House Of Cheung: what do users think?
J N: Always a pleasant experience here. Food is good, the staff and owners awesome! The restaurant itself is really cool and inviting bht it's been only take out only of late. Definitely recommend this gem of a restaurant (homemade sweet and sour sauce too!)Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Sweet and Sour Chicken, Orange Chicken, General TSO's Chicken, Szechuan Chicken, Hot and Sour Soup …More
Beulah Okonkwo: Like the food! Reasonable price for what I order.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Sweet and Sour Chicken, Cashew Chicken, Hot and Sour Soup …More
Annie Ann: Have they gotten rid of the roaches? The food was good, but when you could go in, saw roaches. Have they gotten rid of the roaches?
Tj Govan: Smallest portion for high price. The chicken wings look like the movie Honey I shrunk the kids and I asked for boneless spare ribs and they gave me sliced chicken breast on a bed of lettuce. Never ordering from here again. Money wasted.
Monica Staples: Very very good. Appears to be fresh every time.
Gerald Edward Stites Jr.: Good not great take outFood: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 2/5Recommended dishes Crab Rangoon, General TSO's Chicken …More
Jessica Balascio: They are not open for sit-down dining.I've driven by this place a million times without knowing it, and I regret EVERY SINGLE TIME I didn't stop in and eat 😆Their food is quite delicious!!Moreover, the value for money is exceptional.High-quality ingredients; prepared without too much sauce; and 40$ feeds two people for at least 2 days. The biggest surprise for me was the wanton soup. It's in a light broth, which usually means it's flavorless, but not so! It was robust and satisfying.10/10Highly recommend!!
Michael greaney: Amazing Chinese food, except for average and dull egg rolls. Always get egg rolls from King Dragon on Broad Ripple Ave.
L W: Best Chinese food on the north side.Food: 5/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Traci Zinman: Love the Chinese food take out from this place! Highly recommend!!! Since COVID they no longer have in person dinning and after talking with them they do not think they will ever re-open the restaurant.I recommend the Egg Foo Young, d-lish!
Kathy Martin: Been eating there for years always great
Alyssa Bean: I love you House of Cheung
Nani Romero: We are so happy to have found this little local spot. The food here tastes so clean and comforting. You can really tell they care about their food. Every time my partner comes back from picking up carry out he remarks on how nice they are. I am so grateful for them providing our family with a wonderful option for great Chinese food when we feel like getting take out instead of cooking. This has surely made our family happy many times!
Michael Palmer: Delicious food and super friendly staff. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Indy.
Eric Goldsmith: consistently good food. huge menu.Vegetarian options: my wife and kids enjoy so many choices. not sure if they cook in separate pans and fryersParking: more than enough parking
Deborah B: If you want truly authentic Chinese food, choose House of Cheung. Everything is delicious here. For many years we went there for lunch when they had a buffet. They stopped doing the buffet because the owner's mother was getting up in years and ailing. Now I believe they only do dinner and it is Carry out only.Vegetarian options: They do have vegetarian options on the menu. Chech out their website.Kid-friendliness: They do also have a kid's menu.
Biilaxbakitchish B (Katherine326): The food is authentic and good
Jay Cobb: Just called to ask a few questions about their on-line menu. The person who answered the phone said "we don't have an on-line menu, you can't order on-line". I said "ok, so to order I have to come to the restaurant to get a menu" to which she replied "we are carry out only". I asked how I'm supposed to know what to order with no menu and she said "all Chinese food very similar". Used to like to go to this place when they had dine in but their carry out only policy is past its time, especially when you can't even get a menu....
Corey Smolka: Some of the best General Tsos I've had, not the typical generic chunks you get at other other take out places. The Szechuan chicken was more like a soup, had good flavor but was very watery. The egg rolls were average, as were the Crab Rangoon. I requested some of the house made sweet n sour sauce, but only got duck sauce packets in the bag. Overall the food was pretty good and reasonably priced, wish I would have got some of the other sweet n sour sauce to go with the egg rolls and Rangoons. 7/10
Paul Frayer: Terrific Chinese food!
J G: Great Food !!!!!!

Oriental Inn: what do users think?
Breezy Ritter: Just found out that they are not going to reopen. A 37 year staple of the neighborhood it has been a great place to get fresh good food. Thank you for the good years!! Wish you all the best in the future!!
Hamish Munro: Absolutely fantastic! I had oriental inn when I first moved to Indy and never stopped going there especially their brunch deals whi h are great!I really hope they give an update when they'll be open again cause I miss their food!
Frankie Epperson: My favorite place of all time.. I've been sad since the kitchen fire. Their food isn't like anywhere else. It's so fresh and overall amazing. Excited for when they open again!
Bre Schumpert: Dine in: Yes Outdoor seating: No Takeout: Yes Delivery: No Curbside pickup: NoMore
Jaythepirate Roberts: great "hands on experience" if ya catch my drift ; )Curbside pickup: Yes …More
Lora Kearce: All I'm going to say is great food I have been coming hear since I was a kid and I am now 50 and I still eat here
DAS: After years of experiencing consistently good service and good food, which I always pick up and carry out, I have unfortunately been unable to place an order during any of the many phone calls I've made in recent weeks. Calls are immediately received by an automated service that simply says they are not able to take phone calls. That doesn't offer an explanation about not taking calls. Searching there website that are "Temporarily Closed" due to a fire.
Anthony Stantz: Best hot and sour soup I’ve ever had. Everyone one there makes you feel like family.Dine in: Yes Takeout: Yes …More
Jeremy Newcomer: Best restaurant on the east side. The food is great and the owners are the most warm and kind people you would ever want to meet. They are going to be closed for a while. Let's keep them in business when they open back up! Love you Oriental Inn!
Tressie Kaufman: I love this place but their hours are horrible. They would benefit from staying open, certainly on the weekends. If it weren’t for the hours I would rate 5 star
Dia E: Some of the nicest people ever great food. I had such a good first time here came for my partner’s birthday :)
Elizabeth Wilhite: I've been coming here for years. Always great food and service. Highly recommend.
Aaron Gilbert: A gem in Indianapolis on the far East side. In business for well over 2 decades that boasts family style dining with the older familiar dining room to those who appreciate traditional Chinese cuisine. Delicious thru and thru. Treat yourself and don't forget hot tea with your meal!
cynthia mitchell: Wonderful staff and food.
Alison Dresser: They went above and beyond with their customer service! I was almost an hour late picking up my takeout, and they still had all of my food ready. They even replaced/reheated some that had gotten cold—which was totally unnecessary, but highly appreciated! Besides the great customer service, the food is also awesome! I highly recommend the sesame chicken :) I’ll be back for sure!
David Innie: Awesome traditional Korean and Chinese cuisine. Went with a large group and service was fantastic. Highly recommended. My only gripe is the location. The neighborhood is rough and it would be wise to make this your only stop in the area.
phil hoff: Best hot and sour soup ever! Lunch specials are great.
David Weitz: Awesome
Fielans Shan: Favorite among elders. Majority eaters are elder people who appreciate healthy and delicious Chinese food. Food is good and cheap. Will definetly come back to try other dishes.
lala housley: Wow excellent service !! I'm doing this review in the parking lot lol would definitely be back. This was my first time coming they was so nice I see why they have 4.7 Stars
Ubain Villafane: El mejor lugar de comida oriental

Indy Translations and Language Center: what do users think?
Alejandro Estévez: The Korean classes are great :)
Jeff Buttrum: Hungría is an excellent teacher who has always demonstrated unlimited enthusiasm and patience. In addition, she consistently found new ways to challenge us & provide helpful structure. Thanks to her and the staff at Indy Translations, my Spanish has improved immensely from where I started.
Mercedes Muniz-Peredo: I love the class, but sometimes I feel it goes too fast for me.
Nicole Van Klompenburg: I was disappointed in my experience with Indy Translations and Language School. They were unorganized. The website and conversations with staff made it seem online like many classes were happening all of the time. But classes never happened for meSome examples of what I experienced-Classes were 4 months delayed from promised start time. June 2020-I was denied a refund multiple times when they couldn't form a class in the timeline promised. Sept 2020-I was charged for a textbook after being promised it would be free (as a gift for their error in class scheduling). Aug 2021.-One class was delayed 20+ min because management forgot to unlock the exterior door for our class. (Not to the fault of our teacher). No refunds or make up time offered by ILC. Sept 2021-I expressed my disappointment to the management (GionCarlo and later Saskia Graddy) Instead of addressing their policies or trying to make things better, I was convinced to purchase additional classes, and then the "gift" of free German classes they promised never happened. Dec 2021---However I just updated my review and gave them an extra star (2 now instead of 1), because I just looked at their website and they made at least one change that should make it better for students in the future! They added a feature to their class schedule to show which classes are currently in session, which are forming, etc. I added an image. It used to be much more generic, and you couldn't see which classes already had times and expected dates. So this is a great improvement.Hopefully they changed some other policies as well to make it a better experience for future students!
Karen H: Hungria does an awesome job at Indy Translations. She's kind, patient, and an excellent teacheer.
Conrad Piccirillo: Carolina has been an excellent teacher and a resource for the entire class. She has a passion for teaching and brings that energy to every class.Carolina has a great sense of how quickly to move the class forward and when to review. During each class she steps away from the book to bring real-world signing exercises into play. She explains the origin of the signs which help the students connect them to memory and shows the differences between the book signs and how they are updated in today's language culture.I'm hopeful there will be a ASL #2 class to continue our learning.
Jovan Rodriguez Lopez: Overall, an outstanding experience learning Mandarin from Tina. Additionally, the support staff is always very helpful and quick to response to any request.
Zach Gates: I am unfortunately relocating to the east coast and hoping to pursue in-person classes there, but I greatly enjoyed my time taking Korean classes at the ILC for over a year. I learned a great deal and received the structure that I needed to consistently progress in my learning of the language, and I also made some really great friends in my teacher and classmates. In terms of the learning, the small class size ensured plenty of opportunities to practice speaking, which is always my greatest concern when learning a language since that is the hardest part for me. There was also room to stretch yourself on the homework and challenge yourself to learn new words or attempt to use more advanced grammar if you so desired.
iara Frois: Tive uma otima experiência com essa escola, Fiz aulas particulares e minha professora era otima! Adorei e recomendo!
Glorious Dove: They are professional
Hannah Min: I really enjoyed my Korean class with Jihyun! She's an awesome teacher and knows how to keep the class engaged, while making it fun through different activities. If anyone is interested in taking Korean or another language, I'd highly recommend ILC and their team.감사합니다!
Blythe Kleinschmidt: Hungria is the best. Because of her, I am continuing my Spanish classes. As a teacher myself, I appreciate how she really takes time to get to know her students. I do not think of it as a class, but more of our little family, and this is due to Hungria’s teaching style. It is evident that she is passionate about sharing her knowledge onto others. We have fun while we are learning, she has patience , and knows what each student needs in order to be successful. As far as the staff, they have ALWAYS responded in a timely fashion with professionalism.
Eyüp Yavuz: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality
Sue Gaebler: I was very pleased with the excellent instructor I had for my french classes. She was a native speaker, extensive knowledge in education and multiple languages. I feel she was very patient and explained the why and how of grammar necessary for speaking and reading the language. She patiently corrected my pronunciation and helped me to gain confidence in speaking french as well as adding vocabulary. The office staff were helpful and very nice. I would recommend the Indy Translation and Language Center very highly.
Amanda Tutino: Sto imparando tanto ed e anche divertente!
Thesly Guy46229: Positive:ProfessionalismI.L.C , is an great program between the study material and the instructors. If wanting to start or continue your knowledge of any language. I would highly recommend indy language Center.
Corbin: Critical:ProfessionalismWas calling to see what the average turn around time would be. Very rude and extremely poor customer service. Going through this tedious process of getting translations is stressful but they could care less obviously.
Amanda Wallace: Currently taking a beginner course for German. After not quite two years, I am currently with our third instructor (two previous left with understandable circumstances). Our current instructor, D. Nash, is absolutely remarkable. Hope they never leave! The current office administrator (if that's the correct title), Saskia, is wonderful, as well.
Christy Smith: Great place. The man who runs it is very passionate about helping people. Central location, easy to get to and close to everything. An investment that is worth it.
amyrwheatley: I was extremely disappointed with the Vietnamese interpreter I hired from Indy Translations. Rather than interpreting exactly what the deponent was saying, the interpreter took it upon himself to paraphrase and explain my questions and the deponent's answers. We had to stop the deposition because he was not interpreting correctly and was changing the testimony being given by the deponent. When I complained to Indy Translations, they said they would not refund my money because they have never had a complaint about the interpreter before, and because he gave them a different account of what had occurred that day.I will not be using their services in the future, and I would caution others against using them if you're concerned about having accurate translations.
JZ: The language staff and director is outstanding. I recommend this language center. Their customer service is the best I've seen at a learning center.

Imperial palace: what do users think?
Neal Irihal: Best Chinese restaurant I have been too, quaint elegant atmosphere, and friendly service. I like how they have a 1-10 spicy scale and there is indeed a difference between each level. Also, the value for your money is great too. What more can you ask for!

Katherine Arnold: This unassuming restaurant is some of the best Chinese food in Indianapolis. My husband has been getting food here since 2010 and introduced me to it in 2016. When my dad comes down he always insists in eating here. They do a brisk take out business, but you can eat in. The food is cooked fresh, delicious, and spiced to your liking. I usually go with a 3-4. Our favorites include the yum yum chicken, sesame beef, fried rice, and egg drop soup. That being said we have never had a bad dish.

Yen Ching Restaurant: what do users think?
Mari Jane: The food has changed drastically since old owner left! Potstickers terrible and there’s breading on the shrimp in the beef with shrimp and broccoli. Used to be my favorite restaurant now I’ll never go back. So sad and disappointed. Tried again tonight and they forgot my soup crunchys… food not as good. Done with this place
latrina turner: 1st of all we ordered over the phone which calls go to someone's house, then they send the orders in. They couldn't find the order when we got there, so we had to wait. ? Finally order came in via internet. After waiting for them to make the food it was NOT good. Crab rangoon...hard mei fun noodles...greasy and egg roll...dry and hard...House fried rice..bland Will NEVER eat here again!??
Jesus Montes: This was my first time here. I looked at the menu before I came in and had a pretty good idea of what I wanted. When I came in I was promptly greeted and after letting my server know it was my first time here gave me suggestions on what to get. Service was quick. The food was really good. I guess the only thing I can "complain" about is the fact that they don't have dessert. But really nothing else. Definitely will be back. 10/10 recommend giving them a shot.
Halley O: Cute decor, excellent service, good food. Tried the beef skewers, crab Rangoon, egg drop soup, and black pepper chicken. The only negative aspect while there was it was very quiet, no musicFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Steven Edsall: Amazing hot and sour soup. Been a favorite for years. Locally owned gem.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jason Stein: Typical old school Chinese food. Little pricey, but good.
Tim: I find the food at this Chinese food restaurant is very good. It is probably not authentic but it is operated by Chinese people. I've always like the Hot and Sour Soup. The crispy wonton are tasty too. The location and atmospheric are not the reason to visit since the are somewhat substandard but if you in the area it is worth the stop. I've always been there for lunch but it has been a while so the prices have risen substantially. A lunch entrée is around $12 to $13.
K: Worst Chinese we've ever had! Bland and everything tasted watered down! Somewhat pricey crab Rangoons had zero crab and tasted off the dipping sauce was very obviously watered down (you can see the water separate from the sauce), fried rice was definitely not fried and was very overcooked and mushy, and mushrooms tasted rehydrated in plain water ( not fresh at all)!!! Can't believe we wasted good money on this "food"!!
JeJuJe Ortiz: Tried this restaurant on New Year's Day as most restaurants were closed. We love Asian food, so we took a chance, and we were glad we did! Love the Empress Chicken - very much recommended this menu. I have never tried this at any Chinese restaurant, so I can't compare, but the chicken tasted so good with the sauce that came with it.We also had pork dumplings, mongolian beef with onions, beef and vegetables, and shrimp Lo Mein. They all tasted way better than expected. The portions are bigger than most other Chinese restaurants that we have been to.The decor inside the restaurant is interestingly colorful.. it has printed designs of weird looking masks that my kids were kind of scared.. however, overall, it was a good dining experience.
Sara Cooke: Food is amazingFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
John Neary: Yen ching was not great for a while after their remodel. I tried it again after seeing a recent review saying it tasted more like James' recipes and it's pretty good again. I'm super glad I rolled the dice.
Benisha Marie: Food: 1/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5More
Anja Willis: Went here for lunch after surgery and didn’t realize that they closed at 2 o’clock nor was I told that they closed at 2 o’clock and re-opened so I ordered my food and of course I just had surgery so I’m moving slow eating slow still trying to wake up from Just having anesthesia,I ordered soup and a Poopoo platter. Before the food got to the table I got a phone call in the middle of my lunch and answer my phone call next thing you know I’m trying to hop off the phone call super fast because they are telling us that they’re leaving! I had no idea they were leaving they literally turned the lights off on us I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone at all Super super rude and on top of it they are outrageously priced. Their lunch is $12 and up. Really miss the one that used to be out by the pyramids they have exceptional customer service and they were always friendly they remembered your names too bad they’re gone don’t waste your time here! Anja VETOES!
Nicholas Wood: This is a recent update to a previously posted review. I had rated Yen Ching a 1/5 stars. Namely due to higher prices, different recipes, and the same/or less portions for more money. However I have eaten here 3 times since my last review.Something has changed. The recipes tasted way more similar to how they used to with the old manager James. The mongolian beef, potstickers and crab rangoon were excellent. Mongolian beef specifically has improved drastically and tasted much like how the food used to. The price for 6 potstickers is still a little steep, but overall there have been many noticeable improvements to warrant return visits.
Brian McIntire: Prices are a bit high for lunch but food is exceptionally good and service is very good. I especially like to order the Szechuan shrimp there. Very goodFood: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
James Fitzgerald: We had hibachi steak and chicken. The food was really good and the inside is kind of dated but it's still cool. The wall paper is greatParking: Lots of spotsWheelchair accessibility: Easy to get to
Dee Ann Hart: Food: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5More
Lea Dunahee: This is an amazing and very authentic Chinese restaurant! Family owned and run. This place deserves every good review it’s gotten!
Scott Ritchie: Easant experience
Steve Schlangen: Had Kung Pao Shrimp....was spicy & fantastic. I think it was a bit pricey.
Jeremy Tuterow: Very clean inside. Staff was very friendly. Fast service! And food was very good!

ELS Language Centers - Indianapolis: what do users think?
Justin Binder: I love learning a new language
Mona Almansari: may I have the director's e-mail for this branch please!
S Alharbi: Never forget this please, 2014 💙
Ahmed: I studied in this center in 2015.Lots of thanks to the following teachers: Josh, Brian Francis, Kathy Jackson. They really know how to teach English as a second language.
Tellur -: Sorry i was upset. I should not have given such an assessment.
Adebola A: The centre is very okay but I am not too pleased with the speaking examiners. My experience is that speaking test is graded low at the centre or probably it has to do with the examiner I met. My first attempt at the exam, I had a 7 in speaking and the second attempt which was better prepared for, I had 6.5 with 8 in other subjects.
Athbi Alshammari: I appreciate the proficiency and flexibility of the management there.
Marilia Sales: A very nice school with excellent teachers. I spent one session at ELS Indianapolis and I could improve my English skills there.
Habeeb Sharief: One of the best places to take the various English tests.-New classrooms.-Eminent and professional Teaching staff.-Friendly and helpful volunteers.Highly and strongly recommended!!!
Sibo Wang: Good experience doing the IELTS test here.
marvin kiefer: This is for international students who may be looking for an English center to prepare themselves for the TOEFL exam for US college acceptance. This is a highly unethical place for both teaching employees and ELS students. When I worked there years ago, it was not uncommon for management to alter grades to hold students back for more profit. Its reputation is bad with most Indiana universities, so most won’t accept the center’s certification. Avoid at all costs. Cheers.
Humaira Fatima: The staff was excellent, and helped in every way they could. The responses to emails was always prompt and lucid.
Saja Sami76: The staff are very helpful and nice people.
Swathi Ramachandran: Took the ielts test at this center. Their invigilators were very efficient and I had a hassle free experience.
ABHINAV HANDA: Accessibility: PerfectStaff: Perfect + Helpful + Very PleasingManagement during Exam: CommendableResponse related to Candidate Queries: Very Responsive. They usually respond in less than 24 hours.Would anytime recommend this center for IELTS preparation & test.
Sirisha M: Went here to take IELTS. Super friendly staff. Dennis was a pleasure to work with.
Birju Patel: Nice management and staff as IELTS center. I suggest this center for your IELTS exam. Specially Dannis is very helpful for smooth transition of all student's exam.
Joshua Cropsey: I have taught English in many different venues around the globe. I taught at ELS Indianapolis for close to 4 years and am currently serving as the academic director. I feel we have the highest of quality teachers and an amazing English as a second language program that has successfully prepared thousands of students for American university. It is an honor and privilege to work at ELS.
Kim Lawburg: It has a family-friendly environment!
elaysha woods: ELS Indy is awesome! The staff and teachers are amazing! They help us learn so much inside and outside of the classroom.
Jessica Oakley: Don't waste your money if you really want to learn english

suga snaxxx: Good food.. fast service..
Sandra M: Usually my favorite Chinese Restaurant. Last week they neglected to give me my extra Garlic Sauce, my fried rice was hard and my lo mein noodles were too soft. First time disappointed with my food in 3 years.
Allison Podborny: I just found out about this place and have ordered from them twice. The food was amazing both times and it was always ready in less than 2p minutes. Would definitely recommend!
Joni Heredia: I ordered takeout from here via doordash and it was ready within 10 minutes, it was very convenient to my house, and all the food was hot and delicious. I will definitely be ordering again.
Wonda Smith: Always courtesy and quick service

Sherri Patterson: We have been patronizing this restaurant for over 30 years and they have absolutely hands down the best food, service and cleanliness. We have been to many other restaurants that the quality of the food does not even compare. I hope they will be around for many more years and keep up the quality of food and service.Parking: Plenty of parking.

Logun Trimmer: Im not sure how this spot has allthe good reviews. The food is very bland. The best part about everything we ordered was the white rice. First time here and will be our last.😥👎👎
Stephen Drake: This is probably the best place to go if you want a traditional sit down restaurant. I prefer this to New York style store fronts and buffet. The quality is better than most though the fried rice isn't worth the extra cost. Fried dumplings and egg rolls seem homemade. Good place for the price. They were busy and wish they were busier, cause they deserve it.
Allen Davidson: My favorite Chinese restaurant for almost 30 years. Food is always great, especially the soups.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Ryan Endris: Always delicious, hot, and efficiently prepared food!
William Murphy: Nice value
Matt Kolb: This place was a very pleasant surprise. We had just moved to this area and wanted to find a good local Chinese place to go to. After a couple of others failed to live up to our expectations, we decided to eat in here - what fantastic food! Definitely appears to be a more "family-run" business, which we really appreciate.
Brittany Gladfelter: Absolutely the WORST Chinese food I’ve ever had. The rice has NO flavor, the “fried rice” is really just steamed, and the egg rolls were burnt outside and DRY on the inside. I will NOT be returning…ever. I’m not sure what 400 people rated this place 4.4 stars but SHAME ON YOU.

Sonyadae Swisher: Not a horrible place to go with great portions for the price. The chicken fried rice was pretty good, but the egg foo young gravy and dumpling sauce were far too sweet and all of the food had too much Sesame seed oil in it and left a very strong aftertaste. I did wish the egg foo young had more flavor without the sauce, which was strangely light in color and incredibly sweet compared to what I'm used to.The food was prepared quickly. I would say I would order here again if I'm working on a tight budget.
