Purpose Driven K9 Dog Training: what do users think?
Adam Sanford: K9 dog training here is absolutely wonderful. The owner is so knowledgeable and helpful while making the dog training user friendly. Our mini golden doodle would use to bark at everything and be a handful while walking on a leash. We now receive compliments on how well behaved he is while out in the public. He is so much better in the home as well. Thank you very much for the quality training experience.
Damon Barker: Great service
Kyle Grubb: Everyone here was amazing and really changed my dog's personality. The staff was friendly and always willing to answer questions. I would recommend this place to everyone who really wants to see a difference in their dog. Thank you for what you ladies have done.
Heather Gimlich: Whisper loved his board and train. Great team running this establishment.
Kylie Kaminski: This is the third training facility I have tried for my dog and it will be our last because they are GREAT! I had tried positive only trainers and other balanced trainers before coming to PDK9 and neither provided the results I wanted. PDK9 gave us hope AND results. My dog, Marlow, has issues with aggression and reactivity that started before her 1st birthday. At the worst point, she consistently lost her mind lunging, growling, and barking at every single thing we'd see on walks (cars, cats, birds, people, dogs, leaves) and bit someone when leaving daycare. I ended up having to do walks very early in the morning (with no improvement) and she never went back to daycare. She lacked confidence, direction, and leadership.Marlow did a board and train for 10 days with PDK9 and has been attending group classes. Marlow learns new skills and behaviors quickly - and the trainers do a great job of teaching me how to keep up with her!I absolutely recommend this training facility to anyone, whether you are struggling with reactivity, aggression, over-excitement, or just wanting basic obedience training. The trainers build a bond with your dog and are very educated on canine behavior. They are extremely trustworthy, kind, and compassionate. They will work with you to create a customized plan for your dog. The prices are very reasonable for the long-lasting results and commitment they show to your dog - you just need to be ready to show the same commitment in order to see long term results. The facility is kept very clean and the employees are professional and welcoming.
Rachael Findley: Margaret & the rest of the training team are great.
Stacy Haynes: Drove an hour and a half in traffic and they said they needed to reschedule because they didn’t have enough time to work with my dog. Sorry. Not happening.
Andy W: My dog franklin was a wild man when we got him at 12 weeks old. He couldn't stop barking at other dogs people whatever. Would not listen and was starting to run us ragged. We reached out to multiple places but no one had availability because of all the pandemic pups. But alas, spot opened up at PDK9 and omg what a difference it made. The trainers were professional and kind and so so sweet and they love dogs, all shapes and sizes. It's the perfect place and I highly recommend. We were worried going in that we would spend all that money and it wouldn't fix the issues. They fixed our dog, but mostly they fixed us. We were also a huge part of his problems. They taught us how to reinforce good behavior and punish the not so good behavior. Honestly the best experience with them. Can't imagine going anywhere else.
Kurt S: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueWe have a one year old german shepard. He was trained there and also goes there a day or two during the week for boarding. Everyone is so friendly and knowledable. In addtion, the training is fantastic. Great staff and Great company!
Darlene helms: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueWe love this place so much. We brought our Pitbull for training and it was amazing thr change we have seen in him since his training. The people here are friendly, and very patient with the dogs, which I feel is important, but firm when they need to be and it shows in our big boy. I recommend Purpose Driven K9.
Becky Kuchler: I tried to ask questions and they wouldn't train my dog , they are I professional and they don't even have a person on hand to watch the boarded trained dogs no real place for them to potty and two out of the women o meant were completely rude to me because I had questions I can't for my dog trained there she made it sound that my dog would be mistreated because of the conflict with one with a very rude employee, that's kinda scary they cancelled because they could take it out on your dog ?
Elizabeth Parsons: We took our golden doodle Luna here and had the best experience. She is a sweet and overall good dog but lacked leash skills, the ability to sit/ stay for long lengths, and struggled with staying calm in exciting new situations. After training, she’s the perfect dog! No more pulling on the leash and she heels wonderfully. She can stay in a sit for an extended time we can even leave the room and she continues the sit. She still gets excited like all dogs do, but now she knows how to calm herself down and control herself in those situations. The trainers are great and helpful with any questions you have. It is worth the wait if they have a long waiting list (they are quite popular)!
Becca Gervasio: Miracle worker!
Gina Christofaro: My dog and I both had a very horrible experience with Margaret at Purpose Driven K9. My dog had early signs of mild separation anxiety (my sole purpose for seeking training - my dog is a peach with commands and behaviors), which Margaret ensured me at least 3 times (verbally in person, over the phone, and via email) that she was confident in working with. After the 2 week board and train, my dog was sharper with basic commands yes, but was now having HORRIBLE anxiety during our training sessions (full-body shaking, peeing himself, etc. - which he never had before) and general timidness while leash-walking (like the poor thing was just waiting to be reprimanded). I consulted with my veterinarian (an anxiety medication was started) and a certified animal behaviorist (a behavior modification program was implemented), and I initially was going to continue with the weekly group training sessions to continue working on basic commands with Margaret. Needless to say she was VERY offended that I had reached out to the vet and behaviorist, and basically her ego got in the way of any professional communication from her after that point. She accused me of causing his anxiety (I do horse training, so am very aware of what non-verbal cues not to use with my dog), not being willing to put in any effort (I already had my dog doing sit-stay, down-stay, stand, come, heel walking, etc. BEFORE even starting with Margaret, plus I did what she requested of me before the board and train - backtying), and also wanting a 'quick fix' (she quite literally reprimanded me for reaching out 'so soon' to the vet/behaviorist - I only did because my dog was in dire need of specialized help and I realized Margaret had unfortunately just made my journey to successful training LONGER). She has a one-size-fits-all approach, which is certainly not for every dog, so please be aware - the behaviorist said that her methods were opposite of any successfully researched means of treating separation anxiety, and were too rapidly and forcefully enforced for a dog like mine. Luckily, we are now on the right track - it was a blessing in disguise that Margaret refused to keep seeing me since I 'didn't believe in her training philosophy' (she did do a partial refund no questions asked)... my dog is now doing wonderful after switching to only using positive reinforcement training (along with the counterconditioning for his anxiety). I am simply writing this hoping that others who have a dog who has issues similar to mine may avoid a potentially horrible situation like I had.
Frank Swindler (Mobile): Margaret the owner is very comprehensive and very helpful. We will be bringing or Sheltie first a 2 week in house session.
Christopher Yoke: Great staff, very helpful with our new puppy, highly recommended
Rebecca Stewart: Margret is absolutely great and we really get the guidence we need for our doggies!
Heather Spaw: I personally did not use this company for one they are booked thru till September but,the owner got on the phone and spent at least 15 mins with me and brought to my attention a few things I might be doing wrong. I have 2 11 week old puppies one blind and not only did he answer a few questions for me he also forwarded me a list of a few trainers who might be able to help. His customer service was above and beyond.
Becky Smith: I can't say enough positive things about Purpose Driven K9. I have a big chocolate lab and I wanted to feel like I could take him out in public and have control. This training helped me to learn the natural instincts of my dog and build a better relationship with him by becoming a better dog handler. This program uses consistency and structure which is what any dog needs to thrive. I have the best trained dog I've ever had. I can read his behavior and adjust mine to correct him in a manner that produces the desired outcome. My dog is not as frustrated he's a much calmer relaxed dog. He's a happier dog and I'm a happier dog owner. Also, the dog socials are great my dog never wants to leave.
Kyle Johnson: Great training for my dog! Great training for us as dog owners too. Very helpful definitely worth it.
M CH: The staff here is outstanding! They really know their profession and they solved a big problem for us.We took all three of our dogs for a consultation. Margaret sat down and asked us questions, but also let us tell her what problems we had with the behavior of all three dogs.We thought we needed to work on the behavior of our newest dog, but she pointed out the behavior of our middle dog was running the behavior of the other two.We had problems with our middle dog running off and not coming back if he got loose, along with housebreaking our newest dog. There were many other problems.I cannot say how much of a change and a joy the training and personality change in our dogs has been since our middle dog attended a two week in-residence dog camp. He is calmer now, but still loving and affectionate. He minds, follows us, doesn’t pull on the leash, doesn’t run off, and we can now trust him to take him with us to dog-friendly locations in the city. The in-residence training was followed up with 6 (1 )hour classes to take his training even further. It’s rewarding and satisfying to see this maturation with our dog, which has carried over to our other two dogs. Now, playtime isn’t stressful, and quiet time is enjoyable for everybody, especially for our middle dog.The process has taught us about what we were doing wrong as well (or at least what we could have done better)!I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Purpose Driven K9 for anyone with a difficult behaved dog; even if you think that your dog is beyond help, they aren’t!! Your dog just needs the guidance and your trust to bring out the dog that they can definitely be! You love your dog, so give them the best gift other than health; the gift of discipline to enjoy life together in trust!

Bark Tutor School for Dogs: what do users think?
Jessica Perry: Bark Tutor's 3 week training course was wonderful. Marvin, our Bernedoodle puppy, learned so much from Kayla and the rest of the team. He got so excited to go to school every morning. All of the staff made me feel confident and comfortable leaving Marv in their care. They are so attentive and kind. I love that Bark Tutor sends photos of the pups throughout the day and provides a detailed report card each evening.Kayla did a great job teaching Marvin. His behavior and manners have improved so much and he's much more confident now. My husband and I also feel much more prepared to train and raise Marvin. Kayla gave us many resources and tips to make sure we're the best dog parents possible.I can't wait for Marvin to go back for daycare to see all his friends. I highly recommend Bark Tutor.
Caulin McGraw: Couldn’t recommend Bark Tutor more. Kayla worked wonders with our pup and the overall experience was great!
Allison Almon: I cannot recommend this place enough! Kayla is absolutely fantastic to work with and my experience with her has made me such a more confident puppy owner! She is patient, positive, and I saw results from her training techniques even just after the first day. Every day she would give me a very detailed report card, and instructions on how to continue the training at home, as well as super cute pictures of how much fun my dog was having! Everyone I encountered at bark tutor was so kind and made me feel so comfortable leaving my dog in their care. 10/10, such a great experience!
Dana Parker: Cannot say enough about how amazing our experience with Kayla and Bark Tutor was for us! Our corgi puppy had the best time, and she learned so much! Kayla taught her everything we wanted her to know, and worked with me to make sure I'm consistent and keep her skills sharp. Easily the best investment I've made in our baby girl!
Lauren H: We had a great puppy Kindergarten experience with our golden retriever puppy, Dolly. We worked with trainers Mark and Kayla, both of whom are awesome and easy to learn from! We will continue to use Bark Tutor for daycare and other needs! Highly recommend them.
Shana Ghooray: Everyone at Bark Tutor was so loving toward the dogs! We especially loved Mark who trained our girl specifically. He was kind and patient and we saw immediate results. You can tell when people love animals and these people do! I felt safe and comfortable leaving my dog with them for the 3 week day training.
Nora Winnestaffer: We took our puppy Willow to Bark Tutor for the 3 week day training and she absolutely loved it! She learned so much in the 3 weeks and so did we. Her trainer Mark was exceptional and explained all of the commands to us during our training sessions. We saw so much growth in Willow and are so glad we took her to Bark Tutor!
Codi Milner: We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Bark Tutor! We wrapped up the Family Manners class with our puppy Benny in October and the lessons we all learned have really stuck. Kayla does an amazing job of teaching owners not only how to train their dog, but also how to manage their environment to help their dog be as successful as possible. The class not only helped Benny improve his manners, it made us better owners!
Katherine Walker: Highly recommend bark tutor! We took our 3 month old mixed breed puppy for the dog training. Our main goals were to make sure he was socialized properly with other dogs and to learn basic obedience. Kayla the certified dog trainer that we worked with did an amazing job with him! I never doubted that he was in good hands- he loved going in every morning.
Becky Seward: We took our puppy, Maui, to Bark Tutor for their 3-week puppy program. As first time dog owners we weren't sure where to begin with training until we started at Bark Tutor. Our trainer was Kayla, and we could not have asked for a better trainer! She provided daily updates and provided us with all of the tools necessary to ensure we could practice Maui's new skills at home. Kayla showed a genuine interest in the success and well-being of our pup. The rest of the Bark Tutor staff was very friendly and professional. Overall, I would highly recommend Bark Tutor to any prospective customers.
Shannon Kenney: Our 4 month old Chocolate Lab just finished his 3 week puppy training at Bark Tudor. We can’t say enough about this positive experience. Mark our trainer not only was great with our dog, Willett, but we as humans learned a ton from him. Mark was professional, courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. Willett is going to miss Mark very much, they definitely became best buddies. We have three dogs and have been through they very different training programs, Bark Tudor is far superior to any program we have experienced to date. We will never go anywhere else for training again. We have and will continue to recommend Bark Tudor and Mark specifically for puppy training.
Debbie LaMar: Taylor has been working with us and our German Shepherd. She is a wealth of knowledge. She always answers my questions. She has been working with us at home. Shegreat
Ali Groves: Our one-year-old pug has so much “love” to give, but we noticed that he (and we) struggled to express his behavior appropriately. So we called the professionals! And we are so glad we did. From the initial call with Kylee, we knew Bark Tutor was right we’re Reggie needed to be! We enrolled him in the 3-week day training program and never looked back.We are so thankful for Reggie’s trainer, Mark. The Reggie we dropped off on day one and the Reggie we picked up on day 14 were sincerely two totally different dogs! Mark was incredibly patient and diligent with not only Reggie, but also with me and my husband, who I’m sure at times were more difficult to train than the dog. You can clearly see that he has a special gift! We were so impressed with Mark, and all of the other Bark Tutor staff that we encountered during drop-offs and pick-ups.We would recommend Bark Tutor to literally anyone. It was a fantastic investment! Reggie learned so much, made so many new friends, and had an absolute blast at Bark Tutor!!
Orlandocarter84 Jamar1984: I spent 15 mins registering my dog for class just to receive an email a week later stating it was canceled so i asked why they replied i didn’t respond to their email which i never got on top of what was the purpose of me leaving my cell and office number for them to call i could have spent this time looking for a serious training school instead of getting the run around wasting time in them
Leslie P: We took our 4 month old golden retriever puppy Milly to Bark Tutor for their 3 week day training program. The entire staff and our trainer Kayla were so amazing with Milly and I felt so comfortable leaving her there everyday and knew she was in the best care. Over those three weeks her daily report card was the best part of my day! We recently took her to an outdoor brewery to practice her new skills and the experience was like night and day compared to before training. Thank you Kayla and Bark Tutor for giving us the best behaved family member.
Anthony Perugini: HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend. When we first got our GSD puppy we knew we wanted a formal training program. We opted for the 3 week day training program. It is 100% worth every penny.Kayla, our trainer, is phenomenal and worked with us on the basic obedience training, answered any and all questions we had, and often went above and beyond with any extra troubleshooting we needed etc. She not only helped train Ruby but she also helped train us to be better communicators with our doggo. I cannot recommend her enough as she is truly a gifted trainer. BarkTutor was very flexible with us after we had to reschedule due to conflicts and make adjustments due to my education/work requirements.
Stephenie morton: Bark Tutor is an outstanding place to take your puppy or dog for training. I took my 3 month old basenji for Day Training. Day Training is a three week program where your dog is assigned a trainer 5 days a week to learn basic skills, manners, etc. Kayla was our trainer and we had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend Bark Tutor and Kayla. The entire staff is professional, reliable, friendly, attentive to you and your pooch. My puppy is now so well behaved and I have the confidence to take him in public and enjoy the experience. Thank you Kayla and Bark Tutor!!!
Brisco Wood: Bark Tutor and our trainer Kayla were amazing!! My dogs behavior improved so much. He was always sweet and smart but could be a handful at times and now he listens so much better and is so much more attentive to me. I can’t recommend bark tutor enough! I also love that they took pictures of him throughout the day.
Kellan Kershner: Provide excellent training for dogs and dog owners. Call early and schedule ahead because they have a full calendar!
Elaine Kovalcik: Thanks to the entire Bark Tutor team but especially to Taylor, a first rate trainer for our 4-month-old puppy. Not only did our pup learn basic obedience and good manners, she finished her course with greater confidence to match her curiosity. We are very pleased with our BT experience!
Nicole Mahern: Our puppy had an amazing experience at Bark Tutor. Her trainers, Mark and Kayla, were incredible. Our puppy learned so much and was also so happy. Mark and Kayla taught our puppy more than we could have ever have imagined. The commands/skills that she learned have continued at home making a positive impact on our whole family. I highly recommend both Mark and Kayla!

Off-Leash K9 Training Indianapolis: what do users think?
Joshua Davies: Dacia with Off Leash K9 Training was outstanding. She explained everything clearly and worked with me to ensure I knew how to properly train my puppy. After 6 weeks with the intermediate course, my puppy is so well behaved and listens to me no matter what. I highly recommend this course for anyone in need of puppy training!
Breanna Boer: I couldn't be happier with the training we received from Decia! I feel much more confident in handling my dog out in public - it was a great experience and I highly recommend Decia!
Fernando Martínez: We’re so happy to see how confortable was my dog, that help her to be so good with Allison her trainer, we tried to train ourself but it’s not same as the results she is now with so much difference, Allison make her everything in pretty god way, and went beyond our expectations
Michelle Cantwell: Our 1 year old Goldendoodle came home after 1 week board and train with Dacia knowing: come, sit, duration sit (place), break, off (stop for anything negative). He also improved his negative jumping behavior. We have the tools, knowledge and skills to keep working with him as well. Thank you!
Chandler Lipp: I was having trouble with my puppy while being in Florida. I called and they helped me grab a last minute opening. Bree was amazing with my dog and communication was great. Definitely a place I would send any future dogs.
Chloe Spenny: I can't express enough how appreciative I am of Off- Leach k9 Training and Hope! I have two pups, one's an anxious adult dog and the other is a laid back puppy. Both cause a scene when they see other dogs in public. I wasn't taking them anywhere because I was so embarrassed of their behavior and my lack of control over my dogs. Now, we can go out in public with no problem!Big thanks to Hope and her training! She was kind, gracious, and such a good teacher. I will always recommend her and the company. Thank you for everything!!
Chris DeWeese: Jax needed to improve his ability to listen with distractions. And develop some basic obedience skills. Bre was INCREDIBLE! She was so great with Jax. She kept us updated throughout the process with videos every night. We were worried about leaving him for two weeks but we knew immediately that he was in great hands! We would highly recommend Bre and Off-Leash!
Elliot Cox Racing: Hope made it easy to understand everything we did and was there to answer any questions I had along the way. Rip has much better manners now, and we had a blast! Thank you!
Gary Swisher: We took our 7 month old chocolate lab to OLK9 for a 2 week Board and Train. Hope Welch was our trainer. BEST DECISION EVER! Our girl was a good dog but VERY HYPER. Walking her was becoming impossible, as she pulled and darted all over the place. Our grandkids were afraid of her because of her jumping and just playing too rough. She had no focus. Over all just no manners and going to the vet or groomer was a major issue. Picked her up today and just a complete 180 degree turn around! Still the same dog with the same loving personality but with manners! We even went to Petsmart and the vet after the turnover and there were ZERO problems! Hope was/is fantastic! Kept us updated every day with what was going on, pictures, and videos. Answered all of our questions. And treated Cindy as if she were her own dog. I just can’t thank Hope enough for what she’s done for all of us. ABSOLUTELY worth every penny!
Taylor Davis: Hope was amazing!! My fiancé and I took our 3 year old pitty for a two week board and train. Our dog Riley had very poor door manners, refused to listen to us if there was distraction, bad food manners, horrible on a leash and we felt like we didn’t have control over her around other people and dogs. The updates that we received from Hope daily amazed me from day one. I went from being walked by my dog to her walking next to me off leash at our turnover. I cannot say enough good things about Off Leash and Hope. If you have been going back in fourth on if it’s worth it I promise you it most definitely is!
Cynthia Holmecki: Our 11 month old German Shepherd just spent 2 weeks with Bre Carr and the results are incredible! Bre is an amazing trainer and cared for Enzo like he was her own. We were given daily updates including photos and video of the work they were doing. During drop off, Bre spent an extended amount of time making sure we were comfortable with the process and then yesterday at pick up she was so patient and made sure all of our questions were answered. Overall an amazing experience and I highly recommend Off Leash K9 Training and Bre Carr to anyone looking to make their pup well mannered and obedient! Thank you Bre! ❤️🐶
Shawn: I can't recommend Hope enough. Oakley came to her as an anxious gsd with reactivity and high prey drive. My goal was to be able to take her places without a muzzle on and for her to gain more confidence. Hope did this easily and treated Oakley like one of the family. I couldn't have asked for more. Thank you for being amazing!
Jackie Hunter: Fish (1yr old GSD lab mix) trained with Hope for the two week board and train program and we are over the moon with what they were able to accomplish. Hope communicated with us every day multiple times with progress pictures and videos. She has a great balance of humor and hard work which really eased my nerves and it was very obvious that Fish felt comfortable, trusted her and had a lot of fun learning. I expected good results but I didn’t expect how quickly he would progress and how refined she was able to make him in the time allowed. His off leash skills are really impressive and she really made an extra point to focus on the things that we told her initially that were important to us like his food manners and intense excited jumping. Couldn’t recommend this training enough. (Really, just do it.)
Nathaly Rodriguez: Bre worked magic for us! She safely introduced my hyperactive dog to several different types of new dogs to work on his reactivity. We finally have the confidence to take him out in public. I've even received compliments on his behavior while working him in front of a large group of unfamiliar dogs. I never thought I'd witness my dog calmly listening to off leash commands while passing multiple new dogs during his training. He isn't just well behaved now. He's also much happier now (even around other dogs) and we are too!
Scott Carter: Bre was awesome with Luna. Great results in a a short time!
Sarah Flores: We really loved our experience with the one week board and train- Bre was amazing! She was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and caring. Now, we have a training foundation to keep our baby girl safe and happy. If you’re thinking of investing in training- go with Offleash K9.
Anthony Jones: Bree was such a pleasure to have as our dog’s trainer. She was very thorough and upfront with all details involved in the week long training. She made us feel very comfortable and that we could entrust our dog to her. Bree kept us up to date, everyday with the progress of the training. Bree is very professional and an asset to your team. I highly recommend her to all dog parents that are interested in professional dog training.
DeAjaNae Watson: Bre was the best trainer with our puppy!! She was patient and now my puppy temperament is so good now. Bre really took her time to listen to our dog issues and helped fixed any issues we had. I cannot recommend this company enough.
Cydney Combellick: My trainer Bre was not only a phenomenal teacher to both me and my dog, but personable and understanding at all times! She was incredibly positive and supportive with what ever we needed. Day or night! Wether that was clarification on how to use new tools, or helping me understand my dogs behavior. Because of her, I am more confident in me and my dogs relationship and I’m able to give him a more active and enriching lifestyle! We couldn’t have done it without her and will always appreciate everything she did for us! :)
Mike May: My Charlie had a great board and train with Dacia. She learned so much and we have a great base and structure for going forward as well.
Austin: I set my 2 year old golden retriever up for a 1 week board and train with Hope. My dog started the training good understanding of the basic commands (sit, stay, down, place, leave it) but struggled with following commands with distractions such as guests and other dogs. Hope was extremely flexible with the 1 week curriculum and focused the training on his specific needs. The daily update videos and communication blew away any expectations I had. She had him out in public every day to work on his commands with distractions and the results were awesome! We hosted company the day I picked him up and the difference between pre and post Off-Leash was amazing. Can’t recommend Hope and this program enough.

Indy K-9: what do users think?
Lorissa Miller: Great experience with Indy K-9!! Our Goldendoodle puppy completed the 4 week board and train program. She was still our sweet girl when she came home but with manners! Jon was great during the whole process and took the time to make sure I had a grasp on the training. I was amazed with all her progress! He and his team did a wonderful job and I highly recommend their program.
Amber Pitman: Our family was very hesitant to send our very small chihuahua to training for 4 weeks, but it was a great decision. She had several behavior issues we needed resolved: territorial, biting and overall doing whatever she wanted. Upon her return she is the same dog, but she now is able to listen and obey all the commands Jon taught her. We are now 4 months out and she still knows what is expected of her and obeys all of her commands. I cannot recommend Jon enough.
Krystal Thompson: Highly recommend IndyK9. Working with Jon throughout this entire process has been amazing. Jon not only trains your dog, he trains and educates you (the owner) to make sure you have the best dog.
Jordan Kelly: Indy K-9 did a great job with our Golden Retriever. He is almost a year old and we struggled walking him on a leash. He would tug and pull because he was fearful of his surroundings as well as he didn’t really know how to properly walk on a leash. After two weeks at Indy K-9 we saw a huge difference in the way he walked on a leash. Jon and the team were also very personable and available to any questions we had regarding the training.
Frankie Guzek: We sent our lab puppy, Hank, to Jon for 2 weeks and it has made the biggest difference in our day-to-day with him! Hank fiercely obeys each command Jon went over with us. Before we brought Hank to IndyK9, walking was a struggle. He was only 4 months but we wanted to get him heeling with us as quickly as possible. Immediately upon getting him back we can go on 30 minute walks with Hank right by our side and not getting distracted by other dogs or people. Jon kept us in the loop with video and pics throughout Hank’s stay. From the very beginning we felt comfortable with Jon and leaving Hank there as such a young pup. Not only does he listen to us now, he’s an overall more mature pup! We will continue to use Indy K9 for boarding in the future!
Sherry Foster: I chose Indy K-9 (owned by Jonathan Combs) as a trainer for my dog, Boss. I did extensive online research and conducted phone interviews searching for the right trainer. After a lot of research and speaking with Jonathan directly, I selected his 30 day course for Boss and couldn’t be happier with the results! Boss is well behaved and Jonathan has taught me so much as a new dog owner. I’ve had many questions over the last year and he’s always available to promptly reply and help me be the best dog owner I can be. Boss now visits Jonathan for boarding when I’m out of town for work. I never worry about Boss when I’m gone. I know Jonathan’s depth of knowledge, dedication to his clients (human and furry ones 🙂) and passion for the well-being of dogs are used to keep Boss physically safe, mentally happy, and emotionally secure. I’m thankful that Boss and I found Indy K-9!Sherry & Boss Foster
Angela Kloss: Jon took a dog with some aggression issues and trained her to a much more calm and confident dog. I love that after the private lesson he's available for questions and assistance. Also the inclusion of papers that help demonstrate and reinforce the commands is helpful. I would highly recommend Indy K-9. Out of all the trainers we priced I felt that we were getting the most training for the money.
Andy: It was always difficult to take my dog on long walks due to excessive pulling. He also would get too overexcited in public, but I always wanted to take him places. After the 4 week training course, taking my dog on outings has never been easier! And the best thing is my dog still has the same goofy personality and actually enjoys the new training that Jon has taught him!
mica renee: I'm sure he trains the dogs great. Hopefully he is able to train the 11 puppies and mama that he picked up and isn't returning to the owner (his facebook page claims some already have homes) Michael O'Brien has broke Indiana law regarding the dog and puppies.
Lyndi Lippelt: I can’t say enough about how much better my dog is already behaving. I was apprehensive at first, but with how large of a dog we have I needed some baseline training and manners for her. I was blown away with how well she listens now. The private lesson at the end of her time there was very overwhelming but Jon was really through and readily available for questions. Once I got my dog home and started practicing what he taught us I was amazing by how much easier it was to continue and be consistent at home. Well worth it!!!!
Joe Vella: Jonathan Is excellent at his job! Sent our dog for the 4 week training and it made a huge difference. Walking our dog before was a stressful event because of his barking and pulling on leash, but after his training it’s amazing how much better he is. Such an improvement. Also your dog will still be the same personality as before the training. My wife and I were worried that after training our dog wouldn’t be playful and fun, that is not the case. He is still the same old pup but way better.Jonathan also answers all your questions, is very communicative and easy to get a hold of with all your questions. He’s like a dog phone a friend! Full of helpful dog information and support.
Bralin Coleman: I put my Lab/Pit mix through Jon's 4-week, board and train program, and I was amazed by the end result! Initially, I didn't think my dog was very trainable---at least not to the extent that I have seen other dogs---but I was completely wrong. Now, my dog seems much more confident, relaxed, focused, and prepared to take on new challenges. And as the owner, I actually feel confident taking him out to venues, peoples' houses, and even to restaurants.Jon's dog training program is incredible, from start to finish. He gives consistent updates about your dogs behavior and progress throughout the training, and he even sends videos of your dog in action. At the end of the program, he'll inform you on everything you need to know to correctly handle your dog through a hands-on lesson using your new leash and training collar.I couldn't be happier with Jon's program and my newly-trained dog!
Hannah Bitter: Jon is extremely reliable, quick to respond and easy to work with. My dogs love going to Indy K9 when we leave town and I fully trust Jon to take excellent care of them!
Allison Pope: First off, let me say that this was a very big decision for our family and we took a lot of time researching our options. I couldn’t imagine being without our pup for 4 weeks. After meeting with Jon, I felt confident and fully comfortable with our choice. Winnie, our Great Dane/Doberman puppy, isn’t a “new dog” after training. She is the same amazing girl, but with more confidence and manners. She now has a strong foundation and understands what is expected. She is much happier than when we tried other training methods. Obviously there is still work involved on our part, but Jon made sure we had all of the tools to succeed and was there to answer any questions throughout the process. The results exceeded our expectations. With 2 young kids, this training was a godsend. We are thrilled with the results and would highly recommend Indy K-9.
Wendi Sexton: Loved the results. Facility extremely clean and well cared for. Takes great care of your dog and communicates regularly. You won’t be disappointed.
Peyton Allan: I would highly recommend board & train with Jon and his team! My dog is a 1 year old golden doodle and stayed with Jon for 4 weeks. His main issues were pulling when walking, barking, jumping and not coming when called. I’ve had him home for less than 24 hours and already he is following commands and adjusting with corrections when needed. Jon uses commands and corrections and it’s very effective. Jon was extremely communicative while my dog stayed with him. Sending photos and videos of progress and calling me each week with an update on the progress and to answer any questions I had. When I picked my dog up I stayed at Jon’s for 2 hours so I could get the proper training to reinforce all my dog had learned. Jon kindly reminded me that my dog was now smarter than me and I had to learn the right way to give him directions - he was right! Jon’s boarding and training facility is well-equipped and incredibly clean, I almost couldn’t believe he had 5 dogs on his own on top of 20+ that he was boarding and/or training!!! I could not recommend Jon and his team enough. Thank you so much! We are so happy with the results!
Jennifer Cross: Our new puppy benefitted from Indy K-9's training. We went from having a good dog to a great one! Excellent service!
Jonathan Benge: Jon did a great job with our boxer puppy! Highly recommend!
Dayanara Meraz: Amazing trainer! Great communication. The results are amazing! I thought I was never going to enjoy a walk with my dog reactive 3 year old golden retriever but I was so wrong! She’s doing great now. Can’t wait to take her on so many adventures! Thanks to Indyk9 training.
Blazwich Construction LLC: Took My Dog Joker to Jon at Indy K-9 due to Joker needing some behavior training. Honestly I was a bit skeptical due to past experiences with other Dog trainers. So I didn't know what to expect when it came to results at the end.Fortunately Jon was the first trainer that gave me the training results that he said he would in regards to Jokers training. And I am Very Happy I decided to have Indy K-9 do Jokers Training.I know there is still some at Home work of Me being consistent and working with Joker daily to keep and further the training Joker received from Indy K-9 as expected with any training, but Jon was able to get a Good start on it with Joker and got me to a point that I am Very Happy with.
Kristin Hardymon: We are so thankful for Indy K-9. We could not be happier with the attention to detail, communication and high level of service of this training. Highly recommend and worth every penny!!

First Friend K-9 Training: what do users think?
John Mcfly: The staff and this place are awesome. Whenever I drop off my dog they greet both him and I and are always happy to see Henry. Everytime we get close to the building my dog gets excited in the car and practically runs into the door. I've also used their services for boarding and that is great as well. My dog gets time in the daycare, walks, and treats. I cannot recommend first friends enough.
Nicholas Garrett: Love Bruce and his staff. They took good care of our pups during boarding and their training program was fantastic. We will be going back for the advanced classes.
diane clowers: I have been taking my puppy there and they are great. I highly recommend. They even offer additional training for a nominal fee. You can tell Bruce and his staff are highly passionate about what they do. I highly recommend.
Gabriella Franklin: I took my 11mths old Rottweiler (Buffalo) to the 2wk in kennel training and he is doing great so thank you to my trainer Alexis matus
Robert Dragoo: Love this place. Bruce is really honest, but really funny. Just relax and have fun!
David Baugher: For my birthday my wife bought me the $300 8 week K-9 dog training course for me and our 10 month old Golden/shepherd mix puppy. The course teaches basic commands that you practice there and then practice at home between classes. There was way too many dogs in the classes. My dog did very good during the home portion of the training but in the class he was constantly distracted by other dogs. Other dog owners experienced the same issue. However, instead of helping me with this issue the instructor told me to leave the class in front of everyone in the class, which was very embarrassing. While the girls helping him were very nice and helpful, the instructor was rude and had no problem getting up in your face. I wouldn't recommend K-9 dog training class to anyone. Rather I would find a training class with an instructor that has a better personality and people skills. Don't waist your money on K-9 Training in Fishers! I will expect a reimbursement for the cost of the class that I was told to leave, as well as the remaining 3 classes as I will definitely not be attending them.
Laurie Barker: Groomer Katie was awesome! Cooper looked like a show dog! Thanks so much!
Cindy Reynolds: FFK9 is the best! Only boarder, groomer, trainer we trust w our Rottie. They truly understand and help you get results with your dog. No breed discrimination.
Lori Owens: Love this place! We've taken several dogs through training.
Jim Greig: Excellent lead trainer/owner with a great staff.Do yourself and your dog a favor and put in the time to train it, with the help of this expert staff.
Chad Musselman: Bruce is the best. Don't fool yourself, he's really training you as much or more than the dogs.I've taken the novice training with two separate dogs and advanced with one. Classes are fun, but you really have to do your homework for novice class. It can get embarrassing and frustrating when it's your dog not obeying in class. Do the work and the class is way more enjoyable.... But Bruce really makes it great. You'll love the advice, extra help he provides, and his stories.Sorry, no photos on this one since I was busy with the dog in class.
Beth Speckman: Highly engaging training & informative training sessions. Bruce is very fun, and has a great communication style. Highly recommend!
Ashley Madson: I’ve really enjoyed my experience at First Friend K9 - I’m so impressed with the progress my puppy has made. Bruce & his staff are amazing - I highly recommend.
William Flint: Awesome place.
Stacy Hines: First friends is great! Bruce and his staff are friendly and knowledgeable. My daughter has done the training with our puppy and it has been such a positive experience for both her and the pup.
Jeff Read: Great place for dog training. The method really works.
melisa lalich: It's been about 20 years since my first briard was trained at first friend K9 and almost 20 years later, I am happy to report that the level of training my THIRD briard received this October, was just as skilled and impeccable as my first!I literally drove across the country from Phoenix Arizona so that my pup and I could benefit from the renowned skill and expertise that only Bruce McNabb and his crew can deliver. Dog training is unregulated in Arizona and anyone can call themselves a "trainer"and believe me, you can tell who's worked at PetSmart and now calls themselves an "expert" 🙄I won't and can't afford to trust my dog's training to just anyone with a t-shirt and business card.Bruce's training methods AND results (then and now) are truly amazing, long-lasting, and solid if you continue to reinforce what your dog has learned at first friend K9.Once again, I am grateful to Bruce and his staff for their dedication and the quality of training they invest into their dogs. It was totally worth every bit of the 1750 miles I drove to get my dog Sugarbear here to First Friend for their in kennel training programI cannot recommend First Friend K9 training services ENOUGH to anyone who is serious about having a well-behaved dog that will be accepted everywhere it goes and will be beloved and respected by all who encounter it's amazing manners and obedience. ❤️Highly satisfied and forever grateful,Melisa Lalich PHX AZ.**a special Thank You to Gabrielle for her dedication, consistency, and amazing results. TY 🐾🐾🐾
Gary Holmes: Great
Andrea Morgan: They are very patient and I really appreciate all the help and professional guidance with my puppy. I appreciate the philosophy behind the training and the sense of community in the classroom. I hope to take my puppy all the way to advanced training with their help.
Andrea White: We did board and train with our German Shepherd. Emily did a great job working through some issues we were having and reinforcing what she learned in puppy class. I highly recommend all of their classes, dog daycare, and board and train.
Boom boom Watts: Don’t go! My poor dog ended up dying that evening after he came home . The vet said it was bc he was beat and had internal bleeding. There is no way you should take any pet you love there. I still grieve my best friend.

Alpha K9 U: what do users think?
Debra Stouffer: Best place to train your dog. So many choices and activities. Dock diving, obedience classes, agility.
KT Berry: Sent my 9mo and 2yr old pups there together for Board and Train and now we have the 6 week package of training together.... great place, very happy!
Randy Walker: We love this place. Training oprions, boarding, playtime, swimming pool and great facilities.
francia salas: We emailed and asked about training, were told we could join the class that had already started okay great sent all the forms ect. That night we got lost were a few minutes behind, get there and no one was in front office. No one picks up the phone. In the office we can see there is a large room with people and their dogs but there is not a single sign saying how to get there, we ended up leaving. I emailed them back and told the woman hey this is what happened and she never replied to apologize or explain where we were supposed to even go. She knew we would be brand new, wouldn’t they keep an eye out? Or share directions to this random location somewhere in their building?Very disappointed in their customer service. I had seen some people love them and others complain about the communication and now I can see why.Don’t bother coming here.
Hannah Fuller: Very frustrated as they never answer their phones and send clients straight to voicemail
Alex Nowicki: Nothing but the best! Have continued to take care and be accommodating for our high maintenance pup!
Robert Boaz: Very good my dog does a lot better
Jason Osgood: Awesome place as soon as u walk in very helpful people showing us all the comforts of this facility.
Wendy's Woof World: We have been to 2 puppy classes and having A-blast.
Dawn Williams: Trainers and owner are very welcoming and patient.
Emily Slatt: Alpha K9 helped Walter, my high energy German Shepherd, learn some basic manners. Staff is friendly and professional and the facility is great. I can’t thank them or recommend them enough!
Judy Otis: They are not just good...they are the best.!!!!!!!
Taylor A: Alpha K9 has been such a wonderful experience for me and my dog. The staff is very kind and extremely well structured. They are always checking for our understanding and ask for our questions. My dog is a bit stubborn, but with their help he now knows his basic commands, and they even helped with other behavioral issues outside of what we learned in class. I cannot recommend this place enough. I'll be suggesting Alpha K9 to all my friends and family that need to put their dog into classes!
Hugh Hunkeler: I've had two dogs trained here, and it's eye opening to learn the right ways to communicate with your dog. There are a lot of ways where you can give your dog mixed signals, and training here is a good way for you to learn how to allow your dog to please you by following your commands.
Edwin Ratchaganathan: We have booked grooming for our puppy 3 months back and we have called couple of times and make sure the appointment. The day comes and we are excited and to drop our puppy. During that time, Lori was asking vaccines record and we told that we have already sent it. They have asked us to resent it and we did. Then, they have found expired rabies vaccine. They have asked us to get the vaccines and we bounce back to our vet and get the appointment and once again come back to K9. But This time she said she can’t take it until after the 24 hours of the vaccine. All the rules are really good. But no information upfront to us and we were running around and no help.Very important reason to write this review was how they (Lori) treated us. Very rude tone. They upset our whole day. If they continue the same style, I’m sure they will losing their position just matter of competition.I don’t recommend this place .. not professional or nice humans for our animals
Clayton Banks: If I could give them negative stars I would! The worst money I ever spent. We sent our dog there for 2 weeks they kept him 2 weeks and 3 days! I went to pick him up and he new a few commands as long as he was on a leash but off leash he didn’t follow any command and still doesn’t! We spent $1200 and nothing to show for it! I assumed that board and train meant they would get a lot of time with a trainer! We’ll come to find out they get an hour a day and not always with same trainer! I could have saved a lot of money and just had a trainer come to my house! He is no better now than when we first took him there!! Don’t waste your money on this place! You will be disappointed!!
Amber Good: A great place to learn how to communicate and live with your dogs according to doggie social-hierarchal behavior. Also a great place for them to safely learn how to swim. Bonus: if you're interested in learning the sport of dock diving, they are great instructors.
Sonya Ruedlinger: We have used Alpha K9 University for training, boarding, and grooming. It is easy to see that the trainers love what they do.With boarding, we know that our fur babies will be well cared for while we are away.I cannot recommend them highly enough!
Connie Pidgeon: Love this place Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable!
Bethany Carter: Staff were interactive and connective. Safety is valued and they ensure your dog has a positive experience. They are able to cater to different levels within a class.
Chad Pitt: Great training, our pup came home a new dog!
