Hoosier Heights Indianapolis: what do users think?
Elias King: The place seems pretty cool but the workers there are not helpful or friendly at all. At least when I went with my friend. It was our first time there and we have never lead climbed before. They didn't show us anything and if we asked questions they gave us a side eye like "how did you not know?" Like dude, we said this is our first time at this location help us. We didn't get an orientation or walk-through. The place lowkey sucked bc they also have "members only" spots. Like why tho? If you're gonna pay 25 dollars for a day pass I want the whole experience. They had decent walls but the rest of it sucked.
Susan Magna: My 7 year old grandson’s 1st time and he had a blast! Climbed to the top!!! Lots of fun!
Dr. William Starsiak: A huge place to climb at. The largest in Indianapolis with the most options. The day I was there the heating was broken so it was cold, but that's not the typical. My daughter's classmates had a party here for her birthday. All the kids loved it why they had climbing experience or not.
Sven Gurglani: Walked in planning to climb and saw a bunch of woke flags. I asked the obviously woke girl at the desk about it and got the usual woke diatribe and was told to leave (just for asking). Great people skills.15 minutes later, we ended up at Climb Time, and had a great experience. Climb Time has been fun every time we go, without the pretense. This is a recreation, people, and we dont live in San Fran. Climbing may be trendy here, but it's passé in other places. Everyone's money is green, if you don't want mine, which you obviously don't, then that's fine.
Mike Reimer: Nice climbing gym with big variety of bouldering, top rope and lead routes. If I still lived here I would be a member again.
Betsy Field: Great climbing gym! Routes change frequently and lots of variety for all skill levels and different climbing styles.
James Wallace: Hoosier heights is my favorite Indianapolis area rock climbing gym! It has some of the longest indoor routes I’ve ever been on and the lead wall and it’s prowl is fantastic. The snake is a super unique addition too that I love. I don’t boulder as much but when I do the sets at Hoosier Heights aren’t just jug ladders and make you think a bit :) In between hitting the New and the Red this is my favorite gym to train at hands down!
Colby Jensen: The orientation you watch is completely unnecessary and is common sense and a waste of time. Ether need to get rid of it or make it shorter because it is so long. Learned nothing from it.
Reily P.: Terrible gym, terrible management, terrible treatment of employees. || Don’t even think about going when team kids are climbing, because they will take whole areas of the bouldering wall and you’ll be left waiting 10-15 minutes for a try at your routeAlso the snake foam pit has water at the bottom and is moldy.
Jon Gosselin: My son ate the foam pit foam and went to the ER. Just about a month ago, I had my 12 year old son's birthday party here. It was an utter and total disaster. I scheduled the party three months out and three days before the party they postponed it on us for two months. Eventually the party happened but the awful supervision of the kids led to my son and a 23 year old man I've never seen before digging to the bottom of the foam pit. I do not know how to describe the fear a father feels when hearing this man call my son pretty. In the end my son inhaled so much mold and mice droppings form the foam pit that he ended up with Hentavirus in the ER. It took two months for him to return to school from this . HOOSIER HIGHETS IS LUCKY I DONT FILE A LAW SUIT. DONT LET YOUR KIDS NEAR THIS PLACE
Keith Byron: Our teenage son wanted to do a climbing party as part of his birthday celebration, so we scoped out Hoosier Heights. Totally worth it. We had a room of climbing walls all to ourselves, but the party could go out to the main area (together) and use the walls there. The staff was friendly and helpful. This was a great experience. Gender is unimportant with this activity. And I’m kinda outta shape, but when I climbed, I had a lot of fun, myself.
Grant Dunnuck: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueMediocre gym, but that water pressure is amazing!
Chris Green: my favorite indoor climbing spot. Big enough that you wont run out of walls to climb until you dont have the strength to climb anymore.
Josh Orendi: 7 year old daughter loved it. We climbed together for about 90 minutes. Lots of climbing wall options for beginners. Good quality rental equipment in decent condition. No lines on the Saturday afternoon that we went. She had a smile on her face the whole time. We used a BOGO coupon in the Indy Discovery book. I’m sure we’ll come back. Fun day.
Dustin Goad: Great exercise and fun, for all ages and prices are fair too. Would recommend!
Dan F: This gym has s combination of bouldering (lots and lot of bouldering), belay, and lead rope. The difficulty definitely ranges, I would not say this is necessarily a beginner's gym for bouldering but it's friendlier to beginner than other climbing gyms I have been to as far as difficulty. The atmosphere: the staff are friendly and laid back. The gym is massive and has an old feeling to it, more lightning would be nice. There is a workout space for members upstairs. There is plenty to experience and try for this gym, I definitely recommend it.
Summer Steenburg: We’ve been climbing here for a few months now. My son loves it. Each and every staff member has been kind! They recently added an auto belay wall with larger grips on them which are great for my stiff hands. They also got new harnesses which fit my larger size better. It is a very inclusive environment that has made getting back into exercise fun, challenging and in an accepting environment. Excellent staff. Great facility!
Natalia H: Great facility! Solid balance between bouldering, auto’s, & ropes. Educated staff
Brian White: Not enough rubber ducks. Otherwise, great gym and great people.
aaron russell: It's a great workout, but doesn't have to be.
Nics3451: First off, the staff at this location is great. The gym had a lot of room and the snake is a great attraction. My partner and I came from out of town to boulder and to climb the snake. My rating is based on the setup of the boulder problems and the small amount of space dedicated to bouldering. The problems are set up with mixed color holds with a different color tape beside them, making it very hard to find what route goes where - especially when you're already on the wall and can't see the tape. We we constantly finding we had used the wrong holds. This gym also has ninja training obstacles, but they're only available to members, so that was a bit of a bummer.

EPIC Climbing and Fitness: what do users think?
toozinger: Great gym for lead, top rope, and bouldering (as well as various workout equipment). I particularly like the lead cave, with a variety of routes from 5.10 - to ~5.13.
Mitch Renfro: Epic Climbing and Fitness is one of the best climbing gyms I've visited in a long time, and glad to be a new member. From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted by a friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The atmosphere is great, with plenty of space for climbers of all levels. One thing that really stood out to me was the quality of the route setting. The routes were challenging, dynamic, and there were plenty of options for climbers of all abilities. In addition to the great climbing, Epic offers a variety of amenities to its members. There's a weight room, cardio machines, and a yoga studio, so you can work on your overall fitness as well as your climbing skills.Overall, I would highly recommend Epic to anyone looking for a great climbing gym. The friendly staff, excellent route setting, and variety of amenities make it a top-notch facility. Whether you're a seasoned climber or just starting out, you're sure to find something to love at Epic Climbing and Fitness.
Cindi: Great vibe! The setting was good and there are tons of walls to work on. Routes and problems had good movement. Grading was pretty spot on in my opinion.
Sandy Shackelford Kuzniar: Very family friendly
Daniel Smith: Stopped by here on a visit to Indy. Overall a great place to get some climbing in! Friendly staff and some fun routes. I found the boulder and route marking systems left something to be desired, especially for someone new to the gym and with limited time on my hands.
Jessica C: Staff was super friendly and informative. Even played a game of ping pong with them. Wonderful rock climbing gym. The one in our hometown is smaller so we really enjoyed the space!
Patrick Stratton: Epic is such a great climbing gym! I've been to all the climbing gyms in Indy at this point and Epic is by far my favorite. The staff is always friendly, helpful and engaged, and the routes are fun and challenging for every level. Awesome experience, highly recommend.
Greg Baynham: Such a positive environment from both members and staff! Makes this old dude feel young again! Better than any drug
Cman Smitty: Lots of great rope space, however if you are looking for weights or bouldering, this is not the place for you as it is very limited in these aspects.
Jonathan Jehle: Epic is a gym full of climbers, not just a climbing gym!
Corey Anderson: Took our college wrestling team there. Had a blast, great instructor, and tons of wall options from beginner to advance.
Ken Hsieh: This place is great for experienced climbers. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Shout out to Luke for all your help! Thank you for a great climbing experience.
Merideth Smith: Great gym, staff are friendly and encouraging. Lots of route variations with some fun features. Not that many auto belays but great top rope and lead options. Friendly and great gym for beginners or experienced climbers
Colin Runnion: Great gym for climbers. Staff was fantastic and the community was friendly. Guy at the gym offered to belay. Setting was really good and offered good challenge!
Jared D: I was traveling through the area, Epic was close by so figured I'd check in out. Staff is terrific, great facility, and well designed routes for every skill level. Would recommend and I will be back!
Hateonmeko: Love this place. Gavin has been my go to guy for advice and techniques. Helped me with a smooth process in my classes and also got my climbing to the next level. Dennis is very knowledgeable on all subject as well but especially crack climbing. Gave me a book on all the grips, grabs and holds I’ll ever need on them. All the staff overall is great. Very friendly and easy to talk to.
Becky Chandler: The young men working the day we were there ( Sunday, Nov. 27th) were so nice and kind. They were patient, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. We had a young man with us with special needs, and they helped and trained and he was able to climb and loved it. They have a special class for special needs starting in December. Well worth the money and the effort for our grandkids. Good family fun.
Mark Mcnutt: Dang....this is an awesome climbing gym. I randomly stopped here a few months ago while passing through town and was thoroughly impressed. Amazing staff....decent variety of climbs, and the auto-belay routes are great for when you are solo. This place is clean, nice bathrooms with showers and lockers.Just wished they had more moderate routes you could do laps on to get more endurance pump before you juice out....cheers m8s!
HairAddict Bri: It’s very fun! Tried it for the first time and I will definitely go again. Staff is awesome! Regulars were even helpful.
Raj Aiyar: I took the Intro to Climbing class. We learned to tie in with the double figure 8 knot and to belay using the PBUS method on ATC. Susan spent time individually to clean up our technique and establish confidence.
Michael Alequin: Had a great first time here. Super helpful staff who were super friendly as well. Would recommend

Climb Time Indy: what do users think?
Iain: If I could give 0 stars I would. Arrived tonight and staff informed us we needed to learn how to work the ropes to help our children 2 9 year Olds and 2 12 year Olds. They did a 2 min overview and there were about 6 people working just 'hanging out,' behind the counter. If you are cool paying and doing everything yourself while the 'staff,' sits around and watches YouTube then its a perfect fit. Also prior to going tried calling multiple times...weeks ago, to get more information and phone automatically goes to a full voicemail box. When we mentioned that the staff just said "yea are phones are broke at the moment."
Les Bagley: We did an overnight with our troop. Boys had a blast.
John Bunch: I love rock climbing. Was in Indianapolis and wanted to try a new place. The set up is basic and confusing. The wall is way too cluttered. The routes are color coded by color tape under each block. Very confusing cause u can't see the tape when ur on the wall to see where u can step
Krista H: Great place to take the kids and get an introduction to climbing. The staff is knowledgeable and helped us learn, faculty is clean and nice. Great value for the price but I do wish there was a bit more to do inside the facility as far as climbing options. It can fill up witn people fast
Nick Kane: #1 place in Indy to get Strong for rock climbing. They have the largest quantity of steep bouldering/climbing wall angles. Climbing at CTI builds POWER, core strength, and an understanding of how to limit boulder/project not offered anywhere else in the city. I have improved as a climber thanks to Climb Time Indy.
David F: Great place to go and climb. Staff is very friendly and willing to help out whenever needed. The price is pretty good too.My only complaint is that it's small and they don't have many of the auto belays so being there alone can be difficult
Zach Hughes: You get what you pay for!
debra jackson-clapham: Not the best experience. It was empty but because we rang earlier they informed us they could not accommodate us. So only 2 children and 2 adults climbed in an empty place, rest of the children went else where after being consoled.
Dan F: This gym has a combination of belay, bouldering, and lead rope (if I remember correctly). There are more belay problems than bouldering. The majority of their bouldering problems are in the small cave they have in the middle of the gym.The atmosphere: the staff are really chill and relaxed, and the gym itself feels old but still has plenty to offer. The problems: I would not say this gym is a beginner's gym for bouldering, the problems can be rather difficult even at a v0-v2. The belaying problems seem really fun and interesting to send. The price is reasonable for what they have to offer. There are not any changing or locker rooms, just a bathroom.
Andrew P: Best gym in the Midwest!
Nicole: I come to climb time Indy every week because I am dedicated to rock climbing and I love everything about it plus jake a worker there is super nice. ❤️❤️I love this place!
Neil Clark: This place is great. Clean, friendly and helpful staff, kid friendly. My son has become obsessed with climbing, and we're now going twice a week.
McKatelyn Lawson: So much fun and a great workout
David Durica: Had a great first time experience with my 7 year old. She loved it; was able to reach the top of 6 walls. Offered a great variety of difficulty levels, and 4 walls with the self belay set up. Bonus: the pass was good for the day, so we were able to leave and come back same day.
Jennifer Lindemood: Amazing environment. I was a first timer and the guy working at the shop was amazing. Such a welcoming experience.
Tim Irwin: Awesome place and people.
Izzy Indahizzy: Way more challenging than I was expecting. Having a partner is highly recommended to experience all they have to offer. Very laid back environment and once they show you the ropes (pun intended) you're free to climb as much as your heart desires (or as long as your grip strength holds out). There were three auto rope systems where climbers could climb solo and plenty of ropes where a partner is required. Bouldering is lots of fun as is just watching the experienced climbers make everything look easy.
Carlos Parodi: Radical, must visit.
T Smith P: Cheap for a reason. Staff only did bare minimum. Did not feel welcome in space.
Legofan13: Decent place if you're into rock climbing
Warren Heise: Lots of options for all abilities. The staff was friendly and helpful.

North Mass Boulder: what do users think?
Jesse Walker: Great people and great entertainment
Margaret Henney: I joined NMB in January and - this may sound like hyperbole - but this gym has helped me get back to myself in the most powerful, life-changing way! The facilities are fantastic, impeccably clean, and I'm a big fan of the co-working space when I need to get out of my house/office (love the salads). I usually come to walk/lift and use the great sauna in the women's locker room, but I'll also drop in on some classes from time to time and they never disappoint (challenging and fun). But the real stand-out part of NMB is the general vibe/atmosphere: it's welcoming, relaxed and incredibly encouraging (that goes for the staff and members). It just feel so comfortable that I find I genuinely enjoy going to the gym - which makes sticking to my healthy habits easy. THANK YOU for this incredible addition to the Indy community :)
Devi: This is a very cool concept gym. Keep in mind, bouldering is SO much harder than it looks. It’s about $20 for a day pass, and you sign a few digital waivers before getting started. To climb, you need to wear specific climbing shoes. Your first time here they rent the shoes to you for free, but after that it’s $5.There are open wooden cubbies that you can leave your stuff in. The people at the front are so helpful and easy to talk to if you have any questions! The cafe upstairs is a nice spot to rest and maybe work on your laptop. The actual drinks and food were meh honestly. I got a smoothie and a muffin. The smoothie did taste like “health” but also powdery. The muffin was very dry.
nathan k: Come in the mornings if you want to climb.Decent atmosphere but almost unusable from 5pm through 9pm. Large sections (at least half today) of the rock wall will be blocked off by climbing groups. Not sure if this is a specific activity/training session put on by the gym or if it's just large private groups. Either way, they make it nearly impossible to climb.Edit: pics added as reference. Note the 100% full cubbies and the fully claimed side walls from large groups.
Katie Ryan: Love this place so much! Staff is friendly and helpful, plenty of room even with a crowd. Love the little shop located inside. Plenty of options from climbing and weights to cardio and yoga.
Jeremy Abbott: We did a combined 5 and 7 year old birthday party here and all the kids agreed this was the most fun party they had ever been to. We opted to have an instructor lead the kids and that was absolutely the right choice. The instructor was fantastic and did a great job leading the kids. The private party room was the ideal setting for the kids to have a ton of fun. After the kids got comfortable in the party room, they went out and climbed on top of the big boulders. All-around it was a perfect birthday party. Highly recommended for the 4-10 year old crowd.
Pauline Pauwels: Hello, this gab and Paul, respect plzClimbing is good for spirit and a hot bod. That’s a fact. But at this gym , the spirit is spoiled by some ugly bods. That’s a fact. Please answer, this is an emergency .Gab and Paul signing out, respect🇺🇸
Lyse Rocleder: This place is Awesome! I stopped here while on a long road trip. The facilities are top notch and the staff is super friendly. This place has everything you’d want in the climbing gym: great route setting, a nice workout area, various training boards, and even an in-house cafe.
Max K: No exense was spared on purchasing quality equipment and furnishings. Gym is chock-full of amenities. Sauna is great. Plenty of free classes in Yoga and others. High class facility even if you don't boulder, and the de facto best gym if you climb.
Chase La Bonne: I’ve never been to a better gym than north mass . I moved to Colorado recently and no gym comes close to this atmosphere . Fun engaging problems for all levels of climbers , a spotless gym , great for a coffee date or work outing , grab a beer after climbing or just hangout and watch tv . They have gym equipment , a studio room for more dynamic movements , an outdoor area , a cafe and of course , an AMAZING bouldering area . 10/10 everyone should attend .
Forrest: I used to come for the yoga classes, but for some reason they laid off most of the professional instructors that had been teaching here. Where did Isabelle and the others go? They used to all know me and my friends by name, and they always made sure to accommodate for our limitations. This is honestly a shell of what it used to be.
Michael Cody: A gym with free towels and keyless lockers? Absolutely perfect for anyone cramming a session in before work or in between work meetings.Great route setting and clean space. Highly recommend.
Daniel Stephens: This is the best value in Indy for people who want to be active among a community of like-loving humans. I feel loved & greeted with care by everyone who works & exists here. Thanks for existing
Adam Rodkey: Very nice/personable staff. TONS of problems, clean facility, even when it's super busy you can still get on plenty of boulders.
Ryan Young: This place has everything one might need to work, sweat, and laugh. From free weights, classes of all kinds, cardio machines, to of course a massive bouldering gym. This place will give you a workout for sure. After your are finished, head up to the Top Out Cafe for some yummy food and beers. Not to mention, they now have their own North Mass Bouldering beer. If you are looking for a place to take your kids, they have a kid play room too. If your children are over 10 years old, they might not like the kids room for them being too big. Be sure to check out their court yard on warmer days as they do different events. Lastly, I was able to attend a bouldering competition and those climbers are amazing! Highly recommended throughout!Update: I returned a few months later and decided to try some sticky chicken wings and a nitro cold brew from the Top Out Cafe inside North Mass Bouldering. The wings were huge and very delicious. The nitro brew was full flavored and just the right amount of perk! I stopped to watch the design team rework some of the routes on the main climbing floor. It was like watching art in action. This place is truly unique.
Sam Zack: Basically my second home, nothin but love for this place ✨
R Bai (Tornado): Great place for bouldering! Fun route setting. Friendly environment for all people. Topout cafe is also great for chatting and working. The food, coffee and beer there is also great.
ifty Media: Bangladesh
Michael “Riley” Watts: This place has been a lifesaver to this city and has made a safe space for all (LGBTQ+) to come too. Some words that come to mind our inclusive, welcoming, and bound and determined to get up those rocks! Some days I spend hours working and conversating with some incredible individuals! Their co working space is so amazing! They cater to all needs. If it was not for North Mass Boulder I wouldn’t of stayed in Indy! Also, they have incredible staff that deeply cares about everyone. Y’all are spreading so much love in this city that needs it! 😘 🏳️‍🌈
Jeffrey Alperovich: Great atmosphere, fantastic route setting, and solid vibes all around!
A R: Good setting and nice problems, could have more routes set on the walls.Great Finnish sauna and a delicious food selectionCleanness of showers could improve though.
