A Johnson: Priscilla has been breeding for years and is a true asset to the preservation of the breed. I have purchased all of my Akitas from her and would not even consider for a moment going elsewhere. Her love and dedication to this majestic breed shows in the quality, and personality of her dogs, because of Priscilla , I had that once in a lifetime dog, Bravo. I will never be able to repay her for giving me my best friend for 13 years.

Rachel Springer: Very nice, love how they tell you about the puppies and I’m glad we got our kreature from here love him already
Nick Morrison: These guys are serious about only breeding show quality dogs. Very responsible breeding practices. Seriously think the owner likes dogs more than people.Update: MMK is still putting out best-in-class dogs. Stay tuned for a Hella x Fenrir cross.
Brian Sanford: I got my dog from Monster Makers, and she couldn't be a better match for us! All of the dogs they raise are great family dogs, and with the initial training they get I didnt have any trouble with the transition to my home. It's clear that Chris has a passion for these dogs, as they all look healthy and happy, full of energy. When I decide to grow the family again Monster Makers will be my first choice.
Chris Brown: What can I say? We are the best of the best..nothing has changed. :)
Sherry Raborn: My husband and I could not be more happy with our American Bully. CREATURE is a great addition to our family. He is wonderful with children even babies. Thank you Chris for our baby boy. Chris knows his 4 legged family very well and takes pride in his quality of American bullys. He is very professional and tells you all about the history and blood line to your new family member. Again Chris thank you for our sweet boy CREATURE.
Nate M: Well what can I say about monster maker kennels... this journey started about 7 months ago with my first puppy from Chris I was actually on my way to another kennel in Kentucky and received a message about mmk so I reached out and spoke with him on the phone for an hour or more and told him I was literally leaving to go to Kentucky to pick up a puppy and he offered for me to stop by and just check out his kennel and at the very least just add another contact in the American bully dream that I am still in very early stages of creating so made the stop not only do I believe it was the best decision I made but I walked in to a very well ran kennel with some of the most amazing dogs I've actually seen on hand so we ended up purchasing Scarlett due to his dogs had hands down the best temperament and training that I have seen and continue to see this far. So I've had Scarlett for 6ish months now and she's one of the best dogs that I have had she's honestly the sweetest toward everyone and other animals... I've passed on recommendations to anyone and everyone everytime we are stopped and talked to about how amazing she looks or how well mannered or even just the small I love you dog compliments which happen at the very least 2 or 3 times a day but I need to give credit where credit is due he is very passionate about his animals and a very superior breeder... so far we have the one I purchase that day I spoke about and we currently also have a co own just lookin to expand into the dream I had he's was the very first block on that foundation so, "if your looking look no more he's got them pupps".
Kiersten Mcdonald: I got my beautiful healthy pup Alpha from these guys! Would definitely recommend him for all your American bully needs!
Dustin Mathis: Great family of Dogs. Great owner. Really good training and all around great business. I highly recommend
Tony C: From the initial contact with Chris through the completion of purchase, the experience was amazing. Chris was always very quick to communicate and more than willing to talk and answer any questions we had. The puppy we picked up is amazing! Great temperament, fantastic conformation and very loving! We'll be back to grow our Monster family at some point! I'll let the photobranch speak for itself.
Nena Galaxy: We couldn't find a better place to get our dog! Chris is very professional, knowledgeable and you can see that he actually cares about the dogs. Will recommend him to anyone who wants to purchase a quality, beautiful and smart bully!
S F: Amazing dogs! Most impressed with the temperament of the adults as well as his puppies. Lots of care put into making these monsters!
michael smith: Positive:Quality,Reliability,Value

bootsnbooze: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ResponsivenessGreat looking dogs! From Leslie and Brian Gayhart ❤
Markim Mathis: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ReliabilityChris is a very professional breeder and a great guy to do business with. I’ve had two pups through him and he’s all about trying to raise the perfect specimens and most well behaved bullies in the state! Not to mention how well he services his customers! Easily one of the only kennels i’d recommend to ANYONE!
Elizabeth bayne: Positive:Professionalism,Reliability,ResponsivenessChris is helping me train my dog . he’s very good at communication & I highly recommend his services!!!!!
Avery Harris: Man thank you Monster Maker Kennel! I got my Bronn from them and he is beautiful! Strong, muscular, and well breaded and produced breed! Chris is very knowledgable about the Bully breed! Very family oriented and protective of the family! Love my dog and when time comes will get my next 1 and the rest from Monster Maker Kennel...
Mary Haupt: Helpful, knowledgeable friendly
Scott Thompson: My family and I cannot thank Chris enough for providing us with the best puppy that I've ever seen. Chris is so knowledgeable that I felt like I was working with a PHD through the entire purchase process. He and his family are some of the finest quality people that I've met since moving back into the state 4 years ago. With regards to our puppy, I’m 53 and have had many dogs throughout my life but never a bully breed. My son has wanted an American Bully for many years but we could never talk my wife into it as she was one of the many whose opinion has been skewed by the media. The only dogs that we've had since married 25 years ago have been Siberian Huskies. She was totally against the idea but, since bringing our old baby home at 4 months of age, she has totally fallen in love with him. She is with him all day while my son is at work and has taught this brilliant puppy many tricks. He is amazingly well behaved, completely in love with everyone he meets, is best buddies with my husky girl, and is incredible with my grandson. I can't wait to see how big he gets. It's been approximately 1 month since we brought him home and, at 5 months old, he is already 45 pounds of solid muscle! This is THE only person that I would consider referring friends and family to should they be considering this breed for their next addition to the family! Thanks so much Chris!!!

John Wilhoyte: Loved it. Our Ade is a little over 8 years old now and I honestly do not think we have ever had a better behaved dog. My hope is that they're still breeding there.
Christie McCauley: Breeding is highly unethical considering how many shelters are OVER capacity and have to euthanize dogs — including German Shepherds — every day. For “the love of the breed”, reach out to a rescue. Save a dogs life AND save yourself $1,000.
Panther Lorrine: Never got a response
Cassandra Decker: Great experience and found the perfect pup for our family. He is so smart. This is my 3rd GSD and first from VonDietrich and I am not disappointed.
Todd Harlson: We bought our pup at 8 weeks old from a breeder Rick Gustin an was told he had all shots an etc states my dog is his father but Rick guston is a liar an theif he charged us 1000 on him an he was so very sick of worms an etc u might wanna be more chooseful who you breed with my pup costed us over 160 a week for the first two months to get him rightPUPDATEOUR SHEPERD SHADOW IS NOW A YEAR AND 2 MONTHS NOW AND LOOK AT HIM NOW rotten as all get and a all around very happy dog and wouldn't change him for the world ❤
Alyssia Strange: Positive:Professionalism,ResponsivenessVery informative and very friendly people. Got a chance to meet and chat with the owner and head trainer and they were AWESOME! Didn't feel rushed or pressured and they answered all of our questions. We found our future pup and can't wait to finalize the process and bring him home. Thank you again for a wonderful experience!!
Mads White: We love VonDietrich’s new trainer, Megan!Short review: In four weeks, Megan helped our German shepherd overcome so much of his anxiety. In particular his behavior at the vet. He is a more confident and reliable dog after training and we are so grateful to Megan for her skills, kindness, and time spent with our fur baby.Long review: We got our German shepherd when he was a puppy and he always had restraint anxiety. He had bad board and train experience which made our dog’s anxiety get to a point where he couldn’t calm down when stimulated. Things like going on a walk or hike turned into full blown whining meltdowns where he could not listen to his commands and because of that could not calm down. He would have to be muzzled and fully sedated to have his vet check up.Fast forward to Megan. We asked her to work on his vet behavior followed by his walking in public places.Megan has an education and experience training horses and dogs, including German Shepherds. She has worked with dogs with anxiety and has trained animals with vet procedures. We’ve had our boy home a few weeks now and his transformation has been amazing to see. We are able to cut his nails, give him practice shots at home, and walk him publicly- even in Lowes and UPS. These were training skills we hoped to see.Benefits of training we weren’t expecting were improvements in his attitude and confidence. He whines less, is more affectionate, and his behavior is more reliable. His good behavior for nail trimming has even been passed on to our other dog. Megan helped our dog become more confident. But also helped us become more confident handlers.Megan was responsive and understanding of our concerns and hopes. She is patient and kind to your dogs.We cannot recommend Megan enough. If any of this review resonates- do you and your dog a favor and go see Megan.
Maura Records: I got my German Shepherd from Von Dietrich in March of 2021 and I have zero regrets. He is almost a year old and is the most beautiful, intelligent dog I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. He’s goofy and sweet, but also mischievous. I couldn’t be happier with him and I’m excited to continue our adventures together! Thanks, Von Dietrich!
Terri Miller: I spoke with a great man on behalf of my friend looking for a German Shepherd. She chose to go with a breeder closer to home. However, speaking with the gentleman that answered the phone he was extremely intelligent regarding German shepherds and he had a great personality and went fully into detail regarding the German shepherds that he sells. Also, he was extremely helpful with giving me advice to give to my friend regarding who and where she buys her new German Shepherd from. It was nice speaking to him. However, no business was conducted with him but I do recommend him as a breeder he definitely knows all about German shepherds and I I could tell by the conversation that his dogs are well bred and come from an extremely great bloodline.
Antonio Jose: El señor Jeff es muy buena persona amable, es el dueño de Von Dietrich German shepard, tiene buenos cachorros de pastor alemán
Kevin Ankney: Jeff is a great individual. Their love of german shepherds breed and ensuring people are educated is evident from the first time you reach out to them. When you buy from them, you become part of their family. Any questions about your four legged companion in any aspect will be welcomed as well as stories of your adventures with the pup are welcomed.Jeff is the nicest and most caring person you will find.
Kristin Coryell: We love them. We was able to adopt the perfect puppy we have been looking for. Very affordable adoption fees. They love to find forever homes for all there animals.
SHANNON WILKERSON: Quality working line German shepherdsBred to be working /family protectors😎
Bailie Wallace: We were very please with this place very nice and the dogs are kept very well. And the health of the dogs is very good. We are highly satisfied. Will recommend to others if you looking for a good purebred German Sheppard.
Chien Mai: Critical:ResponsivenessI've contacted you twice about information on your puppies and prices and was thinking of purchasing a puppy but never got a response.
Richard Lawson: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueGot Smoke two years ago and couldn’t be more pleased. He is a big part of the family. Would definitely recommend.
Jason Greene: We had a great experience! Pictured is our 8 week old German Shepherd, Briscoe.
John Sluder: Critical:Professionalism,Reliability,ValueExpensive and not honest.
Trish J: Great informative website

Ouida Norris: Watson's Kennels is a home away from home for your pets. My pets trusted and loved them. Thank you Sue
Ayanna Thacker: Great Place! My Grand-Dog has a great time 🐕
Megan Reifenberg Ralston: We love Watson’s and so does our pup! Makes traveling so much more pleasant to know he is happy and well cared for.
Sean Rasor: This is a great place to leave your dog. Very clean!!! The owners are super friendly and really care about your dog. I would give them 6 stars if I could.
Jeannie Zurawski: Watson’s Kennels is wonderful!! Sue is amazing with our 2 boys. We know they are being well-cared for and will come home happy & healthy. Her facility is very clean. It’s a great setup for the dogs. It’s small so not stressful like the large boarding facilities. And besides their outdoor run area there is another nice outdoor area for them to run around & burn off some energy. They are happy when they arrive so I know they enjoy being there. Your fur babies will be in good hands at Watsons Kennels!!
Katie Johnson Kirkpatrick: Sue was wonderful with our little girl! Stella does not enjoy getting her nails trimmed from her previous experiences, but we saw her do Stella’s nails with no problem and they look great!
Brionna Slaughter: I recently boarded my dog Hazel (60lbs for size reference) with Sue for a week long trip, and it couldn't have gone better!!!!I have boarded with 6 other boarding facilities prior to Sue and have had issues with every other one. Sue is the first person to ever take care of my dog the way that I am comfortable with, and money was never even on my mind when looked for a place for her to stay. However, it is worth noting that Sue is surprisingly affordable so she really just wins all the way around!I felt like Sue really listened to me about concerns and nerves, and the best example of this is with Hazel's paws. I told her that she always ends up with cuts on her paws when boarding for some reason, and other places always miss it and one even told me with 100% confidence that she was in heat. My dog is spayed and was not in heat, she just had a cut paw. I didn't even ask her to do this, but Sue frequently checked Hazel's paws because of this concern! I had only mentioned it in case she found blood, but she decided to check throughout the week and Hazel never had any cuts!My dog cannot be with other dogs while I am away because one time at a different boarding place, she was being rude to another dog (trying to get him to play when he didn't want to), and that dog ended up biting her. Sue doesn't just throw dogs together and hope it works out, she spends time getting to know your dog and works with them as an individual. I liked this instead of the pack mentality that you find at a lot of other places. From what I understand, she would put your own dogs together though, so if you have more than one, they would be able to play.Another thing I really liked was that Hazel has trust issues when it comes to people taking her out to potty, so she always has accidents unless it is me, my fiancé, or my parents taking care of her. It took us a long time to get her fully potty trained with just us! Sue told me to just bring back the blanket next time and she's comfortable working with her trying to help her understand to go outside during boarding as well. Also, despite all of her accidents, she didn't come home crusted in urine. At some other facilities it has been so bad that we have to carry her in and bathe her immediately. Hazel at least wasn't sitting in her own pee for hours, and Sue washed the blanket every time she peed on it.Additionally, the communication with Sue was really good. She responded to texts on the same day, and was able to provide pictures and updates on Hazel whenever I requested it! If you talk to her on the phone or in person, you're going to pick up on the fact that she really is a dog person right away. My gut just told me "YES" when I talked to her for the first time. Then, when we came in, she was happy to show us where Hazel would be staying, even though they were right in the middle of a hectic cleaning! As for cleanliness, they clean every morning. Dogs are definitely housed there, but it doesn't smell like some other facilities where it reeks of urine and unwashed dog, so you can tell they take cleaning seriously!Lastly, something you wouldn't think I would have to mention but clearly do after my experiences at other places, Sue actually fed my dog! I always portion out Hazel's meals, and every time I picked her up from somewhere else, there were some that were not fed to her. Sue used all the baggies with food, so I'm glad my baby got to eat!Hazel only gets a blanket because she chews up her beds during boarding usually, but you're free to bring your own bedding here too! The floors are heated as well in the winter.Overall, I'm going to be coming back for sure! She's wonderful and cares for my dog!
Nicole Bishop: Our family traveled over Christmas break and found ourselves in need of boarding services for the first time ever. I asked friends for referrals and inquired of our vet as well. I then called various boarding facilities to get more information, check availability, etc. From our first conversation, Sue Watson was fabulous. She and her husband have been doing this for a VERY long time and have a wealth of experience. She was kind, thorough and answered every question I had. She then offered to have me stop past the kennel for a tour. The moment I arrived and walked in, my decision was made and I KNEW this was where we'd board our three pugs. The kennel was clean. The runs were spacious. There are indoor/outdoor spaces. The kennel is attached to the Watson's home -- so the owners are right there. The whole process was easy -- and Sue was very accommodating when our return flights were delayed and I was late to pick up our pugs. I cannot recommend Watson's Kennels enough. When the need for boarding arises in the future, without a doubt we will use their services again. Thank you so much!
Cory Peter: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueYou will not find better humans, let alone someone to watch over your pup, than Sue and Ronnie. If they don’t have room you should change your travel plans;-). Customer for 10 years. Zero issues. 100% satisfied.
Angie Renner: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueAggy told us all about her stay and that she was well taken care of. She is eager to go back. ❤️
Hayden Mandsager: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueRon and Sue are the only people I trust to leave my dog with. They are kind, compassionate, and take care of your pet as one of their own. Highly recommend their services from boarding to routine baths. Simply the best!
Chris Gray: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueI’ve know the Watson’s for years. There Kennel is like taking your pet to a close friends house. You can trust that they will treat your pet like there own! My Bruno loves going there and sometimes doesn’t want to come home with me when I pick him up. I would highly recommend them.
Dennis Snider: Positive:ResponsivenessI have personally worked at the kennel .I know it is one of the cleanest and well keep kennels I have ever seen .The dogs are treated like a family member and are catered to and interacted with their needs in mind .Any dogs that get boarded here are very lucky !
Norma Watson: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueAmazing service. Excellent location and the kennels are large and very clean. The care and attention your pet will get is exceptional. Highly recommend
Hannah Gosser: Positive:Professionalism,Reliability
N Fox: We love Watson’s Kennels! The owners have years of experience and it is clear the pups in their care are their priority. The facility is small and amazingly clean. I like that the owners are on-site and feel very comfortable boarding my pup with them. My Daisy gets excited when we pull into the drive. The owners love the pups and it shows. I highly recommend Watson’s Kennels!
Sarah Emmons: We LOVE Watson's Kennels. Sue and Ronnie are great with our dog and we never have to worry while we are out of town. She even sends updates on how he is doing. He has play time and gets the attention he needs. We don't trust anyone else with our dog while we are gone!!! It makes it easier to leave the fur babies when they are at a place like this.
Taminator61: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueIf you are looking for a great place to board your dog then look no further. Watson's Kennels is the only place that I will board my Rottweiler. Kennels are cleaned every day. Kennels are air conditioned and heated. Owners live on the premises so they are very close in case of an issue. I highly recommend this kennel.

Nikki Finney: Donna is the best, most caring breeder and person!! She loves her babies so much. We have gotten 3 Labradors total from her and they are the best!! They are all smart, sweet dogs with the absolute best temperaments. I definitely recommend that's anyone looking for a great, quality labrador to check here first.
Darren Scott: Very informative on everything you need to know about your new family member from nail trimming, bathing, vitamins and much more!!! Rusticridge labradors really love what they do and care!!!!!! Top notch!!
Janice Uselman: Awesome dogs best looking Chocolate's
Kathy Linville: RUSTIC RIDGE LABRADORS - Beautiful Chocolate ChunksRustic Ridge Labradors is a professional breeder of "English" type Chocolate Labradors. The owner, Donna, puts a lot of love and effort into her commitment to better the breed. All her dogs are thoroughly heath tested. Many of her dogs have become champions. Puppies are raised in the home and receive lots of attention, socialization, and of course lots of love. For more information and puppy availability, check out Rustic Ridge Labradors website.
John Miller: If you are looking for quality chocolate English Labs you have to contact Rustic Ridge. Beautiful stocky block with great personalities.
Ted Gualtier: Rustic Ridge Labradors is beyond incredible in their overall intake and execution of placing their pure love and joy furry babies!!! Donna’s ability to interview and determine the best chocolatelove for my family was spot on. My Chocolate Lab Boy is perfect character for me and my family. I was so impressed by Donna, that I have referred her to many friends and clients. I am fortunate to have two clients that have off spring of Rustic Ridge Labs, I receive so much love and affection from the pack. Both of my clients couldn’t be happier with their Boys. Thank you Donna for all your support and love throughout the adoption process. Your wonderful!!!
Mary Ann Parilla: I would give the 20 stars if I could. Simply the best!! We have two Rustic Ridge chocolate labs and they are not only BEAUTIFUL (people stop us when we are out with them and comment on how beautiful they are ALL the time) but they are smart and have the best temperament. Donna and Joe are perfect examples of what dog breeders should be. They are very careful with breeding, with adoption, with follow up, and they love each dog as their own, and the environment that they provide for their dogs is like doggie heaven. Couldn’t find a better breeder in my opinion. We love our dogs, and we love Rustic Ridge!! ❤️
Ty Hayes: The company never responded to my inquiries.
Jody Aurand: On February 14, we received a chocolate lab from Rustic Ridge Labs and he is awesome! Donna made sure that we had all the info that we needed about raising a pup, showed us where his microchip is located and how it can shift, which is normal. Donna also went over the best foods and chew toys for our pup, and reasons why (etc. how some shew toys can cause choking hazards or even how pieces can get lodged in a dog's digestive track.)There is nothing better than being able to purchase a pup from someone who cares as much as they do at Rustic Ridge Labs and I would gladly recommend them to anyone searching for a chocolate lab pup! You will leave there knowing more than you thought possible about labs and loving your new family member!
Beth Schwartz: We had a wonderful experience using Rustic Ridge! Our pup is well adjusted, kind, gentle and healthy. I love that the pups are raised in their personal home, exposed to so many sounds, stimulants, and love. The puppy camera on 24/7 is amazing!! I sometimes go back to the website just to watch the new litters!! You can't go wrong with this breeder!!
Scott Wise: I am not one to readily write reviews. I feel that if you have a job to do and you do it well, that is the reward. One should not be incumbent or relying on others opinions. That being said.. I have been a huge fan of rescue. My past two Labs were rescued. I have volunteered with local law Enforcement and organizations in the shut down of more than 10 unlicensed “breeders “ and I have helped put a LOT of bad people in jail.So when the situation arose that we chose to go the breeder route for our final dog together, My son and I contacted Donna at Rustic Ridge. We were very skeptical and weary.I was instantly impressed with her thoroughness of qualifying us as acceptable candidates for adoption. What was even more impressive is the love and care she and Joe show for these wonderful family members. These are not just dogs to them. Breeders and donors.. they are family. And that is apparent when you enter their home. And I cannot express my gratitude enough for the gift given to us by the Powell’s and Biscuit as well.“A dog is the only family member that truly loves you more than it loves itself”.Thank you Donna and Joe for what you do.Gratefully,Scott and Sam WiseWestfield IN.
Heather Pankop: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Value
Ralph Phillips: Positive:Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueBest dogs ever! We have always had chocolate labs, and we are so grateful to have found Donna and Joe at Rustic Ridge. Gentle temperaments, great personalities, and the beautiful labs quickly become your best friend ! Thank you Rustic Ridge Labradors!
MIke -: I looked all over the southeast three years ago for a labrador retriever , to replace one that I had lost after 16 years . And I kept reading reviews that drew me to finally settling on Donna & Joe at Rustic Ridge Labradors after 1 Year of searching . I selected a male puppy out of one of her litters In 2017 . They assisted me in having the dog trained here in Indiana and it was the best money that I’ve ever spent . Leaving the puppy for 12 weeks was difficult at best. But the rewards overshadowed not having to him for 12 weeks. We’ve been back up here twice once for Preliminary OFA’s and Final OFA Certification. Buck has turned into a beautiful male and he far exceed my hopes and he has passed all of his certifications with flying colors . They have open their home to my brother and myself and you couldn’t ask for better people . They raise wonderful puppies, I doubt you could find a better breeder.
Karen Kuhlman: Donna and her crew go above and beyond every time. We currently have two incredible family members from her. I will not go anywhere else. Quality pups, loving and caring environment. What more can you ask for. She’s been an invaluable resource for me through it all. Call her. You won’t be disappointed.
joydeshea: Donna is an awesome breeder. I would def recommend this kennel to anyone looking for a beautiful, fun loving English Chocolate Labrador! I got my first lab, Abery, from Rustic Ridge when I was 16. I’m now 28 and I still have her and her son Kato. They both are my whole heart. They have amazing temperaments and awesome personalities. They both have been and still are very healthy even in their old age. Abery is now 13 and still loves to play with toys and swim. Kato, who is 8, has earned several titles including his CGC, trick dog & working certificate. I couldn’t ask for better additions to my family!
Edward Jones: Rusticridge Labs (Donna) is an experienced and knowledgeable breeder. I have had labs my whole life, but my gorgeous choc lab from Rusticridge has the best temperament of any lab I have owned. I am blessed to have found a breeder like Donna. Thank you Donna for blessing me with my baby girl.
Amy Phillips: Donna Powell owns Rustic Ridge Labradors along with Joe, her husband, and they are committed to raising beautiful chocolate English Labradors with loving temperaments, good conformation and the most expressive faces. She is an AKC recognized “Breeder with Heart” and it shows in the many ways she consistently exceeds the high standards set by the organization. That aside, you won’t find a more caring person with the innumerable ways she nurtures both the puppies and the mommas . Nor will you find a better more rounded pup than with Donna. Give her a call... you can’t go wrong.
