Rene's Bakery Inc: what do users think?
danmusicmegaman: Amazing bakery! I ordered a birthday cake for my grandma’s 92 birthday and it was perfect! The cake was moist and delicious and the frosting was just right. The decorations were beautiful and exactly what I asked for. I highly recommend this bakery for all your cake needs!
Phillip Black: Perfect
Brett Rathmell: Tiny shop with lots of Big tasting pastries , cakes , breads & friendly staff ( almost feels like I'm in Europe again )
PETRA STANFIELD: I bought a mixed berry, key lime bread pudding at the place. It looked like and was shaped like a larger than average muffin. While the bread pudding part was moist and had just the right amount of sugar, it was lacking of other items. There were a few berries and streusel on top, but absolutely none inside of the rest of the body.I couldn’t taste anything which would have identified as key lime .
David Sites: Extremely tasty, very nice selection, we had blueberry scones & blueberry bread pudding, delicious!!
Andrew Fultz: Best bakery in town! Cakes, muffins, macaroons and more! Cannot go wrong with Rene's. The staff is so welcoming and friendly as well.
Jim Kelley: Best bakery anywhere! We always compare goodies we get elsewhere vs. Rene's. Rene's wins 95% of the time.
Tom Spalding: Our go-to year-in and year-out for chocolate cakes. None better in Indy and the lines out the door speak for themself. Worth the wait!
Westin Williamson: Nice staff. Limited but delicious selection.
Julian: Danish, croissant and flourless chocolate cake were my favorites. Wish they sold iced coffee
Eddie Price: This is ALWAYS A MUST STOP PLACE when in town from Terre Haute
Olivia Graue: Delicious pastries and kind staff! A Broad Ripple gem.
Eva Rodriguez: Omg everything is amazing here, the costumer service is 6 stars😅..I came to far away just to buy walnut and raisins bread
Christopher Ullrich: Melt in you mouth croissants, excellent selection of muffins, cakes, danishes,etc... Must try.
Vinicio Sanchez: Great croissants!
Olu_Fikayo: Beautiful and cozy space with lovely people and yummy bakes 😊
Amy Lurker: Everything here is delicious. You can't go wrong no matter what you choose. Some of our family favorites are the almond croissants and chewy chocolate cookies.I brought my kids in today to pick out a treat they chose macarons and they were all delicious but the passion fruit one was phenomenal! The staff is also super friendly. My son said he wants to come back every day!
J C: Omg…just stopped in for the first time. So many delicious treats, we went a bit crazy! :). Got out to the car and scarfed down a piece of blueberry coffee cake and my wife had a chocolate cream eclair. Love the environment and the folks were really nice. Definitely will be visiting again.
Anahi Peña Dominguez: Muy amable todos saben entender en español
Halle Choi: Best fruit tart of my life!!!!
Manpreet: Delicious white velvet cake- would highly recommend this bakery to anyone in the Indy area. Also, great staff! 🎂 🤤🤪

Bianca Gogel: Went and sat outside on a cool Sunday morning and the experience was excellent. They had the heated lamps on so you could enjoy the outside. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. I'm so glad they moved to this larger space. Will definitely be back.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Napoleon Maminta: Beautiful space. Great energy. Beautiful pastries. We ordered at 1130 am and at 1 pm no food. We changed it to takeout and still waiting. Jason, the bartender, was efficient and kind and provided a discount. I realize that it's newly minted so service will suffer. I will reassess in 6 months. This place has potential!!Ok ..got our food at 115 pm and received the standard " apologies" for the delay. Got home and tasted iron skillet steak with eggs Benedict. Tasty and very good, but one egg over cooked. I attribute this due to service issues from a new restaurant as well. AGAIN, I still believe in this establishment and will return. Looking forward to this restaurant DRAMATICALLY IMPROVING!!This the NEW LOCATION ON College Ave across from Root and Bone. Did the kitchen staff turnover as well?
Dusty Sheckles: Stopped by to grab a pastry and coffee. My croissant was frozen. Suboptimal.
Sunny Days: It was such a beautiful day, everything was excellent. I adored our server Layla. I've now tried every location and I can say that they each are exceptional. Amanda Kennedy: Overall, beautiful interior, excellent hostess, fast pre-bus rate, delicious food.Bad though? Service is wiffle - waffle. We went early (9am) to break in before the busy crowd and in hopes to ensure if we took the busy service out of it, we could focus on how well service is.Instead, our server forgot our sodas, wasn't sure about the differences in the lattes served, and when it came to getting the check closed, as if we wanted change. I work in the industry as well but when you are the front man of a business, please never ask if someone wants change. It's abrupt and kind of rude. We said we were good, but if they would have spent the extra 10 seconds bringing the change more cash would have been left.Overall, a 4 star. Staff needs to be trained not to push on tips (even if it's not intentional like it was here). Server training to ensure that they're not pushing would be fantastic, but man. This place for some potential. We will give it 3 months and come back. The shrimp and grits were fantastic though. Wow.Parking: Parking next to building but across intersection as wellDietary restrictions: Gluten, vegan options
Emily Aleman: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Breakfast Sammie, French Toast LatteMore
Josiah McCruiston: Not as good as the other location. Had shrimp and grits that were expensive and just awful and I felt too bad to return the dish. Plus my Chai was diluted and wasn't worth finishing. I just should have gotten a pastry and been on my way.Food: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Lisa M: Love the new space. Everything we tried was yummy but the almond croissant was the showstopperFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Lee Gaines: I don’t typically leave reviews (good or bad), but this was the worst meal I’ve had in awhile. My partner and I came for dinner. Maybe that was a mistake since this place is known for its brunch. And we’ve had brunch at their former location — it was solid, a little pricey but decent enough.Anyway, we were excited to try their new location. They’ve clearly put a lot of work into the ambience, which is nice. All the waitstaff were super friendly, too. Most of the menu is just… brunch basically… which is strange to serve at night. They have a handful of vegetarian options and maybe like one vegan option. And the dinner menu is ala carte and wildly expensive. We ordered:- sparking lemonade (it was decent)- the bread basket (a little bland and uninteresting and but fine)The dish that really did it for me was the mushroom tartine. It’s a $17 piece of toast covered with a handful of burnt mushrooms, cherry tomatoes and a hollandaise sauce that tastes like mayonnaise. I ate half of it and was deeply disappointed. My partner got the half chicken. He was similarly disappointed. It was small, dry, bland and he said it tasted reheated. I didn’t try it so I’ll take his word for it.We also ordered the mashed potatoes as a side. Like the tartine, the potatoes came covered with a handful of burnt mushrooms. The mushrooms were bad and the potatoes were bland.I want to support small business. And I really wanted to like this place. But they need to improve their dinner menu and the quality of the food coming out of their kitchen.Vegetarian options: Few options for vegetarians
Jim St John: Excellent Asparagus Soup, DeliciousDesserts an Entrees / had 1/2 Chicken & steak . Presentation Lovely.
Laura Elizabeth: French toast latte was very good. Love the decor. Very bright and lots of windows in the restaurant 🌳 the whiskey crepe and Tiffany omelette were also good 😋Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Amelia's: what do users think?
Michelle Rae Hayes: Always Friendly and helpful and delicious
Rachel McCaffrey: Great atmosphere and even better foccacia! It's my go to for hostess gifts and their scones are out of this world.
Ashlee Nemeth: They have the best bread!
Kasia S: Best bakery in 100 mile radius
Jessica McKamey: Yes please
Bubbles4112: Went for pastries & they didn't have that many in terms of kinds. They mostly had cookies so i got cookies & brownies. They have interesting choices so i got 2 of each. Wish I didn't. Not only were they hard as rocks but the cookies & brownies had huge flakes of salt on them. I don't like the taste of salt. So disappointing!
Kris Reed: Love love love it!!!!! Best bear claws and focaccia bread!!! But everything in there looks amazing and always great service!
Twon Is Twon: great quality bread made with fermentation, delectable pastries and cookies (brown butter chocolate chip is my fav). Unique grocery items available like local jersey milk, specialty cheeses and in house made grab and go items. Not a better storefront bakery in town.
laura chaves: Not many baked good options
The MC Airplane: Expensive, rude
E E: Everything here is delicious from the 2$ biscuits to the twice baked almond croissants… u cannot go wrong getting baked goods from here !! If I lived closer , I would come here everyday !
Christina Hrubey: Love their online ordering and curbside pickup. Super helpful for disabled folks or those who are neurodivergent. Products are delicious and their grocery and bulk items are accessible. Favorites include the laminated cinnamon buns, savory city loaf, kouign amann, morning buns, and capicolo twists.
SW K: My third time to Amelia. The croissants are always good. However the Pullman loaf we got today was pretty... mediocre if not awful. It is dry and with thick "crust". Not sure if we expect too much from it. I probably will keep going to Amelia for the croissant but never again the Pullman loaf.
Erin Barr: This place doesn't need my review. It's amazing. The bread and pastry are better than we deserve. This place will be one of the reasons I cry whenever we move from this neighborhood.
Robert Stevens: I discovered Amelia’s on my birthday weekend when I wanted to get a few things that I love from France as I am an avid Francophile and French teacher. I wasn’t disappointed with the baguette and other items I got.Yesterday, I returned for the second time for more and earlier this time for a stronger selection of items. I am currently eating the pain au chocolat (chocolate croissant) and I can say it is taking me to France. As they say in one of my favorite movies, “The Hundred-Foot Journey,” “Food is memories.”Great job! I will be back.
Johnny Guitar: Got a chocolate croissant and it changed my life
Amy Shater: Wonderful little artisanal bakery — L.O.V.E. the Ribbon Loaf which is a small 3x5-ish inch soft flaky croissant-like sourdough loaf with a cranberry compote center, sheer lemony icing glaze, & garnished with dried cranberries & a thyme sprig — a quintessential holiday culinary masterpiece that tastes as divine as it looks!! Perfect for brunch (everyone wanted their own loaf!) or to wrap up for holiday gift-giving. The Morning Bun is also delicious – this one is more of a rustic creation with a schmear of thick icing on the top and a lemony sticky bun base. Amelia’s Virginia Street location is my absolute favorite – tiny, but surprisingly robust in specialty food offerings. It reminds me of the quaint specialty stores of the 80s, like Barefoot Contessa and others, where one can find curated delicacies for serving and cooking. This is an absolute win for Indianapolis & I’m so glad I found you – YAY!! p.s. the customer service is phenomenal, as well - an all-around home run!!
kyle west: Delicious 😋 baked bread and pastries 🍰. Welcoming staff. Highly recommend 👌
Loving Life: this place baking is some of the best in Indianapolis. The flavors they produce are things I have never experienced before
Halle Choi: I had a really incredible savory danish here I think the filling was some type of Carmelized onion and white bean~ sooooo good!
Ghadeer AlMuhaisen: One of the best bakeries in indy!My favorite are croissants, pecan cookies, cinnamon rolls, semolina loaf, also this apple brioche tart is amazing. Kind of prefer their dessert more than savory pastries.. I recommend going there as early as u can coz many options will be sold out in the afternoon.

Circle City Sweets: what do users think?
Melissa Sparks: I never have anything long enough to take pictures because everything is so amazing! Worth a drive to visit and get some amazing treats!
Jillian Ashton: This is my to go to place for the best croissants in the city as well as special occasion cakes. The fresh baked bread is perfection. The propieter is hard working, and has a heart for bringing the best product to her customers!
Grant Helms: Although its location in the Artisan Marketplace (AMP building) appears unassuming, Circle City Sweets boasts some truly exquisite pastry offerings. Both breakfast and dessert pastry items are found in the menu, and you can’t go wrong with either (or anything available that day, really). Specific items go fast, so arrive early, especially if you want what is unquestionably the best almond croissant in the city — a transcendent highlight that brings together rich, hearty bakery flavors from a Midwestern oven with a flaky, complex dough. You’ll be glad you snagged one.
Celeste Cruz: We stopped in early around 9:00am this morning and they had no chocolate or almond croissants available. We were very disappointed as it was difficult to find and park here. We probably won’t be coming back.
luis ibanez: I had their chocolate croissant, it was super soft and very crusty at the same time. Semi sweet dark chocolate filling is really good. I also had the creme Brulee sof smooth and great vanilla flavor!
Emily F: Wow. Well worth the stop, well worth the price (4 macarons, 1 almond croissant, two brownies, two cakes, and 1 streusal bar for $30). Delicious baked goods -- huge, fresh portions of all sorts of items! Chocolate pastries, fruit pastries, breakfast items, lunch sandwiches, cakes, croissants of all varieties... I am going back for another stop. The macarons are dreamy.
Sarah Thixton: The absolute best croissant in town!!! Get some, you won’t regret it!
Denice Roberson: A-MAZING! As a first time customer I felt so welcomed. I had total undivided attention and felt appreciated. I had never tried macaroons and I'll tell you. These were delicious morsels from heaven. All I can say is...YUMMY
Jack Huddleston: Was so lucky today! Got a couple of Almond Croissants for my wife and I. Every time we have come to Amp to get them they are always sold out. Circle City Sweets is awesome, come to the Amp and check them out! As well as other locally owned vendors here! #supportlocal
Chris Johnson: Best Croissants ever! Almond was amazing. Ham and Cheese awesome as well.
olga mogollon: Their treats are AMAZING. Best croissants in the city, well honestly best I've ever had anywhere.UPDATE: Sent an edit to google and they fixed the location. Should be able to google directions now.Don't use the Google location to find them though. You'll end up at an iupui building. Use the fish Market or go to their website for very specific directions.
Susan: THE BEST almond croissant I've ever had!!! Their new location is not convenient for me but their almond croissant is worth the trip. I also bought their croissants at a market on Virginia Ave.
Matthew Dix: This is the bakery I’ve been wanting. As far as sweet breads go, this delights my European taste. :)I’m excited to try their sourdough as soon as I can get back.
sharanya chandran: Definitely one of the good bakeries in Indianapolis. We have tried many sweets from here and never been disappointed. Almond croissant is delicious and got wheat bread which is good too. Do crash in this place @amp for some good treats👍🏼
Prasad Nair: Love the Almond Croissants, Breads and Macaroons.
David Feinberg: I was so excited to see the amazing new location for Circle City Sweets at 16 Tech. All of my favorite pastries made the move over. I was able to get my favorite one fresh out of the oven, a kouign-amann, and it was just as amazing as before. So many delicious buttery layers of dough, the perfect amount of cheese filling. So many amazing other items available too, but the Kouign-amann will always be my favorite!
DEEeee: Their pastries are amazing I only came for macaroons but, left with a few more goodies 🙆🏾‍♀️
Charmy G.: I've been coming here for the past few years and I've tried many of their sweets. The lemon ginger cookies are my favorite! Hands down the best. The muffins and tart like treats are great. I tried the scones and had no idea what to expect, it was like a bisquick biscuit but a scone is a scone LOL. The almond croissants were too crunchy and messy. I tried them on several occasions wanting to love them but they were a miss each time.
trent s: Great staff! Very friendly and helpful!! Loved everything we got! Will be back soon!!
logan fry: Great price and delicious taste
Traci A: The best pain au chocolate croissant EVER! And the Sour Cream Pecan Coffee Cake is delicious! Circle City Soups are wonderful too! We ❤ them!

Macaron Bar: what do users think?
Pamela Scott: Delicious macarons, fairly priced, and great service. We were in and out pretty quickly but didn't feel rushed. There was a nice variety of ready macarons. The associate who was behind the counter gave recommendations and explained the pricing (although there was a sign as well.) When we finally got around to trying them, there were no bad flavors. These were well made and delicious. Will definitely be back.
Kelly Stukenberg: I took a macaron baking class a few months ago and the instructor was phenomenal! Instructions were clear and guidance was given to correct technique. The end product was fantastic. Can't wait to try at home.
J V: Delicious desserts!
Colleen O'Sullivan: Decided to take the Macron making class. We were a little nervous because a 3-hr class could go either way. Jen was TREMENDOUS! She did an excellent job walking us through each step, with helpful hints and tidbits, equal parts serious and funny. It was SO worth it! Try to get Jen - you won’t regret it! Added bonus - boatloads of macrons and the recipes!!!
Maggie Vaitkus: Such a lovely place! The woman behind the counter was incredibly helpful and friendly, and of course the macaroons were delicious with really creative flavors. Will definitely be back sometime!
Hubert H. Gottfried J. D.: Received very kind service tonight! Definitely stop in— very cute shop!
Diego Silva: Son sabrosos, la atención es buena. El lugar es muy bonito.
Amelia B: I recently ordered a 7 tier macaron tower for our holiday party. The macarons were a smash hit- the whole party raved about them as they were absolutely delicious. The customer service was great- I will continue to order from them.
Shane Howard (Dead Man's Hand): Fast service, delicious macarons. Simple.
Sofia Wicker: Delicious!!
brownie 97: Very nice people! Such a cute gift idea.
Ian Mast: Love everything here! The new blueberry cheesecake macaron is amazing and my go to lemon lavender is .
Hakunnah Mu-tAH-TAH: I love it. I had an issue months ago and when I returned recently I expressed my concern with the last batch I had and the employee just made it right and made sure I was taken care of. I was so pleased with my order I came back days later & when she saw me in line she came up to me and asked how that batch was for me, i told her it was way better. That meant a lot for me, seeing that she cared about my experience and ensuring that everything was good. 5 stars Macaron Bar! You have a returning customer .
Jason Zarate: Amigos son muy buenos, 100% recomendado, tienen diferentes sabores y un excelente servicio
Judy Jones: Delicious...large variety...fum
David Mitchell: We made the best macarons at our first attempt.
Maria Khan: Really nice customer service and large quantity of flavors. They offer a free birthday macaron which has been a nice treat when meeting up with friends for their birthday on mass ave. The macarons are reasonably priced ($2.50 each) and sized. I also saw during my last visit they offer cooking classes ($84 for 3 hours) which sounds like a really fun activity to do.
Westin Williamson: Best in the city!
Tyler Spiker: Good macaroons, but they are pretty pricey and sadly there's not a very broad selection. I would justify the cost if there were more options.
Victoria Harrison: First time having fresh macaroons and I was not disappointed! The 6 macaroons box is a great way to try their many different flavors! They also offer a macaroon class that shows the in's and out's of perfecting these little treats!
elizabeth sittinger: so, I've been reluctant to leave a review because I have worked in bakeries for over ten years, and I know sometimes bad batches are produced.. but I was not very impressed by these macaroons. The over all macaroon appeared to be nice looking, fluffy, high feet, but it had a lack of filling and they were incredibly hard. The pistachio flavor I purchased you can clearly see a color difference at the base which indicates it was over baked. My other concern with the shop was they were not kept refrigerated, perhaps they rotate product regularly to maintain standard, or maybe they sell that quickly to not need proper storage. Overall, I would expect more from a bakery that specializes in one specific product, I do feel the price is very fair for macaroons though. I likely won't be back since I live in Lafayette and happened to find this cute shop when I was walking through Indianapolis, but figured I would leave input.

Leviathan Bakehouse: what do users think?
Cal Hultquist: I'd highly recommend this small bakery. Yummy! Friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere with pretty quick service:)
Grant Helms: A creative bakery with intriguing items on the menu, including a variety of bread loaves and both savory and sweet pastry. The coffee menu also features espresso drinks with innovative ingredients and, while not cheap, is worth exploring and enjoying.
Greg Westin: Excellent local bakery and coffee shop. I walk here regularly just to get a pastry or two. I recommend the strawberry guava ermine croissant, if it ever reappears. One of my daughter’s favorite treats is sharing (or not sharing) a Meg sandwich for lunch. If you’re looking for bread, I recommend trying the porridge pan loaf.
Vladimir Blinchevsky: Just stopped for lunch. Sandwich and salad was good. A bit on the pricier side however. Service was great. Place was clean.I'll have to stop by sometime in the morning for the bakery items and coffee.
Stephanie Swaim: Love this place! The Hunny Bunny is my favorite drink! The pastries are all fantastic and I often enjoy the rotating quiche
Brijan Gossan: What Leviathan does is pure magic! Run don’t walk as their quiche is out of this world! If you’re looking for some sugar, do not pass up on the Kouign-amann, you’ll quickly be transported to France (albeit I’ve never had it there but you will be taken to another land :) ). Worth any wait they have and the staff is always friendly. Thank you for being in Indy…we are spoiled! Hip, hip, hooray!
Carmen Chan: Great place to have a lovely and delicious breakfast! We got quiche, kouign amann, potato hand pie along with honey pistachio latte and hot mocha latte. Everything was delicious! If we visit Indy again, we would totally visit again. Kid friendly as well!
Wolfy Games: It was very good . Pistachio latte was wonderful ! Nice atmosphere. Small and quaint . The quiche was really good . Will return
Conor Bugher: The vegetarian breakfast sandwich is literally the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had.
Benji Craig: Hidden treasures are the best. This is not the most central location, but it's worth seeking it out. The bakery goods are fresh and amazing. Really interesting coffee selection. Highly recommend!
Devan Gerald: big fat slay. their breakfast sandwiches are TOP TIER. 12/10. their coffee is incredible too and it’s just an all around cute store. be sure to check out the Black and Woman owned plant shop next door after you grab your coffee!
Alyssa Stiffler: I finally decided to stop by Leviathan and I'm so glad I did. I got the Hunny Bunny latte (house infusion of preserved lavender flowers in Indiana local honey) and the polenta Black Pepper Biscuits & Fischer Farms Chorizo Gravy. one word, AMAZING. I ate the biscuits and gravy so fast I wasn't able to snap a photo lol try this place out you won't regret it. It's a bit smaller inside so on the weekends, if you find a seat, count yourself lucky! They do have patio seating as well!
Pat G: Best breakfast sandwich in Indy
Todd Bastin: Simply the best local bakery. Pastries are always great, but the bread itself is the star (baguettes and country loaf in particular). Sandwiches are maybe a touch overpriced, but delicious. I'm not too experienced with their more dessert-oriented offerings, though the red velvet cake was good. Staff is great as well, and even the espresso drinks are solid. Certainly recommend.
Gloria Kim: Very friendly staffs. Love Gillian, Justin and Jassie to name some. They are welcoming and tuned to the needs of the customers. The food quality is also great, and their croissants are the best in town. They also have a generous point system that gives $5 off of $15 when you check-in 5 times, and another discount system. Clean and great place to focus so I come here often to work and study. Open Tues-Sun, 8am-3pm.
John Nevin: The kind of neighborhood bakery that I wish we had in Lansing. Would have given five stars but expectations were super high. Croissant breakfast sandwich was extremely greasy. I understand that croissants are loaded with butter but there are techniques that allow for a hot sandwich that isn't oozing butter. Cherry hand pies were good not great - could use more tart cherry flavor.
john mooney: Really good food, but operating model is really poor. There’s a line out the door with one cashier and 6 employees chatting it up instead of helping the line move faster. No sense of urgency.
Josh Scruggs: Great all around bakery. The breads and breakfast sandwiches are great but the desserts are my favorite. I especially like the travel cakes and the raspberry pistachio bar. Can't miss on the cookies either.
Denise Morris: Customer service is almost as important as the product. If you can't even answer a question then why would I come there? Ridiculous!
Madelyn Gray: Here out of town and popped in to try. Absolute delicious bakery with a lot of gluten free options! Very friendly staff!
Edward Evans: Nice atmosphere & wonderful baked treats
