JLP: I had Booher come out to quote a kitchen island update. At first I was told the consult was free. Then when they came out there was an associated cost. There were levels of cost depending on how many options you wanted. I was relying on their expertise to tell me what I could do and didn't anticipate I would need several revisions, so I selected the basic service. I don't mind paying someone for their service. The initial appointment was okay. I believe the representative was thorough in checking out the island and associated structure. We had just moved in and things were a little crazy.They sent me a VERY detailed bid which was just above $26,000 to redo my kitchen island granite in a slightly different shape. I was not provided a drawing which showed me how they would redo or what it would look like. The cost was also subject to change if I chose a more expensive counter type.When I inquired about exactly what they were doing for that amount, I was told that I didn't pay for a drawing that is why I didn't get one. When I informed them the cost seemed very high, especially in light of the fact they couldn't show me anything I was told that I should make and appointment to come into the design center. I have never been to a design center where it didn't cost more. I also had no desire to go any further with the company since they couldn't provide me anything except and overpriced bid.We are getting ready to start several projects in our home and I will NOT be including Booher in the bid process. I am actually still very upset by the experience and it has almost been two years.

I never felt uneasy about any of their employees coming in and out of our home. They were considerate, friendly and cleaned up after themselves after each job they performed. Rob M: Booher does very nice work at a very competitive price. In 2017 Booher did a complete bathroom gut / remodel for us and did a great job. In 2019 we had a leak in the shower tile. This was found after our warranty had expired. Unfortunately the original tile had been discontinued so to fix the leak they ended up having to remove and replace the entire shower. Even though we were out of warranty Booher completely re-built the shower at no cost to us. Every contractor that does enough work will eventually have an issue on a project - the way to judge the great companies is how they handle the issue when they do come up.So when it was time to remodel our kitchen / dining area in 2020 it was a no brainer that we wanted to use Booher as long as they were at least competitive with our other bids. Lucky for us we did not have to put a $ value on our trust of Booher because their quote was actually a bit lower than our other two.They did another great job on the kitchen / dining room remodel. We love the cabinets, countertops, tile backsplash and new dry bar. Our only complaint was that the painting subcontractor was painfully slow (we had them paint the entire main level so this meant furniture was covered for over a week while painting outside the kitchen remodel).Thanks again to the Booher crew for another nice project.

Karen Melbert: Chateau helped us with our major kitchen remodel. We gutted the whole thing top to bottom--removed all cabinets, counters, appliances, flooring, and backsplash, widened the doorway from kitchen to dining room, replaced pantry doors and made the opening taller so it matched the height of adjacent, open doorways, and moved/added recessed lighting and appliances. We also replaced sliding glass door, swapping it for French Doors (we did this on our own). Chateau designed the new layout which included thorough measurements, blueprints, CAD drawings, meetings with the designer for detailed cabinet and hardware selections, etc. We chose custom cabinets through Chateau because they wound up being more cost effective than the stock cabinets we were considering. It was great because we got exactly what we wanted for a better price. We did work with our own flooring company mainly because we were matching existing hardwood in adjacent rooms, and our hardwood was still available from their vendor. We also chose our own lighting, plumbing fixtures, and appliances and paid each retailer directly. Chateau's subs installed all of them though, except French doors. We did use our own painter simply because of the demand on Chateau painting subs at the time.We spoke to 3-4 different companies, but chose Chateau for its full-service remodeling process. Each and every Chateau staff person was so nice and extremely professional. Paul was an outstanding and attentive project manager, and when he was on vacation, Todd, the head PM filled in and he was fantastic as well. Shannon designed our beautiful kitchen, and then designer Meredith helped us with the details like backsplash and hardware selections right up until the end. Meredith was great to work with as well--very attentive and organized. Steve, the owner, even checked in during the process, and introduced himself to me when I was in the showroom.After 19 years, our kitchen was in desperate need of a refresh. I appreciated the hand-holding Chateau provided, especially since we had never undertaken a major remodeling project before. Kitchen remodels are not for the faint of heart, and they are a big investment if done the right way. The kitchen is the heart of the home, and when it is out of commission, you definitely need to get creative when cooking, and washing dishes in auxiliary sinks. Working with a company like Chateau makes the inconveniences a little more bearable, and when you see the end result, it is SO worth it!I will add that we recently have had guests in our home (one who works for a contractor) make the comment that our new kitchen blends so well and the fit and finish is so good, it looks like it has always been here. Isn't that the goal when you remodel? We are very pleased with how our kitchen turned out and wouldn't bat an eye hiring Chateau again for a future project.The tricky part of our project was staying within the budget. Post-pandemic, prices were changing daily, so we ended up going over budget on things like countertops, hardware, and lighting. I do wish that our initial lighting budget would have been bigger. We needed 2 large pendants over our 9 foot island along with lighting above the sink. We also added 2 new fixtures in our mudroom, located off the kitchen. I don't believe the quoted budget came close to covering even one of the huge island pendants we chose, which is why we decided to purchase the lighting separately, and use the lighting budget towards other line items. This worked fine for us. Chateau works within all kinds of budget parameters. Just be aware that when you gut a kitchen and use a quality company, you have to be prepared for the time and the investment. Barbara Tully: I had a terrific experience with Chateau Kitchens! Tom did a great job on the design and bringing up things for consideration I'd not thought of - experience counts! The footprint of things didn't really change but the cabinets, countertops, backsplash and flooring were being significantly upgraded. Plus, I had a custom banquette built along a half-wall between my kitchen and family room, with tons of storage underneath with pull-out drawers.Paul was the project manager and was on top of communicating with me regularly, which is half of the worry for homeowners when going through a renovation and not knowing what is going on. Paul and I either saw each other every day, or communicated by phone or text every day so that expectations were clear for the next day's work.Plus, Chateau was very clear that work wouldn't start until everything was in - appliances, fixtures, handles, knobs, drawer pulls, lights, et.al. Jennifer Clemmer: I have now used Heartland Builders for two projects. The first one was the installation of new gutters,soffit, and gable siding. The second was the painting of door and window frames and my garage door.The first project was the gutters, soffit and siding. The team showed up early in the morning and got start to work. I noticed that underneath the old siding was some rotted wood. Logan Lines (project manager) was on his way so I asked if we could replace this. He went immediately to pick up the replacement lumbar. I also had the a lot of rotted gutter boards so they replaced those. They were done with the project in two days. Logan was in constant contact about when we would be starting the project as well as updates.Logan came after that project was done. Then asked about my paint job. Logan had a guy out later that day and I had the formal estimate in a couple days. I believe he came on a Friday for the estimate. We got the project in motion. The painters were great. Came to get me with any questions. Honestly I wish I had an endless supply of money because I would have them pain my interior. Don’t worry will use them when I save up again.Cost: I have about a 1200 square ft house ranch style. I had gotten 4 estimates. I had two very high estimates and two that I thought the project was going to cost me. I went with Heartland Builders because Logan talked about options. Heidi Borchelt: We had Lifestyle Group remodel 2 baths after water damage. It was so convenient to go to one location to choose finishes (cabinets, floors ,tiles, toilets, hardware, etc. We weren't stuck searching on our own at the big box stores or various specialty stores. This was a real time saver for busy lifestyles. Their interior decorator, Stephanie, was so helpful with suggestions. However, she was not pushy at all. Everyone we worked with, from Geoff to Stephanie, and all of the staff that worked in our home, was genuinely nice, clean and efficient. The work was done quickly as well. . As with any remodel/construction, issues came up, however, Geoff addressed our concerns quickly, and had a great response to all of our concerns. This group will not leave you high and dry! I would recommend and hire again!

From the first phone call to the moment when they are completed, the professionalism, quality, care, and sincere interest in your home and project are plainly evident. And, it doesn't end there! Amanda Lewis: We bought our house back in December 2018. It had the original, 1950's style kitchen that needed remodeled. We hired Lifestyle to tackle the job. Stephanie first came out and took pictures and giving us all her ideas on what we could do. Stephanie and the project manager, Geoff, really put our dreams into reality! I felt nit-picky at times and Geoff took all my requests and went above and beyond for us. The kitchen is now my favorite room in the house and it is absolutely beautiful. We will definitely use them for future projects!!

Erich Hofacker: We loved the kitchen remodel that the Lifestyle Group did for us!! The whole experience was great! My wife and I would highly recommend working with Lifestyle Group for anyone needing to do a small or major home renovation.Our home had a pretty tiny kitchen with minimal counter space and not much cabinet space for storing items. A major kitchen overhaul was needed. Lifestyle came up with a great redesign of our kitchen that involved demolishing a wall and incorporating our dining room for expanded space. The project schedule and pricing were appropriate for the remodel. Lifestyle had very skilled (and friendly!) workers doing the demo work, installing the new appliances (oven/range, hood, microwave & refrigerator). Additionally, they installed new kitchen flooring, assembled a beautiful mosaic above the range, installed a gorgeous quartz kitchen island for added counter space, added light fixtures over the island and installed cabinets. Separately, Lifestyle managed contracting out plumbing and electrical work. They also worked with city inspectors to make sure everything met city code requirements.Since Lifestyle was already renovating our kitchen, we also asked them to install new flooring in our living room and family room and entry way bathroom and install a new toilet and sink/vanity in this bathroom. They did a great job with this too.All in all, everything was top notch! Lifestyle Group was always immediately responsive and met our needs 100%!! Highly recommended!

Our ideas of what we hoped for with the kitchen renovation, were taken above and beyond what we thought would be the finished product. All the workmanship was top notch and completed on time and at the agreed on price.

Mary Myers: I enjoyed working with Geoff and his team. I had several smaller projects to be done and they would have not gotten done if I had to take the time to hire individual contractors to complete. Lifestyle Group took care of all the scheduling. When I questioned an area on the newly installed floor, Geoff agreed the small area needed to be replaced vs repaired.

John N: We had Lifestyles Group remodel our bathroom by replacing an old tub/shower with a new walk in full shower. In addition we also had them install a new vanity, wall cabinet, mirror, lighting, and tile flooring. We were very pleased with the finished bathroom. Russell Evans: As recommended, we received three full bids for the work that we needed done on the house we had just purchased. It is an older home and was in need of a total kitchen remodel as well as a few other upgrades we wanted to make. Lifestyle's estimate was right in line with the other quotes...was not the most inexpensive but was within range of what we thought reasonable. In the end, we elected to go with them because they seemed to have a full grasp of what we were wanting and a clear path to get us there.It was a good move...there is no comparison when it comes to communication, professionalism, quality of work, and commitment to our satisfaction. This was a LONG project that I was mostly managing from our old home prior to our move. Stephanie (designer) was a pleasure to work with and the primary reason we moved forward with this group. I am extremely impressed with this company as a working partner.The finished produce was beyond what we expected. All cabinets, appliances and tiling was done with precision...straight, balanced and cleanly installed. In the few short weeks since completion our family and friends have been blown away by the difference. There is not much else to say except they delivered 100% on the vision and expectations.Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend Lifestyle for remodeling projects. I will certainly be using them for future work on this home.

There are not many companies that I will let into my house, let alone into my house alone. And with the lifestyle group I had no hesitation of letting them in while I went to work. Mary-Margaret Sweeney: We went to Tom for a total kitchen renovation. He had a lot of options to choose from, and it was evident he had been doing this a long time. We chose his quote over other local companies due to this. Tom recommended a GC he works with often, Feinberg Construction, and we also had a good experience with them. When we changed our minds about a design element after seeing it in the space, he worked hard to accommodate the change. Our kitchen had not been remodeled since it was built in 1949, and was not very functional. It is now a beautiful space done just in time for fall food canning and freezing season!

Georgia Peach: THE BEST PLACE for cabinets & counter tops. We went to, I know, 10 diff places looking. No joke! For 4-6mths we looked. Finally found Pioneer Kitchen. Tom, I must say is the ideal type of person to help you. He was very patient, gave us some great ideas, suggestions, recommendations & there was no pressure. Stayed after hrs to talk & discuss our options, choices & chgs we wanted. Fair prices - better than Menards & better quality. There was a small delay with counters, (out of his control) but he made up for it with something even better. Dane & Zack did a wonderful job installing the cabinets. Dane was very particular with the work he was doing. Paid attn to detail, very organized & precise with the things he was doing. Worked very hard the entire time with little talking. Got the job done on time. Not sure who did the counters, but again - excellent job. Everything was done within a few days. Brian came over later on to do some minor fixes. Very nice man & we really enjoyed our conversation with him. I am so VERY happy with my new kitchen. I highly recommend Pioneer Kitchen & the whole team. Great bunch of people doing great work together. I LOVE LOVE MY NEW KITCHEN.

Richard Blackburn: I contacted Tom, the owner of Pioneer Kitchens, about getting a rough estimate for refacing our kitchen cabinets. He said to send him photos and he could give the estimate. His estimate was within our budget, so he came out to measure and to make suggestions on adding drawers, modifying existing drawer configurations, and organization. We agreed to all his suggestions. We told him what we wanted in terms of modifying our pantry with drawers and he incorporated all our wishes. We went to the showroom and picked out the wood and hardware with Tom’s help.Initially Brian (a highly skilled craftsman) and his apprentice, Zack, worked on the installation and Dane (another highly skilled craftsman) finished up the last couple of days. They were on time, put up a plastic sheet to cut down on dust throughout the house and cleaned up after each day’s work. We were extremely impressed with their precision and problem-solving skills. The pantry drawers were installed based on the height requirements we wanted. The last day I watched as Dane installed a cabinet door and made several adjustments to assure it was perfectly aligned to close properly. I felt it demonstrated what a perfectionist he is. I would imagine other carpenters would not have been so precise and demanding.Overall, πwe are absolutely thrilled with our “new” kitchen and we now have the kitchen cabinets, drawers, and pantry that make our kitchen so beautiful and functional. John Byer: We had several places that never responded with an estimate. I wanted to replace the fronts of all my cabinets and install 2 new vanities. I had Tom come out and he was so amazing. They replaced the fronts on all of my cabinets and remodeled the countertop and replaced the sink and countertops. I wanted glass inserts. They did the kitchen,2 bathrooms, laundry room and my vanity in 3 days with top quality cabinets. Everything was perfect and the 3 employees were top notch. It is a family business and Tom is a very nice man. I saw they were a 5 star rated business and I would rate them higher than that.
