Matt Black: For as expensive a restaurant as it was I was expecting better food. My best bite all night was the seafood chopped salad,which was made incorrectly the wrong cheese was put in the Greek salad parmesan instead of feta, but came out later than everyone else in my parties salad so didn’t feel like I should send it back and delay the meal. My lobster tail was tough the stone crab claws weren’t impressive. Oysters Rockefeller was good along with the calamari but the shrimp tempura disappointed. My steak was cooked correctly and my cocktails were good. Dessert took what felt like 30 minutes plus from when we ordered them which didn’t make sense with how empty the restaurant was. When everyone at the table starts cracking jokes about how long it is taking and is 80% through their dessert cocktails or coffee you know something went wrong. Desserts were massive which isn’t bad as long as there is some warning,which we weren’t given, that you should share them. Overall for spending that much money at a restaurant you would expect it to be more impressive with the food. Service was good and the waiter was attentive.also like several other people have said the place is so dark that we had flashlights out to read the menu. And we didn’t feel like there was anywhere to take a picture because of bad lighting.

Ray Vanlanot: They have what appears to be a biased dress code. Their Sunday 1/2 priced oysters is contained only to one type of freshwater oysters, The place is dark even during the day, and the elevator is so dark, YOU MUST HOLD ONTO THE GUARDRAIL or simply crawl so you don't fall. Thank heaven the have an elevator. Service was minimal at best. I think that they are so exclusive that the will feel it soon if not already.

We had such great service starting with the hostess our waiter Jake and his helper, Fill. Jake was very helpful in guiding us through the menu and suggesting both entrees and complimentary wine.We had the crab cakes and the sea scallops. Best seafood we have had in ages!!And we travel to many places.They even celebrated my birthday with a baked Alaska, flaming at the table - yummy.The prices are higher, but worth every penny!!!!We will be finding the Oceanaire in other places we travelThank you so much

Scott Austin: Ruby, and the manager (I don’t remember her name) were both very accommodating on the phone as we spoke in preparation for our group. Waiter Jake was excellent, very professional, yet fun and knowledgeable. Food was excellent as always, we visit once year, every year for the past 12 years. We love Oceanaire Indianapolis.
Brent Hendricks: This is one of our favorite celebration spots. The menu is refreshed periodically, so there's always new things to try. A bit pricey but the atmosphere is great! Laten Smith: First poor review I have ever left a business I don’t take bad reviews lightlyI took my wife for her 30th birthday. We went to M&S because I remember my grandpa taking me for my birthday 15+ years ago and how incredible the food/atmosphere/ service was.We were disappointed from the first interaction we had with our waiter when we had to ask for the complimentary bread and it was ignored and never brought to us.We both ordered drinks. I used the name that was given on the menu and our waiter told me I was wrong and it was called something else. He asked for our I.D.s which we gave him and then made us repeat our D.O.B. And tell him our age. It felt insulting I’ve never been questioned like that before especially when the person had my ID in their hand. When stating our age I told him my wife’s age and that we were here for her 30th birthday dinner he simply looked at her, handed her I.D. Back and walked away. Not that a “happy birthday” is required but I would say it was expected.We ordered appetizers of oysters and calamari. The oysters were delicious but the calamari was rubber. On several bites we had to spit it out onto our plate because we physically could not chew it. My wife’s meal (crab& shrimp stuffed salmon was bland with no flavor and my steak was so tough it was hard to cut with a knife. I had to spit it out several times because of the amount of grizzle. I forced myself to eat half and left it on the plate. Both of us agreed the mashed potatoes surely came out of a bag. We also ordered a lobster tail that we had to cut with a knife and did not finish because it was like chewing on a car tire.Our waiter never once asked us how our meal was and was standoffish. We both felt he was avoiding our table. I honestly wish I would have talked to a manager instead of paying our $183.00 when we know we would have had a better experience at cheddars scratch kitchen for the cost of the expected gratuity.Shame on me for allowing this highly touted establishment to ruin my wife’s birthday celebration
Denise Nalett: I thought that the food would've tasted better if the steak was cooked right. My husband had to send the steak back three times and they still didn't get it right. He ended up eating it because he was so hungry. The manager did compensate for his food, but I think the price you pay for your food should've been cooked better. The steak also didn't have any flavor. It was very bland.

Jacob Paulsen: Visiting from out of town and was treated to dinner here. Service was fantastic and the history here is amazing. Everybody said their steak was amazing except the 2 people who ordered the tomahawk. Those were ok but not special. Everyone in town told us to order the shrimp cocktail. I think it's an inside joke because that thing will kill you. Maybe you will like it but consider yourself warned. Had a great time because I was with great friends.

Jose Leon: We visited on a Sunday evening and the place was was fairly empty for the bar. Most were there for the basketball (March Maddness). Service was okay but the steaks were perfect. Wife had the filet and I went for the bone in ribeye. They were outstanding. Mine was not fatty but marblie...deviene! The only thing in the doggie bag was literally the bone for out doodle back home. No room for desert but left feeling very satisfied. Oh and the new facelift was notable inside and out...! Decore was very plesent.

Devyn Rubino: We celebrated my husband’s birthday at Sullivans with my father-in-law. It was our second visit to Sullivan’s. Our server, Michael, was fantastic. I appreciated his recommendations for appetizers and steak enhancements. He also is the first server to ever recognize that my husband drinks a lot of water and brought him a second glass to keep filled. We truly enjoyed our time here and will continue to come back.

Holly Krajewski: My cocktail was terrible. French Martini is my go to drink and I was told the bartender at Sullivan's makes theirs with gin. The recipe calls for vodka so I requested vodka. I took 2 small sips and left it on the table the rest of the evening. The waitress never asked what was wrong or why I wasn't drinking it. For $16, it should be right, right? Alas.
