Coat Check Coffee: what do users think?
Samantha Ayres: One of the best coffee spots in town! The butterscotch latte is top notch.
Jamie Irwin: Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 2/5Recommended dishes BreakfastMore
Jeanna Little: There is a local artist who does work here, John Vazquez. Must stop in here if only to see his work.Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Angela T: I had a (hot) latte and hubby the butterscotch - both were very good and the ambiance was chill. We had a seat by the window and sipped our coffee as we people watched
Harsha S: We stopped by here for breakfast after walking over from AirBnB. The entrance was quite inviting with a staircase leading up to the cafe. The color palette was this old rustic sort of feeling. The actual cafe was very similar to a coat check area; it was an interesting concept to say the least. It was quite packed when we arrived so we had to wait in line for a few minutes before ordering. I wish there was a QR code or something to access the menu or view before we got to the front of the line. There were a few paper handouts at the front of the line so we were able to quickly glance to figure out what we wanted. We went for a croissant, Pistachio Latte, and a Butterscotch Latte. We had a little difficulty trying to find seating and didn’t feel comfortable walking up with lattes up the staircase so we found some seating to the side (benches) where we could sit. We had a chance to read up on the history of breweries in Indianapolis especially around the Prohibition Era that was quite interesting. The croissant and lattes were delicious. After finishing, we took some time to walk up the stairs where we found more seating, a bar area, and art pieces. We walked around there and observed all the different items. I definitely recommend everyone checkout Coat Check if they’re in Indy!
Eric Largy: Was a good place for a latte & start my day.
Meredith Blakey: I ordered an iced demerara latte when I visited for the first time a couple weekends ago and I've been craving it ever since! I had a few underwhelming coffee experiences recently, but this one was SO GOOD! There's a lot of seating available and the barista was friendly and helpful. I also ordered a brown butter chocolate chip cookie with sea salt and that was great too. I wish it hadn't taken me so long to try Coat Check and can't wait to go again soon.
Scott McDonald: Coffee was amazing.
Ashlyn Bedonie: Worst place! Over priced coffee and terrible service. No seats and very quite. You're better off trying to drink Starbucks at a library.
April Santiago: Wonderful and quality service, staff and food/beverages! Great place for a quick/casual business meeting, place to study or work!
Eduardo Navarro: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Medha Kulkarni: Coat Check Cafe is a fantastic spot to grab some coffee or a bite to eat. I tried their Butterscotch Latte, Croissant, and Caprese, and was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food and drink. The latte was especially delicious, with a rich and creamy butterscotch flavor that was perfectly balanced with a hint of orange. The Caprese was also outstanding, with fresh mozzarella, pesto, and balsamic glaze all coming together to create a delicious and satisfying dish. The Croissant was flaky and buttery, with just the right amount of crunch. While I think Coat Check Cafe is definitely worth a visit, I must admit that the prices are quite steep. As a college student, I found the rates to be a bit unreasonable, and I think that this may be a deterrent for some potential customers.Additionally, I found their two-hour policy to be a bit perplexing. As a cafe, I would expect that Coat Check would be a place where people can come to study or work for extended periods of time. However, their policy seems to discourage this type of customer behavior, which I think is not very effective or customer-friendly. Overall, I still think that Coat Check Cafe is a great spot to check out, but their policies and prices may not be the best fit for everyone.
Philippe Bronchtein: This is a wonderful coffee shop in an incredibly unique space. Latte art was perfect and the barista was so kind. There was a patron doing Tarot readings on zoom with their computer volume all the way up, which to me, is unforgivable.Otherwise exceptional coffee shop. 10/10.
Bailey Murphy: The space was really cool and open, drink was delicious, and most of all the barista who took my order (didn’t catch his name but he had a mullet kind of haircut!) was very friendly and engaging and chatting with him while waiting for my drink made the experience pleasant!
Ila C: Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Sylva Zhang: Such a variety of seating options, and a large area to roam. Love to get a little work done after my workout at the Y.
Elizabeth m: This place is pricey (40 bucks for a bagel and coffee for two) but they had a bagel sandwhich (vegan pesto) here that was wayy worth the cost!! Unfortunitely this time around the sandwhich was put on a cheap hamburger bun instead of the usual crispy bagel, it tasted like canned tomatos were used instead of fresh like usual, and they forgot the vinaigrette that really elevates the sandwhich. I wish they would have told us they were out of most of the ingredients before we ordered, please bring this classic sandwhich back :( employees are nice though
Whitney Dawson: Loved their coffee and they had plenty of food options too!
Lily: Vegan options 👍Vegetarian options: Vegan bagel, sometimes vegan pastriesFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Vegan Breakfast Sandwich, Bagel and Schmear …More
G Fatima: 2nd visit to Coat Check Coffee after a year and the quality and ambience continue to surpass my expectations. The customer service is on par and the coffee is beyond any variety that I tried in Indiana. We tried Latte with miso, cardamom and a vegan bagel. The jalapeño paste with the impossible vegan patty and egg was a fusion taste explosion for our taste buds. We enjoyed the ambience on a very cold day and highly recommend the German history within the building.—————Oh my gosh! What did I stumble upon????Ambience - German, historic architecture. Open & spacious space, medieval era setup and beautiful details on every nook and corner of Coat Check. We were wowed by the little details.Coffee - Can I call out NIRVANA!? The speciality lattes are BOMB! butterscotch latte with the perfect hint of nuttiness and sweetness and the ginger latte with herbaceous notes of hibiscus and warmth of ginger. Let’s not forget the spice of chili de arbol! Wow just wow!Food - No I am not a coffee and food kinda person but today being a Sunday ordered Breakfast and Pesto Bialy sandwich. The schmear & flavors fell right in place. All in all highly recommend for work, stop by or enjoy a luxurious cup of coffee. Coat Check has my VOTE!Vegetarian options: Impossible vegan burgerParking: Street parking onlyDietary restrictions: Limited gluten free options
Avinash Prabhakar: Great coffee and food. Amazing staff. Would be the perfect place if there was more space to sit!

Isaac K: Literally the best coffee in Indy! It’s a shame it’s a little hidden away but it’s worth finding! Brews and blends on menu all the time that you won’t find anywhere else, each lovingly crafted by hand each time. The kitschy decor of antique coffee cans and advertising items creates a unique ambiance to be appreciated. If you’re a local coffee lover, this is the place to be!

Andy Rice: Really enjoyed my visit to Quills. Great coffee and atmosphere inside their shop.
Jama Bradfield: Ordered a cappuccino and got a latte. Was told that's how they make cappucinos there. Drink was good for a latte, but very, very wet for a cappuccino. Would recommend not ordering a cappuccino- or letting them know you want it really dry. Flavor was great, tho. Nice and clean. Bus bin was full and needed swapped, but not a big deal. Everyone seated was in conversation and seemed very content.
Francesco Perinelli: Excellent coffee, croissants and service. Clean and bright, open-concept tables arrangement. Baristas are always professional and cheerful! Unfortunately the lack of a pastry-warmer toaster-oven, in lieu of their microwave, is very disappointing as you face the choice of a crispy and buttery, room temperature, croissant or a mushy warm one..

Christy Marsh: Great little coffee spot in Indy. Such a yummy coffee! We are already planning the next trip back!Parking: There was street parking available right there.
Muhammad Khalifa: This Indy outpost of one of Kentucky's best roasters continues to live up to expectations in their new space. Several options on batch, espresso, and pour over and an even larger selection of whole beans in bags. Natural Honduran on espresso was good, pour over washed Ethiopian was also good (they're running a Marcos automated system over a Kalita Wave). Picked up bags of Koji processed Colombian and a Guatemalan-grown Gesha that I'm looking forward to trying at home! Cookies from 4Birds bakehouse and pastries from another place that I don't remember the name of round out a solid cafe menu.Parking: On-street 30min free parking next to shop

However, with that having been said, drink quality varies greatly, from tasting different to being hot to lukewarm. Bee Coffee Roasters: what do users think?
Mark Senesac: Quaint shop tucked into the corner of a shopping plaza. We walked into the aroma of fresh brewed coffee, mismatched furniture (that really seemed to fit well together), and very friendly and helpful staff. We looked over the menu, and then requested if they would be able to make a drink that wasn’t on the menu. They were more than happy to and it was the best drink I have ever had. We usually order iced caramel macchiatos from the National chain, but they made us an iced latte with sugar free caramel with sugar free sweetener. Their coffee shines through without the bitter or acidic taste of most. It is the most pleasant caramel coffee drink I have ever had, and plan to visit again when I am in town. I can’t recommend Bee Coffee Roasters highly enough. A little cliché, but they are the Bee’s knees!
Stephanie Mercado: Love the environment. Always relaxing and the staff is amazing!
Rojo Colorado: Excellent drinks and service. It’s a place to take a few minutes to relax and have a properly prepared beverage. Top shelf.
Hotclips The Educator: I been to this place three days in a row! I really enjoy the art on the walls and my favorite chi tea latte with lavender and vanilla! It’s kinda a secret maybe 🤫 but ask the owner why it’s is so good and flavorful. Also im a Starbucks drinker but once your sting 🐝 by the flavor of this coffee shop you won’t get coffee again from Starbucks all long as you are close to Bee Coffee Roasters. Oh yea I get paid nothing for this I just like the place you will too
Benjamin Koehler: Music: Fantastic selectionPeople: WonderfulCoffee: Delicious and full, with great aftertonesPlants: LovelyBees: not present, except in spiritExcellent coffee shop, I had a wonderful experience passing through and eavesdropping a bit on the workers
Daniel Buckley: Great coffee and muffin wish it had more seating. Came to have coffee with my son and a group of women had taken all the tables so there was no place to sit.
Lenisha C: Parking: Plenty of parking in the am.
Shanti Lall: Under new management and a new name soon. Still fantastic coffee!
Ali Kohlmeyer: Very good coffee in a neat space
Tyler Hergott: Lovely coffee shop with wonderful seasonal drinks. Staff is always informative and very friendly. If you’re looking for a local favorite to visit, this is definitely one you want to try out. Their signature honey bee latte is great either hot or iced!
Aaron C.: I LOVE Bee Coffee Roasters. Their roasts are perfect for pour overs and their menu always has lots of options.
Sydney Klemeks: DELICIOUS iced Thai coffee with oat milk. Would definitely get that every day if I lived in Indianapolis, but I was just passing through.Barista was cute, too 😘Parking: Plenty of parking, it's located in a strip mall.
E E: My favorite coffee place in Indy! The coffee is so smooth !!
sindhu pathak: Call ahead, they may not be open even if it says they are and are supposed to be on the door
Dick Young: I'm coffee-picky, and we were on our way through Indy and looking for a coffee shop that wasn't a chain. Bee fit the bill, and the Americano made with Mexico Teotepic was great! Thanks to the young lady running the shop for recommending it!
Carla Knapp: For years now, Bee Coffee has been my favorite local roaster, hands down! I used to frequent the downtown location, but since they had to close that cafe, I make it a point to stop here anytime I'm in the area to stop to get my caffeine fix. You'll find all the coffee standards on the menu when you just need the basic beverage, but when I want to splurge a bit, their seasonal drink list is always where I look. Recently I tried a ruby latte that included red rose petals and beet powder (I think), two ingredients I would not have thought to put together into a latte yet it was amazing!Inside the cafe, the staff is super friendly. I also love that they’re a little nerdy (just like me). And because their awesome people who support the community, they also feature/sell the works of local artists. When I can't make it to their cafe, I also brew Bee Coffee at home. Their variety of coffee beans is incredible and it seems like they have a flavor profile to fit every person’s tastes — from fruity and light to chocolatey and rich plus everything in between. They even have a bourbon barrel-aged coffee that is oh so smooth.
Jane Robbins: Not only did the coffee taste excellent, the gals behind the counter were fabulous.Dine in: No Takeout: Yes …More
Stewart Green: Happy to support small roasters, very good espresso flavorDine in: No …More
SM Sullivan: Made it once. A definite go to in Indy.

Cups Coffee Bar: what do users think?
Cekena Cattato (Cekena): Coffee tasted great but the soup I got during lunch time was cold.
Prasad Nair: Delicious coffee and lots of options, including soups and baked goods. The service is quick.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Gerard Ganaden: I just had THE best tuna sandwich ever from the Keystone location! I don't know what they put in it but it is unlike any tuna salad I have ever tasted!
Melissa Roland: Super sweet people good prices. A little hard to find but worth it.
Lainey M Bowen: 4-26-2022I ended up getting a Grande (20oz.) Caramel Sensation with oatmilk and it tastes phenomenal! The end price was $6.10 so if you want a higher priced coffee then this is your way to go. I just got this because it was the closest and I wanted to try something new, defnitely not disappointed. Staff was very friendly. Enter off the Illinois side and you’ll find it right inside the doors. They do have two service desks I presume for help, they are very nice also. The little hole in the wall shop was very well kept & clean.
Indiana Notary Public: Friendly staff and fresh hot coffee
Kristen Lavy: Great and friendly staff with great coffee to match! Highly recommend stopping by. Even early, they welcome you in with a smile!
Angel F.: I love this place! Great coffee and great people!
Angel F: Great spot, friendly waiters, delicious coffee.
Damascus Steel: I go here every day and I just love and adore their coffee and friendly staff!
Marlo Mcneil: I LOVE CUPS COFFEE BAR! When i say i love cups, i mean I LOVE CUPS! With a convenient downtown location, an amazingly friendly staff and some delicious fresh brewed coffee cups is my one stop shop for a wonderful coffee shop experience. I visit almost every morning thats how much i enjoy this place! As mentioned, all of the staff at cups are friendly and the way they treat customers is a true reflection of grace's (one of the owners) attitude! The coffee selection is huge! They brew several different kinds a day and the list is always changing! A few of my favorites are vanilla nut, cinnamon hazelnut and frangelica but they are all tasty! Dont be afraid to ask for a sample taste, they are more than willing to accomodate! If you dont like coffee, they have a nice selection of teas and refreshers as well as regular sodas and water. They have all of the specialty drinks that you would expect to see at a coffee shop including mochas, lattes and blended drinks so there is definitely something for everyone! Did i mention they have food? They have breakfast food (pastries, muffins, bagels) they have lunch food (soups, sandwhiches) and they have snacks (protien bars, granola bars, yogurt, fresh fruit and veggies/dip). If you visit, try one of their amazing muffins warmed up! You wont be sorry! Overall, cups is great place to stop for a morning pick me up. I have not had a single bad experience here and i love that this is a local business. Shop local and support cups ☕💗
Chris Leland: Great coffee served by really great people at fair prices. I got coffee here almost every weekday for two years before my office relocated. I wish I could still visit.
Lauren Childers: Not open on Saturday or Sunday WTH!!!!!
Steve Henke: Great cafe selection of food and drinks, and friendliest staff in Indy!
Debbie Lane: Great coffee and danish and nice people.

Hubbard & Cravens Coffee: what do users think?
Jacob Lafever: Decent coffee shop, vibes are sort of chain-y. Coffee was good, although when I asked for a bit of milk in my (half empty at that point) coffee the barista literally filled it to the brim with milk (????). So I had a cup of milk with some coffee in it. Otherwise a decent spot if you need some coffee and a place to sit.
Akira German: My goodness this coffee is absolutely delicious! The customer service was great here. Edit: The CDevine! Is my go to drink and is very similar to the Carmel macchiato. I just recently tried the Lavender white mocha and my gosh, is devine! With just enough lavender 💜
Matthew Haggard: Best coffee in the city. Hands down.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
小笹智之: 美味しいコーヒーでしたまた行かなきゃ
Prasad Nair: Good coffee and service. Would like to come back again. The White Chocolate Mocha is delicious.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jonathan Roberts: Cozy little coffee shop with amazing atmosphere. Walked up and the barista helped me pick a drink since I wasn't sure what I was looking for, and the matcha peppermint latte turned out stellar. Highly recommend for either grabbing a cuppa to go or for hunkering down to study.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Layla Lenhardt: Hubbard and Cravens has the best muffins and drinks! The barista Caleb was so helpful and personable, he definitely made my experience excellent! He made a great London Fog, I highly recommend. I will be back!
David Savage: The service was good and the espresso was decent but the cappuccino wasn't a cappuccino.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Mackenzie Flamion: Love Hubby C! Delicious muffins, wonderful coffee and fast, friendly baristas. You'll find their coffee at multiple local restaurants in Broad Ripple which is a testament to its flavor. They also have a great selection of sugar free syrupsFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Carla Garza: Really good coffee we loved the cinnamon rolls!
Tim Zange: Nice atmosphere, good coffee, quick service.
Krista Barikos: 10/10. Staff are great—attentive, kind, and helpful with drink recommendations. Coffee is amazing and the pastries are to die for. Will be coming here again and again.
Elasah Klopfenstein: Ordered an iced vanilla latte and was very impressed with the quality and taste. I am always wary of trying new coffee shops in fear that the coffee will be bitter or weak, but Hubbard and Cravens did not disappoint!
Erik Deckers: I have missed this place so much. It was my favorite coffee shop when I lived in Indianapolis, and I came back for a visit, it was the first place I went to. Everything looks great, nothing is changed too much, and the lattes are still excellent.
Sirena Dudgeon: Super cute place, live music, cozy, yummy coffee, sweet service
James Hall: I had a fantastic drink later this morning. Atmosphere is nice. Staff were nice. All-around great visit. Will be back!
