Embassy Suites by Hilton Indianapolis Downtown: what do users think?
Lisa B: Stopped here with a friend for it’s walking location to many local spots & family proximity. I can not express how surprised we were when we arrived & the front desk informed us that there’s a Manager’s Cocktail hour & breakfast is served daily. There are coupons given out for the cocktail hour which consisted of everything from juice, soda, wine, beer & other libations. Breakfast was wonderful with a buffet consisting of hot & cold items & if you’d like to wait for the kitchen to open then the chef will make omelets, eggs any style, one morning was pancakes & the next morning were waffles, etc. the room was generous in size with a comfortable sitting room, the bathroom was okay (could use a little sprucing) and the bedroom was perfectly appointed & the bed very comfy. Lots of pillows & towels were easily accessible. The only thing I noticed was the a/c made a lot of noise but with that being said, our second night there (Saturday) the hallway was a bit noisy (next to elevator) and it drowned out a good amount of the Saturday night going ons.
Denise Bombagetti: Breakfast and exening reception was of very poor. A big let down from years ago.
Jason Albertson: Booked hotel for the pool on a vacation pool was only open the first night and they just said deal with it... only mediocre thing was the breakfastRooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More

Lora: Nice large suites, friendly staff, excellent breakfast buffet included, but need to pay for parking.
Michael Hall: We’re a family of six and we had a great time! Hotel is in the best area! Tons of food choices. Great views. Entire staff is fantastic!Only suggestion is change the air filter in room 1210. We loved it here and we will be back! Thank you all! Sidonia Martin: Check-in/ check out was fast. We stayed in a suite so we got added bonus bag of snacks and 2 free alcoholic drinks at the reception area. They even had free pop and snacks for the kids. Pool wasn't as big as the pics I saw, but decent seated couches around area to sit. Rooms were nice with separate living area with extra TV and kitchenette. Could have been cleaned a little better ( couch had stain). Beds were comfy. Parking garage was cheapest for being downtown ( $28 for all night vs $35-45), but elevator was dirty and smelly. Breakfast buffet was nice with omelet bar. Would go again as it's close to Circle Center Mall and other Indy attractions.
Kasey Attwood: Shout out to Dwayne - great customer service alwaysSafety: Safe and secure downtown areaWalkability: Great location for adult beverages and restaurantsNoteworthy details: Great social hour to relax after work.
Chari Weidert: Absolutely fabulous great atmosphere, cleanliness and customer service.Rooms: Spotless and very comfortableNearby activities: Shopping and dinningFood & drinks: Great food
Milly: This place is pretty cool, attached to the mall and numerous restaurants nearby I’ll be coming back.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Kid-friendly …More
Sperelakis Family: Early check in fees, garage still under construction, escalators still not working. Complete mess, and they want to charge you more. Only staying here to change my business status over to Hilton. Back to Marriott! Booked for over $250 a night, hope the $35 fee was worth it!Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Maria Jones: The hotel was under contruction so parking was difficult 😫 😑Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Brenda Sutton: Well-appointed rooms, helpful staff, great downtown location.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Stephanie Mason: Would not recommend. The escalators did not work. You can hear every little sound. When you call the for something you never get it. That paint was peeling from the ceiling in the shower. There was no trash cans in the room, stains on the furniture. You are paying for the name not a quality stay.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Harold Todd: The up escalator was constantly not working and the lobby level is on the 4th floor. A long climb with luggage or for anyone who has a heart condition. Staff attempted to fix it every day but by the 3rd day of it not running longer than a few minutes we decided that perhaps the hotel was trying to send us a message.Unlike the song Hotel California where you can check in but never leave, here you can leave but you can't check in.The garage is under repair so lots of noise and dust although they do have signs saying Pardon my Dust, taped to the portable handicap ramp. That assumes you can climb the up ramp as practice of climbing up to the 4th floor because the escalator is broken.Considering Hilton is charging premium prices while deleting services ( no room cleaning service until the 5th day) perhaps they were hoping the guests would fix the escalators. On 3 consecutive mornings when I visited the breakfast area (7.35 AM) there was no one cooking the much touted breakfast meals so it was soggy and cold scrambled eggs. The first day there were no forks and guest were using spoons which works with scrambled eggs so maybe this was intentional. I requested a fork but the staff person didn’t speak English and brought me a napkin.Like many Hilton properties, this location is overpriced and understaffed. For twenty-five years I would look for a Hilton property when I travelled. Now I try to avoid them and no doubt this will be my last year as a Diamond member. There are many better options and lots that offer both value and service.
fredrick williams: I stayed here a few weeks ago. I'm giving my stay here one star due to I seriously believe that Service is very important. I was evicted from my room due to a hotel mistake. Instead of waiting for me to return from work and clear up their mistakes, the hotel decided to evict me then question me once I returned. After some back and forth the mistakes were corrected. My compensation for this embarrassment isn't close to me making whole. I feel this location needs better organization and communication.
Dee: The rooms have been updated and they were clean. The bathroom door is a sliding door with no lock and wouldn’t close. They did send maintenance up and he tried but nothing he could do. The staff at check in did not include what the tickets were for or any information. Could tell she loved her job. The hotel is connected to couple restaurants and a mall that can be accessed without going outside.

Embassy Suites by Hilton Indianapolis North: what do users think?
Floyd Wilcox: I felt welcomed upon arriving, staff was very helpful, courteous and friendly. Facility is very nice, well set up, and clean. Definitely will be back. 5 stars!Rooms: Clean and spaciousWalkability: Very well set up. Very large place, but set up conveniently.Food & drinks: Outstanding food and drinks. Breakfast staff works hard to keep everything cleaned right up constantly. Evening staff was very friendly and professional.
Patrick M: You will be hard pressed to find another motel where you are treated as well as we were. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. There is a young lady there by the name of Rachel that worked extremely hard seeing to all our needs. She literally worked her tail off. We came as a very large group and we were all very pleased to stay here. During our stay a very large group of youths stayed a few nights for a tournament of some sort in the area. They were very poorly supervised by their guardians and pretty much ran amok everywhere. I just want it said the staff even treated them with dignity and respect even though they were downright hostile and belligerent when asked if they could regain some order over their wards. I would absolutely stay here again.Safety: There was a security guard on sight every nightWalkability: Anything you might need is within walking distanceNoteworthy details: The bar and restaurant are nice.
Misty Schenk: Room wasn’t the best. Front room with pull out sofa got very warm and the pullout mattress was horrific. Not the cleanest. We were on the 3rd floor and the window In bedroom slid open very easily with no screen in it so be careful if you have children. Only one extra pillow for pullout couch, when asking front desk for extra they didn’t have any. No hot tub fyi (online images show one). Pool is ok but so much chemicals our eyes burned all night. But I will say the complimentary breakfast was 5 star & the dining room staff were awesome. Almost made up for the room!
Andrew McGrenera: Dirty, outdated. The bedding and mattresses need to be replaced.I think the staff and management are doing their very best.
Laura Judge: Dirty bathroom floors and tub has ground in dirt. No real individual climate control. Told to use extra blanket if cold or open window if hot. Furniture needs to be replaced in areas- couch. Chair. Sticky ice bucket. Cracked outlet cover. Only clean rooms if request.Rooms: Dirty bathroom floors. Good size rooms but needs deep cleaning up and updates.
Shark'm For Dinner: The rooms we better than a normal hotel, had a few things that needed attention, but otherwise ok... the major problem was the other guests... Many families were attending as a dance and soccer competitions were taking place... leaving the kids to constantly run through the hallways... spitting over the balcony from the 8th floor.... where are the parents.... where is any type of security being enforce? For the price we paid... there should have been some sort of regulations to be upheld.
LondonCalling: Room Cleaning once in 4 days !!, and in generell the hotel is not very clean,The look out of my window to the roof below shows all full Plastik and can trash. This says to be a 4 star hotel and still all full of plastic, paper plates, plastik knifes and forks and Plastik cups for soft drinks. Really? Very noisy attrium.Employees not really interested in their guests, 3 ladies behind the counter rather playing on their cell phone than being attentive to incoming guests and greeting them.I do not feel welcome and appreciated as a guest.
Dave Donahue: Rooms are in desperate need of renovations. Carpet is ripped, stained, and old. That being said, the beds are comfortable, bathrooms are fine, and rooms have plenty of space. Nice complimentary breakfast included with cold and hot items, plus cook to order eggs. Also they have an evening happy hour with snacks and drinks included. The workout room is very nice by mid tier hotel standards - multiple treadmills, a peloton bike, weights, etc.
Courtney Elisa Collins: Beautiful hotel, I think our favorite part was the lobby/bar area -it was a walk down. When you looked up and around, the outside rooms were on balconies. The elevators were glass so you could see everything going up and down, Very cool! However, the rooms were not very cleanly, which was very disappointing compared to the rest of the ambiance of the hotel. This hotel is very close to restaurants, a Starbucks, and about 20 minutes from the children's museum. It felt cleaner in the rooms.Rooms: Sheets were dirty, floors were sticky, living area looked like it needed a deep clean. So to me that was not very cozy.Nearby activities: So many restaurants nearby, or just a highway away within 15min. We ended up trying bru burger On meridian Street, holy moly it was so good! large portions if you are a left over person! There also was a Starbucks right across the street from our hotel! This was perfect on the mornings before we started our day.Food & drinks: Delicious complementary breakfast. They also give you drink vouchers for cocktails and such.
Kristin Smith: The hotel staff was hustling to try and meet everyone’s needs during a busy time. The breakfast was really busy and ran out of items, but that wasn’t because the staff wasn’t working their tails off, they were trying so hard! The pool water was cold! That makes it so hard to enjoy.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Kid-friendly, Great value …More
Yolaunda Davis: Food & drinks: Breakfast was phenomenal! The Chef that makes the omelets is always nice and clean. She told me she had been there 30 years! I was amazed.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view, Kid-friendly …More
Sonya Williams: I have stayed at many hotels and when I chose Embassy Suites, I had high expectations since other locations I have stayed at have always been a great experience. Unfortunately, this location was beyond disappointing. At check in everything started good. The lady that helped me was pleasant and offered us complimentary water bottles which was nice. I did think it was was odd that they had a code of conduct policy that every guest was being asked to sign at check in. I was fine with it but now reflecting back that should have been our warning of what was yet to come. Upon check in the room was not very clean. There was a bug in the tub that I had to remove and hair in the sink. The surfaces on the tables and sleeping area looked like they hadn’t been wiped down. Floor needed to be vacuumed. The toiletries were not well stocked. There was only one roll of toilet tissue that was almost out and no back up was provided. I had to ask one of the nearby housekeeping ladies for another roll. The rest of the hotel was not what I would expect from an Embassy Suites. Trash was left on the floors in the halls. The elevators are so slow that we opted to take the stairs only to find that they were extremely wet from a leak and there were buckets and towels all over the stairways. It was very slippery and a hazard. This would be a dangerous situation if there was an emergency. We returned one afternoon to our room and there were dirty plates left outside our door and we didn’t even order room service! Every night between 11:30 pm and after midnight there were noisy guests running around and talking loud. At one point, we looked to see what was all the noise and at one point, we saw one of the hotel employees (maintenance) opening and slamming doors next to us. We called the front desk to see if they would handle the loud noises but no one did anything. So much for that code of conduct policy! We had no housekeeping the entire weekend so no fresh towels, toiletries, etc. We tried enjoying the pool and spa. It was a pool but where is the spa? The pool area was dirty and unattended. No pool towels were available. We ended up going back to our room. Also the televisions have terrible signals so the channels are unwatchable. What was supposed to be a nice family spring break with our kids turned out to be one of the worst hotel stays we have ever had. The only good thing I can say about this place is the breakfast was good but there was limited seating and one entire section was blocked off for a lacrosse team. We are a family with 2 small children so we had to sit at 2 separate tables. Again not the way I expected to spend breakfast with my family. Overall, we were very dissatisfied with our experience and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are better options out there probably for less than what we paid.
Michelle Mayhall: We won't be visiting here again. Flooded room on the 8th floor. Flooding in the stairwell. Dirty chairs in our room, deadbolt didn't work, microwave didn't fit in it's spot, not enough pillows, the phone in the room didn't work, nothing to darken the room from the hallway, and the room never got cool. The pool was packed and the water was gross. There were not enough towels for the number of kids in the pool.If you don't have the app for your ekey, forget about showing up between 4-7pm to check in. Or you'll wait 45 min for the one person at the front desk.Next morning, I took the kids to breakfast (the food was the only good experience) and when we went back up to the room (745ish), my ekey was disabled. The app thought we checked out?? Good thing my husband was still in the room to let us in.Not worth your money.
Angeline Tichenor: Rooms: Rooms were perfectly designed. Walk in to living room with couch dinning table, TV, fridge. Then bathroom and through another door two beds and another TV. PerfectRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury …More

Makenzie Garringer - Rzyski: I was here for a work conference and the overall set up for the conference went well. However, I have had extensive issues since checking out. I had reserved my room through a booking website provided by my organization for the conference. Here I paid ahead of time prior to my stay. When checking in the receptionist asked me for my card to put on file in case of incidentals. This charged the typical room rate; but I assumed it would be returned after check out. 5 business days post checkout the money had not been returned. So I called and the receptionist pulled up my previous stay; stating no incidentals were charged, rather they accidentally charged me 2x for the room. She said she was unable to help me with this issue, but attempted to direct me to both HR and general management. I had to leave a voicemail on both lines where I have not received any response back. I tried reaching back to reception to ask why they were unable to pickup the phone; reception would just respond rudely “I am not sure they are in their office, we have other customers to serve”. Here I am double charged for an already expensive room and hotel management doesn’t feel the need to reach out to me at all about the issue. I will definitely not be returning, as I don’t feel like a very welcomed guest and rather just taken advantage of. It’s sad when the credit card companies are willing to disputing a charge rather than the merchant themselves.

Eric Jones: I have stayed here twice and enjoyed both stays! Hotel is nice and clean. Rooms are spacious and modern. Bar and restaurant are good. Would recommend this I’ve either hotels in the area!
james cree: We have loved Embassy Suites every time we have come. It is literally our favorite hotel to go to not only because of the atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent kitchen staff (Greg/Savanna). I don’t think there is anything I don’t like about this hotel. I love taking walks through the halls, the elevator is very fast, pool is nice, plenty of conference rooms for any event. We used one for our Remsund company meeting last year and it was pretty big to accommodate what we needed for our staff. Girls love the fact of having a separate bedroom and living room/kitchenette. Downstairs has many areas set up like living rooms with fire place and TVs. Quiet areas to read a book or just think.
goladyybugg: I definitely want to give a shout out to the how fabulous my experience was at hotel. First of all all crewmembers I encountered were very friendly warm and greeted us with a smile… I must give a shout out to Savannah, Sandra and Greg.. they left a beautiful footprint in my memory.. Gavin Hamilton: Great hotel. Staff is GREAT - the breakfast and lounge area is great, especially for the drinks at night. This Embassy Suites gets it - having a staff of several people at the bar rather than one person moving at a glacial pace.Rooms are fantastic - comfortable, clean, nice - even on the 7th floor the shower pressure and hot water is wonderful.Would definitely return.
