Rockler Woodworking and Hardware - Indianapolis: what do users think?
The Veteran Farmer: Really enjoy going here. Staff helps me with my beginner questions. A huge selection of tools and accessories. It is super pricey though but that's my only complaint.
Daniel Jackson: The best professional and helpful staff to worked with. If you need wood working supplies then this is the place to go. Everyone is helpful and knowledgeable.
roberta heinzmann: My husband's fav place
Wayne White: Excellent service and instruction. These guys know their stuff!!
Garrett Henry: Disappointed. I like small buisnesses for their personal touch and customer service. While in this store with only 3 other customers I wasn't even acknowledged let alone asked to help find anything. Even after standing at the counter with items in hand to purchase and no one ahead of me for over 7 minutes... The blonde "assistant" lady was too busy flirting and feeling on the gym rat that came in and it takes 3 other associates to help 1 older customer find screws. Had to leave my items at the counter and walk out empty handed. I guess I won't be buying my stop saw here or trying any classes. Maybe I wasn't "old enough" to be worth greeting or serving in this hobby store like everyone else.
Joshua Galloway: They have all kinds of woods and jigs and tools and all kinds of stuff. Also very good customer service!Another great plus is they have awesome classes with knowledgeable instructors, they were lots of fun!
Brent Winter II: The folks at Rockler are always so happy to help. They go above and beyond to make you feel at home, get you what you need or just chat about what you are working on.
Aaron Kohn: I've never had a bad experience at Rockler. Staff is super helpful, selection is pretty good and I always seem to find what I need.
Steve Bates: In the store today to buy a simple lock for a cabinet. This was a small and simple purchase but the staff never made it seem that way while helping me locate what I needed. Awesome place
Rick Conniff: Employees were very knowledgeable and helpful. They genuinely wanted to do what was in my best interest
Joe Eaton: Love this store. The staff is always very friendly, helpfuland knowledgeable of the products, classes and demos. I go to pick up exotic and domestic wood pieces for small creative designs and knife handles, but I always leave with more than I came in for.
Allan: Great customer service, was greeted within moments of walking in. Prices are a bit higher than big box (avg 10-15% id estimate) but if your stuck the expertise of the store staff totally make up for the difference. Chris and waa very pleasent. Nothing like big box, if they could manage this level of service with a 5% lower price they would get five stars. All that said i dont think you will find better staff if your having a problem. These people definitely breath saw dust if you know what I mean :)
Mark Kelly: The team was very helpful in finding what exactly I was needing. I was appreciative of the service provided.
Jacob Denecke: Awesome learning experience at their mortar and pestle class!
Bob Nattermann: Great place for beginner or advanced woodworker. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable.
Shane Johnson: Great option for woodworking items.
Greg Wilson: Great store with a very helpful and friendly staff. I love shopping here.
John Antill: Customer service was great. Shop had a lot of items and then there is the online presence to order what they don't have. Plus they have a military discount
Chris Means: Great selection. Overpriced. They look out for themselves before the consumer when it comes to returns. If you use debit of cash and need to return items, THEY ONLY REFUND UP TO $50!!!! Then mail you a friggin check. By far the worst return policy I have ever heard of or experienced.I am a contractor who needed to buy items for a job. Now I have to spend my own money cause I have to wait on a $155 check. Again, to the worst and most selfious return policy ever.
Edward Siedlecki: Its a good and friendly place but the made in China products are way over priced
Doug Barcalow: I had a great experience with the folks at Rockler Indianapolis. I was shopping for a major upgrade to my shop and they not only had what I needed but were able to help me find a better alternative, at a comparable price. When all the components arrived at the store (ahead of schedule) they notified me, had it waiting when I arrived, and helped me load my truck. Even driving from Fort Wayne (2 hour drive) it was worth the trip. Rockler is one stop I plan to make any time I’m in the Indy area.

Marc Adam's School of Woodworking & Time Honored Crafts: what do users think?
Donna Hill: What a wonderful school! Marc and his wife Susie have created a place that welcomes everyone to come and learn and share their passion for a variety of skills & crafts.I’ve been taking classes here since 2005 learning to make everything from a sculpted rocking chair to a hand hammered copper lantern. All from instructors who are true Masters in their field.Last week I learned to engrave metal from one of the true Master Engravers of our time, Mike Dubber.
John Evans: This is a great school. I have taken 6 classes and everyone has been worth the cost. The instructors are the best in the business. They challenge you and take time with you. The equipment at the school is second to none. And the food is wonderful!
w bradburn: Staffed by dedicated, skilled and friendly people across the board, this is truly a university of making. The instructors include an international list of accomplished, knowledgeable, expert craftspersons, artisans and artists. The list of subject areas offered includes: food (chocolate making...from scratch); carving; calligraphy; painting; cabinetry; glassblowing; metal working; engraving; turning; design; finishing; veneering; stereotomy; and of course woodworking. This is just a short list of the general categories covered in the more than 200 workshops that happen during a typical 'school' year.In addition to the skills you will learn, there are the friends you will make among the other students, the staff and the instructors; and the top-notch lunches that are included. Did I mention the ice cream machine?Want to go deep into learning here? There are the Masters Program, and Fellowships in Design and Turning.I only wish I had discovered this haven years before I did.
John OBrien: Been there a dozen times or so. Clearly the best school in North America. Everything about your experience at this school is great. If your looking to get away for a week or 2 and would like to enhance your skillset, I recommend going to Marc Adams
John Snow: MASW is AMAZING!Just returned home from attending a carving class (see picture of carving project), design class, and jigs for handtools work shop at MASW. All of the classes were excellent and I learned some valuable skills that will definitely make me a better woodworker. MASW is an amazing place and after attending classes for the past few years it seems to just get better every year I attend. MASW is such an amazing place that has such a positive atmosphere that feeds your soul, encourages learning and discovery, and just makes you feel welcome. The staff is truly awesome makes you feel like family and does everything and anything possible to make sure you have a great experience. Whether it be a funny story, serving a great meal, or offering a helpful hint on whatever project you are working on they are always there and ready. I always learn so much more about this craft from my experiences at MASW. I will say that whether you are an experienced craftsman or beginner or somewhere in between you should consider attending MASW. They have so many different and diverse classes that there seems to be something for everyone. I feel if you don’t attend then you are missing out on a very special experience.
Bill Pier: MASW is one of the few places I have spent a week and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The facility is top notch and the staff are some of the best people I have ever met. They are very knowledgeable and helpful and the instructors that come in are just as good. If you are looking to increase your skills or learn new ones you would satisfied with your time spent at MASW.
Kris Ingmanson: I have been attending week long and weekend classes at MASW since 2007. It is a terrific school with top notch instructors from around the world. Recently they extended the course offerings away from woodworking only, to include things like welding, forging, glass blowing, stained glass and even chocolate making. They serve lunch everyday in an on premise cafeteria with coffee, soda, snacks and soft serve ice cream available all day. Highly recommended.
Greg Znajda: This school has changed my life. I learned that I was creative and talented. The finest craftsmen in the world teach here and hold nothing back. The facilities are well appointed, clean and efficiently managed. I have learned valuable techniques every day I attend. Marc and the staff are amazing, friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. I will attend classes here forever!!
Allen Last: Have been to several classes at MASW. Honestly it’s one of the highlights of my year. I live near Green Bay, WI and when you walk out of the tunnel and into Lambeau Field you get this sense of awe and wonde. There is a rich history of achievement and taking their craft seriously. Entering MASW gives me a similar feeling. I have loved every instructor. The classes are small so you get personalized attention and develop relationships with the instructors and the assistants. The staff is friendly and supportive. The tools available are top notch. Marc himself is a great guy with a big heart for people and the craft. I have learned a ton and have brought friends because it’s such a great experience. My woodworking advanced at a very slow pace through trial and error until I attended my first class and from that point on my work has gotten better in leaps and bounds. I really can’t recommend this highly enough. Just a great experience with great people doing great things!
Amy Gless: Highly recommend this school for all skill levels. The staff and instructors are exceptional and highly skilled. The facility is world class. The atmosphere is welcoming, inclusive and supportive. The learning opportunities are vast and diverse. The food and amenities are wonderful and generous. My husband and I have been a students at the school for many years and are grateful for all we've learned and the friends we've made. The school has contributed much to our success running a custom furniture shop and continuously offers fresh curriculum that helps us advance our skills. It's truly a special place.
dr dirt kansas: Have gone to MASW since 2005. It is an amazing experience, with a variety of instructors every year from around the globe who are the best in their fields. It is marvelously equipped with a Chef that prepares fantastic lunches daily. You will not be disappointed with the experience - there are also many "Parent/child" workshops.
Kevin Lafave: I have never been to a place like Marc Adam’s. It is like a home away from home. The staff and facilities are top notch, always wanting to do everything to make your experience fun and a great learning experience. The instructors are well researched and selected for the students benefit. Also, they have soft serve ice cream, what more could you ask?
cherrytreewoodworks. com: No matter whether you're new to woodworking or an experienced professional, you will feel welcome and comfortable from the first day. The staff and instructors are friendly and willing to help and give expert advice.
Lou Ann Koebel: A wonderful and engaging learning environment. Great staff and the facilities are top notch.
Marshall Snyder: MASW, located in Franklin, Indiana (south of Indy)m is an excellent woodworking school for those starting out, through the hobbyists expanding their skill set, to professionals wanting to hone their skills in a particular area. The staff is friendly, outstanding, and highly talented in their own right. Couple that with world class artisans and technicians as instructors, who are well known throughout the various industries represented, and MASW redefines immersion learning. Add in the friendships developed and knowledge sharing between students, and it will become an annual pilgrimage to one of the woodworking mecca’s in the US.
Ruth Rahman: I loved attending MASW! I have only taken one class but my my parents and sisters have taken many classes. I have seen my dad's work working skills improve every year as he keeps going back for more. I took their glass blowing class. I have a new appreciation for glass blowing. I wish I had more time to play with this new skill. Also the community that exists at MASW is unique. Food is good too.
Larry Ciesla: It doesn't matter if you're a rank beginner or a seasoned craftsman, you'll find something wonderful to learn at Marc Adam's. Surely, one of the best equipped and largest woodworking schools in the world. No matter how many tools you own or how big your shop, you'll find yourself wandering through the school with dreamy eyes taking in the amazing collection of the finest woodworking tools available. I've attended many classes, each taught by some of the finest instructors in the country, and in many cases, the world. Invest in yourself. Take a class. You won't be sorry.
Kyle Grider: I have taken several classes at the Marc Adams School of Woodworking, and I have never been disappointed! They bring in experts from around the country to teach many different skills and methods, but Marc Adams himself is a woodworking rock star too! I’ve enjoyed all of my classes so much that I have decided to get my Masters in Woodworking here.If you are at all interested in woodworking, from beginner to expert, this is the place to go! But the cherry on top is that they offer other folk arts as well, so you can really expand your artistic toolbox.
jerald Will: Jerald WillI still hope to join Marc one more time before I am completely unable. They have so many new courses in which I would like to participate. I highly recommend any new as well as seasoned aspiring wood workers to look at the offerings and find a course to attend that will expand your horizons. The weeks I spent there certainly expanded mine.
Brian Ross: I have 40 plus years as a professional woodworker. Its impossible to go to MASW without learning a new technique or gain invaluable information from Marc and the amazing Instructors. Been learning from Marc and crew for over 25 years and see no reason to stop.
Jim Hare: I began taking classes at this school in 2014 and have taken at least one week long course every year since. If you want to learn woodworking skills and techniques from the very best craftsmen in their field, this is the place to go. This is learning at its best and quickly enables the woodworker to take their skills to the next level regardless of their current level of mastery of the craft.

Woodcraft of Indianapolis: what do users think?
Greg Dirks: Ok
Stan Wright: Awesome!
Arlene Bragg: When we stopped in to find out the status of a gift card, ( ordered December,6) both cashiers said that they couldn't help us . After Insisting they look it up, at least. One implied I didn't know the difference between a physical card and an on- line one. After we left, I looked it up and saw the number was entered incorrectly. When we got back to Michigan it had arrived, but too late for the recipient.
Sally Whalen: Always so helpful and informative. A carpenter's dream store.
Angus Lock: Really enjoyable wood turning class with Bob Anderson. Thoroughly recommended.
John H.: Nice store, fully stocked and knowledgeable staff. I go a couple times a year since a long drive. We need a Woodcraft on the south side of Indy.
Matthew Upchurch: Great place for all the woodworking machines, jigs, lumber, and accessories you might need. If they don't have it, they'll special order it for you in a jiffy! Staff is friendly, and they have Festool and Sawstop; so they obviously know what they're doing...
Bee-u-tiful Adventures: I love this store!! I consider myself an amateur woodworker with an intermediate skillset. Not once have I not been greeted at the door by one of the friendly and knowledgeable staff here. They are great! My only issue with the store is the fact that it's over an hour away from my home. But then again, maybe that's a good thing? Haha
Sue Ferrell: They knew just what we needed for our grandson's wood burning project. They are wonderful.
David Ray: Fast excellent service. Good products and knowledgeable staff
Aulbrey Jones: Great place. Helpful and friendly staff
Leyder Ness: Great customer service and excellent advice!!!👍
Kurt Schilling: Have you ever walked into a store and been greeted by a shop clerk who says "Welcome to the Toy Store"? This is how this old sawdust maker was welcomed to Woodcraft on a Friday morning. I looked around and replied "You mean it isn't the candy shop?". I'd gone there to ask about tweaking my old and trusty Delta Contractors Saw. Looking around I came close to saying "I'll take one of everything". Great personal service was given by the gent who greeted me. Got my questions answered, and picked up a new, segmented drive belt for the saw. Wish I could have taken the time to wander down all the aisles, but my time and pocket book were limited. I'll be returning many times in the future. If you have questions or need new "toys" for your woodshop and want to get 'em quick this place is for you.
Gary Hensley: Haven't been there in a couple years. They have a MUCH better selection and a lot of new stuff. I would recommend it to anyone.
Jeffery Hunter: Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Tom May: This is a very good wood working facility and store. There is no better.
Shoaib Rasouli: I'm not a frequent customer, but I will be going forward! I purchased a Jet dust collector that was in stock recently and much to my dismay, the unit I received was defective. Woodcraft did not hesitate to take provide a replacement for my dust collector and the store got a laugh out of the video I sent them of my unboxing. Glad to have worked with a staff with a great sense of humor!
Scott Phillips: Wonderful service, Friendly, Amazing selection of tools, Love it here!!!
Tom Hirata: Friendly helpful staff. Great selection of products. Each month they offer a 40% discount on certain species of wood. I purchased some Lati(sometimes referred to as white Wenge. It is a beautiful shade of golden yellow with a beautiful grain pattern). Whether you are a wood turner, furniture hobbyist, of beginner, this store is worth visiting.
Pat Korando: Only my 2nd visit but the employees seem very knowledgeable and super friendly
Bethaney Call: Wonderful choices of exotic woods!! And a great tool selection .
