With my firstborn, we lived in Houston and we got a family session including all digital images and photo editing for $250. After moving to IN, we were unfamiliar with the photographers in Carmel/Indy, so I asked my husband to look for and select one. He chose Maike Rinaye after seeing $200 on her website but he didn't inquire as to what that included. That was just to have the pictures taken. It cost an additional $649 to get the digital images and $15/per image for editing (removing baby acne..). For that amount of money, we could have flown to Houston for vacation, gotten my hair and makeup done and had money left over for a photo session there. Or I could have bought a professional camera and taken the pictures myself since there weren't any elaborate backgrounds, poses, etc.

She had her own ideas and took some of our ideas. Easy to work with. My favorite part about her is that she was able to capture the moment. The main thing I looked for with a photographer is I didn't want the pictures to look posed. And she did exactly that!!! His book by the hour option allowed us to get the coverage we desired without having to book a “gold” or “premium” package that was out of our budget. His flexibility to book a second photographer for the number of hours we wanted was also great. Both Larry and Leilani were so laid back and easy to get along with, while still maintaining full professional behavior. Larry did great at giving my girls a quick posing tutorial to ensure everyone looked their best and when doing family pictures he did everything he could to make sure everyone was happy with how they looked. They captured all of the shots we asked for on top of some awesome shots that they suggested. They fought through tough lighting in an outdoor early afternoon wedding in the middle of summer and still managed to make the photos look amazing. There is not a single photo we didn’t love! To top it off, Larry delivered our photos in an online gallery only 3 days after the wedding!! The fact that he gives you the license to the pictures so you can upload them to social media and have them printed wherever you want is also such a deal maker in my opinion. Larry and Leilani were awesome to work with and I’m so glad we booked them for our wedding.
