Rena Das: Jean and her team are amazing at what they do. We had an Indian and American fusion wedding. She took the ideas I had and turned it in to a fairytale wedding. Of course with every wedding, there is going to be issues. Our photographer got covid 2 days before the wedding and she took care of the issue so we did not stress. She had all the contacts for vendors, she booked everything, sent out invitations, got permits for the baraat, arranged details with photographers, and basically created a beautiful wedding that not only my husband and I will never forget, but neither will the guests forget. And she knew more about Indian weddings than I did! She is so professional but also she became my friend in the end. I’m so grateful for Jean and her team!

I started planning my wedding by myself for an out of state venue that didn’t have many included amenities. When it came to putting it all together, I felt lost. This is where Jean came in and saved the day (literally)! We hired her 3 months out for her coordinating services and wish we would have hired her from the beginning! She is beyond professional, knowledgeable, and resourceful. She coordinated with our vendors before our wedding, sorted out finishing details with me, ran our rehearsal, set up the day of the event, and handled every detail of the wedding. Because of Blue Llama Events, me, my husband, friends, and family were able to enjoy the wedding day knowing everything was taken care of.

We had already been planning for a year, but Jean quickly took the initiative in rescheduling with all vendors. We ended up rescheduling twice due to the pandemic and finally had our amazing reception on Feb 19, 2022 Through all the cancellations, vendor changes, and small detail changes, Jean was there to make sure everything went smoothly. Planning and replanning this for 3 years would not have been possible without her. The reception was magical and everything I wanted. I cannot recommend her services enough!

Sophie Cooney: Where to begin.. Jean and her team are one of a kind. We hired Jean right from the beginning and were always in contact with her for the 1.5 yrs of planning! She was the point of contact for our venders, set up meetings with them, and handled EVERYTHING the day of the wedding. I didn’t have to worry about anything but enjoying my wedding day, which is something not a lot of people get to do. Her team helped set up the decorations, take them down, and pack them into my families car. We had our dogs in our wedding and her team even brought treats to help distract them when needed. I hired Blue Llama to set up / tear down decorations on my wedding day (think: centerpieces, memorial table, etc.) and also used some of their decorations including table numbers, a cake stand, and floating candles for my centerpieces. Jean put all of my centerpieces together beautifully, and even cut flowers and eucalyptus for the bud vases! It saved me so much money as I didn't need to hire a florist, but more than that it saved me from so much stress! Worth every penny.

PIVOT, PIVOT, PIVOT is the wedding planning phase of the year, and Emily has not missed a beat. We originally hired Emily as a month-of coordinator for our 250 person wedding in Indianapolis in June 2020. Then COVID hit, and our wedding planning was turned upside down. From the moment that we started to discuss the idea of postponing, not only was Emily there to support any planning decisions, but she was also our support system. Through daily phone calls and text messages, Emily was there to talk things out, brainstorm ideas, and act as an ear for our vent sessions.At the beginning of the pandemic, everything was unpredictable. Not only was our planning on a roller coaster ride, so were our emotions. From communicating with our venue, to helping us lock down a new florist in less than a week, Emily was there to help us through the process. We had settled on postponing to mid-October, as we were optimistic for what the future had in store. Then we decided to PIVOT again, and made the decision to plan an elopement with our parents and siblings in 10 days, postponing the larger wedding to September 2021. From the moment we made this decision, Emily was instrumental in pulling off the planning on such short notice. We were back to our daily phone calls and texts, as Emily wanted to ensure that she would make anything that we wanted for that day to happen. She was flexible, supportive, and even helped secure last-minute catering and tent rentals.Emily is an absolute gem, and is the planner that you need by your side throughout your wedding planning journey. Rick Rainho: After I had to cancel my daughter's wedding in Massachusetts due to Covid, I decided to move it to Indianapolis. With only 2 weeks before my daughter's new wedding date, I hired Emily without having any vendors. I consulted with her to have it at Laurel Hall and it was a great decision to go with them as the venue was beautiful. Emily had found great vendors for me including a videographer, caterer, DJ, officiant, bakery for the cake, florist, and 2 different salons to do makeup and hair. Mike Wendy: Dean Black is a one in a million decorator! For our wedding, we were looking to have a simple, causal presentation and Dean helped us have that and more AND at a reasonable price. d828: I worked with Dean Black (DAB) for over 2 years on 2 surprise parties for my wife. It went that long due to Covid. They were to occur over Memorial Weekend 2020 but was postponed a year due to Covid.Dean is such a great source of experience and knowledge for whatever kind of party you might want to have his help with. I didn’t always agree with his recommendations but I came to respect and ultimately follow his lead on the many details of these 2 parties that included over 100 people in attendance.One of the key “saves” that Dean did was to respond aggressively and assertively when 4 days before the 1st event our caterer of 2 years pulled out! What terrible timing. Dean wasn’t flustered and he got me 3 bids with similar pricing within 24 hours. And this was for the start of a 3-day holiday weekend. I really surprised at how quickly and appropriately he got them. And the food was EXCELLENT!Dean doesn’t just plan things with you thankfully. On the 2 days of the 2 evenings’ events, he personally worked all day preparing them as well as he was actively involved supporting both events that night. His pleasant, smiling, personable persona was so welcomed and helpful. Weeks before the weekend of these events I became increasingly stressed and anxious with all the various details and loose ends of such events that need to be addressed as the dates get closer. He did a great job of “holding my hand” an helping to assuage my anxiety. I really couldn’t have asked for a better partner for these events. And they both went very well.One thing I didn’t expect from an event planner but which was very helpful and which he has tremendous ability is his creativeness and artistic skills. He came up with designs for invitations and websites that were very colorful, inviting and beautiful. These skills were a huge additional bonus. And he updated them the 2nd year and made them even more colorful and inviting.Obviously, I am so very happy that I engaged Dean and I will ask him to do my next big event!

These folks literally took the vision I had for this celebration and brought it to life. Not only are they creative, innovative, budget-friendly, detail focused and attentive, they did it all in a very professional manner. Brenda & Joe Rust: We held our rehearsal dinner at Dean's place of employment. I literally handed over all the decorations for the evening to Dean as we scurried to the church. When we returned, we were stunned by the way he turned the room into something magical. He was kind, confident, friendly and professional. Mama Jo: I have had the privilege of knowing Dean A. Black for nearly 15 years. We had a professional relationship from 2006-2016. During this time, I have witnessed the outcome of the majority of the events he planned as well as the relationships he established with clients, including myself. Dean Black is not your average event planner. He is very creative, quickly learns your style, actively listens, professional, has an agenda, sets goals/deadlines and meets them. He has excellent communication skills. He lives for making your event extra special and one that you will remember the rest of your life! I nicknamed him "Deanterest" many years ago because he comes up with his own creative ideas in his mind and does not rely on Pinterest to plan or decorate a party. A little DAB'll do ya is very reasonably priced event planning, especially with a genuine gentleman behind the scenes who will bend over backwards to ensure you are completely satisfied.
Indy Now: Dean and his staff recently put on my Mom's 70th Birthday party and it was a big success! We had almost 80 people there, food was great, decorations were classy, the service beyond my expectations and the costs were reasonable. I would highly recommend a little dab'll do ya !

Ali Stark: Robin went above and beyond to ensure our day was everything we wanted and so much more. No one had to lift a finger the entire day as she and her staff took care of everything! We kept encountering little surprises from her all day and that just added to the magic of it all. She’s a one-stop shop! Planning, coordinating, decorating, and flowers (as an extra cost)! Her price for the package we bought was very reasonable especially considering that it included access and use of her entire decor inventory plus the hundreds of other services she provided. We loved working with Robin and getting to know her over the course of 7 months. She recommended some amazing vendors, took care of contacting them, listened to our vision for decor, created an incredible timeline for the day and ensure every single person involved had one and knew what to do, plus SO much more. We feel so lucky to have found her!
Ryan & Sydney: The Wedding Lady was one of the best decisions my husband and I made regarding our wedding. Robin and her staff were amazing and went above and beyond, so we could have an absolutely perfect wedding! We hired Robin 5 months before our wedding because we were looking for someone to be a day of coordinator, but most importantly, we were looking for someone to do all of the decor for us. Robin's decor inventory had everything I had pinned on my wedding pinterest board. It worked out perfectly! Robin also does flowers, which was even more perfect because we had not hired a florist yet. Robin ended up creating a personalized package for us that included access to all of her decor inventory, a master timeline for the big day, day of coordination, and she and her staff did all of the decorating at the venue, plus tore everything down when the night was over. On top of that, Robin did all of our flowers and WOW were they beautiful. We received so many compliments on how amazing our flowers were. Robin and her staff helped make our night a dream come true. She even added in some extra surprises with the decor, which we loved :). Everything was so beautiful, and it wouldn't have been without her and her staff and the amount of effort and skill they put into our wedding. Not only is Robin extremely talented in the work she does, but Robin is very personable. She really listened to what we wanted and helped keep our stress levels down. She was great at communicating with us and never left us out of the loop when she communicated with other vendors. Robin is amazing. Her team is amazing. I recommend The Wedding Lady to anyone and everyone needing a planner, decorator, or florist! It will be one of the best decisions you make.

Caroline Carter: I interviewed several wedding coordinators to see who I would get along with best and who offered the types of services I was looking for. Jessica focuses specifically on the day of coordination, which I knew would be a must for me because I wanted to enjoy the day stress free and focus on my friends, family, and husband on the day of the wedding. Jessica was by far the coordinator who was the friendliest and who I trusted to make sure my wedding was flawless. I was planning a wedding on a shorter (5 month) timeline, flying in a photography team from California, getting my wedding dress delivered from a boutique in D.C., shipping in fine China from Virginia to give you a sense of how intricate all of the details were. My husband and I also had friends and family coming in from 17 different states (all while juggling unknowing COVID logistics), so we wanted to give our guests the best experience possible. Jessica was extremely detail oriented and acted as a human checklist for me to make sure all areas of my wedding were executed perfectly. She even acted as a pseudo wedding therapist when wedding stress was high and I was trying to juggle overly opinionated family members (thanks Jess!). I can confidently say if you want to throw a stunning and stress free wedding in the Indianapolis area, Jessica is the wedding coordinator for you. Andrea Renzi-Burns: From the beginning, Jessica helped me think through all of the details that I was completely unaware of. One of her first projects with me was putting together a rough timeline and that was extremely helpful as we started working with other vendors and planning out more concrete details. She is patient, kind, very responsive, and a joy to work with. She also was key to our rehearsal and the perfect timing of the ceremony processional including organizing our three sweet flower girls. She is so incredibly efficient, organized, upbeat and fun to be with.When COVID hit and quarantine started, we continued planning for our August wedding but also began discussing contingency plans as a family and consulting with Brittany. Brooke Bender: Jessica's service was priceless. If you know me, i'm a very high anxiety person. The day of the wedding i had 0 stress or anxiety. That is only because i knew Jessica was in control. She helped me with our first initial meeting with things i needed to think about for the wedding that i never knew existed. She was always available for questions throughout the process. She never once persuaded me either way or made me feel pressure to do one thing over the other. She was so laid back and wanted this to be my wedding experience and was there as my backbone. The day of the wedding nothing went wrong, and if it did, i still to this day know nothing about it. I was hesitant to pay for a wedding planner, and at the end it was the best money spent. You will not regret Jessica's services.

From the moment we met Brittany at our consultation meeting, we knew that she would be the absolute best person to manage our day. Brittany is extremely detailed, was always available for questions or bouncing ideas off of her, a total calming presence at the rehearsal and the day of, and just super fun to be around.
