    joe feel: good job. two stars.customer service lack. i need a 1099 sent to a new address because i have moved out of state. was made to feel confident that That Will Happen, and then weeks later still no 1099-INT.2022 Update: The customer service experiences I've had in the past few years (2-3 total) have somewhat improved. Being COMPLETELY honest-- I've requested basic service, but the Bank Of Indianapolis response/action has been cluncky. Our money market account (approx 14K) has grown less than 1K since it's start in 2007. So, reader, please take an extra moment to try to understand why I might be less than impressed with the Bank of Indianapolis.

    Emanuel Isakov: Decent bank that urgently needs to get with the times. I love small banks and the service here is usually great. But every problem I’ve ever had here is about their ATM’s. Their ATM’s (at least all the ones I’ve visited) still require you to use an envelope and a deposit slip. Seriously, what century is this? Is the logic there that if you need to deposit after hours, you’re supposed to walk into a branch during business hours, get a deposit slip, go get a pen from home, fill out the slip and the envelope, then go back to use their ATM? Cash scan ATM’s have become the norm specifically to adapt banking into a digital world. It isn’t 1999 anymore.If you happen to be an unfortunate soul with a full-time job working until 5:00pm every day, you are literally unable to make deposits at this bank. My options are to give up a lunch break or consider their competitors. I’m literally trying to give them my money and their outdated tech makes it impossible.
    Matthew Deck: My 19 year old daughter got legitimately scammed out of her life savings. The National Bank of Indianapolis responded immediately with care, concern, and a strong sense of urgency. Due to their efforts and actions, my daughter will be getting her money back!!! This mentality starts at the top with their President and Vice Presidents. They have a great foundation and backbone!     Susan Haber: Quintessential neighborhood bank experience. They know my kids’ names, care about helping our family make sound financial decisions and help when we ask. And who can say no to a Hershey kiss every so often?
    Bookkeeper Bookkeeper: THE WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Useless customer service, have been calling them 17 times for the same thing, still didn't solve my problem so I just decided to close my account! No idea how are they syill in business! Even 1 star is too much!
    Gary Hood: The most difficult bank I've ever encountered. Have attempted to change treasurer for a non-profit. After 4 months providing documentation, signature card, meeting minutes, a certification from the organization President, and multiple visits to their offices, NBoI can't seem to determine who needs to make approval and get this done. Just today they took down online access to the account. You get messages from them with no name, just a department identification. Terrible and incredibly frustrating. (see post script below)Post script: It is the day after making my post above. I was contacted by numerous people at the bank and by the end of the day, the proper paperwork and approvals were completed and full online access to the account was enabled. The bank stepped up with all issues being promptly and fully addressed. Just as performance issues need to be called out, exceptional performance also deserves to be rewarded as well. Congratulations to NBOI on a job well done!
    mijat777: The worst customer service over the phone!!!! Spent 2 hours, talked to 6 different people, JUST TO REPORT STOLEN CARD AND ORDER A NEW ONE ON DIFFERENT ADDRESS..... UNBELIEVABLE... and yeah, I was able to cancel card but NOT TO CHANGE ADDRESS, first time I'm in Indy I'm canceling whole thing...

    Hanson Coop: The Castleton branch is always friendly and helpful, seldom a line.However, the commercial lending department is very "good o'boy". The come up with excessive fees and rates, the loan application progress is ridiculous long, they rope you in and then "skin" you. Always requesting more reports. The officers especially a Scott is rude, does not return calls and truly talks down to you. The commercial lending is a joke with high fees. Watch out

    W: If USB hadn't given us a good mortgage rate we'd never have stuck with them. They are by far the most unorganized and disrespectful bank I've ever dealt with. It took us 4 months to refi with them and we were already with them! They had all the info. They constantly recalculate my escrow higher.
    Steve Smith: I choose USB based on the reviews. I went through the 800 number and didn't not go local. My loan was poorly handled by the loan officer, the manager when it was escalated, and by the escrow department when things still were not addressed. Outside of the poor service, they failed to pay my insurance and my policy was cancelled.I didn't not find out about this until I recently had a claim but this was the escrow issue that was to have been addressed by their escrow department. If you decided to use them, I would go local since and have a personal contact.
    Thomas Gross: Took 7 weeks to close. Never heard from them. Left 4 voicemails and sent 3 emails that were never returned. Escrow changed after 1 month due to their miscalculation. They never notified me in advance, just called to let me know they could not process the lower payment.Update: They did not make my home owners insurance payment so I have been without coverage for the last week without knowing it. Terrible service! They contacted me two weeks after the policy had lapsed to let me know they did not know how to make the payment.Can not wait to refinance to another bank. You are unable to see your mortgage balance online and they charge you to make a mortgage payment electronically.
    Jamie Petrowski: Very poor experience TRYING to work with them. Their team lacked communication skills to return calls and had a hard time even getting email response from some of the team members. CV-19 was the excuse believe it or not with the 9 month process to try and refi our home. I have never met an organization that lied about things, not knowing the customer (me) has the proof to show they lied in writing. Anyhow, I would highly suggest to not work with these people unless you like a team of individuals that do not communicate, lie, and feel like they don't need to earn your business.
    Sidney Chang: After closed my mortgage loan, Union Saving bank hold my overpay and insurance escrow since Oct, 8 2020. Now, Dec. 21st, I still can not get any answer form escrow department. The only answer i got is Covid. 19 cause the delay without let me know when they can resolve the problem.

    Gregory Stewart: I have financed three homes with these guys, and they consistently compete with the sea of loan flippers. If you want to see what non-service is, try getting a loan with a company that sells it the month after they close the deal. I have always had a good experience, and even like their old-fashioned lending practices. There are places making up numbers just to turn a loan. I don't see them doing that here, and most of the advice I received was right on the money. They closed on time in the middle of a pandemic, and this allowed me to nail down an awesome new property (and loan) and without having to play real estate games. I can recommend Brett Boston without reservation. Same with the whole company, all the way back to HQ in Cincinnati.
