Debra M: The branch is located off a main road. The staff is always friendly, helpful and courteous. The branch is very clean and well maintained. I'd highly recommend this branch to all patrons.
Benjamin Shover: All the benefits of a large library in this small little neighborhood branch. Items can be reserved and brought from any other branch in the IMCPL system quickly (as long as there isn't a line of people waiting on that item). They have a lot of the latest books, music, and films.
Adyson Mullin: Loved the Adzooks Puppets show at the Pike Library! I went with my four year old cousin and we had a blast. The puppeteers were very funny and there act fit the age group perfectly. Looking forward to more programs over the summer!

Wilson Reyes: The Indianapolis Public Library system is one of the best in the country. You can request almost anything and get it sent to which branch you are closest to. This Pike Branch to me is the best. I have been coming here for almost 20 years and they not only are so respectful but they know your name and treat us right. So many services here for the community, there is no reason to not read, listen to music, watch movies and more.
Brian Banks: This is MY neighborhood library. One of the few places I actually feel at home, away from home. I can't see me ever moving away from Pike township!

Indianapolis Public Library - Glendale Branch: what do users think?
Jules F: The staff is always friendly and the facility is always clean!
Beulah Okonkwo: Kids get noisey, staff doesn't bother to ask for "quiet please" ! Also no COVID precautions remain in place! Otherwise a well managed library!
Marlenne Aguilar: We love going for baby story time. Staff is very kind and nice. Very helpful every time
Robert Lin: A terrific library! It's in a somewhat unexpected location (next to a Staples) as the library is located on the upper level of what appears like a giant mall-like complex. But once you actually get inside, the place is awesome! A great selection including some terrific coffee table books. Good lighting, clean, and helpful staff! Parking is also super-easy and free as well.
Alana Lopez: One of my favorites.
Ashley Merryman: Staff is super helpful and nice, they have good programs for kids and adults during the day, summer reading program was pretty good, love the Master Gardener seed library during the spring/summer, and the drive-up book return is very convenient for easy returns. Parking is always available, and the strip mall is low traffic and quiet. Fun puppet stage area for kids to play, and kid-friendly computers and Lego station as well.
Lana Noel: Please…… send emails if the establishment will be closed. I have been twice to see locked doors. Overall this library has been clean with polite staff. One staff member even picked books for my 9 year old she loved! But yea… let me know about closures before I waste 5.25 in gas driving here!
Pam A: A really great place to work from home!
Ray Lemar: Such a nice library tucked away next to the Target. The main library is upstairs, and features , a nice selection of books, videos, computers, study areas and magazines. Great way to spend the afternoon.
Maxine Hall: I was very satisfied with the service rendered.
Ida Carter: Very nice place,
scott cassulis: The library is a Very Nice and Quite Place to go to read books and to go on the computer and the librarians are Very Nice and Respectful
Sean Morse: I love this branch. Excellent dvd selection and the staff are amazing. I paid for a PLAC but accidentally didn’t take it with me, the staff mailed it to my house! Highly recommend
Nicole O'Sullivan: Great location, quick and easy to sign up for a library card and great options for the kids!
Erin Croteau: I am impressed and grateful that they are open during the pandemic. They have someone posted outside the entrance to answer questions and make sure everyone knows they need to keep their masks on while inside. There are plexiglass barriers at all the staff/customer counters, and the patron computers are all spaced well apart, and have "need to be cleaned" signs attached that you flip over the monitor when you're done so staff knows it needs to be sanitized.
Krista DeBoer: Always very helpful, kind staff. At a previous visit, they were very patient with my crying baby and even had some bubbles to try to distract him.
Lady Warrior: Small most times a bit loud but it's quant.
Samantha Leffel: Two staff members were very pleasant and helpful over the phone, and the library itself is clean, air conditioned and bathroom was clean as well. The 1 staff member I physically saw was masked and wearing it correctly. (Masks required to enter the library.) There is a plastic barrier to protect staff and visitors at the curbside pickup desk. Which reminds me - it isn't really curbside pickup, as you have to go inside to the desk on the ground floor. 1 staff member said they did do curbside pickup, a 2nd told me they don't. Either way, the parking lot is large and they have an outdoor returns drop-off kiosk in the parking lot (to the left of the entrance). BONUS - in the lobby, to the immediate right of the entrance doors, there's an Amazon locker!Generally speaking, this library is one of my favorites, and I appreciate their having a fair amount of George Carlin DVDs, which makes me a very happy Lady. 😄 Been coming here since 1999 and I'll not be stopping anytime soon! Please Note -*I just posted about a dozen pics from my visit today, please check them out for library hours, curbside pickup phone #, and other information.*
Theresa McMiller: Managed to get computer access and copies made.
Michelle Sweeny: Curbside service was easy enough and I am grateful to be able to check out books during Covid19
Brooke Dixon: It was okay. I had my 2 littles with me. Tho we weren't in there long - grabbed what we needed in under 15 minutes (very good selection for kids & language!)...they (we) caused a small scene (as we do). I handled it....but then, I was having difficulty checking out & the clerk(?) was annoyed. I think it was at something or someone before us (I hope! lol), but with us too. That was unpleasant; but I do understand feeling annoyed (lol) so....just my thought. It was okay.

Indianapolis Public Library - Spades Park Branch: what do users think?
Aj Steele: The African American manager with gray hair was very disrespectful.
B Wilson: This is a nice quiet little Library. Their computer screens are very large!
Genevieve Barnes: This is our home away from home. This library is the reason my kids love to read so much. The Spades Park librarians tirelessly answer their questions, make recommendations and search for obscure books. We love the selection and the children’s programs. We participate in the summer reading challenge, this is truly their favorite place to visit.
jane welker: Received very gracious assistance
Kenneth Sulkey: The staff at the Spades library was very cooperative and pleasant.
neenee Winston: Sorry I wasn't at the library I was at spade park across the street from there and it was nices and quiet
Michelle Sweeny: When I walk into this library I expect to see Marian the Librarian at the desk! It feels like a trip to River City Iowa, to the set of the Music Man. I love the architecture of the brick archways over the doors and the steps and tile and woodwork is just so rich and old-fashioned. The librarians are so friendly and helpful and we keep coming back here to sit and read books in the children's section. It's lovely. Next time I'll remember to take some pictures...
Helena Wilson: Very helpful staff
Ronald Davis: Had to stop by after hearing it was open. Oh and an Aflac update. This library still reminds me of the first time I went. There was this one lady I don't remember her name, but she works with the emails and faxing messages to the people who have nothing better to do than to request documents in ways that's not readily available, she helped immensely.
B: Great, quiet an lady staff help is A+
Antoinette Mcnary: I love going to this location. Just found out today they have after school lunch for the kids which is good. My 4 year old daughter loves playing on the learning computer.
Jason w.: Dunno how safe, nice it is, but couple days ago in plain day light a thin, young, black guy was pissin in front of the stairs going up to front door. He was wearing dread locks to. I hope you guys check your security camera.
Raymond Pearson: Nice place, smaller library but very nicely stocked with books and computers. Friendly staff, plenty of parking.
Mileydi Escobar: Love it here , staff is great , helpful and friendly, Miss Ann is an excellent person
Tanisa Bixler: It's a nice place to go. Many inner city kids go there to have a safe place. Which is why it's not quite. The staff is nice.
Angie Abbott: I just love this little library but it is definitely not quiet.
Katelyne Sanchez: I've been to this location quite a few times. Not a place you would want to go for peace and quiet. Therefore, about a month ago, I thought it would be good idea for my 6year old autistic son to go to. They have the kids computers and it can keep him occupied while I was doing online forms on my laptop. He was a bit loud and I tried to calm him down but when another recipient was in the library told my son to shut up and the library attendant started laughing it made me very upset. As I was already embarrassed as I was, I didn't need another person saying anything nor did I need an employee make fun off my child's disability. Very disappointing experience. I will never be back to this location, Neither will my son. I hope that they will treat children with disabilities the same as any other child.
*A* *Name*: Nice staff and good reading material
Lexi Ried: This is the nicest little library. Too bad this area is blighted these days :(

Indianapolis Public Library - Central Library: what do users think?
Emelda Ginika: This is a 5-star library for me. The inside feels like one is at the airport. They are very welcoming. It is fairly quiet, even the non-quiet zone floors.
Urban Hiker: There's just so much awesomeness going on through the library system. Go check it out. You will be pleasantly surprised at how it is so much more than just a place for books. The downtown branch has a special collections room on the top floor that is temperature controlled, only Librarians with white gloves can handle the materials. Random, cool, booklovers dream room. ✨️
Jesse: Smells of homless people
Marci Hawkins: It was amazing. I could live there.
Kathiresan s: We spent time with our kids in activity zone. Well maintained. First 30 minutes parking free
Sally Dillinger: Awesome place to go
Carol Frankewich: Beautiful building, well organized, stunning views. Parking on street can be difficult.
madisyn oxley: the book inventory is very limited compared to libraries in different cities I have lived in. Almost every book on my read list has at least a week and a half wait before its ready. It is inefficient. I think they need to spend less money on making it look super nice and fancy and instead spend the money on the book inventory!! Overall that is what a library is about.
Happy Go Lucky Photobooth LLC: Absolutely beautiful and librarians are so helpful!
CK Hardy: Overall I like really like this library. Of course there's a wide selection of books and other materials to use and check out. It seems like they have a variety of activities and events, which doesn't necessarily appeal to me but it's for sure a plus.In general the staff is friendly enough, but they really shine when it comes to being helpful. Everyone I've spoken to has been more than willing to assist, and if they were not able to help me they would get me to someone who could.
Taylor Versino: Big library with lots of space. Kids area has books, activities, computer, and a stage.
Ginger Hepp: Rude and disrespectful
Frank Broughton: Diversity?
Donald Shure: Go Kirk! We love you
Joni Heredia: This library is really beautiful. The lobby has gorgeous tall ceilings and is usually hosting an art exhibit . There are 6 floors I think of books, periodicals, computers, study rooms, etc. And the staff is super friendly.
Lauren Blake: Beautiful building with something for everyone. They have a game night every Tuesday and many other free programs. I'm so thankful for this place!
Mark Petrison: There's a lot of floor area, with reasonable shelf and book density. But in today's digital info age, it's somewhat sad in how few materially solid books you'll find here on anything very specific. That said, the interior is visually pleasant. And it also seems capable of providing some daytime warmth and shelter, for anyone looking for that, and in control of themselves.
Teresa Jones: My mother went there needing help, to copy documents yesterday. She had me on the phone with them and they are truly amazing. I was concerned because she doesn't comprehend how to operate things of the modern age (photocopiers) but the lady said "We will take care of her" and indeed they did. I knew she was in the right place. These are genuine good people, never change❤️
larry rush: Free books, movies, etc., that you can use for free. Hard to beat.
D.W. Everett: The downtown library is one of the nicest I've seen.
Nigel Barretto, Realtor: Me and my wife have been visiting this enchanting library for quite a few years now. Great place to unwind
