LIFT Academy: what do users think?
Nate Skeen: 4 months in and love this school! I did research and LIFT made it seamless to apply and communication while going through the application process was spectacular compared to some other programs I was looking into at the time. I chose the new Myrtle Beach location and it's great, they give you a list of close options to stay at and I chose the closest area and I am able to walk to school if I want. The staff is great and the flight instructors are very helpful and spend extra time on areas you are weak on. I started with 0 hours and will hopefully be thru the program in January. Big perks for being able to fly over the beach and coast each lesson.
Addison Winslow: Excellent orientation and communication by Spencer and the team. Compared to other programs, their transparency is night and day. Happy to call this my school!
macie rich: I had a lot of questions when I called; April in the application department was very efficient and took the time to explain things to me in an easy to understand way. April was extremely accommodating which made this by far the easiest customer service call I’ve ever had.
The Tiny House Chef: My experience at LIFT was, overall, excellent.Yes I experienced some setbacks and training delays however I took responsibility for my shortcomings, sought help where/when needed and was supported by the staff and company. I was able to complete my training in just over 10 months (including several weeks when the company was forced to close for COVID). During my training I was frustrated by flight operations from Indy as it's a very busy airport and flight delays were frequent. In hindsight this was the best possible training environment for someone seeking a career as a pilot, it prepared me to be a professional aviator and not a weekend warrior. Over the past 2.5 years I have had the opportunity to fly other aircraft, work with pilots trained in other countries, ferry aircraft internationally, and teach students through part 61 and 141 curriculum. I can honestly say that my training at LIFT prepared me more for a career in aviation than I could ever have anticipated. Many of the things that caused me frustration during my training (busy airspace, faster aircraft, more advanced technology, stricter requirements, etc.) set me up for success as an aviator. If you're still wondering if aviation is for you, I strongly recommend going to your local small airport and taking several (at least three or four) 1-hour flights with a flight instructor before committing to a program like LIFT. If you're ready to put in the work, and take your career to new heights, I strongly recommend LIFT Academy!
Reggie: I traveled 600+ miles for them to tell me that I am too tall to fly their planes. If you are 6ft don’t bother applying here because you will be too tall to fly their aircraft’s. The staff was awesome though.
Christy Perez: Completed my Aircraft Maintenance apprenticeship here, and got my A&P after 2 1/2 years. Work hard, ask questions, and learn as much as you can. Thank you LIFT for the opportunity ❤️
Abby Perlata: WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL!!!!!Many of the instructors and staff are on a power trip and seemingly take out their own anger and insecurities on their students. The instructors are only there to fill hours, and couldn’t care less about their student’s success or their teaching. There doesn’t seem to be a core curriculum for the instructors, so they go off of what they think you need to know. You get passed off between instructors and are expected to know different things than the last, nothing about what you are learning is cohesive. They may drop you from the school, or if you stay long enough you might want to off yourself due to the toxic environment. I urge you not to go to this school where there only priority is making money. Save your money and go to a legitimate flight school.
Trevis Bright: Big promises with poor delivery.
Mike Hunt: i’d rather get my pp chopped off and eat it than go back here.
Nikia O'Hearn: Great education and training center for young pilots in training...
darkhorse4955: Extremely poor communication. Go in with your eyes open.
Miranda: Apply somewhere else! Not only is Lift Academy a very toxic environment, but the weather for flying isn't the best. You will be flying in and out of the Indianapolis Airport, which means it will almost take 30-40 minutes before you actually start your lesson. Time that you are paying for! You don't get consistency with having the same instructor; they will switch you around all the time. They say training should only take about a year... Plan for almost 2, that's the average it takes a student. Once/if hired, plan another 2 years of flight instructing for lack of students/weather. They expect you to be full time on a part time schedule. You will definitely need a second job. DO NOT fly at this school!! You will be disappointed, and most everyone there regrets their choices.
Carolyn Brien: Where do you start... I would not recommend this school to anyone. When you reach out to get hours owed to you and to discuss issues you felt needed to be addressed at Lift, the Director of Flight & Safety simply blocks your emails, no response either from anyone else . There is no responsibility or support from Lift staff and the Instructors are not accountable either. My son has had to pay a new school to retake all the lessons he had already paid for through lift. No care, no responsibility. But at least they got paid.
Shane Haney: Extremely professional staff that always seem to be willing to answer questions for those if us interested in enrolling in their flight academy.
Jake: I started flying with LIFT Academy August of 2019 and was withdrawn late February of 2020. At first everything was okay, but then I started realizing all the flaws this school has. After 1 month, the school changed my instructors and I was now assigned to a guy who was not even an instructor yet. While he was in the process of becoming certified (it took a month), I was in limbo with 4 different instructors who all had different ideas of right vs. wrong, different minimums, and mainly all were there simply to gain hours rather than actually teach. With the weather not being great during the winter months, I wasn't able to fly regularly. With all the different instructors, I failed tests and needed retraining sessions. I was in a cycle of failure and retrain only adding hours to my log book and getting nowhere. I failed tests and was grounded (not able to fly until meeting with administrator). November I flew 3 times and September I flew 5 times. At one point I didn't fly for over a month. This was not just me though, fellow students were going through the same thing I later realized. The school was bringing in classes of 30-40 students a month with only 29 instructors and I'm guessing maybe 30 planes with room for no more. The instructors are there only to be pushed through the course as fast as possible and onto Republic. None of which seemed to want to actually teach anything, but rather just sit there and gain flight hours while I fly the plane (cross countries are their favorite). I have 76 hours and no private pilots license. I soloed in a traffic pattern once, but no cross country solo. Keep in mind, since I wasn't able to fly regularly, this called for retraining sessions (more flight hours = more $ you spend). I was set up for failure and so are other students. I'm now roughly $10k in debt and still... once again... have no private pilot license. I don't recommend going here.
Skyler Bennett: Positive:Professionalism,Quality
Edward Reinhart: Awesome Flight Academy!!
David Rosario: Best Flying Academy!!!

Vincennes University Aviation Technology Center: what do users think?
Jerry Dinger: I am a 1987 graduate of the Aviation Technology program. I have really enjoyed my career as an A&P mechanic and Avionics Technician. 10 years with ATA, 25 years with Fedex.
Jessica Calvert: My teen son takes a high school aviation class here. Facility is impeccably clean, he loves his instructor and says he's very knowledgeable. He's helped my son who also is doing groundwork and flight lessons to get his private pilot license. Highly recommend for kids interested in this field.
Robert Calvert: Parking lot is huge. Plenty of spaces. The place is easy to find. That's really all I know. My kid is taking classes here. He seems to like it a lot. Building is nice and is pretty big. Yeah, that's it. That's what I know. Have fun?
Scottie B: Got invited to watch flight 1 simulator flight. It was awesome if you have a kiddo 8-17 give it a try.
Cole Custer: Building and hangars are always exceptionally clean. Faculty is friendly.
Caleb Hackett: Amazing school! You can learn so much from the variety of experience the instructors hold and they are all there to make sure you learn what you need to know. They wont hand you your A&P, but they give you all the tools you need to succeed. You are making the right choice if you decide to attend here.Good labs, functioning aircraft including a 737, several functioning engine stands, new and nice facility, good class rooms, great instructors, job placement with one well connected instructor and companies come in all the time to try to recruit new employees from GE to composite facilities.

Indy Flight Training: what do users think?
John Klein: I started my flight training here in May 2021. When i was looking at schools, the chief pilot told me that his instructors were professionals and not looking to just log flight time for the airlines yet both of my primary instructors were doing exactly that. 8 months and 44 hours later I had not soloed. Based on my experience, this school has a unique philosophy with regards to sequence and timing. At best, the training "schedule" felt chaotic and at worst I felt like I was being milked for hours of plane rental and instructor time. I regret going here and finished my training elsewhere that I felt had a greater sense of urgency and care for their students' time and money.
Antoine Comeau: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
Franchesca Turco: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueA fantastic flight training center and John Mauch is a fabulous flight instructor. I highly recommend them
Samuel Strauss: Aircraft are new, instructors are amazing, good rates, easy scheduling. Cheap discovery flights too. They really care about your success!
Josh R: Just recently finished getting my private pilots license and it went great! Very professional school and never had any issues with scheduling or instructors. I got my license in a timely manor (below national average) and my checkride examiner said I was an above average student and that he likes what the school focuses on in terms of practicality and safety when teaching. Also was provided discounts when scheduling couldn’t work, which rarely happened. 5/5
Sam Lipps: Great instructors with great airplanes and airport staff. I would highly recommend this for students and general aviation flying. A very friendly learning environment.
Jonathan Zeh: Positive:Quality,ValueI had the opportunity to do a discovery flight here and it was awesome. Everyone here was very helpful and knowledgable.

Jeff Air Pilot Services: what do users think?
Andrea Milioto: A great place to learn! Amazing instructors and great dedication from the staff. Getting/finishing my PPL was made relatively easy with consistent group study sessions and rigorous check-ride prep.
David knowlton: Very friendly people and with helpful information.
Jason Lewis: Nothing but great things to say about Jeff Air. All of the staff are friendly and knowledgeable - they take the time to answer any questions you may have about potential flight training, rentals, discovery flights.. etc. The flight instructors are top notch and professional. They go above and beyond to make sure you get the best training during your time on the ground and in the sky. With a large fleet of C172's they offer plenty of options for training / rentals with competitive rates. Check 'em out and you will not be disappointed!I choose to fly with Jeff Air because of the friendly staff, knowledgeable CFI's and the well maintained fleet they provide.
Arnaldo Collazo: I obtained my PPL with Jeff. Since day one I felt like I was part of their family. I got treated with respect and they were always straight forward. Really nice fleet of 172s, no hidden fees. Highly recommended! Shout out to my CFI, Dellarosa!
Michael Burke: Discovery flight was awesome my CFI her name was Clarice was awesome as well easy to understand the entire staff was professional and personable.
Matthew Thompson: Passionate, Professional and Cost CompetitiveI trained and achieved my PPL and IFR Rating with Jeff Air Services after looking at other training options in the area. The staff are amazing and the CFI(I)s are passionate about what they do! Prices in comparison to others schools are super competitive and with a fleet of nine planes you're able to get your ratings as quickly as you want! Fly Jeff Air and you won't regret it!Thanks Scott, Larry, Gretchen, Emily, Tom and the Line Crew at Greenwood!
Dalton Heppeard: I came here because I had been STRUGGLING to get my private pilot at another school. This school really simplified things and made it easy for me, they really try and put you with an instructor that fits your personality. My instructor was great and really helped me a lot! Within 3 months I had my PPL! (Private Pilots License). Not only did I get what I came for but they care about saving your money there, they didn’t try and burn me up on the clock like some schools will. They cared about saving me money while getting my license. Yes a PPL can be expensive to get, from my personal experience at this school. They are not out to get your money, they are there to help you and make you a professional pilot. They honestly care and do there very best.
Tom Cuneo: My wife got me a discovery flight for my birthday. Flying was something i always wanted to try. WOW! What an amazing experience. Garrett was our CFI and he was awesome! If you are looking to do a discovery flight, i definitely recommend Jeff's and Garrett specifically. Can't wait to start taking lessons.
Jim Cooper: Great place
Bob Ballard: Everyone at Jeff Air are very nice and helpful. Great place to learn to fly an airplane.
Guy Sorensen: Very Professional and honest. Had a great discovery flight with Scott.
Al Hill: Great place to land
Edward End: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueI enjoyed getting my private pilot's license from Jeff Air. The staff knows how to pilot well and was kind when I didn't :)
Jason Bush: Courteous staff, clean testing room.
Brendan Kay: Jeff Air is a great place to rent planes from! Very easy to book their planes online and because of the many planes they have you almost always can rent one for the times you need. Most importantly the staff are all very friendly, helpful and accommodating.
Alan Braswell: Recieved my PPL from them 2 years ago and they have always been a Top Tier flight school. Great staff
Mike McQuinn: Great instructors and services.
Nathan Sparks: As an FAA written testing site, the folks here are amazing! They're always friendly and accommodating. I'll keep coming back and refer them as well!
Rick Dubbs: There was no one home. I called to get information on FAA part 107 testing, and left voicemail. I never got a callback. I got the information I needed from Tom Wood Aviation, and got a 92% on my test yesterday.
Ron Berry: Excellent in every way and every category imaginable!!!!
Musa TheNomad: Loving my experience learning to fly with Tom. Very knowledgeable and patient. Everyone is super friendly and it's fun.

Ivy Tech Community College: what do users think?
Destiny Watson: Charged me for a class (that was covered by financial aid) I had taken months ago due to a mistake my advisor made (she changed my major to a certificate, and my major to a minor). I applied for ivy cares two months ago and have still heard absolutely nothing. I have three classes left to graduate, and cannot continue due to the charge and slack from ivy cares. This school isn’t helpful whatsoever and all they care about is money. (Edit: I have currently stopped attending ivy tech until they get it together. This school is truly a joke.)
Victoria Jones: There food was bad
Amy Pratt: I am sitting in a study room that is 80 degrees. Turn on the air conditioning and quit being cheap.
Shemar Brooks: Awful awful awful college, if you can afford to go somewhere else pls do cuz these people are not worth your time, energy and money. They need to revamp their whole admissions staff maynn when I tell ya they ain’t worth i literally mean it
T. Green: So far this has been a horrible experience for my child who is undecided on her major I feel that ivy tech is now just floating her around for her scholarship.....this is unfair and the reason everyone child gets left behind in IN unbelievable getting and picking a major and classes should not be this hard for a 19 year old trying to make a way.
Ryan Hyatt: There is an absolute Karen in the Indy Bursars office.
brandon lewis: This institution is a joke! Do not attend ivy tech! They don't teach or communicate with people and they'll cost you tuition money by NOT turning in your paperwork on time! If you're using AYD they'll never send your info and you'll have to pay out of pocket. Hopefully Chanda Lee Rodski isn't over your stuff because she doesn't respond to emails or be in office.
l.os. I: Very good
Madeli Vazquez: I have been a victim of identity theft here at this college and I have contacted the administration office about it and they ignored my dispute. They are still receiving disbursement for this felon! Attending their college, while I have been sending proof that I am in another state and it’s not me attending . Public please do not attend this college .
Carlos Rodriguez: Read this review . Do not , do not ...come here . I took some classes online and the teachers were never there to answer questions..and ended up owing money they 've said I owed but it was not true ..they scammed me to pay them ..they are just there to steal..stealing stimulus check or whatever they can have their hand on.. This education is low, low quality.
Korrine Clayton: The job fair was worth the time. Met with a bunch of companies and have a few follow ups in the works.
Jeffrey Wheeler: My experience with Ivy tech as been a mixed bag. It's more affordable than other colleges. I have had some amazing instructors. However, the classes seem very watered down. It feels like I'm really not learning anything. Some of the instructors aren't best at teaching. Ivy tech is overall alright.
Nicole Demetris: I have never been
Kwami Ahiableame: Is good school and cheeper you have so much to learn. The school have some games you can play and win a prize.
Brad OntheGo: Here for a conference. FutureCon 2022 on 7/20/22. Good functional space for conf venue and plenty of parking.
Faith Volpe: I went here back in 2009, and have a TON of loans for a useless degree. Don't believe them when they tell you of your career and financial prospects coming out and how you will be able to repay the money you borrowed like it's no big deal. As a 19 year old, I had NO idea what I was getting myself into and now wish I had never gone to college. After you're all signed up, the advisors will be unavailable or impossible to contact. You will wind up like everyone else drowning in useless debt. Don't go here.
Nichole Berry: I am a student here and I love coming to this place of environment😊🙏🏾❤
Marie B.: I attended this school for a certificate I was interested in but getting through the courses with some unprofessional instructor who never knew answers to your questions was a complete disappointment, frustrating and stressful school. This was the most unorganized college I’ve ever attended. No one is on the same page at this university. I received my undergrad and master degree from IUPUI and the professors and staff there was nothing like IVY Tech. IUPUI was structured and organized and they wanted their students to be successful in completing their program. I never attended a college that had no guidance for there students to ensure they are successful in their academic year. Everything just seem to be so unorganized and discombobulated at IVY Tech, I would not recommend this college to anyone. You get what you pay for, if you pay cheap tuition you will receive poor education, I see why this college has a low graduation rate. It’s not worth the headache.
Johan Ramirez: They have too many people there just "sittin' on @$$." The bursar's office is a joke. Their advice was literally "you can go there to figure it out." The express enrollment agent made some off-color remarks about not liking the work shirt I was wearing, and I'm still trying to process. You go to this place for academic enlightening and instead you get made fun of or looked at differently because of where you work.
Evangelyn Richter: Earned my Associates degree from Ivy Tech in 2020. They have a wide range of class choices that are all affordable. I enrolled in the Ivy Tech/IUPUI Passport Program to complete my Bachelors at IUPUI (just graduated with my BA a couple weeks ago!) and all my Ivy Tech credits transferred over without any problems.Leslie Busch was my advisor and she worked really hard to make sure every class I took would transfer successfully in the Passport program, and helped me to recover my GPA from a 0.24 (when I failed out years ago) to a 3.5 when I graduated with honors - to do this, she made sure I was retaking the exact classes I'd initially failed so that I could make up the credits. I met up with her once or twice a semester to make sure that I was on track for my goals, and she always had time to speak with me and answer every question I had.The professors are great; they're wise and very kind, and I was well-prepared for my transfer to IUPUI. Excellent education at a fraction of the cost, which was really nice since I had to pay out-of-pocket. I would not have been able to get a college degree were it not for Ivy Tech (and now I have 2), so I cannot recommend them enough. The professors, staff, and students are all wonderful, and I have many fond memories of my time here as a student.
Doreen Mitchell: I tried to speak with someone about receiving an unofficial transcript for my daughter that we have previously paid for but haven’t received anything and the phone directory is horrible. A live person never picks up and the call disconnects. Horrible!!!
