Molly Rainette: Mass Ave Wine is a wonderful place with a great, rustic setting! Lisa is an incredible host and knows so much about all the wines she sells, telling a story with all the descriptions she gave of the wine! They offer wine by the bottle and the glass as well as food, beer, spirits, etc!The prices are fantastic as well! Highly recommend this place to anyone walking by!

James Famartino: My new favorite place. You can buy a bottle of wine at normal price and open and drink it there. If you don't finish they can seal it and take it home. Also no cork fee.

She is helpful and can easily assist you in selecting the wines.You can also get the bottle opened and consume it there at Market price without any restaurant markup. Carla Knapp: Just a cozy little shop that’s a great spot for unique wines and spirits.I’m no connoisseur, I just know what I like. While that can be hard to pin down in a big box store, here the staff is super knowledgeable about their products and happy to help with making a perfect selection. I’ve found several gifts and more than a few special bottles for myself, too.While the focus is definitely on wines, you’ll also find spirits as well. One of my favorite discoveries was a wine aged in bourbon barrels.It’s also a secret spot for a sip and sample because they also have wines available by the glass plus flights and a small food menu with charcuterie and such. It’s not often busy so I love sharing a drink with friends in a quiet corner booth. So fun!
Mr Farfan: I am a part time photographer and I went to mass av to take a lot of pictures which was nice in the night that I took it was very warm and welcoming. This is the place to come to have a good time to eat or just to relax to be on the computer.

Laura Maxi: Ok, I was torn on this one and settled at a 4 since 3.5 isn't available. The vibe for a Saturday night was cool. The music was bumping, and the atmosphere was loud (a little too loud for my liking), but for a restaurant that didn't give off that kind of vibe, I'm not complaining.For the table.we started with the meatballs, and I have to say I was disappointed with the laxknof seasoning. Like there was none, and the tomato that tasted freshly made couldn't help! The second app. was the Portuguese sausage that was set on flame to finish the cooking process was delicious. The main courses selected were the chicken and broccoli in the garlic sauce and the veal parm sandwich with fries. Both meals were highlights of the night, both flavorful and the portions were great. The french martini was light and easy to drink. Dessert was on the menu, which were the traditional NorthEnd desserts, but we didn't get a chance to try due to being told the kitchen was closing and I didn't want to feel rushed.The overall service was slow, but I recently saw that this restaurant is under new management. Once everything started flowing, everything was good. I look forward to going back and trying a full 3 course menu to really make a solid decision on this rating.
Jerrick To: Overall, we didn't like our experience at Libertine. Our waiter was friendly enough. However, the food was very average and fell short of expectations of eating at the North End. The wait between the appetizers and mains was long. Also, the owner/manager came off as quite intense and affected the experience. For example, when we got there at the time of our reservation, he kept telling us to wait and left us standing at the entrance while bringing separate groups of guests that came in after us to their tables. It would have been nicer if he had just given an explanation (was it because our table wasn't ready?) or had been more friendly about it.

Neil: My wife and I had dinner at Libertine tonight. With reservations we were seated quickly. Our server was Austin and he was fantastic. Friendly and knowledgeable about what to have. We split mussels with white wine sauce and then had shrimp Mozambique which we shared. The flavor was amazing and service was excellent. Great time in the North End. Met the owner on the way out and thanked him and he was so grateful.
Joy N: Had a really bad experience here.Would not recommend when there are so many other great options nearby who don’t discriminate.We sat at the bar and the drinks were still there from the people before us and the bartender (a short blonde woman) never came to say “hi”, or “will be with you shortly”. We even asked for a menu after 10 minutes, and gave them time to serve us thinking maybe they’re busy. But we did not receive it while another couple sat across from us after we had sat down and was immediately given a menu and then she answered their questions right away. We ended up (all four of us) walking out after 20 minutes and did not ever receive service despite other groups receiving service who had arrived after we did. Will not be coming back or recommending to others when there are so many other wonderful restaurants so close by.Edit after response:I’m 100% sure I have the right place as seen in your photos, we sat at the 4 chairs at the end of the bar near the window :). chris hill: We stopped in to have a drink New Year's Day early evening. The waitress might have been new. We ordered 5 drinks. 8-10 mins later 3 of the drinks came. She said they did not have Absolut or Tito vodka 🤷♂️ Maybe just a New Years Hangover for this bar/restaurant.

Nick: My friend and I walked into Libertine mainly because he had a gift card and we were just looking to grab a quick drink. We ended up loving the place and staying for multiple drinks. The restaurant and bar were both very nice and had a good vibe. The bartender, Ava, was also very friendly and makes a great cocktail. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to have a night out in the north end.

Katie Polum: The hostess managed to get us in as a party of 3 with less than a 20 min wait on a gorgeous Friday night and it was fantastic! The food was great (mussels with red sauce is a must), especially the lobster ravioli and the rib-eye was delicious. Service was great; just the right amount of checking in, and again, and a great hostess :)

Frank Ditore: Made the mistake of trying to visit the North End on a beautiful Fall Saturday evening in Oct. It was jam packed. All restaurants had a long wait or required reservations. Stumbled on Libertine and as luck would have it there were two spots at the bar despite a wait for a table.We had excellent service and food was very tasty. Not a big menu but the selections were excellent and food prepared well. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the wonderful bar tender.

J V: Very confusing when you arrive up the elevator, it kinda just spits you out in the middle of the bar. But the drinks were good and the waitress was very sweet. The menu has appetizers on it but if you’re looking for something sweeter, ask for a dessert menu.

It is a speak easy, so seating is more limited (just be aware if you have a large group at a busy time)! The espresso martini was great! We had an amazing time celebrating, makes you feel very fancy adult !!

Located upstairs above St. Elmo's Steakhouse, it is accessed from just inside the restaurant. 1933 Lounge has a small menu of appetizers, including St. Elmo's famous shrimp cocktail. The bartender was very good. There's various forms of seating from at the bar to high top tables to couches and chairs. There's also a fireplace. Definitely check it out.

We chose the comfortable leather sofa.This place has an amazing speakeasy vibe. If we stayed in Indianapolis, I could see us frequenting this spot.The dinks were amazing. The Kennedy 109 was one of the best cocktails I've had in a while.The seafood stuffed portobello was tremendous.
Gabe Gordon: After paying a 5 dollar cover for an empty place in Indianapolis me and my friend had an old fashioned at the bar. We then asked for a couch to have a cigar. By the time we sat down the bartender had made his way across the room to play Johnny badass and tell us we made a comment about the waitress? We were drinking and while me and my friend talked back and forth there was absolutely no degratory comments about anyone. We were asked to leave which we did. We simply were sitting on a couch likely to about to spend 300 bucks on cigars and drinks. But ultimately the incompetent employees ruined that for us and Nicky Blaine’s. Considering it was a Friday night and the place was a dead. The owner may want to reevaluate who they hire.

If you buy a bunch of drinks they’re fairly laid back on a bring your own cigar type policy (it’s nothing personal I’m sure they have good stuff I just have a collection at home). Their drinks were great and I love the atmosphere.A rare cigar bar you can bring a date to. Good place for a high end cocktail.

And an absolutely massive cigar selection (would recommend looking up before coming to decide on a few choices), with cigars from all over the world. Just as a warning, place does smell like constant secondhand smoke, but I hope you'd realize that after seeing how many cigars they offer! Excellent experience, would highly recommend visiting if you're in downtown Indy by yourself, with a group, with a date, etc.!

Ms. Nakita D. Whyde: I would give a negative zero if I could . I can't believe how myself and my friend was treated last Sat night. I had been there once a couple years ago an had a great time with a younger aged group. I remembered the time an I had been telling my older friends that it was such a great spot. Smh no room fro all the details but after the host choose the area for us to sit and after 45m of no service in a empty lounge , we received water only and then when I flagged down someone an asked for a cigar an drinks , she had the nerve to waste her time an energy to come back to me an my friend and say some body told her we demanded to sit in the spot we were in. I couldn't even say anything. I do believe my friend and I were judged for me being younger an him older. I just told her that as far as customer service I can't believe you came over here to deliver that kind of message to us. And then we left . The door man was awesome tho. We tipped him on out way in an he was pleasant even before that. This replaced what used to be a great memory of this place with such a bad memory for me and for my friends first time experience. Neither one of us will be back

Kristin C: Goose is a special place. The employees are so kind and always willing to go the extra mile for you. They are very knowledgeable about their products and full of excellent recommendations - from cheeses to cured meat to wine and beer. They also have plenty of uncured meat and seafood as well as a variety of prepared items in their cooler as well as produce and bread from Amelia’s bakery. And whatever they don’t have, they can get for you. Everything they carry is of impeccable quality. Their Batali sandwich is, frankly, a masterpiece. I don’t know if you’ve truly experienced Indianapolis until you’ve had one. I am also partial to Heidi Ho’s banana bread and Hen of the Woods red wine vinegar chips. But you really can’t miss. If you work at Goose or have worked at Goose, I would like to say thank you. Thank you for always making me feel at home and cared for.

Muhammad Khalifa: Cozy neighborhood spot with some of the best sandwiches I know of in the city. The daily specials are worth keeping an eye on: Savage Blondes at this week's Monday oyster special were phenomenal and the fresh pasta on Thursdays has never disappointed. Looking forward to making this a regular haunt! Also check out the grocery parts of the store for excellent ingredients for at home cooking adventures.
Erin Barr: A bite of one of these sandwiches instantly transports me to any good sandwich shop in New York City. The quality of the ingredients is better than any sandwich shop I've eaten at in Indianapolis.

Sebuin1972: Doubt I'll back. New to neighborhood. Said I had never been in a butcher shop like. Was trying to get an idea of what to try on their confusing wall. One lady was nice but not really helpful on any suggestions that wasnt a double helping $24 cheese and meet plate. No real discovery questions to guide. I can't deny they had a lot of interesting stuff just a bit overwhelming to a new person like myself. The other lady behind the counter was curt and seemed more annoyed to have to be bothered. Not a warm atmosphere customer wise. I'm sure if you're well versed it's great. But to a new customer it was confusing and unwelcoming.

Even when I get old and my intestinal tract can no longer handle spices, I will make an annual pilgrimage to drive the 18 miles from my house to taste this devine sandwich. Nataly Luja: Went out for a girls night with a friend, and this place was just perfect. It's seat yourself, which I didn't know at first. The drinks were amazing, and very humorous with the names. Our server was also great and very attentative.

If you’re looking for good drinks then this is the place! Not really a huge food selection so definitely would only come here if you are wanting to drink and have already ate or plan to eat afterwards. Otherwise they have a decent appetizer type menu. I did try their chicken quesadilla and it was decent.

Lazarus Doyle: Completely appalled by the experience my friends and I received during our visit yesterday 1/21/2023. The female working behind the bar and the male serving were very rude and disrespectful. My friends and I stopped in for a drink to celebrate my birthday and when my boyfriend asked what the waiter suggested or if there were any special he aggressively tapped on the menu suggesting for him to just look at the menu. I didn’t like this at all, I gathered all of the menu and took them to the bar and asked for someone else to come to our table. The female behind the bar then came and slammed the menu I brought back to them on the table next to us. After that we chose to leave. I am extremely disappointed as this has been on my lists of places to try but I will certainly not be returning.
Siara Cox: We went to this location to celebrate my friend’s birthday. When ordering, our server was asked what his recommendation was and he said “there’s a menu right there” as though this isn’t a question to be expected as a server. My friend then went to return the menus, and a female bartender/waiter returned and slammed the menus on the table next to us. As we were leaving, another party asked why we were leaving, and when we told them it was due to rudeness from the server, they stated they felt the same way. The vibe in the establishment was nice until the terrible service we received. Very unfortunate.
Bri: Just left this establishment and my friends and I feel completely disrespected. It’s my friend’s birthday and the waiters were rude and not helpful at all. We were the only all black table in the room and it absolutely felt like it. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Lillian Vanatta: Came to the Exchange with a friend looking to try some new whiskeys. We ordered the bartenders choice whiskey flights and with our very different preferences, he curated fantastic combinations for us. Love the atmosphere and the price was reasonable. It does get super loud since it's such a cozy space but we really liked the staff and all the options.

Despite the other negative reviews on here, we came in on a Wednesday at 6:45 or so and were greeted immediately upon entering. We were told to sit wherever and were waited on right after we picked a seat and continued to have attentive service. I had the magic carpet cocktail which was excellent. The drinks were ~craft and spirit forward. We really just found this place so we could get a drink before our dinner reservation and were really impressed. Will be spreading the word and taking others here..The seating is mostly couches and comfy chairs, but they do have a few tall tables and bar seating. The lighting is low, always something on the wall to look at and the ambiance is super nice. Seems they have a downstairs but it wasn’t open when I went. When we arrived there was only one other couple there but then started to fill up pretty quick after a half an hour. Come for a date, drinks with friends, a classy (hate this word but it fits lol) place to entertain the parents for a bit.. highly recommend, genuine 5 star from me.

Jacob Paulsen: Visiting from out of town and was treated to dinner here. Service was fantastic and the history here is amazing. Everybody said their steak was amazing except the 2 people who ordered the tomahawk. Those were ok but not special. Everyone in town told us to order the shrimp cocktail. I think it's an inside joke because that thing will kill you. Maybe you will like it but consider yourself warned. Had a great time because I was with great friends.
