Midwest Fertility Specialists: what do users think?
Stephanie Scramlin: I can’t rave enough about our experiences with Midwest Fertility. Dr O’Leary always took the time to listen to my husband and I and our concerns, and helped us on our journey to becoming parents. The medical staff, phlebotomists, ultrasound techs, and office staff were always so incredibly kind and professional and always made sure we felt comfortable. Nurse Rachel was so sweet and held my hand literally and figuratively through some of the difficult parts of this journey. We are forever grateful to Midwest Fertility for giving us the chance to be parents. Thank you!
jj basilis: note: this is an update & edit of previews review.everyones good & courteous, dr's are nice. everyone's a professional. building is nice . clean & well equipped facilities. we have to drive 2 hours 1- way, from our location.my only complaint is the lady drawing blood, that everyone has mentioned in other comments here already. the nurse they call "jackie". shes the one who draws blood.shes terrible in doing it. been poked many times in the hospital & various clinics & dont mind needles. but ive never seen anyone do what she did: literally pointing the needle in various directions : upward, downward then sideways & theres the "swim" in your arm. really very painful way! youd think she has "mastered" already the procedure. but no finesse at all.but thats only a minor issue.in the end, giving a low score because we didnt get what we came for - pregnancy. we followed all the instructions. but unfortunately nothing. we had been coming to the clinic for 3-4 years already. yet we are 0/4 for all the ivf attempts and iui.all ivf's implantation resulted in " chemical" pregnancies only. all ended in painful miscarriages!dr bopp had been very nice, kind & understanding but we felt he seemed to have been very "passive" and dont seem to have any idea about how to solve the problem(we understand that were not getting any younger).in desperation, we cut ties and consulted another clinic. started from the very beginning again ( tests, screens, selection, meds, etc).now, we could see & hear the heartbeat of our fetus!we felt like we wasted all those years and life savings of tens of thousands of dollars in this clinic.fingers crossed. good luck to all trying to have a family!
Allison Braitling: We researched many fertility clinics before deciding where we were going to go. After watching Dr. O’Leary’s video, I knew she was the doctor for us. She constantly goes above and beyond for her patients. She has been there to answer questions, offer support, and guide us every step of the way. Dr. O’Leary takes time to get to know her patients and pours her heart into ensuring that patients feel good about the decisions they are making. There are no other doctors like her! She is the best and I am so thankful for all she has done for us. There is no one else I would rather have guiding us on our fertility journey than Dr. O’Leary. She is amazing!
Shelby: Midwest Fertility is a terrible place. They would constantly lose paperwork, the staff was rude and uncaring, and they wouldn’t really try to help come up with a treatment plan. The one time I paid to meet with a Dr. to come up with a better treatment plan (Drs. don’t communicate for free) she wouldn’t stop checking her watch and wasn’t listening. I ended up leaving this place and going to a better fertility clinic where I am now pregnant with my 3rd child (all 3 pregnancies achieved through a better clinic). My recommendation is to avoid this place.
Katy Kinder: I waited to post this review until I was sure I had other options. My experience with Midwestern Fertility was absolutely atrocious from beginning to end. It started with the miserable woman they have taking in new patients. I called and left a voicemail stating that I was referred by my doctor and my sister and would like to get an appointment going. After 3 days I had heard nothing back so I called again. I stated when I was available because at the time I was a first grade teacher and couldn’t just answer the phone whenever. When she finally did call me back she called during a time I couldn’t answer and left a message telling me that it could take 11 days for a response and to STOP calling them. I called twice and no where did it say that it could take that long and that is not the norm for any doctor I have ever seen. This woman REFUSED to call me during a time that I could talk. I finally had to have the teacher across the hall watch my class form the hall so I could take the call. When I was finally able to get the appointment, Dr. Erica Will was 8 minutes late and rushed through everything so fast I couldn’t get a word in edgewise wise. She presented me with information about my previous ultrasounds that was WRONG and when I tried to tell her she was looking at the wrong ultra sound pretty much told me I was wrong. I was not. Nobody told me anything about the treatments being ordered for me, I had to call them and tell them that I was going on vacation and needed to adjust dates. I literally told them EXACTLY when I was leavening and they told me it was fine. Come to find out they put me right in the middle of my cation when all of my testing needed to be done. Everyone was so rude to me about THEIR mistake and refused to help me. They would not communicate with me even when I voiced my frustrations. All that being said, I did end up getting in with a new doctor through the hospital. I was shocked to find out with the same insurance it will be SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than what they were trying to charge me out of pocket. The new doctors and staff have also been nothing but kind, respectful, and communicative. Save your self the tears and find somewhere else to go. This is not how a business, let alone a fertility clinic should treat it’s patient who are already going through a hard time. They took something that should have been exciting and hopeful and turned it into even more pain. Hopefully I can at least help someone else not go through what I went through.
Julia Davenport-Drake: I have been working with Dr Erica Will for several rounds of IVF, and I just want to say that she’s probably the best doctor I’ve ever worked with, and I also ADORE Nurse Jackie. Both of them are very professional, compassionate, thorough, and knowledgeable. It breaks my heart to see a previous review mentioning Nurse Jackie, because she is literally one of my favourite people and incredibly good at her job. Our process would have been much more difficult had we worked with anyone else, and we are very thankful we get to work with both of these amazing ladies.
Christopher Saunders: My wife and I were patients of Dr.Will and have nothing but great things to say about her, however, something needs to be done with Nurse Jackie. Nurse Jackie has condescending attitude and rude behavior toward her patients. I referred a family member to Midwest Fertility Specialist and she is so upset about how she is treated by nurse Jackie that she is ready to give up on her treatment! I cannot believe that this institution can allow their staff to treat patients with such little respect. Your practice needs to calm down and listen to the needs of the patient, since, after all, your clients pay out of pocket. How disappointing for a hopeful journey to be tarnished by a bad attitude and poor patient compassion. I imagine based on the generic responses to the reviews that this matter won’t get handled. But maybe we can save somebody else the heart ache of dealing with Midwest Fertility and their rude staff - including the front desk staff. Way to make already difficult situations such as infertility that much more difficult!
M S: Clinic has limited hours. Call forwarding to “on call physician” is an endless loop. Reception just says that the office is closed. With all respect to personal time off, and perspective that I am totally hopped up on hormones, GET YOUR CALL SITUATION UNDER CONTROL!
Kristen Kenney: We can’t say enough good things about Dr. Erica Will, Nurse Jackie, and the MWFS staff. Dr. Will was wonderful from our first consultation, to egg retrieval, to our ERA mock cycle, to transfer and everything in between. She and Nurse Jackie are so kind, compassionate, and helpful! They walked us through every step, gave us all the information so we could make the best decisions for us, and always made us feel so comfortable and supported. All of the office staff from the desk staff, to the ultrasound techs, to the phlebotomist are very skilled, professional, and welcoming. Communication is excellent - there was never a moment when we felt confused or uninformed. We also called, after graduating, due to an issue at our first OB appointment and they got us in right away so we could have the reassurance we needed that everything is good. We are so excited for our baby girl, but sad to graduate from MWFS...we wish they could see us the whole pregnancy! We 100% recommend MWFS.
Christine King: So unlike most people who leave a great review Midwest Fertility was not able to help me due to a medical treatment I previously had that might have made me infertile. But I had Dr. Will and he is the most caring doctor I have met. He treats each case with the utmost care and concern and recognized me as a person with a real desire to conceive and not just a number. He also allowed me to determine when I wanted to stop treatment instead of making the decision for me. Although I was not able to save any eggs I am very grateful to have had such a great team at Midwest fertility.
Christine Basile: We researched clinics prior to selecting one and Midwest came highly recommended. The shortcomings are on two levels, one in customer service and the other in false advertising. First off, they DO NOT have an LGBTQ+ program. (They do in the Midwest sense that they do not actively discriminate against members of the queer community...) Every piece of paperwork says "mother and father," there is no space for gender identity or preferred pronouns, and one of us had to sign as "biological father" in every visit although it never applied. I guarantee a dead name will appear over all paperwork you encounter. Despite having taken pictures of each of us, we had to re-identify ourselves and were treated as an inconvenience for not fitting the heteronormative mold.We approached every appointment hopefully and inevitably left in a worse frame of mind then when we arrived. There are a few receptionists, nurses and a phlebotomist who appear genuinely happy to be there, and several who seemed to be generally miserable and take it out on everyone else. There was at least one organizational or communication issue in every appointment including when we were berated for not completing testing that no one had referenced at any point in our treatment. The straw that broke the camel's back was when a nurse rolled her eyes at us while discussing a lost pregnancy. I was in shock and couldn't believe that's what I had seen, but in checking with my partner it was.If you have any other options, go there. Particularly if you are a member of the queer community who wants to be treated with the most basic level of competence and understanding.
Lauren Vorbroker: Dr. Culver was our amazing doctor! I have an amazing, healthy, 2 year old boy and now another one on the way. All thanks to Dr. Culver and the amazing staff at Midwest Fertility! For anyone dealing with fertility issues, I highly recommend this facility.
tamara turner (Monique): Very professional and polite. Process was easy and the waiting time was minimal.
Megan Zelasko: I’m excited to share our experience with MWF. We met Dr. Will first in 2017 prior to conceiving our first after a year of no success on our own. He helped us identify an issue with the sperm count and directed us to a urologist who could do surgery to help the problem. We were able to conceive naturally after surgery. Fast-forward 2 years later and this time we needed some help with IUI and timing our cycles. On the 3rd try we had a successful pregnancy. I can’t share enough how helpful he and his staff were throughout the process. They were kind and understanding, and very transparent about their pricing. I highly recommend MWF and recommend you seek consultation sooner rather than later in your pregnancy journey, as early as 3-6 months if you have any concerns that there may be a problem concerning on your own, especially if you are over the age of 30.
Katey Yoder: Dr. Will is my doctor. I have felt so hopeless about getting my baby before I found Midwest Fertility. The whole staff is so great. Dr. Will is amazing and makes me feel very comfortable. He’s just awesome. I have only been a patient for a month and I already have gotten so many answers and we have a plan to get me pregnant. Can’t recommend this practice enough.
Morgan Rimstidt: I can’t say enough wonderful things about Midwest! The staff are so kind and welcomed my husband and I with open arms and I feel liked each one of them truly cared about me, my husband, our situation and our future baby. Dr. Will was fantastic! He laid out all of our options and helped us weigh the pros and cons of each. He gave us time to process and decide on a plan of action and supported us in the path we chose. Emily was also a fantastic nurse! She answered all of my million questions so quickly and without judgment. We are now happily 10 weeks along with our little miracle and we owe it all to the wonderful humans at Midwest! Thank you all for all that you do!
Pita Perez: Thank You to Dr. will with helping us start a family and to the staff. Didn't think this was possible. I strongly recommend this place.
Casandra Bercaw: We went through ivf for a year with nothing but heartach and failure and eventually gave up. We wanted a baby so badly it hurt. After taking a long break, we decided to schedule a consultation with Dr. Erica Will. We were scared and excited at the same time. Dr. Will was compassionate and understanding from the very beginning. Everyone in the office was so wonderful to us through it all. We always felt welcome and like they were on our side. They made us feel like more than just another couple. We are ten weeks pregnant and so excited to be on this journey. We are so thankful to Midwest fertility for helping us continue our family. Highly recommended!
Danielillou daniel's: I am very disappointed with the staffIt's very confusing.
Julie B: Was easy to self-refer and make an appt. never had trouble with getting an appt when needed. Easy communication via patient portal. Great group to work with.
Bridget Sano: After a year of trying to conceive, we sought the care of Dr. Matthew Will at Midwest. His compassion and understanding for our experience of secondary infertility is something we will always be thankful for. He developed a plan for testing/exams to diagnose our issue, listened to our concerns and along with his wonderful nurse, Emily, gave us the best gift we could ask for- a healthy pregnancy. We are so thankful to all of the staff at Midwest for their positive attitudes and a willingness to meet our needs as they arose. We would recommend them without a doubt. He is one of the very best physicians I have ever seen.

Reproductive Care of Indiana: what do users think?
Just James: Dr. Henry is a quack if there ever was one, who should have his license revoked. He is unprofessional, rude, and has such a low success rate that its pathetic. I wouldn't recommend this fraud doctor to my worse enemy. He should not be a doctor! A pure quack!
Five Pillars Mutual Trust Fund, LLC: The staffs specially the practice manager Kristen Carr was very unprofessional and pain in a** to deal with.
Jessie Vargas: Dr. Henry is amazing. He is very smart. He also is very caring and always makes sure I'm comfortable. We did IVF with him. We are currently 7 weeks with twins on our first try. I'm so incredibly thankful for Dr. Henry and his team of nurses. I love Jamie, Danielle and Megan. They have went above and beyond to help me through this process. They all are super kind. Definitely recommend Henry Fertility.
Natalie Weiss: Love this clinic. They gave me my beautiful, healthy baby girl. The whole office is great and supportive.
rebecca dickerson: Very disappointed in how the handling of insurance went here. I was not given any financial breakdown until last minute because I requested it, at which point I was informed the dr and his office was in my insurance network however the IVF lab was not so I would need to pay an additional 7k I had not planned for. I had already started medications and spent over 4k in medicine alone. They could not get me any final numbers or a clear answer on any of what my end payment would be on the day of the procedure. Due to the stress and lack of information I stopped the medications and informed them I would not be moving forward. They did not even give the courtesy of a reply to my email to say anything. Very disappointing after they were recommended. When I met with the Dr I was quite impressed, but given the situation I think we will need to look elsewhere.
Shelby: I had an amazing experience with Dr. Henry and his staff. They're all wonderful people and very kind. They took the time to really help my wife and I and without them I wouldn't have my amazing family. I always recommend Dr. Henry whenever anyone is in need or fertility assistance. He truly cares about everyone that comes into his clinic and I'm thankful to have met him.
Miranda Hummel: I came to Dr. Henry after two miscarriages. I had previous bloodwork from my OB which he didn’t seem concerned seeing. Once he saw it he didn’t seemed concerned either. In fact when I asked him if I should have my thyroid tested he said “ya sure, anything else you would like tested? I know you’re a very diligent women “ I thought well aren’t you the doctor? Why aren’t you recommending bloodwork and educating me?. I miscarried my baby at 12 weeks pregnant. Flash forward to the present, I’ve seen two different RE’s and both are blown away at the delinquency of Dr. Henry’s care. I have hoshimotos, which is an autoimmune disease that is linked to miscarriage when thyroid levels are out of sorts. Also I have ANA antibodies which is also linked to miscarriage. None of these were a concern for Dr. Henry. Ive learned so much from my present doctors and none of the info was given to me by Henry. I do absolutely Think my daughter would be alive today if it wasn’t for this man. After those three miscarriages mentioned above I’m now 37 weeks pregnant with a uncomplicated pregnancy. I’ve had all levels checked multiple times in this pregnancy with the help of levothyroxine and doctors are taking great care of me. All things any doctor who cared would have checked.
Alison Banks: I heard good things about Dr. Henry and we were excited to begin the process of starting a family. The two consultations I had with Dr. Henry went ok. He gave a basic overview of the process and then sent in a nurse to provide more details. She seemed pretty clueless and just read instructions off a sheet of paper. We did finally get the info we needed (so we thought) after asking a lot questions. This is all new to me so I didn't want to judge too fast. Since then, I have been given conflicting instructions and information and on multiple occasions my inquiries weren't answered until I let them know that I'm moving on to another doctor. Twice, we were ready to begin the process and purchased medications only to find out that there was a step we missed and couldn't move forward. I was already nervous about this process and Dr. Henry's office not only increased that anxiety, they wasted a lot of my valuable time. We ultimately found another doctor and they are already exceeding expectations.
Tracyanne Molnar: My wife and I were referred to Dr. Henry when we decided to proceed with a reciprocal IVF procedure after failing to become pregnant through mulitple IUI attempts. (We learned there is special licensing for this procedure that our doctor at the time did not have) From the very beginning, he and his nurses made us feel right at home and fully supported our choices. Dr. Henry took the time to answer our countless questions and thoroughly explain the process. His nurses were just as amazing and helpful through the whole process. Dr. Henry was just as amazing and supportive when we miscarried after our first transfer. Throughout the whole process we were never pressured in any way. All of our questions, whether related to meds, recovery, whatever were answered with patience and kindness. We have kept in touch with him even after the birth of our son as we are considering another IVF procedure using my own eggs. Dr. Henry has even reached out to answer questions I have asked his nurses. I highly reccommend Dr. Henry and his office for whatever your fertility needs may be!
Courtney Ozminkowski: Our first appointment with Dr. Henry set the stage for what was an amazing experience! From the receptionist to Dr. Henry himself. Everyone was so friendly, helpful and down to earth. In December 2019, we welcomed our first child. We have recommended Dr. Henry and staff to a few family members and friends.
Jessica Viney: Dr Henry and his staff were excellent to work with, and the nurses were so kind and listened to my needs during my cycle.
Autumn Miller: We can't thank Dr. Henry and his staff enough for all they did for us! We would reccomend Henry Fertility to anyone! Great, friendly people who truly care!
Dannie C: Amazing doctor and staff!!! Highly recommend!!I had to come back and update this review. This office gave me my child. Without them I would not have my amazing little boy. Their staff made it so easy and I felt very comfortable talking to the doctor. The appointments were held in a calm atmosphere and things were done at my own pace. They're prices are very reasonable, considering what they are doing for women, couples, and entire families. They make having children possible, even when you think it is impossible. If I ever wanted to have another child, I would definitely go back.
Yuri Harmon: Dr. Henry and his team were able to make my dream to become a mother true! I was a patient in 2012 when I became pregnant with my first son and later in 2017 when I became pregnant with my twins. Dr. Henry is very caring but not fluffy and he is very straight forward, which I prefer. The nurses were so kind and very responsive to me or my insurance, in case they needed additional documentation to cover medication.I recommend Dr. Henry and his team. Just keep these in mind: is IVF expensive? YES- is infertility difficult? YES- do you want positive results? YES- so focus on the big picture and don't get frustrated with the little things. I kept my mind on the goal and thanks to Dr Henry and team, I now have 3 kids!
angelnichole620: We're still working with Dr. Henry and his staff to get pregnant but so far, we're have only had amazing experiences. I've been seeing Dr. Henry for about a year now and he's been amazing each and every time. Highly, highly recommend!
be th hundley: Highly disappointed in the staff at Henry fertility. Starting with the rude receptionist and lack of communication from the staff we only did one cycle. My pharmacy was held up by the doctor not filling out the dose of medicine on my prescription which lead me to take the medicine late. I had to called the day of my scan to find out when to take the trigger shot. The office was closed by the time I called since they close early Friday’s . They also charge a consultation fee which I wasn’t aware of until after the bill came in. Just disappointed all around.
Hunter Keeling: You couldn't choose a better Dr. and staff than at Henry Fertility! Dr. Henry, the nurses, and other office staff all take the time to get to know you, and make it so you aren't just a patient or stat. It was always easy for me to get appointments when I called, and I never waited long once I arrived. At each appointment, I never felt rushed and all of my questions were always answered thoroughly. The nurses and office administrator were also always very quick to respond to emails. Without Henry Fertility, we wouldn't have gotten our miracle baby. Henry Fertility definitely provides quality care, and I highly recommend them to anyone in the same shoes as we were.

Community Fertility Care: David E. Carnovale, MD: what do users think?
M F: Absolutely the worst fertility Doctor you could ever go to. He is only in it for the numbers. If you don't meet his high standards then you are declined. He would rather send you away crying then even try to help you. He needs to resign. All the fertility doctors around Indy talk so bad of him.
Maggie Cunningham: I’m still in the thick of it with my IVF journey but I just have to gush about how much I love each and every person in this office! Dr. Carnovale is truly a kind person. He goes above and beyond and doesn’t think anything of it. I’ve had to call a couple times after hours with concerns and he is so gracious about it, and truly cares. He’s smart and humble. I 100% trust that he has my best interest in mind. Now to the nurses…EXCEPTIONAL. Caring, positive, funny, and just good-hearted people! I feel like I’m hanging out with family when I’m with them. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. As much as I hope to “graduate” from this place one day, I at least get to enjoy this part of my journey knowing I’m in good hands and with people who love what they do and care about their patients. THANK YOU thank you thank you!
Natalie Weiss: I wouldn't go here. The office staff members filed my insurance claim incorrectly so I had a huge bill to pay, even though insurance would have covered it had the office filed the claim correctly. I called and asked the office to refile the claim and they refused to do so.They did this to my sister too. The office staff members are really unprofessional. Also, he made me do a procedure I did not want to do.Update* they fixed the issue but I had to go through the hospital’s appeals process which was annoying.
Adam Allen: Dr Carnovale is so patient, kind, and very knowledgeable. He helped us conceive our daughter and the process was so smooth. They have thought of everything! All his staff is so kind and really makes you feel at ease. He never over promises anything and will do everything in his power to help you. I can not say enough good things about him, his team, and the whole process!
SugarKitty: Poor choice for a fertility doctor! My wonderful doctor from my first child retired so I went to Dr. Carnovale. All my records were transferred. I got pregnant right away, but Dr. Carnovale only had me taking 1 progesterone pill, but I should have been on 2. It said this in my prior records from the previous doctor. I then had a miscarriage because of him. After this, he said I had a fibroid and had to do surgery before I try and get pregnant again. We did the surgery, but he never found the fibroid. So sad!!! I feel like he was out for money rather than helping me. I would definitely not recommend him at all. We ended up going to Midwest Fertility and loved them and had no problems at all!!!
Radhika Kodumuri: Dr. Carnovale is the best have ever seen in my 10 years of infertility journey. His diagnosis and treatment are to the point, explains everything before the treatment and always optimistic. Our first attempt failed with him but then he figured out the root cause and did ended up with success the next cycle. We now have wonderful healthy 9 month old baby boy. Many thanks to Carnovale and his team. You are such a blessing to couples fighting with infertility.
Gregg Goodrich: We tried and failed at another IVF clinic before our insurance company led us to Dr. Carnovale. We have twins now so 5 stars. His staff and Dr. Bolt are great.
Angela Jones: I have nothing but great things to say about Dr Carnovale and his entire staff. I found him to be incredibly kind, caring, and compassionate. I even saw him out and about once and he was kind! He and his entire staff treated us fairly, discussed our treatment plan, and was so careful to get us in the office in a timely manner for appointments. Now that I have moved away from Indianapolis, I'm left really clueless as to who should help me along the journey to get to another baby. We trust definitely trust God and know it's all His doing but, we are certainly glad He orchestrated us to meet Dr. Carnovale to assist us in the journey!
Ray Gee: I haven't been serviced by this doctor but I don't think I will be either considering the rude and awful women I spoke to over the phone . She was horrible and acted as if I was a problem.
Mary Edwards: Dr. Carnovale and his staff are wonderful!!
Robert Medlock: As a veterinarian and a practice owner for many years, I know a fair bit about medicine, patient care and good costomer service. My wife and I have been on a 5 year journey in effort to have a child. We have seen many doctors along this path. We saw Dr. Carnovale years ago and we were very impressed. As is often the case, life happened and we moved so we opted to try doctors that were closer. When we experince these other options, not once did we feel like anything beyond a faceless patient. For the past several months we have been working with Dr Carnovale and his staff. We should have never left. This group of outstanding people have been the most competent, caring and professional folks we have ever delt with. We do not yet now how this path will end, but we will never regret our decision to go those extra miles and place our lives back in their care. Thank you Dr. Carnovale and all the wonderful nurses and staff for being so wonderful 😊
Jay Angels: I would highly recommend, before doing any type of surgery or treatment with Dr. Carnovale, to get a second opinion. The only "solution" he presented was the most expensive treatment option, and after getting a second opinion we feel EXTREMELY mis-led.
