Joe Ashbrook: Had to wait for fresh turkey which was no big deal. The guy on the phone (Andrew I think) was super apologetic and gave me a free desert! When I got there everyone was super friendly and insisted I take a drink. In the rush of trying to make things right they forgot a sandwich, no big deal he called immediately and insisted I take a free meal. Customer service and food was amazing like always! Will definitely be back soon!

Zure: We stopped in for dinner. Their meals are well priced, especially the platters to share. The ribs were very good and fell off the bone. The brisket left something to be desired and was somewhat dry. Their sauces are very good.

Timothy L. Price: I wanted BBQ. Never heard of this place as I live in Nebraska. I got the salad with brisket, and peach cobbler. The ambience was just like you’d want, not loud music or too dark to see your food. The amount of grub was plenteous, which beats most bbq places. The peach cobbler was to die for. I made the right choice. This place beat Famous Dave’s by a 100 years.

C Deo: Always our go to restaurant while in Indy. Great steaks and good drinks. Can’t go wrong with any of the the steaks, they’re all excellent. Make sure to ask for Tony for your server. He knows his stuff. One of those rare servers who intuitively knows what you want before you ask for it. He’ll steer you in the right direction and wants to make sure you enjoy your meal. If you’re a bourbon drinker try the vintage old fashion. They infuse the bourbon with a smoke flavor. Excellent drink!

Rick Roseberry: Had not ever eaten here before but been by it numerous times when visiting Indy, so my wife and I decided to give it a try. We tried two appetizer, the crab cake and pretzels. Crab cake was excellent. The pretzels were good a little leathery on the outside but warm and tender on the inside, cheese dip was really good. My wife had the shrimp and subbed the mac n cheese for her side. She said the shrimp were very good but slightly overcooked. She said the mac n cheese was excellent. I had the BBQ meatloaf. Excellent flavor but on the dry side. I had the standard sides and they were very good. What the standout of the meal was our service which was outstanding. Friendly and prompt, attentive without being pesty. Kudos to the staff at Weber Grill.

Chris Lee: Some of the bar b que options of any Indianapolis restaurant. Easy to find location on west 86th street. It is close to interstate 465. The staff here are fantastic and make great menu recommendations. The food is delicious and comes out quickly so you can have lunch here on a tight schedule. There is plenty of parking and the restaurant is very clean.

Jason Horner: The brisket is superb, very tender with great caramelized edges. They have real sugar soda and a great coffee bar. The owner is a great guy who is great to talk too. I normally come here once a week to enjoy the food.As a side note he dealt with a rather rude customer who did not want to read the menu or listen to what he recommended. Paul: Reasonably priced and well made. The ramen was excellent but has limited availability. The pickled onions were great too. The single sauce is very much an Indiana super sweet sauce but it's an Indiana restaurant so that's probably not a problem for most folks. Still, more sauce options would be an easy way to expand the flavors. The owner/chef is really cool. We chatted for a bit while eating and he's super nice. Definitely worth checking out.

She was super sweet and as a result, I spent more than I planned, ate more than I should and enjoyed myself far more than I expected....and I am going to blame her. She had me at Hello. Then the Tuesday special...followed by, that ooooh soooo sweetly charming "Can I interest you in a drink and dessert." REALLY, as if I have any self contro. The cholocate cake REALLY, Yes, I ate the whole thing. The Ribs...OMG. And did I mention the mac and cheese (not as good as mine, but it was there and I couldn't help myself). Tynae is an "Enabler" who TOTALLY took advantage of my weakness and well...now you have it. It was all her fault. And to think, I was headed to Arby's. Thank you She is AMAZING. The pulled pork was moist and abundant on my sandwich, the brisket was moist and abundant on my son's sandwich as well. In my opinion, the only thing they failed on was the coleslaw. It was bland & room temperature. All my life (and this might be just the way I like it), I've always been used to coleslaw being served cold and somewhat sweet or at least having a decent amount of juice to go with the slaw, but the slaw at City Barbecue wasn't that way. The sweet tea was awesome and tasted like it was fresh sun tea. I will be a return customer, but just probably won't order the coleslaw.

The Brisket on a bun could have been eaten without any sauces, but I still poured a mixture of original/brushfire atop. As mentioned before, I've had it before, typically catered at work. This is my first experience dinning in. Everyone I interacted with was very polite and professional. I like the real plates and silverware made available if you needed them. The only negative, we pushed two tables together, both of them wobbled like nobody's business. I don't know if the floor was so poorly leveled during construction, or the legs were missing pads, bent, etc. I believe we will certainly be back when the brisket crave hits me again.

Jazzy Jaz: Came here for the first time. The customer service was not the best. The lady at the counter was a bit intimidating. I wasn’t exactly sure how to order what I wanted because it was my first time here so I felt a bit rushed to “spit it out”. But whatever I get when it’s busy they want you in and out. The Mac tasted like Panera bread powdered cheese mac. The ribs had so much fat in them I couldn’t find any meat and the meat that I could find was chewy. I don’t think they actually smoked the ribs. No smoky flavor what so ever and the bbq sauce was horrible. If the bbq sauce was good I could’ve overlooked the ribs being broiled. The barbecue sauce had some sore of vinegary taste… like someone added ketchup or something. Couldnt quite put my finger on it but it didn’t have the sweet smoky undertones bbq sauce should have. If you want good ribs that are actually barbecued I would recommend Kings.

These amazing ppl made it even better though by helping us fill a very large order for my aunt's repass. We took all the ribs and bbq pig feet for the night but they took it in stride and got our order together pretty quickly for 3 large trays of food. The food was delicious as usual. Big Sal: Quietly excellent. Each thing I tried confused me as to why it tasted so good in such a subdued place. On closer inspection of the decor I noticed a wall ribbons and plaques of consistent BBQ awards. This owner has spent his time perfecting his bbq craft and shares the results here. The atmosphere is bodega-esqe with good size dine in space and a great homey feel. They are Closing down at end of September for a month or 2 , let's hope this place comes back open soon, it's a hidden gem for sure.
