Furniture Medic By Westphal: what do users think?
Gavin England: Amazing Service! I purchased an office chair from Pottery Barn (worst mistake of my life). The reclining mechanism on the chair broke after 13 months (just out of warranty) thus Pottery Barn would lot replace the chair and could not provide even the name of a supplier to replace said broken part. I called Justin at Furniture Medic and he was able to source and install a better replacement mechanism. After bringing the chair home i realized the old mechanism was 3 inches higher than the new mechanism. I called Justin who was able to change the piston and raise the chair to a better height. The chair is now BETTER than the one I originally purchased! And he saved me at least $1000. Thank you Justin! AMAZING SERVICE!!
Jenny Mikac: Furniture Medic came out to fix our couch after the frame busted. We had a lot of trouble getting someone to show up and we contacted several places, all no shows. Furniture Medic, however, showed up promptly at the appointed time, and they got right to work. They were extremely friendly, and our couch looks amazing. We were really worried we'd have to replace it, and I'm happy it didn't come to that. We'll definitely use these folks again in the future!
Lisa Hirschhorn: Mike and Kathy were nice, professional and did their job well. Mike repaired 3 nicks on 3 pieces of wood furniture and they look like new. Kathy fixed some cracks and nicks on our leather couch that our movers caused. She also did a wonderful job. Plus, they were very professional and friendly. Would definitely recommend them to anyone and would not hesitate to call them again should the need arise.
Kimberly Thompson: I had my ottoman repaired from here and Justen did a fantastic job and its fix like its brand new. The quality of their work is spectacular. The price was very reasonable and he is very honest upfront about the pricing and being able to fix it. I will definitely be using them again and referring them to other individuals.
Grace Winn: We called Furniture Medic after causing a nickel-sized acetone stain to our kitchen table. Our kitchen table is a VERY hard to match antique gold, and going into the appraisal, Furniture Medic was very cautious about getting our hopes up. Justen, the General Manager, came out with Kathy and affirmed that he likely couldn't get it looking perfect, but he would try to see what he could do. Justen and Kathy spent approximately 40 minutes at our house trying to match the finish. While the spot in question doesn't look perfect, it is a GREAT improvement from where we started, and from certain angles you cannot tell there was damage.Justen didn't even charge us for the touch up since he said the work wasn't up to his normal standard. I would definitely trust them to do a thorough job!
melissa segal: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueJusten did a beautiful job restoring our antique settee. He did a meticulous job staining the wood and the new upholstery looks fabulous!
Julie Kennedy: I purchased a very beautiful and pricey end table made from the roots of a teak tree. I was disappointed when it arrived with damage to the top. After repair you cannot even tell there was ever damage, and there is much wood grain visible. I'm not even sure how they did it. Reasonably priced.
John Schrier: He makes appointments with you then cancels with a uncertain new appointment Then becomes rude Sorry pal there's more than one wood restoration place in the world
Tina: I called Furniture Medic and they were out within a week to give us an estimate. Prices were very fair and quality of their work unparalleled. Furniture items they refinished ranged from a garage sale find table to a 70 year old chair my parents had received for a wedding present! Very professional. Would go with this company again in a heartbeat!
Stacey Noss: This was the best money ever spent. We had unexpected damage to a crucial piece of furniture right before a big event They took care of it the next day, on-site, reasonably and you cant even tell it ever happened. They happened to have a cancellation in their schedule, so lucked out there, but very accommodating. Soooo appreciative. What more could I ask for, Thanks Again!!!
S G: Justin at Furniture Medic-Indianapolis did an INCREDIBLE job of cleaning/deodorizing/restoration of our SOOT-COVERED, SMOKE-FILLED, HEAT DAMAGED furniture including 2 antique twin-bed bedroom suites, large heirloom table, dining room hutch, side table, antique rocking chair and bench, and heirloom couch after house fire. We had been sure that each item was protected and very well cared for before the fire and we were heartbroken to see what the soot and heat had done to these sentimental items that hadn't burned but still appeared ruined.Justin could not have been more accommodating, knowledgeable, patient, nice, understanding and thorough! He took us into the warehouse attached to their office to see our furniture and discuss what could/should be done with each item that they had picked up after the fire. He was upfront about expectations and offered his honest opinion on each piece re: what was worth trying to restore. We chose to have him attempt to restore all the items and ALL OF THEM EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS! There was no odor left in any of the wood and some looked even BETTER than before the fire! (And the upholstery specialist he contracted our couch out to after the wood portions were restored was VERY TALENTED! We provided the material we found that was identical to what had been on the cushions and flat back, and our antique couch was completely restored to its previous beauty!). Justin and his team carefully delivered all the pieces to our house on our schedule in 2 batches as they were completed. This company was recommended to us by a fire-damage specialist and by a neighbor who had used them after their fire. Justin's work and knowledge is outstanding and we are SO THANKFUL to him and Furniture Medic!
Lynne Keeney: My daughters childhood rocking chair was falling apart. I thought she would throw it away, but she said no, it was also her Son's rocking chair, so I called Furniture Medic. They made it look better than new, and I am thrilled. Now it will be passed on to future family members. Some pieces of furniture need to be saved. Thanks to Justen of Furniture Medic. I'm a happy customer!!

On-Site Woodwright, LLC: what do users think?
David Smith: Greg has done many piano finish repairs for me and I've always been so impressed with his ability to make damaged pianos look brand new again. From small touch ups to larger structural damage repairs, Greg has always come through for me with wonderful craftsmanship. Highly recommend. Thanks Greg!
dana Bonwell Raco: We were able to have Greg redo a beautiful old smoking chair for us in Indianapolis and a friend brought it back to us in Fort Myers, Florida. It turned out beautiful! Now we went through Hurricane Ian and he will be able to restore it again for us!! He does great work!!
Kate Van D: I would highly recommend them, we sent pictures, set up an appointment and they came to our home to fix our chair, better than new and for a great price.
Mounikka C.: Probably by far the worst experience I’ve ever had when needing work done on various pieces. Not only did I contact them MONTHS before I received a response, it took a VERY long time to not only get picked up but also for the work to be completed. I emailed several times asking for an update since they required a deposit on the quoted work, and never heard back until an associate contacted me and said he was to deliver the items but wasn’t pleased with the work even though his boss told him to go ahead and send it knowing it wasn’t acceptable. Not only do I find the initial impression problematic I find the lack of response once collecting a monetary deposit completely untrustworthy. If you’re expecting integrity, fair pricing, and responsive owners who have already taken a portion of your money this is not the company to use.
Austin Burris: have previously worked with them twice and had no complaints. I loved my service & they did a great job.
Dave Philpott: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueI've had a terrific experience with Onsite Woodwright. From the initial free estimate for my furniture repair, to the the reasonable estimate (took two days after I sent in my photos), and the finished work and follow up. This is a 5-star company to deal with.
Deona Givens: Critical:Professionalism,ResponsivenessI have contacted this company so many times I’ve sent emails done forms online and still no one ever contacted me back
M. P. S.: These people were recommended by my piano technician.I emailed and was told their policy was to either: have the customer take photos and there would be no charge for an estimate; or they would come out, take the pictures and charge $65.The work I wanted done on the piano wasn't easily photographed (I'm a professional level photographer), neither was the damage on a couple of other pieces that I thought they might be able to remedy, so I opted for them to come out.By "them," I expected the owners to come. We set a time and day and instead of either Greg or Niki two guys showed up.First of all they did not understand what I wanted to have done on the fallboard of my piano and they tried to tell me it could be done on-site. I've had this particular touch-up done on other occasions and it is better done "in the shop." The other touch-ups I hoped to get remedied were subtle and I'd be surprised if the photos of these areas were helpful or illustrative to the stay-in-the-shop owners. An antique music box which had been "refinished" several years ago by another unqualified "restorer" will require disassembly, deep stripping and finishing with lacquer. The two guys, took pictures which hardly are illustrative of the scope of this job.An old coffee table needs repairs on a corner chewed by a puppy and three leather inserts on the top replaced. They paid a bit more attention to the molding on the corner than the fallboard on the piano and the other items they'd looked at, and the photo guy assured me that HE could replace the leather inserts.A hand made drop leaf table now more than 100 years old needs the top ONLY refinished. It was difficult to convince the two guys that that was ALL I wanted done. They didn't think it needed refinishing when they first looked at it, but changed their mind when an overhead light was turned on.The final bit of restoration was a corner of a bed's footboard, also chewed by a puppy. I had tried to fix it with wood putty, but soon decided stick shellac would be a better solution. They said THEY, not the owners, could fix that right there, right then, on site with the same wood putty I'd used. When all the inspections were done, I felt like they didn't have a clue about refinishing (mostly) fine original woodwork (the piano, music box, and coffee table). But I decided to see what the estimate would be for each piece.Outside as they were getting ready to leave, they told me they could also do the work for me and I understood them to imply that they were hired as contractors by On-Site Woodwright but had their own business as well. That left a VERY sour taste. It was a kind of "up-selling" siding salespersons use.My assumption was that I would get an estimate and if I decided to have the work done by On-Site, the $65 fee would be applied to the final project. If I decided NOT to have the work done by On-Site, they I'd pay the the $65.Those were a couple of bad assumptions on my part. After a couple of weeks, I hadn't heard anything from them, so I assumed they didn't want the business and I went about mine. Then Niki called wanting to make arrangements for payment of the $65. I was confused and put aside returning the call while I took care of other business. Then Niki called again. She was not rude, but she sure wasn't pleasant. I offered my displeasure with the process and sent them a check.I figure I should get an estimate, since that's what I paid for, but I told them not to bother.I have experience as a project editor at a national woodworking magazine and recognize a less than stellar vendor when they show up.Caveat Emptor.
Teresa Smith: Greg was very helpful and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond in repairing our reclining couch after a piece broke that was secured the motor. He came to our home (house call) to complete the repair.I would use them for any repairs. I would also not hesitate to refer them.
Nate Dunlevy: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ResponsivenessGreat job. Repaired our recliner quickly!
Mimi Burch: Greg has completed two big projects for me. In 2016, I had antique table legs water damaged in a flood after my sump pumps backed up. Greg restored the legs to near perfect condition. I was amazed! In 2020, a desk given to me by my late father was shattered while in transport to my home. Greg rebuilt and refinished the desk to an almost new level. I could not have asked for better craftsmanship. I am very pleased with the end result with both projects. He is incredibly talented and very professional. I highly recommend Onsite Woodwright for your woodworking needs.
Melissa May: I have an antique breakfront with mirrors that my mother gave me. It had been moved several times and hadn’t really been treated properly. Greg put it back together and now it is back to the gorgeous piece of furniture it was when my mom first found it. This company gets all my woodwork from now on.
Kathy Mathena: Greg did a beautiful job refinishing a midcentury walnut desk for us. The desk looks gorgeous and he was really helpful in working with us about timing-picking it up at our old house and delivering to our new one. Thank you so much!
greg sanford: I needed to hire a repair vendor out of my area, sure am glad that On-Site responded quickly. Thank you for taking great care of our customer.
Denise Benson: They were wonderful. Fast, courteous, NICE people who really knew what they were doing! My recliner works GREAT!Denise
Nicole Wright: On Site took their time on our piece which was greatly appreciated as it was an heirloom, and it turned out beautifully. They are a top notch company that was responsive, affordable and honest. Highly recommended.
Rick Mckeldin: They did an amazing job of allowing us to get our new sofa downstairs by disassembling it. Very good work, no visible signs of the work performed and it saved us because we couldn't return the sofa!! Highly Recommend!!
David Lowe: Very helpful
Emily Lemke: Greg did an amazing job of sprucing up and reupholstering my 8 dining room chairs. One of the chairs had a broken leg that had splintered in two. It looks like new, and is super sturdy. I'll definitely be using his services again in the future.
Beth Pfister: I am thrilled with the work! Grateful to be able to use 2 pieces of furniture that I feared I would have to get rid of. Restored perfectly!
aaron ohler: If you're looking for professional work on your furniture on-site woodwright is the company for you! He does the work in home so I don't have to figure out how to get my broken chair to a shop!

Fine Touch Finishing LLC: what do users think?
Veronica Reyes: Ethan Allen sent a headboard to get fixed to this place and it came back as though a child had installed them. Not sure why they call themselves fine touch. Their quality control must not be there if they send out projects looking like a child worked on them. Place should be out of business
Rik Mikac: No show three times in a row, big waste of time.
Ty Stroub: Michael went above and beyond what I expected and was much more affordable than any other options that I could find. I will definitely be using them again and I highly recommend for top quality furniture repairs.
George Dossett: Did a super nice repair job on a furniture leg for us. Cannot see the repair at all.
D Singson: Michael was courteous and professional. Did a great job with what was going on the corner of the couch. I would recommend this business. And at the very least, you can get a quote from them and they'll be clear with you.
lovejeet Virk: Michael did a great job on my dining table, I called three different companies before him and they all quoted a outrageous price or simply refused to work on this table but Fine Touch gave me a very reasonable price and did a very good job. He spent 3 hrs filling, sanding, and painting to make my table as good as it was before.
Kathryn LaJoie: Michael did a great job repairing my dining chairs. His attention to detail really makes a difference. Reasonable prices. Nice guy. Would absolutely recommend Fine Touch Finishing!
B Eads: Highly recommend to anyone with furniture in need of repair! The attention to detail is exceptional and the quality of work is unmatched! Price quote was also great!
Pamela Fay: Excellent work! Very nice people to work with and had my table back in a week. Highly recommendable!!!! Thank you Michael!!!
Adrienne Whaley: Michael fixed a broken chair leg for us. We didnt even know if it could be fixed. Not only did he fix it for us but you cant even tell that it was ever broken. He did amazing work at a great price! Will definitely be going back to him for all of our repair needs.
DRW: Michael put me in a better mood with his amazing couch repair. My roommate broke 2 parts of my sectional by plopping down like a 5 year old.Michael gave me some good advice about furniture, and when he starts making his own I'll buy from him. :) Thanks again
Chris Hall: Michael is very professional and friendly. Michael repaired a broken back support on my sectonal sofa. He arrived in the time slot that was scheduled, and called 30 mins prior to arriving. Michael repaired my sofa to better than new condition. I 100% recommend his services, and will refer Fine Touch Finishing LLC to all my friends and family, as well as continue to use his services at my home as well! There are a LOT of furniture repair companies that are price gouging. Michael quoted a great price! Thanks Michael, you did a great job!
Gregory White: Very professional and Quality work.Appointment setting was handled well and tech arrived on time! Would definitely use again.

Dave Philpott: My experience is that this is a great company to work with! Will definitely use again!
Jacob Oneill: Greg and Nicole performed excellent work on two separate jobs. Job #1 was refinishing a wood table and 4 chairs that my wife's parents in initially purchased about 50 years ago. It had an old finish and was scuffed up quite a bit, now it looks brand new. They even corrected the tone of the finish since it looked different on our pine wood than the color samples showed on oak wood!Job # 2 was to re-upholster 8 dining room chairs including 2 arm chairs. Again excellent work!Greg and Nicole were easy to work with, including picking up and delivering the furniture pieces. Their prices are very reasonable, especially considering the high quality of work.
