Impact Martial Arts: what do users think?
Nora Harris: My son went to 2 classes. During this time nothing was explained to him just threw him into exercising with no stretching. Kids taught the first class. I witnessed a grown instructor throw a temper tantrum, telling his students how he didn’t have to be there ending his class early. It’s a shame because my son liked the other students but now goes to a different karate school that he enjoys much more and way more affordable. I highly recommend IRise Martial Arts inside the Get Fit Athletic Club on E Washington & Shortridge. We’ve been extremely satisfied with Grand Master Ingram’s school.
Ruben: Great Little Place to teach kids self-discipline, self-respect, and etc.
corey Mitchell: The instructors are great and friendly would highly recommend and if you are a spectator be prepared to get roped in by the instructors
Crystal Sower: I have not fully immersed myself in to this place yet but so far they seem really good,I just signed up my little one and I really like how they work with the kids! They Played Me-Edit review- my little one went there and it is not as advertised. He did not get his karate Gi, if that is how you say it and the man told me that to join I would have to pay 100$ sign up and 299$ fist month all due at one time and the 299$ would be per month. I think the prices should be laid out before you hand over the initial 50$ because if I had known it would be so much I would have never paid 50$ for a month of classes and then turn around and pay 300$ a month for the same classes that price jump makes no sense and is seems as though that is standard practice get you in the door then tell you they want an arm and leg for the classes that'sjust wrong to me. Go at your own risk. It is a nice studio and teachers but no no no to those prices🤨
Tim Barnett: Positive:Quality,ValueMaster Northup, is very knowledgeable and caring about his students. You couldn't ask for a better instructor.
Jennifer Baron: My son loves it. Awesome instructors
Christina Turner: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueImpact Martial Arts is a great place to take your child. My son is 7 and he absolutely loves it and it gives him a chance to be apart of something special. The owner and the instructors are very knowledgeable and friendly! Would 10/10 recommend!
Jared Huckstep: My son takes lessons here and he absolutely loves it. The instructors are very attentive
Annie bishop: Positive:Quality,ValueThis has been a great lace for my 5 year old. He absolutely loves going. It’s a great energy burner and the martial arts philosophy instills great lessons for young children. We have seen an improvement in his ability to listen and follow instructions. He is so motivated to get his black stripe!!!
Joseph “Joe” Divish: I've been a student at this location since April of 2019. The prices are fair and he even gives a discount if you pay in full for 6 months at a time (The best deal). Being in the military as well, Master Northup will even add time to your 6 months if you have scheduling conflicts related to military service. They have intense belt camps that allow students to gain knowledge and physical fitness in a short amount of time, which allows them to rank up in belts faster. If you just go to the website and fill out a form you will not have any question over looked. The free 2 weeks of classes to see if it's for you is also nice!
Chip Dean: Extremely professional a quality place to train
leonard duke: My son goes here it is an awesome learning experience if your kid likes boxing they would love this.
Angela Shamblin: Great place
Rafael H.: I initially signed up my my son and he loved it. He was having so much fun I decided to join as well. The instructors are very knowledgeable, and they're great with the children. I definitely encourage anyone who's looking to learn a lot and meet great people to sign up.
Antonio Key: The best Martial arts school that I have ever seen.
Maria Cooper: Awesome school and instructors! Lead instructor is an 8th degree black belt and actually studied under the founders of taekwondo! He is amazing with kids as are all the instructors. It has helped my son who has problems with ADHD and focusing. He has learned discipline and focus and is now on his way to black belt! They also learn other martial arts as well. I have never had a problem with uniforms. In fact, I don't care if my son was doing martial arts in his pajamas there as he has learned and improved so much! Highly recommend to anyone!
Matt Spears: The experience is great. The classes are fun and challenging.
Laura Beckley: I did not have provlem with uniform. Instructors are great with kids. Teaching respect and discipline. My grandson loves it!
julie stiers: Instructors are great at their job!
Missy Petty: The special that is offered for $69.00 is false advertisement. You do not receive a uniform. Unfortunately my 7 yr old grandson went through 5 1/2 of his 6 week class without a uniform. Beware..
Nathanael Ginn: Impact Martial Arts is a great place to learn self defense and get some exercise. It is a safe, fun environment for kids and adults to learn martial arts.

United Kempo Karate Schools: what do users think?
Jennifer Adams Franklin: My oldest has been in training for at least 4 years now. My youngest about 2.5 years. We choose karate to teach them discipline, respect, self confidence and self defense. We tell them “you’re only in competition with yourself.” It has been an amazing journey. The teachers are very effective, kind and highly proficient at their craft. We were spending so much time there, that after 4 years we decided to take the adult katate class. How fun is that? We really enjoy it! Same effect on adult as on children. Respect, self discipline and a serious confidence boost. My goal is a black belt of some level. 😄 My kids are in it for the long haul. I HIGHLY suggest it for all ages, but especially for children and teenagers. It’s like a 2nd home, with a family that really cares about your physical and mental well being.
Jennifer LaPrees: Excellent instructors. They teach discipline and self control along with karate skills. They care about the students enough to encourage them to do thier best.
Mark King: Grandmaster Mattocks heads up a program which is top notch on all levels.LeadershipInstructionPatienceAffordabilityAccountabilityAdjustments in specific training toward each studentThe curriculum here @ UKKS is fantastic and there are several classes for varied interests.Mr. Alex and Mr. Terry are knowledgeable and very proficient in their respective crafts and both are EXCELLENT instructors; the sense of family and comradery are also very apparent in being a student here.If you are striving toward becoming someone greater (on every level of life), enroll and surround yourself with a group who are all doing the same thing.
Rod Edwards: I'm an older man and newer student. Couldn't be happier. Grandmaster Mattocks is an excellent instructor. His staff are not only competent, but motivating. It's time and money well spent. I'm learning and having fun at the same time.
Roger Gorbett: There is no way to express my gratitude to United kempo karate schools for the help and influence they have had on my 12 and 6 year old boys. My six-year-old mother passed away unexpectedly 3 years ago and left him where he would not speak to any adults. Since they have signed up for the classes I have had three teachers pulled me to the side and could not believe how much of a turnaround he is made. They have some of the greatest instructors I've ever seen and they teach discipline and respect the same time the kids are having fun and loving being there I appreciate everything they do and I'm so grateful that there are still people in the world that care this much about children.
Mike Jr.: Great school. Been here 4 months, shedded some pounds, and learned lots of great things. A great family environment. Glad to call UKK my second home.
LB Swafford: This is a great place, Talented instructors, they are very good with children all the way to adult, from beginner to advanced and everything in between ,anything and everything you would need to know, I m glad to be apart of this school
Terry Davis: This is a great school and hidden gem. The atmosphere is that of a family and I am glad to be a part of it.
Kristopher Moeller: If you are looking for a family environment and great training, look no further than United Kempo Karate Schools. Grandmaster Mattocks and Alex Mattocks take pride in every student they have and make it a point to ensure everyone is getting the most out of their training. The variety of classes they offer can fit the need of any person that is looking to get into the Martial Arts. If you want the best in central Indiana I encourage you to stop by United Kempo Karate Schools. I promise you will not be disappointed.
Lori Burris: I love this school. My son Meliek Wright has been going since September, and its a big family. Thank you for everything you do Mr. M for my son.
Leeann Ramirez: I really enjoy being at the school with my family. It is a great place to learn and my kids are dong better at home and school. Mr. Alex and Master Mattocks care about their students and make sure they are learning correctly.

Level 10 Martial Arts College: what do users think?
Jackelyn Winingham: My son has been going here for over a year. We love it! Great environment and everyone is so friendly.
Cal Hultquist: My 16 year old son is thriving at Level 10. He has a learning disability but has really taken to martial arts. I would recommend it highly to parents of spectrum kids. They can use that focus to develop physical and interpersonal skills they'll use in the real world. The staff are kind and patient and teach excellent values. They tell kids the truth... one day you may have to defend yourself due to no fault of your own... but they do not teach aggression. Having 15 years in law enforcement and investigations, I know this is a true fact of life. Sometimes you can live the most peaceful life but violence can try to victimize your child and I want my son to have a fighting chance. If he never has to use these skills in self-defense, hey at least we got him out from behind a video game console! We're in this until the black belt.
K. Moore-Simpson: My grandson has been taking classes here for years. A great place and activity for young and old alike. Classes vary.
Mariah Callis Goodwin: Can’t speak highly enough! The owners are so friendly and kind while running a great business. I’ve been taking classes for over 6 months now and have enjoyed every minute. It’s a great place for kids to learn discipline and consideration through martial arts. It’s also a amazing place for adults to learn - I was hesitant as a woman entering a new martial arts space, but I am happy to say that they have been so welcoming and take all of their students seriously.I’ve gained confidence and it is a respite from my daily stresses. Run don’t walk!
charles Douglas: Great
David W: Great place to learn at
Kenny central Indiana: A great place. The people are nice and the kids love it.
Heather Stultz: LTMA has been a wonderful place for my daughter to grow in confidence and Martial arts ability. The staff and all the instructors are fabulous and it’s truly a family friendly environment. Associate Master Tucher is a fantastic teacher. He makes Martial Arts come alive and his passion makes everyone want to be a better student. He makes the class enjoyable for all ages, mixing fun activities in with the required curriculum. Roughly a year ago I decided to take a leap of faith and join my daughter on the mat. It’s the best decision I’ve ever made. Not only is it a good bonding experience for us but going to class has made me a stronger person. I know there are many other schools out there but hands down LTMA is the best choice!
Mary Ruiz: The Staff working there are very nice and they treat students with respect. Our son has been doing so well when he started here. My son has enjoyed all the activities that the place provides and he learn how to protect him self from other people who try to hurt him. I would give 10 stars if i could.
Amanda Turner: The staff and everyone involved are excellent! There are other schools that we looked into and by far made THE BEST DECISION to come to Level 10. AM Tucher has made a great impact on my son who struggles with self confidence, I can not thank him enough. His twin brother has recently enrolled as well and we are starting to see a difference with his attention and focus. I could write a thousand paragraphs but we'll leave it at that!
Eric Cherry: Great school and instructors!
Sarah Cherry: Best decision made for our children! Not only teaches Martial Arts, but also teaches Discipline, Respect, and Self Control!
Ashley Dunn: Has done amazing things for my son with ADHD. I cannot say enough about this place. The staff is incredible and the kids always have fun and learn!
stevet5808: Great family atmosphere. They not only teach the martial arts but also safety and manners.
Elizabeth P.: Not only do they learn self control self defense but also helped my daughter learn confidence and self pride. Also helps in more ways than I can list! A deff must!
Shannon C: My son has been a student at Level 10 for several months and we love it. After a bad experience with a previous school we were a little hesitant, but Master Tucher and the other instructors are great with the kids! My son loves it and we look forward to each class. As a parent I love the skills he’s learning.
Aleksandar Benic: We have seen improvement with our son even at home after only 3 sessions. We will continue coming here. These guys teach not only Martial Arts, but most importantly respect, discipline and self discipline.
J Turner: LTMA is amazing! We signed our son Jaylen up on their trial promotion and could not be more pleased. Everyone at LTMA make you feel welcome and like family as soon as you walk through their doors. The staff is helpful and full of knowledge and treat everyone with the utmost respect. The most impressive part is AM Toucher knows every students name and their families which makes it very personable. Thank you all at Level 10...it may be called level 10, but its level 100 and more with everything else you all do. Please come and join this awesome family.....you will love it too!
Kenneth Mitchell: This is a top notch facility, staff and Instructors are very friendly! My son has been attending for about 6 months now and always looks forward to class. Overall very pleased with Level 10 Martial Arts and highly recommend!
Samantha Bauerle: I found Level 10 by chance. My boys were signed up in a new student promotion and I was as nervous as they were to start this new journey. The staff and support staff have been there from day one encouraging, helping and guiding my children to grow physically and mentally. The atmosphere is positive and fun. My children have learned so much more than Martial arts. The guidance they receive on life lessons- respect, focus, discipline, humility, trust, honesty- is something that make this facility truly special. We love our Level 10 family!!
Dawn Webb: We absolutely love Level 10! The instructors are absolutely incredible and you couldn't ask for more. Their love for the kids and the entire family is evident in all that they do! They are knowledgeable and they take their job seriously. I wouldn't go anywhere else

Choi Martial Arts Academy LLC: what do users think?
Stacy B: We have been taking our kids here for 2 years. Choi Martial Arts is a fantastic place to take your kids to learn Tae Kwon Do. The program helps kids build confidence and see how hard work pays off. The instructors are professional, friendly, and so patient with the kids. They work hard to help the kids grow and improve their skills.. This program is absolutely the best you will find around Indianapolis!
Mary Jane Gordon: Very knowledgeable teacher from Korea. Our son learned a lot of good techniques on how to kick . 40mins drive to studio from where we live but it’s worth. Highly recommended.
Autumn King: Instructors are amazing and so patient. My 7 year old LOVES this place. It’s a family owned company so who you start with with be the same people your child will continue to learn with. I will be starting my youngest son as soon as he turns 4. I highly recommend 100/10
Kellie Rae: My family and I love Choi martial arts academy. They really care about the kids and take the time to teach them. My kids are always excited to go . I also love how they have really boosted my daughters confidence.
Prateek Sharma: I cannot say enough great things about Choi Master Arts Academy. My daughter and her friends have been practicing taekwondo here for several months now, and the experience has been truly amazing. The instructors go above and beyond to make sure that each student receives personalized attention and guidance. The facility itself is top-notch, with state-of-the-art equipment and plenty of space for students to practice and learn. And the atmosphere is always positive and welcoming, with a strong sense of community and camaraderie among all the students and staff.I highly recommend this martial arts academy to anyone looking for a top-notch training experience. Five stars!
Bill Amber: My son goes here and absolutely loves it. The nasters are amazing and really care about the students.
chris privett: Wonderful program, wonderful instructors ,
Scarlett Jones: Excellent people and teachers. Comfortable environment and a lot to learn!!
Kate Denesuk: I cannot say enough great things about Choi Martial Arts! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed with the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Master Choi, Master An, and Mister Choi (the instructors) are knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated to helping each student (whether child, teen, or adult) reach their full potential. They have a great balance of challenging everybody to improve while also ensuring fun and enjoyment. The facilities are clean and well-maintained with plenty of space to train. My child (now 6) started when he was 5, and I've seen so much growth and improvement in him (and he's quite timid and shy, so this was pretty amazing). They also have after school care and school break programs; my son attended the spring camp and will return for the summer camp because he had such a great time.I would highly recommend Choi Martial Arts for anyone looking to start their martial arts journey, for anyone looking to continue their martial arts journey, or for anyone who just wants to enjoy the art of tae kwon do.
Dianna Woodling: Amazing program! My son has gained so much confidence and is thrilled to come to class.

Master An is an amazing teacher and does great with our four year old. It’s been a great experience and we will keep coming back.Thank you!
Destiny's Symphony: My daughter has loved attending Choi martial arts. They are professional, caring and compassionate about what they teach here. And all the kids seem to have a great time learning martial arts. 100% recommend.
Brad Combs: This review and the ones before it tell the story. The Choi family are very special and our kids love them dearly. As so many others have mentioned, it is a family affair and they spend a great deal of effort to help develop the kid as well as the student.Safety is preached throughout and especially with sparring. Frankly, this is incredibly reassuring to some of the more timid kids like our daughter who needed the constant reassurance to break out of her shell. Everything is done with positive reinforcement and acknowledgement for efforts and accomplishments.Everything they do during training has an element of fun with opportunities for recognition of efforts and accomplishments for each kid. Your kid WILL get noticed and publicly complimented. By the end of training, you will swear each kid has grown an inch or two.We simply could not imagine a better place, environment or teachers for our kids to learn from.
Mickey Harden: Great school with attentive and knowledgeable instructors. My boys have more confidence and are excelling on and off the mat. 🥋
Sung Ku Sung: Positive:Professionalism,Value
John: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityGreat place for children to learn responsibility and discipline in a fun and safe environment. Staff is involved in all aspects of the teaching and training of each student. Would highly recommend.
Tabitha Garthwaite: Such a beautiful family owned business. They're both athletically professional and incredibly heartfelt and sincere. My kids love Choi and solook forward to going to class.
Idamarie Collazo: Since May 2021, we've been working hard building up our technique and strengthening our mindset, all thanks to this family centered dojo and attentive masters. My daughter's self-esteem has grown in a positive direction and we've made friends along the way. This has been a great adventure for our family and we are looking forward to how our journey plays out as a student with Choi Martial Arts Academy. You can guarantee the master's are attentive to their students and share a deep respect for the art. You will learn. You will work hard. You will fall but they will be there to lend a hand every step of the way.
eduardo Pineda: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueWe are very pleased with the instructors and the academy , my daughter's love to train there, the academy have an awesome after school program also !
Jossiettia Thomas: My grandson is a student there and has been there for four years. He is doing well and has learned a lot. This is a great program. He has also benefitted from the afterschool program and with the discipline, love and skills learned, he is a red striped belt, a straight A student in the seventh grade, and a well mannered young man.

Geist Martial Arts: what do users think?
Linda West: Love Geist Karate. My granddaughter loves going. The instructors are great and student to instructor ratio is great. Have recommended them and will continue to recommend them.
Christina Marsh: Great place for kids to learn martial arts.
Donald Eldridge: We have been coming here for a few years now. Mr. Byrd and the staff are amazing with kids. He remembers each child's name very quickly which make them feel special. They have a great way of connecting with the kids and helping them build confidence. The schedule is set as you can find a day/s that work with your schedule with being a realtor my schedule is all over the place but i can still get my son in a few times a week.
Scott Lantz: Great place! Amazing experience for both kids and adults!
Robert Hixson: Our kids have gone here for over a year and they still love it. The owners (Byrds) are great with kids. The instructors are forever students showing an incredible path for you or your kids to take as well.
Terry Siegel: Affordable, no contracts, great teachers and the owners are the best! My grandson loves it!
Karen Murphy: The owners, staff, and atmosphere are excellent! Our granddaughter moved to New Castle & we still pick her up so she can make it to at least 2-3 classes a week! She LOVES it!!
William: I highly recommend Geist Martial Arts. If you are looking for a family friendly and positive environment this is the place to be. It has become an activity that our whole family is now a part of. Mr. and Mrs. Byrd bring structure and laughter to their training techniques which is an absolute joy to be a part of. Most importantly our kids have learned and are continuing to learn important life lessons that they will carry all their life.
Martha Her: Our 4yr old just loves coming to karate here. The staff is very patient and understanding with all ages. There’s activities and new words they can learn and use in everyday use. Such a great way to burn energy AND learn core manners at the same time! Our 2nd child will certainly go here once he is of age too!
Camille Cook: Both of my daughters attend Geist Martial Arts. I highly recommend. They have great instructors that are patient and creative with keeping the class fun and also educational.
Casey Fox: We recently moved to the area and our daughter expressed interest in trying Martial Arts. We read the amazing reviews for Geist Martial Arts and decided to give them a try. Our daughter has anxiety and was extremely nervous, however the amazing staff (especially Ms. Rosenthal and the Byrd’s) quickly made her laugh and put her at ease. It quickly became her favorite activity. If your child has anxiety, is shy, nervous, or just needs some self-confidence do not hesitate. They are amazing and will absolutely bring out the best in your child. We’ve witnessed it with our daughter.
Lindsay Ehrgott: Absolutely love Geist Martial Arts! We pass several other martial arts locations to bring our son here. All of the instructors do an amazing job of keeping the kids focused and make sure they are actively participating. My son has been going here for almost a year and ALWAYS looks forward to going to class and loves to practice what he learns at home. There is no contract, they're affordable, very patient with the students, and the classes are very active and fun! Highly recommend this place!
Shelby Kissick: In the 6 months that I have attended, every person I have encountered has been so kind, patient, and generous. They seem to have found the perfect balance between teaching lots of practical skills while also maintaining a slightly more relaxed atmosphere. Would highly recommend to anyone!
Crista Neeson: The best thing about this place is the owners and staff!!! My kids love taking classes here and have learned so much!
Jennifer Sheets: My son has been a student here since early 2018. We value his experience here. He has received wonderful, knowledgeable instruction in taekwondo that has translated to everyday life. If you are looking for a martial arts studio, I would highly recommend Geist Martial Arts!
Frances Evans: Let's start off with saying my kids love Mr. Byrd and all the instructors. Mr. Byrd adds a little humor into his teachings, keeping the kids engaged. He also teaches them about having self control, determination when it gets hard, and other lessons that matter in their daily lives..all while providing them with skills in self defense and confidence. Another benefit is they don't make you sign a contract, gracious with payment times when needed and they are flexible with class times (we are a very busy family and they have allowed us to attend a different class level when needed since the times worked better for us). I also love that they genuinely like to give back to the community. I wish all businesses ran the way they do. I could go on, but come find out for yourselves.
Jake M: Couldn’t be happier with what I see day in and day out at Geist Martial Arts. My 6 year old joined about two years ago and the transformation I have seen is incredible.GMA not only teaches a martial art, but teaches great life skills for the students, which are continuously reinforced each class. The staff are all friendly, patient, and helpful. Mr. Byrd is a wizard with the kids and both parents and students enjoy his unique personality and ways to lighten up the class. If you haven’t signed up yet, go for it.5/5
Lauren George: Amazing program and staff. So fortunate to have them in our children’s lives.
Brittney Sundheimer: We absolutely loved our time at Geist martial arts. The instructors are great with kids and the pricing was so affordable for our single income family.
Kirsten Robbins: My child absolutely loves this karate studio. They really make learning fun. I also appreciate that they teach my child important lessons about working hard, being kind, and being a good sport. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Tiffany Gaidoo: Absolutely amazing business, amazing instructors, and amazing atmosphere. Finding Geist Martial has been a true blessing for our family.

Indianapolis Martial Arts Academy: what do users think?
Andrew Hughes: IMAA has been a great place for me and my kids to study the art of Taekwondo together. Master Benjamin and the other instructors are in it for all the right reasons. Glad to have a resource like this right here in Pike Township!
D. Frank Adams: Master Benjamin and Instructors Flight, Spurlock and Rankin have worked my daughter for about 6 months. This dynamic team has taken a child that was unsure and unfocused and has began a transformation that is amazing. The great part is that ALL students are treated this way! From confidence building to establishing respect for all, this school applies these concepts into all who enter the door.

Eastside Family Karate: what do users think?
Angela Towne: Positive:Professionalism
Sylvia Parra Garcia: Extremely efficient and I highly recommend!
Jennifer Kehl: I originally brought my son here because he was being bullied at school. He is on the Autism Spectrum and I was assured he would be worked with the best way for him. He has been treated with respect in the most amazing way. I am now taking classes with him! I highly recommend doing so with your child(ren). This is a family environment that opens opportunities and confidence for everyone. My son has blossomed since starting here and has goals for the future. He was shy and quiet and now walks with his head up looking others in the eye (if you know kids on the spectrum that doesn't happen!) The Senseis and Teachers here are kind and patient yet know when to push you because they see your potential. Sensei Hernly, Sensei Ben, Sensei Tong, and Mr. Henry are eager to teach and genuinely love what they do. They are here for the students and nothing more.
lawrielle beamen: Very professional, my son loves it. He is very attentive to the students. Great place!
Kristen Bailey: This place offers excellent and fun karate lessons for the whole family! The instructors are knowledgeable, patient, and kind. You can tell they love what they teach!
jamie Murphy: I dont have a child enrolled here but my nephew is enrolled and he loves it. My brother says the discipline that is taught is unmatched. Excellent for teaching young ones the right path in life!
Jefferey Routh: I highly recommend Bailey's Family Karate. If you're looking to get in shape or learn self defense this is your place. Excellent for kids, Renshi Bailey excels at teaching kids discipline and respect as well as self defense. This is the best school on the Eastside of Indy. Come join us!
Dale Greenly: I love the attention Renshi Bailey and his other instructors give the students! the patience and kindness goes a long way in helping the students learn! the academy is clean and everyone is happy to help others!
Matt Gilbank: My son started attending in the Little Dragons course after he had taken to hitting in his day care. We thought a bit of discipline may help him learn to control it. He was very enthusiastic about attending his classes and within a week we stopped hearing about him hitting. He was paying better attention and not resorting to it as his go to option. He has continued(he is 6 now) with the assistance of several instructors at Bailey's Family Karate and is quickly approaching a junior black belt. He is still very enthusiastic about achieving this goal. The school has been great for teaching him discipline, respect and helping to raise his confidence. All of the instructors and members are very understanding and supportive. I would recommend anyone with interest in karate to check out this great dojo.
Jacqueline Hurst: i have been training with Renshi Terry Bailey for 15 years and could not ask for a better instructor! Bailey's Family Karate is a fun, disciplined, and engaging atmosphere. If you are looking to train as a family, just for your child, or for yourself I highly recommend this school. The instructors are both skilled and patient, taking into account every learning style and speed. They keep the students engaged with everything from self defense to life skills. This is by far the best karate school I have been to in my 15 years of training.
Thomas Yazell: I highly recommend this school. My son (11) has studied under Renchi Terry Bailey for 18 months. If you want solid instruction this is your choice.
anjum ghiasuddin: Great instructors and atmosphere. You will learn lifelong skills, respect, discipline and self-confidence. Baileys family karate is dedicated to the students.

Jeanie Gensheimer Martial Arts: what do users think?
R Jackson: Everyone is always welcoming. This is a place to learn at your own pace with great support from not only the instructors but the other students as well.
Broxton Bird: My son, daughter, and I have all been members of Sensei Gensheimer's dojo for over a year now and we love it! Adults and kids can easily take the same class and the teaching is differentiated extremely well so that all levels and ages get to lear at their own levels. Sensei Gensheimer and her teachers are also fantastic with kids. It's been a great experience and I can't recommend it highly enough.
Michelle Brady: We have had a really wonderful experience there, they are amazing with kids.
John Wright: Qualified and professioinal instructors, participants of various ages. POSITIVE environment , great combination of attention to detail in the Karate way AND fun.
Marianne Cardwell: Our family has been learning karate from Sensei Gensheimer for many years and I cannot say enough good things about her. I have seen my children grow tremendously over the years, thanks to Sensei's guidance. They are now both junior black belts. She is wonderful with children, teenagers, and adults alike. The dojo feels like a very welcoming family. I highly recommend it!
Ye Jin Wickesberg: My three children and I all practice karate at this dojo with Sensei Gensheimer. This program instills confidence, self-discipline, self-awareness, and respect within the karate practice. What we also love, is the community that is built with supporting one another through their journey in karate. Each child (and adult) moves at their own pace, and Sensei Gensheimer and all of the teachers that work under her guidance are patient and kind with each individual and helps them to achieve their goals. No matter what age, what ability level, everyone is able to participate and feel great about their progress as an individual. We highly recommend this program!
Marc: My daughter has been with Gensheimer Martial Arts for the past 10 years, since the age of 6. Jeanie and the other Senseis are fantastic, and have instilled confidence, strength, and leadership into her. The program teaches discipline, respect, and courtesy in a fun environment. You could not find a better program for kids or adults.
Michael Cardwell: Sensei has provided a wonderful and very flexible environment for our entire family to learn karate and learn about ourselves.
Vince Hernly: I've been training with Sensei Gensheimer for over 10 years, she has a great program!
Nicole Beeman-Cadwallader: We love Sensei Jeanie's dojo - the differentiated instruction by levels, the personal attention to each student, the explicit attention to character skills development. Our son is very motivated and focused and looks forward to karate every week!
Ann Foisy: My daughter has been participating in karate for 8-9 months. We started with summer camps and continued with classes during the week at the Riviera Club. The environment is fun & positive, while also structured. It’s a great community of people, too, with a few events throughout the year to get together with each other. Come join us!

Family Karate Academy USA: what do users think?
Kristen Fox: My daughter has been going here for almost a year now she’s now 4 years old and she loves it! I like that they have different times everyday it helps to accommodate different schedules. I like how well Israel Galan is with the young kids he’s really good at both teaching them but still doing it to where the kids are having fun.Update: It’s been 4 and a half years now since we signed our daughter up for karate and she still loves it and is determined to get her black belt!
Jody Mitchell: Both of my daughters love this place! They’re all so nice and helpful!! Stern on their rules! Great place to learn discipline 🥋
Johan Atlatenco: I used to go to this karate academy and it was fantastic I learned so much and they sensei's show us respect and discipline. I will never forget them and of what they have taught me.
Don Webb: Excellent dojo with great teachers who really care about each pupil's advancement in the Shorei Goju Ryu karate style. Family oriented, flexible, attend whenever you are able and a class is sceduled. Great for kids! I don’t think I ever saw one unhappy kid there - they love it - all the while learning manners, respect, honor, and valuable self defense skills. Great for adults too - I enrolled at 56 years old, had a great time, got in great shape, and learned many things that have changed the person I am for the better. For the value you get here the cost is a bargain!
Jareb Youngstafel: My daughter love doing karate at this school. It has a family friendly atmosphere and many parents learn along side their children.
isaiah favors: Been great with my son!
Chandeler Bazin: Family karate academy is the best place to learn karate i was very to be here to learn karate and self defense
Andrew Johnson: Very knowledgeable and Friendly Instructor Glad I join Today. Now I take on the journey🥋
Walter Huber: Amazing family oriented. My grandma, mom, sisters and myself went. And now my daughter gets to go.
Jakara Segrest: This place is the best decision for my son. he started at 3 he's 4. A life of life skills, teaches respect for everyone and discipline. I had his birthday party here and it was very well set up and a very good price for food and fun (Covid style). Both Sensei's are great people ! And the price are not very reasonable!
Brandon Taylor: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
Nathasha Mesi: It is definitely a friendly environment for all ages. Ever since my first visit I have had every reason to be excited for my next visit and what the day has in store for me. Definitely recommend it for anyone looking for self defense places for them and their families! Great staff!!! Check it out you won’t be disappointed!!!
Anna Doerflein: Great dojo! Instructors are very patient with young children. Not only do they work on karate, but foster self-discipline and respect.
Ivie Hiller: Watched my niece’s class and the class was awesome! The instructor worked so well with her and she really enjoys the class 😊 very impressed
robert brooks: Absolutely a great Dojo! I Would recommend to everyone. Big family, small families, even anyone by them selves! Just come in and sensi piper will work with you on a great deal to get the whole family kicking!
David Ritter: I've been going here for 1 year with my brothers and sisters and we plan to stick around! Awesome teachers. I've learned alot and have obtained some useful skills!
Carlyn Craig: Family Karate Academy is an excellent place to lean not only karate but self discipline, respect, and an excellent work ethic. Sensei Piper and Sensei Golan reinforce the morals and strong family values were teaching our kids at home. Also, if you've decided to take your kids here you'll have to wait and watch while they work...might as well join them on the mat. It's been great for their dad as well who decided to join their class.
Yvonne Rager: This karate establishment and instructors are truly fantastic! They are great with young children too! So happy I found this place.
derek zimmerman: 5 stars!!!I can’t express how much me and my family have gotten out of the time spent and training we have received. Me, my two youngest daughters and my wife all attend Family Karate USA and we have grown closer as a family since we can all interact with each and train together, at our own pace, to become black belts. What other extra curricular activities allow that type of environment? Sensei Piper and Sensei Galan are very knowledgeable in what they train and are absolutely superb at conveying the information to all the different age levels. I feel as well the style being trained is a very well structured, practical application of real life use if ever needed. Plus the environment they provide has offered many friendships to form in our Karate community and my class mates are absolutely family to me.
Dorothy Mark: Thanks for doing a wonderful job teaching my Grandaughters Karate. Without your professional experience and patience with children, they wouldn't be so far advanced in their lessons. We greatly appreciate the healthy and loving environment that you provide to family's.
GGF Hop: I live right around the corner from this. Can i be 19 and still participate
