I never imagined one day I will be writing a positive review on car rental places, but this truly deserves one.This is how bad Southwest messed up that I am leaving five star review to a car company - yep...Long story short, got stock in Indianapolis. I was suppose to fly home, from Miami, but the connecting flight got cancelled on me.So, I am in place with my family (including a 3 year old kid) I don't know, and it is sub zero. No worm close at all in the middle of the night.After a brief fight with Southwest workers I realized something bigger is going on, and looked like there was no way to fly out for the forceable future. This was on December 24, we did not know what about to come.!!!No trust in airline I decided drive myself and my family home for the next 16 hours.I run out of airport with my shorts on in a sub zero temperature. I saw someone a front of the Enterprise kiosk. I bagged to speed up my rental process, otherwise I will freeze to death...Honestly, less then a minute (no joke), I had the car key... Ohhhh.Made it home by Christmas. Thank you! This is a well deserved review.

I even showed my email confirmation but she said I can’t do anything about that. Robert McGurty: I am an emerald executive elite with National and Enterprise owns National, so I get the same status with them. This location has tracked my rentals there at the airport and have started letting me pick my car with them. The counter is always professional, cars are great.
William Hartman: Got here late Wednesday night due to flight delay (over an hour). No one the counter in the terminal. Was helped quickly and out of the parking lot in less than 30 minutes. Enterprise should have a policy that wiper blades are checked regain the winter (especially when a heavy rainstorm is present. Had difficulty that night due to poor quality blades and a very heavy rainstorm the night of 12/14/22.

Come to find out that’s not accurate, and I was charged for an extra day. Don’t believe a word they say.

Chaz U: Customer service is one thing and being professional and remaining professional is another thing at this location. I would not recommend this rental facility as the customer service, you're taking up too much of their time while they're eating oh the floor. Also I understand while taking a call with a customer but these people take it to a different level. unprofessionalism all the way.

The Dining Grandpa: Me and the wife have rented vehicles from this location three times now. We have experienced no problems whatsoever. Our cars were ready when they were supposed to be and were clean, gassed up and ready to go. No mechanical issues at any time. Will rent here anytime.
David Collins: Dirty car inside and out. Less than 1/4 tank when picked up, but they said it was full on receipt. There was a difference of over 2000 miles when picked up according to receipt. There was absolutely no check out procedure to insure the car was clean and damage free. It was simply here are your keys, the car is in the back. Will definitely spend my money somewhere else next time.
Adel Hamza: The staff were very professional, especially Amy. In regards to some negative comments made about the additional cleaning fee: It is very clear in the contract that if a customer's car comes back dirty after use, there will be an additional costly fee added onto the customer's total payment. This policy is applied everywhere so it is not unusual. When renting an apartment, the same type of fee (loss of deposit) is applied if it was left unclean.There is also a late fee applied when the car is returned after its assigned time and date. This is also expected since Avis provides the car at the exact time expected. Everything was clearly defined before receiving the keys of the car, so it is our (as a customer) responsibility to follow them. Again, they provided a wonderful service. Will come back again!
Jason Henderson: Had an issue with a long term vehicle lease from a franchise location. Every time I called I got thrown into the AVIS automated loop (HATE IT!!!). Simo at the Avis IAA airport managed to get the issues resolved. I appreciated his professionalism and courtesy even when this wasn’t “his problem”.

Brittany Nelson: The worst Avis to rent from. We had rented a car for two months from them and upon returned the woman suggested we vacuum it out or we’ll be charged up to 500$. The car was completely clean of no trash. The workers vacuum it out and wash it before renting to the next person, I don’t know why she would have an attitude and charge us additional cost to cleaning the car for the next person. When we first got the car we found a baby bottle and someone’s prescription under the front seat. We returned the car to the downtown location with no problem.

National Car Rental: what do users think?
jimbob jethro: Have been using National for about 10 years. Very convenient and hassle free rental process. Only gripe I have had with them is pre-pandemic, I was an "Executive" status member and missed the cutoff to keep that status the next year by one rental day. I tried to get an exception, but their rules are absolute and would not even entertain that request. But, in the grand scheme of life, that's just a petty annoyance.

Bill S: I was going on a weekend golf trip and decided to rent a car. I chose a convertible (Emerald Aisle) just for some added fun. The lighting in the parking garage was pretty dim so didn’t notice, until I got to my house to load up, just how filthy the car was. The outside looked like it hadn’t been washed in over a week and there was an actual layer of dust/dirt on the back seats and armrests. There were also several scratches and dings on the outside. Other than that, the car worked well for what I needed. Just disappointed in the visual aspect of the car.

Carlos Johnson: Indianapolis has a problem with customer service, and having cars ready and clean. The only person I can give good feedback to is the people on the exit booth. National just seems the better of the enterprise monopoly. They are great in Milwaukee, and Tucson, but suck in Indy, and Ohare. Enterprise sucks no matter what location you go too. So 3 stars for being the lesser evil.

chad markowitz: Overall good experience. Was a little disappointed that they didn’t have any German crossovers that they would rent out, even though there were a lot there. I guess they are trying to get more upgrades. I also got the vehicle I rented because it had adaptive cruise control. When I went to use this feature for my long drive, it said it was expired and I couldn’t use it. Which defeated the purpose of that vehicle. Still, the car was pretty clean and the staff was nice.

priya gupta: Be very careful making any reservations at this location. Here is the harrowing experience I had with them at this location and as well as the abysmal Enterprise customer service. Made my reservation to pick up the vehicle at 6:00 PM as I had to drive to Chicago the following morning at 5:00 AM. Got a call from the location previous day confirming that the car would be ready. Here I am at this location at 5:30 PM ready to pick up my vehicle only to be told that they dont have any available. Yeah really.. Atleast you could have informed me few hours back so I could have tried to make alternative arrangements. The rep apologized with a straight face saying he cant help me and advised me to go to shadeland ave. So I rush to Shadeland avenue only to be told that they have no vehicle available. All this is happening on Thursday evening.. its not even the weekend. Here I am writing this at 7:00 PM with no vehicle and trying to figure out how I will go to Chicago tomorrow. Called Enterprise customer service and they said airport is sold as well. These rental companies have made a mockery of the rental business. I hope the US government does something and start imposing penalties for their failures to honor contracts. Very disappointed! Good luck to other customers. Hope you never have to deal with them.

Jessie Gadbury: I landed at Indianapolis airport at 2 am and went to get my reserved car. The poor guy working there said there were no cars for m to rent and I would have to pay extra to rend the huge van instead. There were 10 people behind me who all had reswrvations as well. He was the only person working and he had to jog from where we were to the gate to open it and let us out of the garage and then jog back. I started crying because I had a 2 hour drive ahead of me for a funeral and didn't have enough money to spend extra on the van and spend a lot extra on gas. He said there was nothing he could do. I looked around the garage and saw other cars and asked if they were rentals and said yes but they hadn't been cleaned up or washed yet. I asked uh id I could please rent it anyway and wouldn't mind. He said ok and let me do that. This guy was amazing and stayed calm the entire time even with 10 people being super annoyed with the rental place. He deserves a medal. But the Alamo failed this day with keeping up with the convenience if car rental with.

I go to that location because I always and do mean Always have Great Customer Service,Fast Service,Large Fleet and they give you options vs shoving a vehicle you don't want, and Every Staff member even the one that checked vehicle in are Friendly..I recently rented a vehicle to take daughter back to College on the way off vehicle had some mechanical issues. I called Alamo was able to change out vehicle and the manager (I think Eric or Adam sorry brain fog lol) adjusted rate which was a unexpected Blessing to my family and I.Lastly want to note I love seeing the individual that worked their with disabilities one in wheelchair and other thats wasn't physical they were treated like the normal hard working citizen. Elaine: This was the most chaotic car rental experience I have had, on Jan 14. The rep at the rental counter inside was great. The folks in the lot were a mess. A young woman pointed out a car, said the keys are in it, and left. After I loaded my luggage, I found there were no keys in it. So I hiked back to the booth, she came out again, and pointed out another white compact SUV. When I got out to the gate, the attendant asked me if they told me it was an electric car. I said no, and I had not noticed. I asked some questions about charging, which she could not answer. She said "they" were supposed to give me an orientation (which had not happened). She said I would have enough of a charge to get to Fishers but not to get back. A line of cars was forming behind me at the gate. So the booth attendant called her manager to bring out a third car, which he did in a few minutes. We switched my stuff over again (except my wallet went missing at this transfer).The lost and found process does not work either. You can't speak to a real person and the online reports had not been updated for several days.So I will never rent from Alamo again. The loss of my wallet, ID, and credit cards ruined a trip that was already off to a shaky start when it took three cars to get out of the airport.(They also send automatic responses to these emails asking me to contact customer care, which I have done twice with no results)
Susan Yates: I visited Indianapolis from 1/5 - 1/9. There was only one person at the rental desk but the line moved fairly quickly. No problems with the paperwork. I rented an SUV and there were several choices. I chose a Hyundai Tucson. It was clean with minimal miles. Everything worked. I drove it for the time I was there with no problems. Turned it in on 1/9, no problems. I will rent from Alamo again.

I-Am Null: Terrible customer service experience and scummy business practices; I would not recommend this location to anyone. I used rental enterprise through my insurance. Initially, it started off bad when Jacob stated that they do not drop off rental vehicles at certain locations after you drop off your vehicle being repaired if he does not know the shop or feel comfortable (his words)— although on their website it says they will drop off the vehicle. Keep in mind, the location I dropped my vehicle off at was only a 5 minute drive from their location and reputable auto body shop with 100s of reviews online. I had to call corporate and complain, then an arrangement was made to where I could be picked up. Once I’m at the enterprise location, I’m told about the insurance options that I can select. Jacob did not explain to me that the coverages he was showing me was additional/optional and that I was already insured through my insurance— so I ended up spending an extra $600 when I didn’t need to. Very scummy and disappointing customer service.

Most recently, they found a very valuable lost item of my wife's under the seat and returned it safely. They're life savers!

Christopher Faires: Avoid this location. They did not act in my best interest. I came in with a rental that had an issue and asked for them to switch vehicles. They told me they would put me in a Corolla, which I agreed to. At the last minute they decided to put me into an Altima instead. As I drove away, I immediately notice the strong smell of smoke in the car. I decided to try to just put up with it, but after 10 minutes I decided it was too much. By then I ended up going to a different location to get switched into a third car. It is clear now that this location just wanted to get the smoked-in vehicle off their lot and make it someone else's problem. I'll stay away from this location from now on.

The location on Lafayette road is where I work and we value our customers. I can't speak for the other locations but this place I can because I make sure their car is clean and serviced and ready for the open road. There are other people who clean them as well so if your not happy just let them know and they will make it right for you. I've never turned down a job that pays more then the job I have but I have turned down several jobs because I love the respect and their appreciation they give and showme for doing my job. So you know it says alot when you turn down other job offers to stay at a company you like and enjoy. Their always there to talk too whenever you need to and ALWAYS has my back in any situation that occurs. Branch 01 Rocks.

Stacia Carpenter: We rented a car in Michigan and dropped it off near family at this location. We were in possession of the car for about 3 hours and later found out we were charged for 3 days. We dropped it off Friday evening and were charged until Monday because they are closed over the weekend. This was never explained to us on the website, nor from the employees when we picked up the car. When we called to ask about the extra charge, we received NO help. Careful folks, this company's lack of communication and costumer service could cost you hundreds.

They are a franchise store, therefore, enterprise is seemingly helpless when they place indefinite holds on your card with pathetic and insincere replies to rush you away. They will place hidden charges and hold them on your account for days at a time with not explanation. Never in my life have I experience not just poor customer service but outright theft like this before. My stolen $200 was taken a week ago and still hasn’t been resolved. I’ll be contacting the federal trade commission next.

I showed up at the new time. The lady in front of me was told that no cars were available. She had a reservation. After 30 minutes of bs stories from the rep, I cancelled and walked out. Had to take a leased car, at .12 per mile, on a 1000+ mile trip. Such poor service. I made the reservation way in advance because I knew they would be busy. The rep told me 3 different bs stories in 2.5 hours. I gave customer service the chance to make it up, and they ignored the issue. Wish I could give 0 stars.

Brandon Butz: Rented a car and currently still using for a few more days. We have a 2021 Nissan Versa and it is very small and uncomfortable for long drives, great fuel mileage and radio features. They washed the car right before I got it, there were soap suds everywhere and when the car dried, it was very dirty. The windows had smudges and rentals cars I've gotten in the past from other dealers were like brand new. Seats have a few stains. Price through Priceline was better than others. Staff at desk were great.
