Indira Camargo: I used to love Livery. When they opened I was number one fan and was my place to go. Yesterday, that completely changed. We ordered: the Crab tostada, yuca Fries, Picaña and the Chocolate tres leches. Number one disappointment was the presentation of the crab tostada, followed by the lack of elevated taste. The picaña was just OK but the “sofrito rice” was terrible, no flavor at all. Finally the tres leches was weirdly presented with some sort of chocolate icing on top (butter and chocolate), caramel ice-cream on the the side (I don’t get it), strawberries (ok) and whipped cream (why?).Drinks were great. Amelia Knopf: I hadn’t been to Tinker Street since The Before Times. It was every bit as magical as I remember. I don’t take food photos so you’re left to your own devices to imagine perfection. Went with friends, ate a metric ton, and everything was perfect. The fan favorites included: fried Korean mushrooms, pork something or other, pea risotto, ricotta donuts, and the bartender. Bartender was clutch.
Robin Thoman: We've enjoyed the restaurant many times before, often with friends. Each visit has been enjoyable and the food delectable. This B-Day visit was no different.I was disappointed and surprised to see an extra surcharge of 4% for back of house gratuity added. I deducted that forced gratuity from my typical 20% tip. As this is not customary in Indianapolis, it would be best to make every patron aware when reservations are made. This is the ONLY restaurant I've been charged this premium. If the "house" can't pay their kitchen team adequately from their gross receipts, they should charge more for the menu items. You might call me naive but our $220 dinner/$50 entrees (less tip) should easily afford the excellent back of the house team. Owners savings on the site, parking, the interior finish and screened pati dining should leave plenty of gross income after fair pay.
Ryan Crossley: Our service was not good at all and the food was SO MEDIOCRE. To start we asked to sit on the patio by the windows, but they sat us in the middle area even though no one was there. I had to ask our server the off menu specials which I shouldn't have to do. Tinker street is known for their off menu specials, and every table she served I heard the table ask as well.I ordered the mushroom hot pot, it tasted like hot water. No flavor at all. I added mushrooms to mine and they were 18 dollars extra. I wish my server would have told me because it was shocking when I got the billMy boyfriend got the pizza which had a really flavorful sauce but that was the only pro. He also got mushrooms added to the pizza because it was jusg cheese. Again 18 dollar charge.I got a spicy marg it was very good.I told my server it would have been nice if she would have told us the mushrooms added to the meal would have cost us 36 dollars.I was so disappointed with this place because I have heard nothing but great things. I will not be going back and I will never recommend anyone to go.

But I love steamed mussels so this was a good surprise. It was delicious.For dessert, if you have never tried it, try the donuts. You get 4 good sized donut holes and a very coffee tasting espresso sorbet on the side with chocolate sauce drizzled on the plate. The donuts are made in house and are possibly the best you will ever have. You really can't go wrong with it!One thing that I wasn't too excited about was the Pomelo cocktail. It was way too sweet. It is supposed to be a grapefruit vodka based cocktail but I could barely taste the bitterness of grapefruit from the sweetness. I still finished it because it tasted good but it just was not what I was prepared for at all. I feel like that needs to be made much less sweet or a warning put next to the description. :)

The bartenders are very friendly, the only reason this place sucks its because they give the preference of seating to the locals. The couple in front of us in line got seated right away. We were told it would be 45 mins. 2 1/2 hours later, they called us telling us there were 3 people ahead of us. How was that possible? The restaurants doesn't take reservations. We were forced to eat at the bar. As I mentioned, if you are not a local, you will have to wait to get seated a couple of hours. The restaurant was never more than half full yet our service was not good. We waited 30 minutes for drinks after being seated so it really set the tone for our whole experience.The food was overpriced, my husbands carne asada tacos were extremely small (3 tiny tacos for $25 - no sides). The guacamole was 5 slices of cucumber and weirdly chopped radishes atop avocado with several entire sprigs of cilantro on top. No effort in presentation.Underwhelming - expensive for what you’re getting. We had a reservation for 10 and it was not okay - that just added chairs to the end of a booth instead of seating us at rectangular tables together. And we could only seat 9 so we told the 10th person to just meet us after.The building was nice, decent aesthetic. Food was okay but experience very poor.

Ali Parvez: The menu is not too big which is typical of a Mexican place. The food is extremely delicious and the service is relatively quick. I tried the chips with three kinds of salsa and I have to say that it gave my palette a desirable workout. The tacos were simply amazing and the overall ambience of the place is a cherry on the top. My friend ordered a three milk cake that was presented in a very elegant bowl. Honestly it was more of a treat for my eyes than some of the posters I saw on the conference I attended that day.

Above average service by Armando our server and time from ordering until the food arrived was impressive (even on a Friday night) but not a great Mexican food compared to the rest of Indy. The chicken was above average, the steak below. Salas were decent , the hot one had the most flavor. Chips are home made but not warmed, the tortillas seemed like what you buy at the store. Definitely seems like a place for folks visiting the area or in a large group. They have locations in 2 or 3 other states (owned by a restaurant group with two or so other offerings)
Ryan Dotson: Not your average Mexican restaurant. Food was amazing! Think upscale/gourmet Mexican. Everything we got was so flavorful. Menu has your typical options, but also unexpected items you don’t usually see. We got the crispy Brussels sprouts for appetizer that were so delicious. Also recommend the tacos in pork al pastor. Good portions for the price. Even the chips and salsa is a notch above the rest. The restaurant itself has a fun and trendy atmosphere. If you’re in Indianapolis looking for something to eat, try Nada…you won’t be disappointed!

The service was excellent as well.Parking: The parking lot is mostly big enough, but street parking is also usually easy to get just outside the restaurant.

I should have known something was off when there was only one other table occupied that Sunday, Nov 20. 2022My fining companion ordered the soup which was bland and lukewarm. I ordered the Wellington meatballs which had the consistency, appearance and taste of chicken nuggets. I couldn’t eat them. For dinner he ordered the Bolognese which was too salty and inedible. I was anticipating my entree, osso buco a favorite. It was black, dry and stale. The risotto was mushy. The waitress, who was delightful, saw that I hadn’t touched it and took it off the bill. We then had a piece of chocolate cake which had a gray tint to it. It was so dry and stale that the icing actually fell off the cake. What an experience! In my opinion, the entire meal should have been comped not just my entree.I truly wanted to have a fine dining experience. I never expected what we encountered.
