Harsha S: We stopped by here for breakfast after walking over from AirBnB. The entrance was quite inviting with a staircase leading up to the cafe. The color palette was this old rustic sort of feeling. The actual cafe was very similar to a coat check area; it was an interesting concept to say the least. It was quite packed when we arrived so we had to wait in line for a few minutes before ordering. I wish there was a QR code or something to access the menu or view before we got to the front of the line. There were a few paper handouts at the front of the line so we were able to quickly glance to figure out what we wanted.We went for a croissant, Pistachio Latte, and a Butterscotch Latte. We had a little difficulty trying to find seating and didn’t feel comfortable walking up with lattes up the staircase so we found some seating to the side (benches) where we could sit. We had a chance to read up on the history of breweries in Indianapolis especially around the Prohibition Era that was quite interesting. The croissant and lattes were delicious. After finishing, we took some time to walk up the stairs where we found more seating, a bar area, and art pieces. We walked around there and observed all the different items. I definitely recommend everyone checkout Coat Check if they’re in Indy!

Meredith Blakey: I ordered an iced demerara latte when I visited for the first time a couple weekends ago and I've been craving it ever since! I had a few underwhelming coffee experiences recently, but this one was SO GOOD! There's a lot of seating available and the barista was friendly and helpful. I also ordered a brown butter chocolate chip cookie with sea salt and that was great too. I wish it hadn't taken me so long to try Coat Check and can't wait to go again soon.

Medha Kulkarni: Coat Check Cafe is a fantastic spot to grab some coffee or a bite to eat. I tried their Butterscotch Latte, Croissant, and Caprese, and was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food and drink. The latte was especially delicious, with a rich and creamy butterscotch flavor that was perfectly balanced with a hint of orange.The Caprese was also outstanding, with fresh mozzarella, pesto, and balsamic glaze all coming together to create a delicious and satisfying dish. The Croissant was flaky and buttery, with just the right amount of crunch.While I think Coat Check Cafe is definitely worth a visit, I must admit that the prices are quite steep. As a college student, I found the rates to be a bit unreasonable, and I think that this may be a deterrent for some potential customers.Additionally, I found their two-hour policy to be a bit perplexing. As a cafe, I would expect that Coat Check would be a place where people can come to study or work for extended periods of time. However, their policy seems to discourage this type of customer behavior, which I think is not very effective or customer-friendly. Overall, I still think that Coat Check Cafe is a great spot to check out, but their policies and prices may not be the best fit for everyone.
Philippe Bronchtein: This is a wonderful coffee shop in an incredibly unique space. Latte art was perfect and the barista was so kind.There was a patron doing Tarot readings on zoom with their computer volume all the way up, which to me, is unforgivable.Otherwise exceptional coffee shop. 10/10.

Unfortunitely this time around the sandwhich was put on a cheap hamburger bun instead of the usual crispy bagel, it tasted like canned tomatos were used instead of fresh like usual, and they forgot the vinaigrette that really elevates the sandwhich. I wish they would have told us they were out of most of the ingredients before we ordered, please bring this classic sandwhich back :( employees are nice though

The customer service is on par and the coffee is beyond any variety that I tried in Indiana. We tried Latte with miso, cardamom and a vegan bagel. The jalapeño paste with the impossible vegan patty and egg was a fusion taste explosion for our taste buds. We enjoyed the ambience on a very cold day and highly recommend the German history within the building.—————Oh my gosh! What did I stumble upon????Ambience - German, historic architecture. Open & spacious space, medieval era setup and beautiful details on every nook and corner of Coat Check. We were wowed by the little details.Coffee - Can I call out NIRVANA!? The speciality lattes are BOMB! butterscotch latte with the perfect hint of nuttiness and sweetness and the ginger latte with herbaceous notes of hibiscus and warmth of ginger. Let’s not forget the spice of chili de arbol! Wow just wow!Food - No I am not a coffee and food kinda person but today being a Sunday ordered Breakfast and Pesto Bialy sandwich. Noah Clayton: Their original flavors and coffee options stand out from every other coffee shop in the Indy area. From their specialty latte's and pastries to their friendly staff, MOTW is unapologetically authentic, welcoming, and refreshing compared to the over-saturated coffee options (mostly Starbucks😉). If you're looking for a top-tier coffee shop that doesn't sacrifice quality for uniqueness, I highly recommend MOTW. 10/10 The absolute best!
Jared Hubbard: Delicious, but over priced. The pastry looked and was delicious. However, $4 for a piece of baklava that is literally gone in 2 bites seems a bit steep. I would recommend increasing your serving size or decreasing your price to match. $10 for a medium Americano and a 1.5" piece baklava is unjustified.

The lady working the counter was super kind. She welcomed me and helped me navigate the menu. I ordered a decaf vanilla latte and it was very good!The ambiance is very modern and there is lots of space. I first chose to sit in a semi-private nook, but moved closer to the window. There was a speaker with somewhat loud music, that I politely asked if it could be lowered, but wasn't. So, I moved closer to the window to take my meeting. There must've been a gap in the wall. I had to put my jacket back on because it was freezing!I also asked for a bathroom during my time there, and the coffee shop itself doesn't have a bathroom. It is shared with the next door restaurant and it was not clean at all.This is a good place if you're looking to stop in for a quick cup of coffee, pastry, or a meetup with friends. Wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a place to work.

George Dante: The best art gallery coffee shoppe you're going to find in Indy. The barista made me a cortado breve that changed the fabric of reality.The grilled cheese "toasty" here is a perfect snack for study time, and yes, so is the avocado toast (at half the price of what you'd pay downtown).Tip well. Muhammad Khalifa: No-frills coffee stand in a very cool art-space/gallery setting. Espresso is done by a super-auto and they look to be serving exclusively Tinker blends, so no reason to go out of your way on account of the coffee itself (it's good but can be had similarly in many other spots in Indy) - but the art (and the chickens, if you're into those) makes it worth a stop if you're in the area!

Jennifer Bizjak: We moved to Indiana from San Diego and have been struggling to find good coffee. We stopped here on a whim and I am so happy we did! This is the BEST coffee we’ve had (I got a 12oz triple americano, black) and we’ve been to about 15 different shops. I am really regretting not buying beans, so that’ll be a must next time we go. And the customer service was fantastic!

There's two Starbucks (one in the mall and one closer to I-69) and that's about it.But this is a solid coffee kiosk/cart located within the Castleton Mall food court. Locally roasted beans, a great selection of drinks, excellent service and really reasonable prices.I don't often go out of my way to grab a coffee nowadays as it can get pricey, but I almost always stop by when I'm in the Castleton area to get a cup.

My husband got the sugar cookie white chocolate hot latte and I got the tiramisu white chocolate iced latte. Great art and love the setup and decor of it. Maybe because it was close to closing that we didn't have the best service. Our waitress was nice but the staff behind the kitchen was not professional, almost seemed as if we were not welcome. I would try it again earlier in the day but it wouldn't be my most recommended brunch spot. Id rate the food 7/10

Jonathan Bove: First, the staff is very arrogant and doesn't deserve the included tip. Blah blah blah living wage is on the business. Tipping happens based on the service. Smugness gets no tips. Secondly, I hate paying an upcharge for using a credit card. Credit card is safer than carrying cash. I work around the country, carrying cash is out of the question. I won't go out of way to find an ATM for any restaurant. Restaurants get rid of this policy. Your food isn't that good. Also, why should a customer pay for the business on how it conducts doing business? Can't handle credit cards close up and do something else. Lastly, the food is underwhelming for the premium price on top of the extra credit card fee and tip expense. If I'm going to pay premium prices for breakfast then the food must shine. For two, it was nearly 80 bucks! Laughable for a breakfast. Let me stress this putting honey on something doesn't make it premium.You put all of that together and you have a customer feeling ripped off. Mediocre food, indifferent service, and extra charges, yikes! Save your money go elsewhere. I will never eat there again. Shame on me if there would be second time. Thankfully there will never be a second time.Parking: Parking is very limited and terrible.
Derek Chambliss: After having read the previous reviews, I had higher expectations. We waited for close to an hour before being seated only to receive rather small portions at pretty steep prices. The patty melt was definitely very good and I would recommend it, but the lemon poppyseed pancake was minuscule and way overpriced. Unfortunately, the value just isn’t there for this price point.

David Mappes: The oddest brunch experience of my life. 5 or so years ago we heard this place was really great. Ended up moving out of IN, but always wanted to try it. Moved back & my wife & two friends form Chicago finally try it. Cool looking place & the food was good. However, the service was so weird. We waited 45 minutes. They try to sit us at bar stools. Fine for some, but my wife’s pregnant. We politely said could we please just wait for a table- then they seemed to hold a grudge after that. The hostess says yes but it will be 10 or 15 minutes more. She says people seem to just be sitting a long time. She also looks annoyed. Okay that’s worth it for us —but 25 minutes pass. We check in on the table. Ohh it will be 10-15 minutes. I’m like you said that 15 minutes ago. She’s like, “oh we can squeeze you in at that long table.” We accept that - happy. A table opens up a minute later they sat us there -great. My wife asks for a side of bacon, and says can we have the side basically as an appetizer. Server says ohh that’s an awesome idea of course! Our food comes out, but no bacon. We then ask about it. The lady says, “okay awesome!” 15-20 minute pass we have finished our food. Still no bacon. Someone asks if everything is good. We tell them about the bacon. They say “ohh you still haven’t gotten your bacon!” 2 minutes later she brings it to us and she says, “they swear they already served you bacon, but we will give it to you for free anyways.” Okay… kind of a weird thing to say. Then we get our check. We put our card out immediately, 10 minutes pass and no one takes the card. We walk up thinking maybe we are supposed to walk it up, they ask who our server was looking very inconvenienced. Then the server walks the card back & sets it down on the bar to the right of us and just glares our direction, but says nothing. Essentially more than 3 staff members were extremely out of it, dismissive, and borderline rude. I’m still confused if it was intentional or on accident. We all left feeling really weird about the experience. Maybe staff is new, but more so wonder if they were drunk or on something. Good food but not worth the annoyance of how the place was being ran.
Hannah Jackson: Tiny portions, outrageous prices, food and drinks did not taste good to any of us. Needless to say, our family was very disappointed and we will not return to Milktooth, nor recommend it to others. We really wanted to like this place, especially after the long wait with empty grumbly bellies. We left feeling regret and still hungry.
