Hyatt Regency Indianapolis: what do users think?
Skott Mealer: Attended the2023 NRA Convention and stayed here. Great room, the restaurant was excellent and within walking distance to the Convention center. Another bonus was its near severial great restaurants all within a 15 minute walk. Great place!!!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Katie Schoster: Pros: Clean hotel, walking distance to Lucas Oil Stadium and friendly staff. Hotel is connected to the mall, so easy access to food court and shopping.Cons: Front desk offered to upgrade our hotel room to a room with a view and did not disclose it would be an additional fee. We only realized this when we got our bill. Very disappointed. So beware of upgrade offers.
Troy Davidhizer: Nice place to stay in Indy. Rooms were clean and in good condition.Walkability: Close to restaurants and things to doRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Tiffany Nguyen: I woke up at 12:40am due to grown men screaming and cheering playing ping pong downstairs. The sound of their cheers and clapping bellows above where the rooms are located and you can hear everything. I literally have to wake up in a few hours and I couldn’t go to sleep due to them being so loud. I called front desk to try to get ahold of somebody to make a noise complaint and nobody answered so I went downstairs myself and asked the people to please keep it down because people who have to work tomorrow need to sleep. They disregard my plea and got loud again once I got back to my floor. This is a nice hotel to stay in because the rooms are clean but my bathroom’s tub was clogged and drained really slow and the air conditioner was broken. I won’t be coming back.
Jeanne Buza: Went to a concert right around the corner and they were amazing and no curved walls to walk into when drunk.. but if you're higher then the 2nd wall don't look over the edge! The parking was not included which sucked but worth it!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Jenni Lynn Weatherhead: Beautiful view of the Capital from our room. Comfortable bed, clean room. Dinner at Eagles Nest was amazing. Spectacular view. WHAT A MEMORABLE EVENING.Food & drinks: Delicious drinks.
Brandon Bally: My room at the Wyatt was beautiful. From the view all the way down to the comfortable feel that the furniture, bed, and even color scheme provided. The only notable concern that I can state is that a few hours after I checked in, a hotel security guard attempted to forcibly enter my room. At the time I was laying down in bed and listening to music so that I could relax. I heard the handle and door lock rattling and naturally went to see what was causing the noise. A few seconds later I heard the voice of a man stating I needed to open the door. I asked who it was and they said they were the hotel security. In response, I asked what their reason for coming to the door was. They said that it was because "I wasn't supposed to be in that room."To be able to show proof that I indeed was supposed to be in the room, I opened the door and immediately showed the security guard and the receptionist with him, my key badge to unlock the door aforementioned.Mind you...this is the same receptionist who at check in gave me the mf key card in the little white hotel slip they always put them in. The ones that clearly have the room number written in bold. I'm not dyslexic (no offense & all love) and I am quite fond of reading. After the guard saw the card with the number clearly written on it, he apologized and told me that there was a mistake. All in all, my stay in Indianapolis was memorable. Sometimes, small things happen that can come as a distraction if you allow them to be. Peace is and forever will be something we have to choose to keep. No matter where we are. Despite what was cited as a mistake on the part of the hotel staff, the hotel is one that I would be open to staying at in the future for any other trips to this city. Just next time, don't question whether I'm supposed to be there or not. I deserved to be.
Linda Wilson: Our bathroom was really tiny!!! Room was nice and clean. The hotel is in a great location.Walkability: Within walking distance to many things down town
Michael McKeown: I was very pleased and cannot say one thing negative about my stay. I would recommend this hotel.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Jonah Dunn: Great location, amenities and options for food and drinks.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view …More

Steve Mills: Clean and close to everything. Good breakfast and very nice valet.Walkability: Straight across from Gainbridge FieldhouseRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view, Quiet …More
Marty J: Nice hotel with easy access toGainbridge Fieldhouse. It's literally right across the street. It's in walking distance to some great eateries as well. I would definitely stay here again if I had an event to attend at Gainbridge.Rooms: Rooms were pretty cleanNearby activities: Events at the field houseSafety: I like that you have to scan your key card on the elevator to access the floor to your roomWalkability: It's in walking distance with Gainbridge right across the street and some eateries and the surrounding area.Food & drinks: Breakfast was good. There's also a restaurant available in the hotel
B Middles: Rooms: Very cleanWalkability: 1 min walk to the venue, right across the street.Food & drinks: The restaurant morning breakfast was amazing. The bar staff were very nice and courteous.
Steve Scott: Once you know the ropes, this is a great place to stay. Right downtown, close to the action. Comfortable, well appointed rooms. Great breakfasts. Signage is confusing and contradictory. Ignore the street signs. They lead to alleys. The only one identifying the true entrance is the doormat. Parking is confusing. Signs in the garage say to pay at the station. As you exit the bridge to the hotel, there is a sign hidden behind a post telling you to use your room key to exit the garage. A separate sign says to have your room key validate at registration. Registration tells you that doesn't work and hands you a paper validation. To exit the garage you must insert your parking card (without paying at the pay station) and then scan the validation paper. A new validation paper has to be asked for each day of your stay. At the end you are charged $45 for valet parking despite a sign at the entrance saying that valet parking is $42.
Kat Overy: Rooms: The room we stayed in had a king size bed, was spacious, with a single-cup coffee maker, refrigerator, sitting area and spacious ,clean bathroom.Nearby activities: The Indy Fieldhouse stadium is right across the street! So convenient! We stayed at the concert until the end and walked across the street and were in our hotel room in minutes. How convenient! Plenty of restaurants nearby, including Prime 47 Steakhouse.Walkability: So many activities and restaurants. Just a few steps away! Straight across the street is the field house, basketball stadium and concert venue. Restaurants and bars within the hotel and a few short steps away.Food & drinks: Prime 47 Steakhouse nearby is expensive but delicious and the servers are awesome! Wonderful bar and exciting atmosphere! The Hyatt place has a wonderful continental breakfast including eggs, sausage, donuts, bagels, waffles, and an assortment of fruit, oatmeal and yogurt that is included with your stay. St. Elmo's Steakhouse is nearby with its super spicy but delicious cocktail sauce!
mattspeppers: My partner and I stayed here 10 days ago with our 7 month old son. We wanted a short getaway from being cooped up in the house and picked your hotel specifically because you had a pool and we wanted to take our son swimming for the first time. While checking in we made mention of your pool and we were told that it was on the 15th floor and to please enjoy our stay. We got unpacked and unloaded only to be greeted by the 'Pool Closed' sign on the door. After calling down to the front desk to see what could be done, we were given two options. Validate our parking (We parked in a separate lot several blocks away. It would have cost $90 to park using their lot for a one night stay and chose to park elsewhere. This did not apply to us.) or we could check out of your hotel with no fee and find another hotel.Neither of those were good options. Packing up our bags again and toting a 7 month old around the city to another hotel was less than ideal. We figured we would make the best of our stay and talk to the front desk again in the morning.Stacia was the only person behind the front desk the following day. The couple in front of us went back and forth with her for upwards of 15 minutes for an issue of their own. The line was backing up behind us and I didn't want to make her day any harder than it seemed already. I just asked for the managers business card.I have emailed the manager as well as the address provided in the survey. Have not received any response in 10 days.
K Sethi: No housekeeping despite promising for a 3 night stay.Stop cutting corners on this...Rooms: 3/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Michelle Chapman: I stayed at this gorgeous hotel the night that I went to the "for King and Country" concert, and everyone was amazing. I'm battling a rare, incurable brain disease and this was my first trip this far away in years, and I'm so glad that I chose this Hyatt. I'm coming to another concert in the spring and when I called to make my reservation, I think the gentleman taking my reservation thought that my stutter meant that I was pranking or something negative. I always try to schedule with the actual hotel because those are the folks who remember me and such. It's just hard talking over the phone. I was asking questions and I feel bad because I don't know how to change people's minds. I kinda wish they had a button to select if you're making a reservation and you have a disability. You know? I still think that this hotel is the best in Indianapolis, that I've stayed at. I'll have to come say hi to everyone in the spring when I come to see Mercy Me. God Bless you all!
Cassandra Mills: Currently at Hyatt place hotel . Decide to grab a hotel n enjoy comedy show instead of driving home. Great ideaRooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Jennifer Fall: I can’t even leave 1/2 a star for the experience of valet service. After 45 minutes attempting to find the valet rep with my older family, the manager, and a call to the gm from the manager, i was absolutely shocked when she let me have it when I let her know we weren’t paying for that kind of inconvenience. Here’s a tip, learn customer service. Don’t show up 45 minutes later after you are nowhere to be found with just a “hey.”
Larry Williams: Me and my family arrived there no carts to help carry bags up the second floor check in or up to rooms.
Thomas Jones: Small rooms, absolutely no grass near by to be a dog friendly hotel.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Mr Slaughter: Was nice stay only disappointed when I got double charged for parking because there parking garage didn't read my scan card so they kept my deposit for room even though I had to pay to leave each night

Hyatt Place Indianapolis Airport: what do users think?
Hagerawi: It is a nice place except nothing around it. Food is pretty much frozen food. Except for a few items like salad. This is another review on the 18th of April, I got to come again and was not surprised to get another bad service. The lady at the front desk at 6:30 am was not pleasant at all. Not only towards me but to almost everyone that she comes in contact with her. Negative Attitude is very high. I don't think anyone wants to start their day with the negativity she gives.
Chianti: Always enjoy staying at a Hyatt Place as the rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. Rooms are a perfect size as it provided a separate sitting area, kitchenette along with a bedroom. Employees at the front desk and van drivers were pleasant and accommodating.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 3/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More
Sky High: First, Hyatt's are my preferred hotel. This one is by far the biggest disappointment.Although the rooms are fairly large with a coffee bar, sitting area with couch and desk space, the rooms are in dire need of some updates and cleaning. The carpets are gross and the bathrooms are falling apart and moldy. The towels are rough and stained.I've stayed here three times now and every time the staff is just plain rude. I've observed their dismissal to even flight crews coming and leaving in the mornings and evenings, as well as standard guests. This makes a huge difference. Please hire people who enjoy customer service. The continental breakfast is the shining star here, with basic options of fruit, breads, and some standards like yogurt and eggs. It's decently close to the airport.
Tanner Peacock: Very spacious rooms which was something I really enjoyed; don’t find many of those in hotels for a reasonable price.Staff was friendly. Bed are comfy with pillows that provide some support unlike most hotels. No laundry facility on site and the breakfast could be better, but for the price, the hotel is really nice!
Ivan Vlahov: Special thanks to front desk agent, Michael, the airport shuttle driver, and all the housekeeping staff for doing their best effort to help me in my critical, time sensitive situation on Sunday afternoon. This hotel has outstanding people and it was a very much pleasant and relaxing stay!
Eric E.: It's an alright place to stay of you have to be at the Indianapolis Airport. The staff is great. Friendly and accomodatingRooms: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 3/5Hotel highlights Kid-friendly, Great value …More
Susan Maxwell: ”BEWARE” arrived at the hotel at 12:21 pm from a five hour drive to stay for the second time and were being charged $75 to get into the room early that is already set to go. I have never been charged to get into a hotel early. I stayed at the Marriott and got in my room at 10am no problem. We are coming for a volleyball tournament and wanted to drop our things off and rest a minute as we will not be back until 9pm. Shame on this hotel for being so greedy that I need to pay another nights fee to relax in a ready room. Terrible customer service and the manager was not on-site. Will not go to a Hyatt Place again.
Frank Ciuffetelli: A nice airport hotel in an old building. Get ready to hear EVERY airport take off and landing. They are hampered by the age of the building in what is provided. Service was good and there is food available.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Trent Sainer: The people were great! Plenty of commodities. It was the fitness room that had me. It was a full blow gym!Nearby activities: Downtown Indianapolis is very close by
Chris Spinelli: Airport close to the hotel, reliable shuttle service. Rooms are nice, updated, and clean. The receptionist on duty during the late night/early morning could use a little training on customer service.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Great value …More
denise nicole: It was beautiful in there!!
Jonathan Gillespie: Worst customer service experience in my life. I only stayed for hours we called to get the park and stay refunded the only reason I did that was because they told me a different price on the phone and when I arrived it was $100 more total. So after staying for hours I didn't think I should have to pay $30 for my car to not be there for 2 weeks I called to get that refunded and then woman literally said to me in a boys what part of Park and stay did I not understand and why did I buy that option. The worst experience I've ever experienced in my life

Ryan Russell: LOUD construction. Will be going on for months.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Bobbie Kaltmayer: The hotel is under renovation, but that was not indicated in the booking. When my employee arrived the place looked empty and could not get into the lobby. Half of the roof is gone. After assuming the location was closed, he stayed somewhere else and no one at the hotel will give us a refund, for a room that was overcharged to begin with, and one that he never stayed in. Poor customer service.
Emily Cowan: Not a Hyatt!! I was surprised pulling up to see "Keystone Inn" printed on a temporary sign on the front of the building. I booked through a third party site, and it was not what I was expecting. We stayed one night for an event nearby.Convenient location just outside the city. Room was nice, bathroom a little dated. Pool was closed. Check in and out was fine. The ladies at the breakfast bar went all out to make sure everyone was happy. There was a big family reunion staying there, a lot of people eating, and they kept it stocked. Nice selection for free breakfast at this type of hotel.
aqueba carlisle-matlock: My family and I are currently staying at this hotel for a baseball tournament. Our team has more than 10 rooms and are staying 4 nights. My son went to the front desk to ask for a spoon and was told it cost $1. He came back to the room to tell me so I thought he misunderstood. When I called the front desk I spoke with a young lady named AL.(or that's what she claimed her name was) she stated that her manager Zach Sams told them that they must charge for everything after breakfast which ends at 10am. I was in Awe. I'm like we have over 10 rooms for at least 3-4 nights paying $200+ a night and I can't get a spoon. I've never heard of such. I informed her that I would be contacting their corporate office and posting this information on all the social media outlets.
B A Carpenter: RUDE AND NOT HELPFUL... ACTUALLY THE OPPOSITE OF HELPFUL.
Rudy Lopez: Nice hotel, and nice roomsRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Christopher Carlson: This is a very nice, clean, quiet, comfortable hotel. I will stay here again. I stayed here on a Thursday night for about half the price of any of the other nearby hotels I only noticed minor problems in that the heat was limited to 74 deg. F and the room phone didn’t work.
Sara Stadtmiller: Allister was amazing! My husband and I had a long and stressful travel day and she was very accommodating and friendly. Went above and beyond and made our night. The hotel even had space for us to park our moving truck. We will definitely come back here!Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Honest & Truthful: I typically like Hyatt's, but we won't be staying here again. The staff was friendly. I requested daily cleaning, but no one came. The beds were hard and uncomfortable, you could clearly hear the cars on the highway, so it wasn't a very quiet room at night and the room was very stuffy. Also, several of the outlets in the room didn't work. The front desk agent said that this hotel will be a Home 2 Suites by Hilton in the near future and they will be making some updates to it.
John Robinson: Great hotel an has everything close by from food an shopping to fun an bars
Johnny Motley: Great service. Front desk staff in the morning and night. Super helpful. Evett was very kind. Very informative. If u looking to get a very peaceful rest. And yet clean safe environment. This is the place to go
M: Spacious room and was very clean. Breakfast each morning was fair considering Covid protocols. Must request daily room service, which would have been nice to know at check-in. Overall, great location and good access to keystone mall and restaurants. The Sheraton connects to the mall via a temperature controlled cross walk, so that may be a good option to check out if you want direct access to the mall.
Ellie Keith: This hotel is amazing! So fresh, clean and modern. The rooms are really nice and very clean. The breakfast was good and the staff friendly. Will stay here again, for sure!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Cami Mattingly: Room was just ok. Our second key didn't work, only 1 washcloth for 2 people, the outlet for the coffee maker had been tripped and I didn't realize it until I called the front desk and the maintenance fixed that. I had also turned on the TV and the first channel was screwed up and when I tried to change channels, I couldn't. Of course, the maintenance was able to right away. Went down for the free breakfast, I found unsalted powdered eggs which were cold, gluten free taste less bagels, green bananas and no coffee. I expect more from a Hyatt.
Danyale Buckner: I really really liked itI had a cozy little room. The staff was nice also
Nino Dean: It was a very nice place to visit. Beds was very comfy. Emily the lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The manager Allison was very nice and helpful as well. She made us feel very welcome. We will visit again. 😁
Mina Rafla: Great hotel

MXX BRO: I would like to thank Nichol. She made our stay more convenient. The room we reserved had a lower rate after reservation. We asked her to help us fixing that and she did :)
Jennifer Sanchez: I am surprised with the Google rating bc this was definitely a 10/10! The lobby smelled so good and clean. The room was spacious and I always prefer laminate over carpet!! The hosts were so kind and funny/ down to earth. Stayed here with my family of 5, such affordable hotel with premium experience! Great location near many restaurants and still not too far from the city. Breakfast was delicious!

Nathan Wells: Checked in Friday - 2/3 room #209 and everything was well until I started hearing a loud boom every 30 mins or so, I left went to dinner and stayed out for a while that night. After coming back and finally getting ready for bed it seemed like it was non-stop! During checkout, I mentioned to the desk person how little sleep I did get because of this issue and it was literally no surprise to them, they know it's a problem yet they still make people use that room, I personally will be seeking a refund.

Clyde Deal: I stayed at this Hotel on December 7th. They billed my credit card two different transactions for a one night stay. They released on charge which I paid. Over two weeks later they have still not released the hold for the pending charge for the second transaction, that should not have been run against my charge card . We questioned the second charge before we left and they indicated it would release in two or three days. Been over two weeks now and the charge has still not been released. Multiple calls to the hotel have produced no results. Not sure if it is lack of knowledge or they just do not care. Hyatt Corporate customer care can not produce any results as they cannot see the accounting for this hotel. They have contacted the hotel and still cannot get the pending charge released. My suggestion is to avoid all Hyatt hotels if they cannot properly manage one simple transaction after over two weeks and multiple phone calls from a former customer.
Marc-Grégor Campredon: Super high standard especially for the area. Breakfast is amazing actually. It feels above any other hotel in the location.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Adison Alward: When we checked in the person working was on their phone, which I understand if it's slow, but didn't really give any sort of greeting. Next, when we got into our room, there were peanut crumbs/shells all over the rug and the end table seemed to have been left in the middle of the room. We had a cranky toddler with us so we just cleaned it up. Then this morning when we went down to breakfast, my husband searched through three dirty plates before finding a clean one. As we went to the front desk to check out, we had to wait for someone to come up front. The worker that was there clearly was either hungover or sick because she was wearing dark sunglasses and had her head down. We definitely won't be staying here again.
Fancy Fulton-Smith: Great service, friendly and clean!
Joe Reed: It was a nice hotel, and I got it at discount. The Hyatt Regency downtown is just so much better, the management there is top tier.Rooms: They were well arranged and very cleanNearby activities: It's is like a wasteland of parking lots and darkness
Gloria Maxwell: Had a wedding to attend there.Walkability: Was close to the wedding.Food & drinks: Breakfast was ok.
Nick Watt: One of the nicer Hyatt Place Hotels I have ever stayed at. Nice staff, good breakfast, clean and modern rooms.
Nicole & chris Durso: The bare minimum customer service is the standard here. Stayed her for a week and staff can't remember a face just about everytime I walk in lobby I'm asked if I need to check in. Asked for my room to be cleaned two days in a row with no luck. I truly dislike being treated like an inconvenience while paying good money to stay. They have a bar that's never open. A 20oz soda and a regular size pack of M&Ms will set you back $6 bucks. You compete with staff for up front parking.
Davey Rawlinson: 5+ stars. I can't say enough complimentary about the people working here. Sure, it's a mid-range chain, but the "included breakfast" was fresh, the counter was organized, the room was clean, and the employees really cared about us and their responsibilities. Will definitely return...Rooms: Uber cleanNearby activities: A couple of pleasant miles away is a great ice-cream shop.Safety: Seemed really safe
