for craft specially for kids school project belongings...
Cathy Larsh: Yarn selection was small.
Lf Hedden: Clean
Christina Kataoka: I ordered yarn for same day delivery and got my order within 2 hours. Amazing!!
Sarah Le: No-one greeted us. Had to go to Meijer to get what we wanted
James & Kim Turpin: Didn't have anything , was stocked and price where very high on what they did have. The words get it together come to mind.
Neal Gerlach: We found what we were looking for. Be it yarn, holiday decorations, or cup cake papers. They have it all.
Diane Healy: Had what I was looking for.

Chris L: Good sales going on, 30, 40 and 50% off.
Virginia Beavo: I always find what I need
Sidney Kendrick: The place is a GHOST TOWN. I had to literally hunt down an employee to ask a question.
James & Kim Turpin: Good store. Family loves this place
LENA BILLINGSLEY: The store is lovely and set up so that just about everything is in a place you can find it. The staff is friendly, helpful, and professional, Just wish there were more personnel if you needed help. I'm always pleased shopping@ Joanne's because they always have new and interesting specialties for more then just sewing.
Shirley C: Employee really helped me to save money. Donna is awesome and very helpful.
Rickie Bellamy: Great place to purchase fabric and sewing machines. There is a large assortment of both items and more to choose from. Everyone there is very helpful and courteous. The place is very clean and organized to the point I was able to locate the things I was looking for.
Judy Norton: The app is horrible. Took me 3 days to finally get my order to process. My experience at the store was great 5 stars! The app, I would give it a zero but not an option!!
James Cochran: The lady that helped me was very knowledgeable and patient answering my silly questions about sewing machines since I only have YouTube knowledge how I'm going to do my sewing project.
Angie: They didn't have as much Christmas material as I had hoped.
Elaina Darden: Awful the c one in castle ton Square manager name Erica do not treat customers the same I will never go back
Vindorin: Excellent variety, but it took over five minutes to check out 4 items because the cashier was talking on the phone to someone about a personal purchase...
Elayne Arididon: They post half price coupons on items not on sale....EVEYTHING in the store is on sale..They have coupons for 25% off clearance and the same coupon at the bottom says CANNOT use on clearance items....Material was on LAST CHANCE tag item but rang up at full price....went back to store took a picture of the sign and got $ 8.20 back, BUT WHY do u need to do that??? The older lady at the front register answered the phone and yelled at the person on the other end I CANT UNDERSTAND YOU!!!! and hung up on the caller..
Paula Lawrence: Have a huge selection of everything. And prices were good.
Kristin E: Staff was very helpful and friendly. Great selection of items. Way more than just sewing supplies!
Marlenne Aguilar: Friendly staff, clean store, very well stocked!

I understand employees just want to get you out and head home. This lady didn't sacrifice her customer service. Clean store, well stocked and a great selection.
JustFollow Kenya (Mswhatleysworld): Joann's has a lot of classy Halloween decorations. The Art deco style Halloween decorations are some of the nicest decorations I have seen. I have posted several videos shopping for Halloween decorations videos on YouTube.

The Art Lab: what do users think?
brian johnson: Very nice art
Cary O: The Art Lab was amazing. We had 10 kids the age of 9 and they were so focused, creative and excited to create there own dress designs. Jackie taught the class and was so patient with them. This is such a great opportunity for kids to learn and be creative.
Arunima Ram: If you want a proper art experience and a patient art teacher, Maren's Art Lab is your best choice. I booked a kids birthday party at her art studio and she was so patient and understanding with all my questions, comments and such. We had a 2 hour party for about 14 kids. She had a helper in as well. The studio at the Main squeeze was so spacious and well lit, Kids were placed at a safe distance on each table. She had them start out with decorating goody bags and then introduced tracing the outline, tracing each parts and then gently guiding them towards the painting the colors in. She and her helper did their best to help kids out with the tracing and outlining. She kept the kids very engaged and as the canvas dried she made an air dry clay unicorn horn with them. Of course every 6 year old wants to put various colored crystals on their unicorn horns! As everything was drying she did a small song/dance party for the kids. The goody bags were filled with candies and cute stuff. My daughter loved her birthday party and her friends enjoyed it as well. Highly recommend this place for any kind of art parties and seeing how patient of a teacher she is, if you are inclined towards art classes, she would be a great choice.
Heidi Katz: The Art Lab was a professional, fun and perfect choice for our zoom museum holiday party. Maren was our instructor. She was prepared andenabled those of us, frightened at the very the idea of painting anything, to have a positive experience. Maren assured us that through a medium of our own choice (watercolor, pencil, acrylics, etc.)we would each be able to achieve an interpretation of our chosen work of art. By breaking down the image into layers, colors and shapes Maren enabled everyone to have a satisfying and educational experience. Thank you ART LAB for a wonderful afternoon!!
Sarah Ely: My daughter loves doing art here!
Jacob R: Just a great place to make art!!!
Jason Cooper: We just had our daughter's 7th birthday party here, with 25 other first grade girls. The kids loved it. The teachers really controlled the room. And they all loved the crafts they got to go home with.We were nervous about the large number of kids but it all went incredibly well. Thanks to Maren, etc.
Lisa Adler: Love the Art Lab! I've attended classes with my kids and with my daughter's girl scout troop. The instructors are knowledgeable, the classes are fun and great for kids. The kids get to do fun art projects (painting, clay, fairy gardens!) led by patient artist/teachers, and the mess gets left at studio! :)
Claire Brown: The Art Lab has fantastic programs for Girl Scouts! We have so much fun being creative in such a great environment!
Tracie Lowe: Lovely for our Girl Scout painting project. Wish signage was a bit more prominent
Randall Hubbell: Great place for art classes in the heart of Carmel

United Art & Education: what do users think?
Linda Hall: Big store and has everything you'd need plus more.
Carolyn Pagel: Great place
Anthony Chau: One of my favorite places. It is the main place I usually come to when shopping for art supplies. It is a store I look forward to revisiting. I appreciate how they stock inventory uncommon in other stores. Although I am not a teacher, I appreciate their education supplies. The people there are usually reserved but helpful. I like how they are non-salesy. I consider United Art and Education as a toy store that has allowed me to explore new and familiar tools to bring my imagination to life 😊.I feel lucky to consider this establishment as my local art supply store.
Jerry Meyers: This is my go-to place for drawing paper and illustration supplies. Selection is great and staff is helpful. The girl up front (who's name I can't remember. Pretty red head.) Was genuinely interested in helping my wife and me.
Jamie Whitacre: Found what we needed and was greeted by friendly staff
TheSqaull17: Not bad, it did have art supplies I wanted and needed too.
Breanna Bierod: They are so kind and helpful. I’ve shopped here for 10 years and they always have the supplies I need for both teaching art and personal projects. Sometimes we even chat about what projects I’m up to. Highly recommend
Wes Blue: I wish this store had been in business when my kids were young.
Jason Wineinger: Great selection of affordable art and educational materials but not great to their employees. While the managers who run the stores themselves are good people, upper management is filled with bumbling, myopic, paranoid individuals who can barely run a business. They seem very disinterested in making the company a viable chain, so just assume one day your favorite location is going to close at the drop of a hat. In my nine years there I saw multiple stores close and multiple people let go without any warning, including two managers who'd been with them for ten years. Other than that it's a good store.
Mindframe: My son's favorite "toy store"
Tracey Forrest: This store is so fun...I live in Bloomington but we drive to Indy just to come here. This store isnt just for teachers.I love all the craft items they have. They also have lots of other cute toys and other items.I just enjoy looking around and seeing what all they have.I always spend so much money when I come here.lol....Love this store💜💜💜
Alyse Ogle: They have a better selection than most craft stores!
Maria Utter: Nice store. Somewhat expensive.
Megan C.: This store is great for unique gifts, supplies for whatever creative thing you are working on, and obviously teacher supplies.
Christian Licea-Martinez: I was helped by a hot goth girl worker there 10/10 would get a job there
Aimee Ferguson: This store is great! I shop there for art supplies, decent selection of acrylic paints and a few mediums. I love the hardboard panels, and always find other odds and ends to add to my stash. I went in Saturday for some Chromacryl texture paste because I saw it on their website. They didn't have any but ordered me two tubs and said I can pay for it when it comes in. Two thumbs way up.
Brandie Woods: Decently priced and wide variety
Glenn Anderson II: They had what I was looking for. Staff was a little hard to engage for assistance.
Kelly G.: Wow they pretty much have it all. Neat store, friendly helpful staff.
R Higgins: I usually find exactly what I need and much more at United Art & Education. Prices can be a bit higher than Amazon or the like, but if you sign up for the email or rewards you get coupons fairly often.
Odalys: Awesome prices and a good variety for those of us who paint :)

Tabby Tree Weaver: what do users think?
Maria Porterfield: Sandi is very generous in helping with weaving questions. Love this store
Kathy English: I found this shop while vacationing in the area. Its a great weaving and spinning store - the owner is very knowledgeable and happy to share. They stock tons of fiber for both weaving and spinning- as well as numerous looms and spinning wheels - if felting is you thing she has that too!I found something new around every corner!
Janelle Ohlemiller: I took a one-on-one lesson from Sandi at Tabby Tree, and I really enjoyed it! She was helpful and encouraging, and she took my learning style into account by showing me how to do things and then letting me try. In addition to learning how to use a rigid heddle loom, I learned several skills which I can apply to all weaving. The shop was comfortable and well-stocked with every tool she needed to help me learn. I ordered a rigid heddle loom through her, and she really helped me understand the different options. This is a great shop for weavers of every level of ability!
Ryan Snyder: Nice place with lots of selection. Wife walked out happy so that's 5 stars for me.
J “Nunja Bidnizz” R: Very nice selection with a very nice owner. They have supplies no matter what kind of weaving you are doing. Some knitting yarns and some spinning fiber
Veronica Jurek: So, I don't live in the Fishers area, but my mom does and she asked for a certain gift from Tabby Tree Weavers. Unfortunately, they were out of stock. I had reached out to the owner, Sandi, and let me say, she was amazing. They were so helpful and communicative, because of the mail slow-downs the US is dealing with, she was so helpful in letting me know if what I was wanting came in or not. And when it did, she let me know. Shipping was FAST. It came so fast, I was surprised and it was packaged well.If you are into weaving/looming, Sandi was so helpful with just buying a product from her website I can only imagine how helpful she would be in a class or just shopping in person. For the customer service alone, I would definitely recommend Tabby Tree Weavers. Plus, love to support small/local business!!
Cecilia Mencias: Very cute place, accommodating to my schedule for classes. Just wish it wasn't so far away from me!!!
Tina Hilton: Tabby Tree is wonderful. There is lots of beautiful yarn, fiber, books, looms, and spinning wheels. Sandi has helpful advice and schedules many classes for those who want to learn.
Nicole Burgess: I love this store! Sandi is knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Her shop has everything I need for my weaving projects and then some. Equipment to fiber and books. I am grateful Tabby Tree Weaver is local, so I can go in and look at colors and textures of yarns.
Eva Lutz: Love it!! I took a private class with Sandi to learn the basics of floor loom weaving. She was super accommodating, knowledgeable and fun and friendly. Her shop has everything I need to get started as well as anything I might need going forward. Equipment to fiber and learning resources. She has a steady stream of loyal customers and does anything she can to help.I’m going back for another class in a couple of weeks but I can always find her answering my questions and helping me along anytime. I consider myself very lucky to have Tabby Tree Weaver close by. You should check it out!!
Lisa Childers: Great for weavers and have some yarn for knitters
Felecia H: As a crocheter, I wasn't sure if they'd have anything I could use, but I'd been looking for a fine, vibrant yarn for a long time so I thought I'd give it a try. SO HAPPY I DID! The variety is wonderful and I never knew cottons came in such nice colors! They have thicker yarns as well as looms and even spinning wheels! The owner is also incredibly helpful and sells some equipment (like looms and spinning wheels) on consignment.

JOANN Fabric and Crafts: what do users think?
N Odell: Husqvarna Viking dealer there. Cotton & other fabrics available, lots of yarn, Wilton cooking items, crafts, etc.
Marnie Selbo: Was a little annoyed about the cut counter being closed at 8:00 this evening but the lady who was working let me know it was because they were short staffed she helped me find everything else I needed after that and provided great customer although you need more staff.
Erik Wentz: Was told they couldn't cut fabric to sell, because they were short staffed. At a fabric store?!?
Alaina Joyce: Loved today's sewing class with Melissa and Debbie in the Viking sublet store. We wholeheartedly appreciated the guidance and experience of these two. They patiently answered all our questions and helped these novices feel comfortable on the machine. Two gems. Many thanks for the personal interest and the kindness. We look forward to the next sessions.
June Anderson Quarbo: Lots of variety but expensive
Tina Roland: The dirtiest store I’ve been in. One clerk to check out. It took 30 minutes to check out. It’s too bad. We need fabric stores. I can’t believe that this store could stay in business under these conditions
Shyla Ratcliff: The staff is usually very helpful, but that’s not where my issue is…I had to use the bathroom, but the bathroom was disgusting…and it’s not the first time I’ve seen it like that..
Deana Harter: Had just the perfect fabric for new kitchen curtains.
Eric Klinkowski: This place is a time machine. If you are suffering from something incurable, just stand around in here. Time goes by incredibly slower here. By the time you leave a cure will have been found.
Westin Williamson: Nice staff and selection.
Annemarie L: I was impressed by the offers (was lucky to get some great on sale products - nice fabrics and Christmas decoration with up to 80% discount). Take your time to have a look at everything in the shop. (for me 1h was not enough 😄) Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Hash Brown: I needed an unknown fabric for an odd project. I lucked out and not only found the perfect fabric, it was also on clearance. Crafts aren't reall my thing, but the selection here is amazing! Great people too!
Andrew McCurry: Joann's is my go to craft store. If I can't find what I want, it's not hard to find someone to ask who knows. I've never had a bad interaction here.
Abdmojrim: Thank you Carol for the outstanding customer service and help!!
Sarah Le: I was surprised I didn't find much for loom knitting
Bob Carnahan: My wife loves the knitting and crocheting items. Lots of fabrics to choose from. I like the various other crafty items, as I am always looking for different hobbies to try out.
Lainey B: Great craft store. Plenty of fabrics if you like sewing.
David Boyd: I am giving it a 3 stars. Not really for the store or what they have, but for the poor customer service recently. One cashier and a long line of customers wanting to check out. Yes labor market has some issues but that was inexcusable
Stacy D: Went in for some Susan Bates crochet hooks and a few odds & ends. My go to store for these. I first noticed that the Packaging on them has gotten much smaller (yay) & displays have changed (acrylic color coded divided like pencil cups) and so have prices. Just small stickers folded in half on the crochet hooks now, not easy to remove the adhesive FYI. Seems like prices wouldn't go up so much with the packaging so minimal but maybe it is the price of the display? They are roughly $4 each now, just sayin'. Several sizes were not available and I didn't see the silvalume handled ones at all.It was Monday evening and the store was mostly quiet. Friendly staff. A couple of yarn Items marked clearance rang up $3 more than regular price and not clearance. No real explanation but oh well.Overall good experience just because it wasn't crazy busy there so I got peaceful time to look and employees and customers alike were pleasant.
Janet Barron: Went to JoAnns looking for fur trim, some piping, and thread to make a tree skirt with some custom printed material I purhased online. Found everything I needed and even got some advice to check out another custom fabric printing place online!
Jennifer De Cou Rodriguez: VERY HELPFUL STAFF They always help me find what i need.
