Stephanie H: The studio is clean and beautiful. Mr. Justin has an insane energy level and the kids feed off his enthusiasm for dance. My 3 year old loves him and couldn't wait for dance to start this fall season. The studio is full of diversity and offers the best environment for ALL dancers.
Asha: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueBest dance studio. We love Mr.Justin and Mr.Will and a great team overall.
kimberly white: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,ValuePhoenix Rising has become family to us! The patience and care that the staff pours into my daughter is forever appreciated. Her love for dance and passion for the art is due entirely to the dedication and teachings of PRDS! I would highly recommend this company to all my family and friends with little ones!
Janelle Reed: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueAn amazing dance studio that not only teaches different dance techniques; they also build confidence in affirming the students worth and abilities.
Tiffany Smith: Positive:QualityThis studio has truly added a *spark* to my daughters dancing. She is pushing herself harder then she ever has but is having more fun too. This studio is diverse and inclusive and insists on positive engagement between dancers. Highly recommend.
Harly Materan: Excellent place to learn!! The energy in this place was to the roof!! 100% recommended!! Join this team!!
Katie Green: I drive every Monday 35 minutes for my daughter to attend class with Mr. Justin. I would drive five times that long. Mr. Justin doesn't only teach my four year old dance, he builds her self confidence, demands respect for others, and guides her through difficult emotions. I admire him and adore his program. I know my child will be a better dancer for being a part of Phoenix Rising.. More importantly, she will be a better person.
Leslie Mamon: I am so happy that my friend recommended Phoenix Rising Dance Studio! The staff is so personable, warm and welcoming! The other dance moms made me feel very welcomed and my daughter had a great first session. She can't wait for her next session! She really enjoyed Mr. Jordyn's Hip-Hop class! Overall, I'm excited for us to have joined the Phoenix Rising Dance Studio! I highly recommended this studio!
Amy Ewing: A wonderful studio and a great place for instilling the love of dance. My girls walk out of class everyday with a huge smile and saying how fast time flew by. The joy and positivity they experience while learning dance skills as well as self-confidence and self-love is amazing. There are lots of classes available in different dance styles and the most caring instructors/owners. I highly recommend this dance studio.
britton bellamy: Love the space and acoustics in the rooms
Christopher Suder: My daughter has absolutely loved her time here. I couldn't think of a better environment for her to thrive in. Highly recommend!
Keyanna Miller: Very good studio with great instructors!! Clean neat space!! Comfy Lounge area for waiting parents!!

Adgereana Stewart: My daughter is growing up in this studio and just loves each class. Will and Justin do an amazing job of placing and promoting the dancer according to their level. My daughter is developing and encouraged to dance at excellence ,while still having so much fun! I enjoy the family atmosphere that’s promoted and refer all family and friends to this studio!
Heather Darring: My daughter loves dancing at Phoenix Rising Dance Studio! She struggled to fit in and feel confident at another studio, but this is where she belongs. She's grown so much in the last year and I think it's largely because of the positive culture and environment of the studio.
Elizabeth García: Es un lugar increíble los maestros son estupendos pasientes exelente trabajo lo recomiendo al 💯 x 💯
Sam Lukas: Great leadership. Professional grade instruction, without being intimidating. Fun for all ages and skill level. I highly recommend PRD Studio! My 9 year old began 2 months ago and loves it. Come in, say hi, and see what they have to offer.
Dana Kujawa: This is the only dance studio that intersted both son and daughters. Justin is a fantastic teacher and his attitiude and energy made the kids want to return for more. The owner Will was very flexible with our schedule, something rarely found at dance studios. I've referred several people to this studio. There's no politics and craziness going on behind the scenes. Just great dancing for all levels from beginning to competetive.
Crossroads Dance: Wonderful teachers, beautiful studios, and caring management! PRD is a great place for fun, learning, and improving dance technique for all ages! We are so glad to work with Will and Justin and call PRD home.

Sarah Gross: I booked a Silks party for my sister's bachelorette party and it was an absolute BLAST! Katie was our instructor and she was so fun and helpful and so very welcoming. It was a great workout and a ton of fun, I would absolutely recommend it! If I were local I'd definitely sign up for any of their classes.
Stephanie Miljkovic: Came for a Bach party and we were lucky to have the owner teach our silk class!! She was phenomenal and showed us a great time while celebrating the bride! Very skill appropriate for beginners and knowledgeable. Would recommend!
Hayley DeWitt: I’ve been going to DID Fit for 2 years (3 in October) and it’s become a second home of mine. It’s where I spend most of my time. The atmosphere is fantastic. The instructors are absolutely amazing, everyone is so sweet and welcoming, and the classes are so fun! I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a fun way to explore fitness. It’s great for everyone whether you’re just breaking into fitness and aerial sports or whether you’ve been in fitness/aerial sports for a while. I’ve even introduced the studio to several friends and my significant other.
Angela Riffle: We had a girls day here. There were eight of us. It was a blast!! The instructor was super sweet and patient with us. We will definitely be taking additional classes in the near future.
Haley Davis: Absolutely amazing place! Every instructor is amazing and so supportive!!! I always have a great time and recommend classes to everyone!
Britt B: Let me just start by saying, I've never been somewhere so welcoming to absolutely everyone. I've been a regular at this studio since mid-July 2022 and absolutely love all of the classes. There's a little bit of something for everyone between Pole, Lyra, Silks, Liquid Motion, Yoga, and more! All of the instructors are absolutely fabulous and are great at what they do. They are detailed in the instruction, able to spot for some of the more difficult tricks for safety, and just genuinely great people to talk to. Not only are the instructors friendly, but so is everyone else in the classes. Everyone cheers for each other's accomplishments and want to see their peers succeed. If you're on the fence for trying out a class, definitely do!
LeTia Hill: I’ve been going here for years . I recently started coming back after taking a year off. I booked a class with Julianne & it was amazing. She is so so good. I also had a private with Adrie & she just made me feel so good about myself. Taking a year off is a lot for a poler but having these ladies cheering me on made me realize how much I miss pole. 10/10 recommend DID FIT ! They are welcoming and genuinely care about teaching and helping fellow polers reach their goals .
T. Hobson: The studio is amazing! While I’ve taken private lessons with Mimi and Shelby, all of the coaches and students I’ve interacted with are so encouraging. The more I do, the more I love it! ❤️
Nicole Robinson: So my gf says look be ready at 11 am on Saturday we got more adventures. We both turn 49 this month so we have set out to get something new. This was the best class ever. She's into fitness and I'm in chocolate. But we had a great time and we will be back to try other Classes.
Morgan Mosier: It's so pretty inside and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I can't wait ti come back !
angel groves: Positive:Professionalism,ValueAttended a beginner pole class with instructor Katie and it was so much fun!! I had never attempted something like this and she taught each move slowly and provided suggestions if you didn't nail it your first try. Highly recommend!!
Tori Hampton: They are very unprofessional I just drove 45 minutes to this studio for them to tell me I need a mask and that don’t have any for sell I booked online and there was no where on the site that said anything about a mask. I also called beforehand to let them know I was going to be 10 minutes late and still no one mentioned anything about a mask. I am highly upset they need better staff.
Allison Crooks: Awesome! Very welcoming to a complete beginner and very fun. A definite good workout as well. Excited to return.
Jendayi Day: Im taking pole classes and the other comments are absolutely true. Encouragement is big, teachers take their time and let you work at your own pace as long as you give your best attempt. No one cares about body type either so dont sweat it if you dont look a certain way. Theres also no rush to move into upper level classes if your not comfortable. Its worth it guys.
maddy huntley: 100/10 would recommend, I've been going here for over a year and everyone is so kind, easy to get along with, the place is very clean and the instructors are amazing!!!
Karri Woodard: First time here...loved it!! Will definitely be back!
Eden Sitayu: I’m a disabled performer, and DID Fit studio has made me feel at home. They’ve uplifted me, guided, encouraged and pushed me to my limits...and when I’ve gotten there...they push more. This studio is truly my second home. I love every instructor and student! The instructors are extremely knowledgeable, polite and professional!! They are always learning the latest and greatest in pole to teach to us. 100/100 would recommend! DID Fit Studio truly is for every BODY!
Rachelle Davis: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ValueAmazing studio, everyone is so friendly and encouraging! Best workout ever!
Brittney Byers: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
Adrie Jenkins: This is my second home! Wouldn't choose any other studio!
Lynsie Harper: Positive:QualityI love DID fit ! Always leave feeling amazing & the gals who come in are great energy - tons of fun. Get you some dance therapy and upper body workout all in 1

Jordan Leigh Wheatley: Chrome is the best and my favorite place to be. The focus on technique and safety makes them stand out.
Laura Recendez: Chrome is such an amazing place to start your pole journey! I never thought pole would be my thing, but this studio has been so welcoming and everyone there does their best to make sure you reach your goals! You couldn't ask for a more helpful group of instructors, or a more fun and inclusive environment!
Sess Eka: Chrome Fitness is by far the best pole studio I've ever visited and I have been attending classes here for years now. Marcy, the owner, is an absolute pro at all she does. I've never felt so encouraged and at the same challenged in the best way to become my best self mentally and physically. The quality of the instruction here is beyond any other fitness studio. There are pole classes, general dance classes, and other fitness classes like strength training (chrome con), zumba, and bootcamp. Marcy's Zumba class is the most fun Zumba class I've ever experienced and it's challenging in the best way. There are many other great instructors here as well - shout out to everyone. Another great aspect of Chrome Fitness is the community - you'll feel the support and encouragement while you're challenging yourself and that is priceless. Learning to dance here did wonders for my self esteem and confidence. To top it all off, this studio is very clean and beautiful.
кคץɭค ๓คгเє: Thank you for giving me a safe and supportive place to learn a new skill 💜
Shannon Rice: I decided to try something new despite being nervous. Absolutely fantastic workout and tons of fun! The whole atmosphere is supportive and motivating. The teachers are all so sweet and talented. My classmates have become some of my best friends and I love them all.
Sonja Carpiaux: It’s great to be able to work out with the Chrome ladies and I’ve loved the extra options for working out remotely. Plus, Marcy is amazing at making workouts fun, challenging and still achievable no matter your current ability. Thank you!!
Morgan Sheets: There truly is no place like Chrome! I started going at the beginning of 2020 and my experience has far exceeded my expectations and given me more than I even knew I was looking for! Not only am I having a lot of fun, but my body is becoming strong, I have more control of it than ever, and I can see all of that in both how my body looks and how I move. I can't imagine exercising any other way now!
Aiesha Williams: Great place to workout great vibes and the women are amazing and sooo motivational.
Hannah Gilson: Amazing, unique, and fun variety of weekly workouts and monthly classes. There are So many fun things to try here no matter your skill level (I had 0). I have gotten so strong and confident since coming here! If you do pole classes, there are series's of classes that progressively and safely teach you how to be a pro. And most importantly- the owner, every instructor, and Literally all of the women there create a supportive and zero-judgement, safe space community. Love it here so much. Always a good, high-energy, sweaty time lol
Melodi Ak: Great instructor and super fun class!
Kelsey Truex: Chrome is my home away from home. I know the moment I walk through the door I will be greeted with love and support from all the amazing women who go there. Chrome has a wide variety of dance and fitness classes, not just pole! Every single one of them is challenging and fun, and I have never walked away from a class feeling like I didn't get my money's worth. Marcy is an inspiration. Not just with her pole and fitness skills, but how she runs her local business. I would highly recommend Chrome to anyone who is wanting to try something new!
Margarita Polerina: This is my favorite place to be! Everyone is super supportive and encouraging! Marcy the owner is absolutely amazing! I started coming here over two years ago and I am forever grateful. I encourage every woman to try pole fitness no matter who you are, it has transformed my life. I love that Chrome offers so many classes like Zumba, weights, cardio, dance classes, conditioning classes, stretch and yoga. It’s definitely the whole package!
Kristen Heath: I have been going to Chrome Fitness for four years and it is my home away from home. Everything about this studio is amazing! The owner is the most genuine person you will ever meet! She is knowledgeable in many areas of physical fitness, hosts an inclusive and safe environment for women of all types, and shows a sincere interest in all her clientele and their personal journeys. The women who work out at Chrome are the most supportive, inspiring, and empowering bunch you will find. It is a place to grow strong and fit, but it is also a place to grow in your confidence and your belief in yourself. There are many wonderful classes with talented instructors who are beautiful inside and out. You will never grow bored with the passionate classes they present to you monthly. You can learn to twerk, try your hand at contemporary style, learn the art of liquid motion floorwork, and back it up in a hip hop class. You can pole dance, pound sticks, lift weights, chair dance, shake it in Zumba and stretch it in yoga. These workouts are so much fun! There is a reason the women who work out here say, “There is no place like Chrome!”
bek burnette: I love Chrome! Not only are the ladies that instruct you kind, caring, and incredibly knowledgeable, you will gain muscles that I swore were made up for anatomy books! I have gained not only strength, but also confidence in myself and my body. Marcy creates an environment with her staff that is so welcoming and encouraging! All the instructors make sure that you understand what is going on. Regardless if you are having a moment where the brain is lagging or if you are just hesitant. There really are not enough words that I have for how much I truly enjoy this place, and all those in it. If you are on the fence, come see it for yourself!
Mary Rizk Michail: I have never stuck to a work out plan in my life and have no dance background. This is the only thing I have maintained and it's because of how amazing it is. I have been going to Chrome since 2015! It's the best workout and the best atmosphere! The instructors are very caring and really want you to succeed. They will make you feel right at home and will work with any needs you have. I've had 2 babies and was able to safely continue working out because of the highly trained staff. This is a safe place to get healthy, strong, have fun, and make friends!
Sierra Martinez: The atmosphere at Chrome is amazing! With a bunch of different classes to choose from, it's easy to find a workout you'll have a blast doing! It's awesome to be surrounded by so many strong and supportive women. Highly recommended.
Taconna Daniels: Marcy was great,.. made me feel at home, great postive experience. I was looking for a fitness place besides the gym that was tailored to womens needs. And i found a home a Chrome Fitness... Chrome 101 here I come...
Ashley Moriarty: I love Chrome Fitness. This is a wonderful, woman forward, total health movement. Marcy is so cheerful and takes the time to know all of her students. She helps them become their best through encouragement and pushing their limits (safely of course). The other instructors are great in everything they do as well.
Leslie Myers: So much fun and a see one way to sneak in exercise
Andrea Milakis: There's no place like chrome! It's such a fun and positive environment.
Margarita Sandoval: Moving to Indy from the suburbs of Chicago I was looking for a new pole dance studio. I signed up for the trial and instantly fell in love! I love that Chrome offers so many different kinds of classes. Marcy is absolutely amazing! I've been with the studio for almost a year and it's worth everything. I have made friends and I look forward to coming to class! I've always had a hard time sticking to a gym or exercise program but this is it!! Thank you Marcy for motivating us and making us strong!!!

PoHillBilly RedNeckery: Great school for dance.
Tara Whipple: The teacher is very patient and so good with the kids. My daughter loves it.
Art Time Laps And Tutorials: I don’t recommend this place at all. This is my 11th year of dance at the studio and every year they get worse and worse. The only people they care about is there competition kids.It used to be a different story but ever since their heads got big they don’t care about any of the kids, don’t even bother with the names. All they want is money.
delaney: I dance there it is the best! You have a many options to choose from also!
Joseph Temple: My daughter is in her second year at Tippy Toes and loves it. The instructors are great and the program in the summer is great. Highly recommended.

bryanbennett davenport: My wife started taking lessons here so she could dance with our son at his wedding. She so enjoys it that she continued taking regular lessons. So then she gets me involved too. We take instructions from both Grace and Spencer. Both great dancers and both great instructors. This is a great couples activity. Grace and Spencer both make it fun to learn something that I never thought I could or would learn to do. Cudos to both of them, as well as to Vinny and the owners! If you ever thought you might want to learn to dance, you really need to try Fred Astaire Greenwood, you will not be disappointed and you just might end up really liking dancing. Great job Grace and Spencer!
Jeremy Bednarski: Great teachers, good vibes, and a comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommend you give it a try. My teacher was Grace and she always bring a positive attitude that makes the class fun.
Brandon Reed: It is a great place! The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and treat you as though you were a part of a family. Can't find a better place to learn to dance!
Gabriel Warren: Helped me with my prom it was great
Emily Fields: Our introductory lesson was super fun! Vinny is a great instructor.
Bethany C: Really enjoying our dance lessons. Everyone at the studio is welcoming. They really make you feel part of the group. With each lesson we are becoming better and better. Matt is the best instructor ever.
Lisa Davis: Are these people for real?! It is hard to believe that the negative reviews are about the same school! My opinions and experiences are more in line with Jenny's. I am glad she pointed out the obvious, that money is exchanged for services because it is a business. The owner has been completely professional in every interaction I've had in the 3+ years I've been taking lessons. He seems to be a very busy man, but ALWAYS makes himself available to talk with me and has been very fair. Although I personally cannot afford all the programs available, I appreciate being invited to participate and being offered the option. I do not take this as pressure?? Sometimes things are very busy in the school, but I cannot imagine anyone of the staff being cross or rude. That has not been my experience at all!! The owner and the other teachers are encouraging and fun. I enjoy all of the professionals and the overall atmosphere of the school very much. I recommend this studio to everyone who has an interest in learning to ballroom dance. I love it there and I would hope all studios are as organized and professional and fun! I say great leadership and great operation!
Kristin Jones: Reading the negative reviews, was like reading my own experience for the past year. The instructors are amazing, talented, and absolutely wonderful; however the owner will say anything you want to hear when he is trying to convince you to sign up. Now, be warned, he will change everything he said in that initial meeting, he will confuse you, he will lie, and he will manipulate the situations. You will feel like that person that you had the initial meeting with is NOT the same person you are dealing with on a weekly basis. He is completely unprofessional. I have heard him numerous times discussing late payment with customers in the foyer in front of other customers. He has done it to me, when I was only a few days late. When asking him questions regarding new stipulations that he is instilling on your program, he can not answer the questions with a straight answer, he talks in circles hoping to confuse you. The program I signed up for was certainly not the same program at the end. He never told me that every time he "tests" a student-that is a lesson. There is no handbook or guideline book for you to see the program information in black and white. His rules change for the people or the circumstance at the time. My daughter absolutely adored her teacher, I am convinced he is one of the best but I could not continue to throw money at Mark like it was candy. I informed him in the very beginning my daughter was only interested in lessons-NOTHING else. That did not matter to him, he pressured and badgered my daughter constantly about additional things. Now, she is only 16 years old and frankly, does not make any financial decisions in our family. Yet, he continued the pressure on her. I could not be any unhappier with the management or the owner of the facility. He is everything (and more!) that these negative reviews state. He is fake and will convince you of whatever it is that you want to hear. When he wanted my money-he acted like my daughter was the best and most graceful dance he had ever come across, when I told him we were done with lessons, he didn't have the common decency to tell my daughter (as he walked right by her!!!) good-bye and thank her for the year we spent there. I am very anxious to show my daughter that other dance studios are not run that way. It is very sad that he preys on people and their finances.

Jill Joyce: We signed up for our first dance for our wedding & Daphne choreographed our beautiful dance. After the wedding we have decided to keep dancing because we have so much fun going. We love the community, dance parties, and our instructor. They teach all levels especially beginners, we highly recommend!
Paula Maynard: Wonderful place..great people, clean, always fun environment
Joe Gaafar: My wife and I have taken lessons from Lindsey at Fred Astaire Dance Studios for many years. She is an incredibly talented dancer and exceptional teacher. We enjoy the instruction as it is taylored to our needs and level of instruction. Every week we learn something that makes our dancing better and more enjoyable. On the occasion that Lindsey is ill, traveling or absent for whatever reason, the studio will let us choose to have a lesson with another instructor or save the lesson for another time. The owners Dan and Nicole are excellent coaches and friendly and easy to talk to about almost anything. Overall we are glad we picked Fred Astaire.
Thomas Ferrara: Excellent instruction by very talented people. They will help you reach your goals and encourage you to stretch. The whole atmosphere is friendly and warm. I went there on a whim 5 years ago and am 100% satisfied with my progress and program.
Zach Ghera: Called over 5 times and never got a person or a return call from my messages! What the heck kind of business is this? I also sent them an email as listed and it bounced back as undeliverable. I guess they don't want new customers. Would definitely not recommend bothering with this place.
S A Martin: I’ve been in love with dancing since I was a little girl, and, at FADS Carmel, I’ve been able to be a part of a world that values creativity, learning, fun, and, most importantly, becoming the best dancer you can be. I’ve been with this studio for almost three years, making a 45-minute commute (total would be 90 minutes both ways) at least once a week and sometimes as many as three, depending on the activities going on at the studio. I’ve taken lessons at other studios and from other instructors, but I’ve gotten so much more from my time at FADS Carmel. There are a number of reasons I wouldn’t go anywhere else…1. Whatever your dancing goals are, FADS has a program for you. The entire staff’s focus is helping you get the most out of your experiences while there and to reach your goals.2. I’ve never been anywhere where people love their jobs as much as they do at FADS, and, after working in an environment for years where many people are praying for early retirement, this is an unimaginably refreshing place to be. It’s more than customer service to them; they genuinely like their students and each other, and that makes for a wonderful atmosphere in which to learn.3. FADS is a dance school with high standards and a model designed to support student success. I’m a high school teacher by trade, and it fascinates me that the instructors at FADS regularly do the kinds of things that some of my colleagues struggle to do consistently, if at all, such as differentiating instruction, checking the progress of students and re-teaching if necessary, and acting as professionals. It’s is standard operating procedure for FADS to provide quality instruction, and they do so superbly. They are highly trained and are held to high expectations in maintaining and updating their skills, and they can teach as well as they dance. It is rare to find someone who is good at something who can also teach that something; however, all FADS Carmel instructors are beautiful dancers and talented teachers.4. The facility is awesome. I adore the floor, and the sound and light systems are great.5. At FADS, I have access to world-class choreography and coaching, along with group lessons and dance parties if I want to take part in them. These are all activities that are designed to help students not only have fun, but to get different kinds of dance experience and to learn more about dancing. This studio is all about learning to dance and continually tries to come up with new and engaging opportunities for its students to do so. Their creativity makes for some truly memorable experiences.6. My instructor, Jonah, is incredible. He is patient, beyond tolerant, and a truly nice person. He is also one of the most gifted dancers I’ve ever seen, and it’s a privilege to dance with him.In short, I love learning about dance, and FADS Carmel gives me that chance with a wonderful support network of staff members and fellow student dancers. If you’ve wanted to try dance lessons or are a dancer looking for a studio, I highly recommend this one. Hope to see you there!
Jennifer Friesen: We bought a groupon but want to continue taking lessons since we loved it so much. We are a couple in our 40s who had never done any dancing before and wanted to try it for our date night. Lindsay was our instructor and totally made us feel comfortable and we had so much fun even though we knew nothing coming in! We enjoyed a group class and even went to a monthly party at Fred Astair to practice what we learned. All of the staff are friendly and welcoming. They are willing to work out a plan for you if you want to continue with lessons. Highly recommend!
Tronya Hawkins: Great instructor! Stas is very friendly and very patient with me. There is a fantastic and high energy team of instructors who are always willing to show me steps. Group lessons are nice as well, as you get to meet and dance with different people. They are an all around 10!!!
sharon albert: The old adage "you pay for what you get", is very true in the world of Ballroom Dance. It is an expensive passion that I have came to love. I have taken dance lessons from several studios in town, and there is no other comparable in quality.Fred Astaire Carmel has the best instructors in the state, hands down. The studio has a competition-sized floating ballroom floor - this makes a difference when dance regularly on your feet and body. This family-run business has 2 National Pro owners that keep up to date on current techniques and styles of dance. It is the best place in town if you want to win competitions, dance great when on a floor, or choreograph a routine for your wedding or special event. This studio will work with you to achieve your dance goals!
John Rudnick: I have been coming to this Fred Astaire studio for about 20 years and have noticed nothing but professionalism and a philosophy of putting the student first. Once when I was about to sign a dance package the studio continously asked if the package was too big for my budget. He asked so much I honestly had to grab the pen out of his hand so that I could sign for the lessons. At times the pro dancers from "Dancing With The Stars" come to studio as guest instructors. I assure you that they only visit the top studios, which includes this studio. I have been a student in other dance studios. However those studios honestly can not compare to this Fred Astaire studio. At another studio that I attended in the past, I had a dance instructor tell me that I simply had no dance ability. Thanks to the high quality of this studio I actually excelled at the Ohio Star Ball competition. I assure the reader that everything in this post is true.
Allie Ellis: Talented and friendly staff that will make you feel at home!
Rocky Rut: Classes were fun but yet professional! Instructors genuinely care about their students and the progress they make. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.
Amreen Vora: I purchased a $30 groupon for two 30 minute lessons at this studio as a fun date for my husband and I. The instructor was friendly enough, however, about every 7 minutes, she would stop the lesson to try to sell us more dance classes at the studio. She spent about 7 minutes of the first 30 minute lesson trying to sell us into buying 5 (40 minute) group dance classes for a whopping $400. At the second lesson the next day, she spent another 7-8 minutes of the supposed 30 minute lesson trying to convince us to buy the $400 group dance lessons, and then ended the class 8 minutes early when we made it clear we weren't interested in such an expensive package.Owners--it doesn't make sense to lure people in with a $30 for 2 half lesson package and then try to bully us into buying a $400 group dance lesson package. That is wildly expensive and not what I was expecting. My husband and I actually enjoyed learning to dance and might have continued had you guys not tried to bully us and had the price been more reasonable. $30 a lesson is much more reasonable and something we might have invested in rather than your wildly expensive package. The lesson was enjoyable aside from the sales bullying. The instructor was nice when she wasn't spending our lesson time on sales. Next time consider doing the sales pitch at the end of the two lessons, rather than wasting our lesson time. Try genuinely investing your time in the lesson--we didn't pay for a sales pitch.
Katharine Russell: Very disappointing. We bought 2, 30 minute dance lessons. Went to the first lesson and got 10 minutes of actual instruction and 20 minutes of high pressure attempts at upselling us to packages costing $800-$1,500 dollars. We will not be using our second lesson.
Mikeya Moore: Thank u now my daughter can pursuit her dream of being a dancer
Jim Johnson: I purchased a Groupon for five (5) lessons. The dance instructor was very nice. However, dancing was not the first priority for each lesson. The experience was more akin of trying to buy a used car or signing up for a gym membership. Dancing made up only 20 minutes of the 30 minute lesson. The remaining time was around talking to you about signing up for a big dance package. At one lesson you will be told the owner, Dan, is to review your progress. Actually, this is when you get to spend 20 minutes of your 30 minute lesson getting the big sales pitch from Dan in his office. This time counts against your five (5) lessons you purchased.I understand the studio is a business that needs to make money. However, what about actually giving the customer a chance to actually learn to dance and enjoy the experience and then follow-up with them about future dance lessons. I have subsequently found many other studios that do offer that experience.
Vicki Barbera: I have been a student for 7 years now. I feel passionately about this studio and its staff for many reasons:* great instruction from past World Rhythm Pro Champions Dan Rutherford & Nicole Carroll (who happen to own and run the studio, and btw have the credentials to judge world pro championships), Jonah Schneider and Lindsey Rutherford (past finalists among the most prestigious studios in the US) and several other extremely talented and fun instructors* lovely new studio with beautiful competition-sized floating ballroom floor in accessible, pretty setting* frequent access to world-class coaching from outside pros, including DWTS pros like Tony Dovolani and Jonathan Roberts, and 5-time World Pro Latin Champions Riccardo Cocchi & Yulia Zagoruychenko, among many others* unlimited free group classes if taking regularly-scheduled private lessons* frequent free Friday night studio dance parties* family-run business, friendly atmosphere (yes, even the grandmother works here...)* best place in town whether you want to win competitions or just look like you do when you're dancing sociallyI have tried several dance studios in town, and there is no other even remotely comparable in quality. If you're going to spend the money, you might as well get the best. And my understanding talking to other folks outside the studio is that this studio is actually less expensive than some other well-known studios...Not all dancers come in with the same goals. This studio cares about what you are trying to accomplish - yes, they will ask you perhaps pointed questions to determine exactly what that is - and then they will patiently and constructively do their utmost to help you reach those goals. I am a case in point. Within my first 6 years, they took me from rank ballroom beginner to Fred Astaire National and World Champion in my age category in two different styles, Rhythm and Latin (that's 10 different competitive dances!), and even 5th in the world overall (all studios including Arthur Murray and independents) in Rhythm. And I had a blast in the process. This studio delivers excellent quality, and with heart. I couldn't possibly recommend them more highly. I would give them 10 stars if that was an option...
Arthur Liang: I've learned so much about dancing through Fred Astaire. This studio is for people from all walks of life. Whether you want to become a champion competitor, or you just want a few quick lessons for a wedding reception Fred Astaire can turn you into a great dancer. The instructors love what they do, and they always look for serious students. You can expect them to push you to do more and try more, it will all be worth it in the end. If you love having fun and expressing yourself then dancing is what you should do. It's never too late to start learning something new :)
Cosplay Against Bullying: My friends and I have become very skilled in dancing thanks in no small part to the tutelage and expertise of the Fred Astaire staff. This studio is extremely active in parties, shows, competitions and more. If you want to learn anything latin or ballroom this is the studio you want.
NicoleandJorey Luse: We bought a package of 5 private 30 min lessons to get ready for our wedding. The first visit, they told us we had to come for an hour and it counted as 2 lessons, but we only learned for half an hour and they spent the rest of the time prying for information to try to sell us more lessons. The instructor was actually very friendly and did make it fun, but the owner made us so uncomfortable with his sales pitch that it negated the small amount of fun. The next 2 lessons, we didn't learn a thing, we just practiced what we already learned the first day and didn't get any corrections or new information and again, they tried to get $1000 more from us. Only in our last lesson did we learn anything else and that was only because we insisted they teach us more. On several occasions we asked to learn more and she told us that wasn't included in the package we bought. They wouldn't even show us where to put our arms! So overall, we were taught the most basic steps of 5 dances in 5 half hour private lessons. I would never recommend this studio to anyone that doesn't have a trust fund to blow on useless lessons from a slimy business.
