Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site: what do users think?
Tyson Porter: Our guide was knowledgeable and professional. She was young and inspired by the history (especially Ben’s first wife!) Really positive experience.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $11–15 …More
Jessica Wilson: I went here after a conference in November. It remains the best historical site I've ever been to (and I've been to many!)! The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He talked at length about the activities of the women in Benjamin Harrison's life, his progressive ideas for policy, and his treatment of minorities. The house is incredibly well-preserved and accessible to visitors. Benjamin Harrison carefully adopted many new technologies to make the running of his household easier and more efficient. To me, this speaks volumes!
Darren: We enjoyed the tour of the Harrison home. Our guide was knowledgeable and gracious.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $16–20 …More
Emma Wright: I’ve visited house museums all across the country, and I feel lucky to have this gem in my city! The guide was an excellent storyteller and carefully incorporated artifacts that shared the history of President Harrison and the home. I highly recommend for Indy locals or anyone stopping through.
Geoff McCuen: What a great hidden gem. Not only is the house line a time capsule, but there is so much history and information about Harrison that most Hoosiers don't know about.Visited on Weekend Wait time Up to 10 min Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $11–15 …More
Florence May: I've been many times over the years. For house tours (the guides are so knowledgeable about our former President and his family), Easter egg hunt, their seasonal plays, and hopefully this year for New Years Eve. The house is stunning with 80% of the collection from the family.
Alisha Johnson: Love this place! Such a fun experience caroling. And everyone was super nice. 10/10 will go again!Visited on Public holiday Wait time No wait …More
Marah Barker: A beautiful place with lots of cool things about it. We went during a renovation and it was awesome to see all the items that were from the time period as well as the restoration of such a beautiful place. It was awesome that there was one rug left from the time that Benjamin Harrison lived there. I hope to visit again when all the Christmas stuff is up.Great tour and definitely worth going to if you like history or need something to do on a day off.
白君德: Such a great treasure to have in downtown Indianapolis. I got a great tour and learned a lot. It would be great to see the rest of the house that was closed off when I was visiting. I parked right next to it in the street on a Sunday. Easy to get in and out.

He was able to provide a lot of information, that helped you understand how Benjamin Harrison lived. The house has plenty of artifacts and artwork to keep the tour interesting.I highly recommend visiting this awesome Indiana historical land mark.
Doron Berger: Fantastic example of turn of the 19th century Victorian style upper class homes. Lots of artwork and artifacts. The second and third floors currently under construction but it’s well worth the visit.Outside garden plaza has replicas of the bill of rights, constitution and Declaration of Independence. The Harrison family was very involved in 19th century US politics so you will learn a lot about the period.

Gorgeous piece of architecture with amazing curators/guides to take you around and give you all the history and knowledge they have. The museum is basically a time capsule of how our medical fields developed and is well worth the visit!

Julie Grace Immink: Human skeletons, jarred organs, and an iron lung for infants are on exhibit. The educational museum is located inside the pathology building of the former “Indiana Hospital for the Insane.” Visitors can sit in the same wooden chairs where live autopsies were demonstrated to students in the amphitheater. There are six laboratories to tour, including a room where microscopes are placed in front of large windows because the reflected sunlight once illuminated the examined brain cells of former patients.

Indiana Historical Society: what do users think?
Ambassador Dr. Angela J Nealy, PhD: Awesome place. I saw the church where my Great, Great GrandUncle once pastored in 1866, Rev. Dr. Willis R. Revels
Martine Janvier: Great museum! We visited this museum during museum day in September when it was free admission .The staff is present all around the museum and was friendly and helpful. The exhibition was interesting and interactive! It kept my 10YO daughter engaged in each part. The whole building is spacious and have a nice ambiance with classical music playing .We were able to grab a quick and affordable lunch in the café at the lower level and eat on the patio with view on the canal and that was nice .
Traci Koehler: The Eva Kor exhibit is EXTRAORDINARY!! The hologram of her answering so many amazing questions drew my daughter and me into a more personal view of the holocaust. She was an amazing woman who survived soooooooo much!We absolutely love this! Now I want to go back to find the answer to, "What is a hoosier?" on the second floor.
Emily Scott: Thanks you
雷一鸣: Have a dinner there with the program. Nice place!
Ivan Sleet: Who knew poetry could be so emotional. The Twin Poets are phenomenal!! There stories through their spoken word is an AMAZING Journey! Thank you IHS and Storytelling Arts of Indiana!!!
Keyshawn Louis Scott: Great history on 9/11 and the victims
Daniela Quiroz: It's gorgeous but in summer it should be more beautiful since right now it's super cold.
Vicki Mansfield: Very educational informative and entertaining exhibits that all tie back to Indiana.
Denise Laverty: Great venue for an event!
Julie R. LeHunt: Went for the last day of The Festival of Trees. Loved it! Do wish the Stardust Cafe offered at least coffee/cocoa/tea/soft drinks, & maybe snacks, later than 3:00p. Otherwise, I love the facility & all it offers (it was a lovely venue for a small wedding I sang at a few years ago).
Mike Lipe: I don't know how I did it...It was so enthralling, I actually fell asleep while walking.
George Wright: We went to with friends to their large display of decorated Christmas trees. A good way to kick off the holiday season
Elsie Robinson: The Christmas Tree display was wonderful and the free entry for educators was very appreciated!!
N Odell: Look for the displays on the Jewish History in Indianapolis. Good reading, lots of pictures. Have lunch at the Stardust Cafe downstairs.
Stephanie Metz: The Eva Kor exhibit was well worth it do the virtual reality
Cody Dubose: Awesome place for family fun.
Dan Bartlett: My wife and son really like to go look at the Christmas trees at the Historical Society during the holiday season. This is not really my idea of a great time, but if you lile that sort of thing then there are a lot of trees to look at. I also went to a presentation about BIM in the auditorium there once as well. Other than that, I'm not sure what else goes on during the year. They wanted, I think, $13/person for admission to the Christmas tree thing -- that's way more than I believe it is worth. Our local library has a couple of passes that you can check out for free, so if you are planning to go that might be a better route.
Renato Martins: Fantastic place for history and culture. Very well maintained building. People there are friendly and professional.
John Ginder: We went for the festival of trees at winter. The trees were amazing 70 some trees Christmas trees decorated and made to be representing a certain thing and it was absolutely just fun to go see.
Jill Roark: We took our niece and nephews to see the festival of trees. We all had a blast. We will make this part of our holiday tradition in the future

Beautiful architecture, and gardens. If you let yourself relax, you can actually "feel" the character of this square draw you in and say " Sit, stay, have a cup of coffee and stay awhile. Nothing is that pressing."

Paul T: I took the family to breakfast in downtown Indianapolis. We were walking on the canal and decided to warm up in the sunlight when we found ourselves at the steps of the Indiana war memorial and museum. We enjoyed everything about the experience. From the moment we entered we were greeted by a friendly employee who answered our questions. We dove in and had no idea what to expect. We were all surprised with the quality and quantity of amazing memorabilia, artifacts, an actual pieces of history. I was able to show my son every uniform camouflage I wore in the US Army. I was also able to show him every unit patch I wore. For crying out loud, there is a AH-1 Huey Cobra on the Vietnam war era! Everything about our visit was a success. You are the gold standard of museums, and in Indiana fashion, rivals the Seoul South Korea War Museum in I-tae Wan.

Harsha S: We went here on a Sunday morning after hearing that this would be a good place to visit and learn more about Indianapolis. We parked at a street nearby (free parking) and walked over to the museum. It was a little chilly outside, and when we entered were quickly greeted by staff and directed to walk a specific way to get to the museum. There was no charge to enter the memorial. The museum has a collection of US military history spanning from the Revolutionary War to the Iraq War. It pays tribute to the men and women of the armed forces and recognizes their contributions. There's so much history to be found walking through these halls, and I was surprised to see the evolution of weapons and uniforms/wear in each conflict. There was also a staircase leading up to the top of the memorial that honored everyone that sacrificed their lives in WWII.

It's amazing the amount of memorabilia that's here and many items we haven't seen before (and we've been to a few war museums!). The shrine upstairs is absolutely stunning!! Even though there is a lot of Indiana information, it was still worth seeing being from a different state! Set up very nicely and we enjoyed it immensely!
