erin brandenstein: Very disappointed with this place. The last 3 appointments I have had they have cancelled at the last minute. If you don’t cancel within 24 hours they charge you a fee but they cancel and then can’t reschedule you for a whole month and then don’t reply to the text messages they initiate. I had signed up for the monthly plan but will be canceling. Very disappointed in this place.

Kevin Kolbus: Incompetent at best, criminals at worst.I cancelled my membership in November. In February I was still being charged. I went into the salon, they were very apologetic, and told me my membership has now been cancelled and after confirming with the manager I’d be refunded the money. I chalked it up to an honest mistake, it happens. I just called to inquire about the refund and ensure my membership was indeed cancelled. It has still not been cancelled, meaning I am/was on the verge of being charged a 4th UNAUTHORIZED/FRAUDULENT transaction. They ensured my account is really truly cancelled this time, but unable to give me any update or contact info for a manager concerning a refund. This place is a scam, would rate them 0 stars if possible.
Robin Teacher: I love my experiences at Elements massage. I picked them for their prices compared to Massage Envy, but their service is great, too. Michele is the one I got to and he is very sweet, polite, and professional. He was my first male massage therapist, so I was a bit nervous but he made me feel very comfortable. Now, I always try to schedule with him and work around his availability. This is my go-to place for self-care splurging.
Phil Hale: I’ve just had one of the best massages, I’ve ever had today. Daniella was superb! I told her where my tight muscles were and she addressed each and every spot with precision. I almost fell asleep, right after she did my neck, shoulders & upper back. OMG, and when she finished my lower legs and feet I felt as if I was melting into the table. Can’t wait to see her again.
Megan Connor: Don't go here if you want a reliable, consistent company that actually follows its schedule. Major issue with canceling appointments last minute. Go elsewhere. Never have had this problem. 3 times canceled in last several months. They also don't truly go the full time. I pay for 90 minutes, and the massage typically doesn't start for 5+ minutes after the schedule time, and is cut off early as well.

SHARON WARDRIP: I hadn’t been to Elements for a while and now I remember why. The massage was just ok, but not as helpful as most I’ve experienced. My major concern was that I paid for 90 minutes and the therapist was with me barely 65 minutes. I was even there early and she was late collecting me then quite early finishing. One of the other therapists came through the lobby reeking of cigarettes and the smell seemed to be circulating through the ventilation system in the massage room too. I don’t buy their membership push, so my rates definitely merited more than I received.

I worked with Danielle and was so impressed! She stayed connected and adjusted her pressure if needed. I've searched for "my place" for a while and believe I've found it!
Brandy: I enjoyed my massage from Crystal! She asked a lot of questions and paid attention to areas that I asked her to focus on which was my back. My hair is in braids and I informed Crystal that I didn't want my head to be massaged because of the oils. She informed me that she can start on my face and hair first with no oils. I also forgot to take my necklace off and Crystal said no problem, I'll work around it. Crystal was great! The music and lighting was perfect. So glad I decided to get a 90 minute massage. It was much needed. The receptionist was nice as well. I had problems with my gift card and she was able to troubleshoot and resolve the issue- all with a smile.

Allison Werling: My partner and I had back-to-back massages with Crystal T. and we both had a fantastic experience. Crystal has such a sweet and calming presence and spent time to understand what we needed and ensured we were comfortable. We had level 2-3 massages that were both relaxing and therapeutic. I prefer quiet during my massages and my partner likes to chat, and Crystal flowed with both.This is the second Elements location I’ve been to. In my experience, Elements does a great job at maintaining clean salons and creates an atmosphere that’s soothing.We aren’t in town for long but will definitely try to book with Crystal again before we return home. Elizabeth Flanary: Do not get into a contract with this place. They will change your monthly payment and lie they sent you a letter to inform you. Management is a sham. Very unprofessional. The massage therapists here are good but the business leaves a lot to be desired. Maybe it is this franchise and not others. The owner never responded. Buyer beware!!!!!

The front desk staff was very accommodating and understanding.I arrived for my massage and was greeted politely by the front desk staff, waited a few minutes and then was brought back to the massage room.I was told for the 50 minute massage, clients are given 5 minutes at the beginning to get undressed & 5 minutes at the end to .get dressed. There was a digital clock in the room & the massage therapist came in more than 8 minutes after I got undressed & the massage ended around 5 minutes early. I was in and out of the establishment within 50 minutes (which was how long the massage was supposed to last). I was pretty disappointed, considering I missed out on about 8 minutes of a massage.Considering going back, but will definitely go to Massage Envy before coming back to the keystone location
Monica Montgomery: Had a decent facial last month. Set another appointment for this month. I do not have a membership with H&S yet my card was charged for an appointment I canceled. I also spoke with Morgan this morning, terrible disposition, condescending tone, not representative of my idea of wellness and relaxation. Morgan stated she will have a manager call me tomorrow to discuss the cancellation fee. I never received documentation regarding the cancellation policy when second appointment was made nor did I sign anything giving permission to store my credit card past the first appointment.
Kenda M: Shivonne was wonderful. She seems super knowledgeable and made me feel at ease throughout my facial. You can tell she enjoys her job. I highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a decent, customized facial. The reception staff were nice enough to get the job done.

Michelle Taylor: My massage therapist Courtney was fabulous. She was friendly and customer focused. She gave attention to my areas of concern and I was fully relaxed when I left. My reason for giving a 3 star rating is because of how I was treated when I called to schedule my appointment. I explained that I received a gift card and had never been there before. The receptionist asked me for a credit card in case I cancel or miss my appointment. I told her I could give the numbers on my gift card. She said no and insisted I give a credit card number or I couldn’t move forward with scheduling my appointment. I ended up giving her my credit card information and let her know I felt like she displayed poor customer service.

Rosemary Thomas: This was my first time receiving a facial, and I am pretty pleased with my results and experience. Melanie was my esthetician and she was very respectful and thoughtful.
Nikki Javit: I signed up for a one hour massage and added on a peppermint scalp massage. I arrived 15 minutes early to my appointment. I also filled out all intake/consent forms online prior to my arrival. I understand the policy is that a one hour massage “includes a consultation”. I was asked the same 3 questions that were asked of me on my online intake form. No additional information was taken during my “consult”. This consult lasted an entire 30 seconds. I was not taken back to my appointment until 105pm and asked if I would like to concentrate on certain areas due to the appointment being a “late start”. I thought this was an odd comment as I arrived 15 minutes early and I was not late. My therapist told me he gave me an additional 5 minutes because he had to leave the room to get the peppermint oil which took additional time away from my massage. My one hour massage with an additional $15 add on scalp massage was done before 2pm. I do not understand how this is possible based on time alone, the fact the massage started late due to the staff and I added on an additional massage option which in my opinion should not take away time from the one hour massage. This should be clearly noted to customers when purchasing as I would not have upgraded to take away time from my massage.
sravana priya: I had an appointment for prenatal massage. Unfortunately, they informed that they didn't have certified person to massage on that day on a pregnant women. Then they acted sweet stating they will give 20$ off as they canceled. However I tried to reach them for an appointment they told they had only male certified person available and I had got once with a female. Bad experience. No call backs. I HOPE NO ONE HAVES THIS EXPERINCE.

Aaron Black: Not just the worst massage I've ever had, but one of the worst experiences I've had period. It's the next morning, and I'm in tons of pain and really unhappy. There was nothing about any of this that I enjoyed.
Elizabeth Eff: The front desk staff is disorganized and doesn't communicate with each other to the point that I received no fewer than 6 calls from different people about the same issue (appt was marked "female therapist preferred" and a female therapist wasn't available). I repeated told them that a male therapist was fine, but they continued calling me about this - on one occasion, I even got a call about the issue 5 minutes after speaking with them.Finally get into the massage and I was very clear about a part of my back that should not be touched - I literally circled it in sharpie so there would be no confusion - and the massage therapist said he would just use light pressure there, so I again had to reiterate that that part of my back shouldn't be touched AT ALL. I then proceeded to get a subpar massage where the massage therapist decided it was best to skip over huge swaths of my body, not just the small area I'd outlined. This was also a couples massage and my massage partner had a similar experience, reporting that his therapist didn't touch his neck at all.Even at the half-off rate for a first massage, this was an overpriced nightmare. Dealing with the repeated calls got me pretty stressed out when the whole point was to de-stress and get a massage for my birthday.
Michelle Scott: All staff are friendly and professional. I’ve had sessions with multiple therapists here. My best advice is to try different people until you find someone you love. They have a subscription plan which seems reasonably priced.

Denise Taylor: I had a massage with a young lady name Courtney and she was the worst I ever had. She states she been a Massage Therapist for 8 years. Her performance shows she needs a refresher course. She hurt me several times. I had to let her know that she needed to ease up on the pressure. she did massage my whole entire body. she only touch my legs, touch my feet, and that was it. I had a focus points, which was my back, but she didn't even do that. Her techniques were damaging more than helpful. I had to come home and take some Tylenol because deep down in my tissues, I was sore. I could say a lot more, but I am going to leave it at this. Just know I would not be recommending her ever again. This is the second time I came to the 86 street location and they hurt me physically so at this point I will NOT be going back. I normally go in fishers where I'm well taken care of and they know how to address my needs.

Mallory Wallace: Went today. The front staff could not be any more friendly. We were cutting and laughing before and after the massage. Jose was my massage therapist. He was very nice and did an amazing job! We had some laughs during the massage too. I didn't realize I had lost any mobility until after the appointment. When it came back. The massage was a last minute decision to today. Best decision in a long time. BIG thank you to the front staff and especially Jose! So much more comfortable now.

Jacob Turpin: I don’t usually leave reviews but when someone is as good at her craft as Kait it deserves to be highlighted. I have gotten many massages and Kait’s massages is by far the best. She is able to find your tense areas, knots, lactic acid build up and relieve them. She can apply strong pressure throughout the massage. She was even able to tell what muscle group I worked out last because of the lactic acid build up. Simply incredible!
Brianna Wilson: I recently was back in town to use the credits that I had available which at the time were 3 credits. When I initially first started it was yr membership & I was paying through my HSA. After the year was over I did not know it was charging my card another 6x or so I can't remember. Which I was aggravated about because I was relocating to Orlando, FL where Massage Heights is not at. So I called multiple times to first have them refund my money back, that didn't work. So we later came to a conclusion that I'll just finish using them when I visit back in town. But what I did not realize is that they expire, so earlier this year one of the managers (a lady) extended it out. Did not make it in town enough to use them, now fast forward to now I have 2 remaining credits that will expire sometime in December & the manager Nick states he is not able to extend them out. My only concern is why would something expire that I paid for regardless. I don't see why it's just not something you guys can extend, when yall already couldn't refund the money back for massages I did not know I was still paying for. I'm not asking for free massages!!! SMH lol just horrible. Great employees though but not sure if it was different directors or managers but it shouldn't be that big of an issue to extend out WHAT I PURCHASED!!

Kara Gladish: I got a membership December 2019. Basically you pay a reduced rate for an hour massage or facial every month. When the pandemic hit, they let me defer some monthly payments, but I stuck with it! Every massage therapist or esthetician has been great! They lean toward physical therapy or deep tissue/sports massage, so getting a Swedish massage is fine but not a great use of their skills. I had a scheduling issue with them once, but they very graciously made up for it. And I've run late a time or two and they've been gracious with me. Definitely recommend this place! It's also nice that if you're a member, you can use your points at any location in the country.*Update - I do wish facials would come back! They have been discontinued for awhile now.

Kasey Barnes: I have received massages every two to three weeks from Anthony for over a year and half now, and I cannot recommend him enough! I began getting massages to help resolve an issue of constant trigger point pain in my shoulder that would not go away. Anthony not only provided fantastic massages to help resolve my pain, but he also provided me with stretches and posture mechanics to help address the cause of my problem.He is professional, communicative, and great at what he does! My pain is gone, but now I recognize the value of getting regular massages thanks to Anthony, and I continue to see him regularly.

Rachel Pendleton: The best massages I have ever had in Indianapolis have been from Anthony. As a large chested woman, I had always experienced stress in my neck and shoulders during massages, but he knew to use towels to life my shoulders and provide comfort. Other people I have gone to don't seem to understand this even after I explain it to them. Now that I have started to go to him regularly, the massages even get better and better. They feel personalized. I feel totally comfortable talking to him about my needs and he is also very intuitive. The space is convenient, I can always find parking just out front. The room is clean and serene. I can't say enough good things about Anthony as a masseur.
Joe Vassallo: Anthony delivers the best possible massage experience in Indy. His studio is professional, clean, and comfortable. I get regular massage, and I can attest that his skill/technique is among the best of the best. While he is obviously very strong and capable of firm pressure, his knowledge of the body and skeletal structure allows him to work strategically, releasing tight knots effectively and with minimal discomfort. I'd give him 6 stars if I could.

Ariana Casale: My first appointment was wonderful. Chelsea went beyond and above. Then my second appointment I tried to call and postpone it since my fiances little brother was admitted to Riley children's hospital and wasn't doing well. He was paralyzed. And this is because he has been diagnosed with a fatal illness, metachromatic leukodystrophy. I was going to be charged the full amount which is not fair this how I got treated. I never received an apology. I went ahead and kept my appointment even though I wasn't in the mind frame and when I could have spent that time in the hospital. Not sure if I will be back.

William Canady: My daughter was scheduled to get a pregnancy massage today. She’s due in a couple of weeks. Well, as these things go, she went into labor about an hour ago. It was important to her to do the right thing and let them know she couldn’t make it today. She called them from her delivery room and ask to reschedule. They are charge her $40 (50% of the massage) to reschedule!! How uncaring can you be. The whole creating life thing just isn’t a justification to change an appointment. Wow. Just, wow.

She scheduled her massage for today at 4 pm, but this morning her water broke and she is currently in labor (2 weeks earlier than her due date). She called the massage company (while in labor) to explain her situation and they are fining her $40 for cancelling, even though she called soon after they opened for the day and gave them multiple hours warning. It is disappointing to me that they treat their customers like this.

But we also connected almost instantly it really was like I met an old friend I’d known forever. Once we got to talking throughout the service we did not stop. The facility is always extremely clean and organized! The spa music they play is wonderful. Maeve Peterson-Miller: I booked a 60 minute session with Anthony Butterfield and am beyond satisfied with my experience.The ambiance is calm and clean, the table is comfortable, and the soundscape soothing. Anthony was professional and knowledgeable yet personable.I sought out care specifically for wrist pain due to repetitive work stress and was very satisfied by his attention to that issue. He identified the underlying muscle tension areas and used a unique combination of techniques and tools. In addition, he provided suggestions for stretch and strengthening movements to incorporate into my personal routine. Anthony also guided deep breathing throughout the massage and affirmed the power of the mind-body connection.As someone who is working to overcome anxiety and depression as well as reduce physical stress/pain - the holistic care and wisdom I received today truly felt like a Godsend. A couple (paraphrased) quotables: "Don't look for problems, look for solutions" and "It's easy to overwork yourself, but try setting aside one whole day out of your month to practice self care.... If you think wellness is expensive, try illness!"I can't wait for my next session when I will try out the sensory deprivation float room.

He does a great job and always hones in on the exact spots that need attention. It often hurts like hell, but that's why I go - I need it! To be clear, I like a strong massage so that's what I request and that's what I get because of the benefits. The space is clean, quiet, and comfortable. Their hours make it easy to always find a time that fits my schedule. Trying to get a person on the phone can be a challenge so I'm knocking off half a star for that, but you can schedule appointments using the MindBody app, which is very convenient. They are also responsive to email.

I booked my next appointment that day before leaving, on the day I was supposed to come back I had called to verify as I never received a reminder of the appointment, they told me I was not in the books for that day and so I had to reschedule my appointment. Finally I received a reminder about my next appointment went in and was not loving the massage therapist I was assigned to, breath was horrible and spent my full hour on my neck and shoulders. I then went to the front and asked to cancel my membership and was told I had one more billing cycle before they could cancel me. So frustrated about having to pay another month for horrible service but I booked my last appointment for December 23 at 4pm. Still never received a reminder so I called today and once again I wasn’t on the books! I told her this is twice I scheduled in person and they didn’t have me down! She apologized said she was the manager and would be happy to comp my next appointment I told her I was supposed to be canceled after this appointment and to comp my last payment and we will skip the massage. She then said she couldn’t do that but could comp my massage and use my credit for another service or enhancement. How does that make any sense??? Just gotta get that last $69 from me I guess!! Don’t waste your time…find a independent therapist!!
Brandy B: I had never had a massage before and I was a little nervous. My friend had given me a gift card for the introductory. It took me almost a year to book it. Finally, I did it. It was the most amazing experience. My masseuse was male, I hadn't chosen specifically, Scott. He talked me through the whole process, talked about anatomy, the kind of massage he was going to perform, answered all of my questions, and gave me a great rundown of how everything was to go. It was one of the most relaxing and amazing experiences of my life. When I left, I was euphoric. I went shopping and kind of staggered around a little after, just loopy from the experience. It was intense, and a couple of things hurt, but 1000% worth every penny and moment. I will be returning soon!!!

I booked the Salt Himalayan salt massage and added stones for whatever reason they decided to change my massage and give whatever one they felt like doing at the time . I was so disappointed. They ended giving a general full body massage but the Masseuse didn’t even massage my feet. I told her my problem areas she wasn’t attentive to them. All I’m all it was a disaster. We normally go to the wood house and I definitely regret not going . Especially for my birthday.

When, I drop my girlfriend off and waited for her massage to finish, she finally came out and expressed to me that the service for the massage given was terrible and make her very upset. I went into the store to request a refund along with my mom in order for the situation to be rectify. We went to see Jessica the head manager and yet she was not present and available. Alaysha the assistant manager who was present and available, helped us the situation correctly with excellent customer service, patience, and attentiveness.

But Daniel did explain that he couldn't get it all done in one visit due to how solid my muscle was. Overall experience was fantastic. Will definitely return.

I honestly thought about canceling my membership because I figured it was nice but maybe not necessarily a necessity. But after the facial from Tori I’m staying for sure. She massaged every part of my leg required and stretched my muscles.Today I seen a different person at another location. I won’t name. But after seeing Brianna a couple days ago I can’t even say they are on the same level. Brianna seems like she has been doing this for years and the other associate is based on my massage fresh off the block doesn’t know what she’s doing.Unfortunately I don’t live in this area otherwise Brianna would be my go to every massage I have done!!

K Dodd: Trigger warning – SurvivorFrom the first phone call to discuss appointment & therapist options, thru an appointment reschedule, through the massage itself, I was shown kindness, care, & respect. I FELT SAFE – I can’t begin to explain what that means, but I’m going to try.During the appointment set up phone call, I explained the need for deep-tissue therapeutic massage for pain, & that per their website descriptions Chris (a male therapist) seemed my best fit – But, I also shared that “being touched by dude might be triggering”. Without asking me what that meant specifically, the receptionist showed she understood without judgement. She gave me info on the other therapists & answered my questions about Chris. I decided to go with Chris anyway after talking with her.Chris was truly amazing. He spent a solid 10 minutes talking to me before my appointment & letting me settle in to my surroundings. During our pre-talk, he gave my physical space & made me comfortable while talking about my physical needs. Chris also, clearly & without tiptoeing or hesitation, asked me about the “emotional issues” I’d mentioned on the phone with the receptionist. I’m a survivor of assault & domestic abuse – I live alone & am not touched frequently. Chris explained that I was “in the driver’s seat” & that anything I needed during this time was ok, & just needed to be voiced – It’s ok to ask him to stop, ok to ask him to leave the room for a few minutes, ok to be emotional. He made me FEEL SAFE.And let me say…He mentions an “intuitive” approach on his therapist bio – This is not fanciful/hippie-dippy word choice. With only the pre-talk & minimal remarks about what pinched where when he was moving my arm, he found, with care & patience, the core lines of where the pain was radiating, and helped me clear some emotional pain I was holding in my body for a long time, at the same time. This was a Healing Experience.Thank you. I can’t treat myself to this often, but when I can, I know where I’m going. Thank you so much.

Again, everyone was super nice and accommodating, the only reason I’m leaving less than a 5-star is that I wanted a deep tissue/wanted specific points targeted during the massage and I felt it was more of an overall therapeutic/relaxing massage for the slightly high price point.

Michelle Roberts: Lift is absolutely the best! I’ve had massages elsewhere, but none have compared to Lift. My massages with Tasha are the best I have ever experienced, period. The atmosphere is amazing and everyone there is so kind & easy to be around. An all around great vibe. I always feel so much better physically & mentally when I leave. I highly recommend Lift. Everyone there is great!

Portia: I was gifted a 1 hour customized massage for my birthday. This included the towels, organic oils, hot stones and all! This is actually the $65 deal going on for the package originally priced at over $100! Upon arriving, I was given a form to fill out and was told that I had to pay extra for towels and hot stones. The massage itself was amazing but not worth being lied to!!After reviewing the receipt, I discovered that everything I paid extra for was already included in my gift! Not okay!!

XStaples: This place was horrible. My girlfriend booked us a couples massage and the lady that did my massage coughed the entire time. It was so bad that I had to cut the massage short and leave. The lady at the front desk claimed she wasn’t sick and it was only allergies but that doesn’t make it any better. That was highly disrespectful and if you have an extreme cough you shouldn’t be massaging any customers no matter what the case may be. We got a refund and will never be back. Please choose a different spa to go to

Joysuline Horton: I won't be back at this establishment. My last massage "firm" left me with bruises. Very little oil was used and my skin felt it was on fire. I had a scalp massage (done by an asian male) that was a joke; he had no idea what he was doing. He rubbed my ears to hard that it was painful. I paid for a package deal massage and facial but this was the worse massage. The facial was fine. When I went to pay they wanted me to leave a tip ($10 per person) for the three people individually who performed my services. They also tried to overcharge me for the package I bought. That place is a rip off. You are warned.

Carla Headen: My husband purchased a couples message for our anniversary. Our appointment was for 4:15 pm, but he received a call that they running behind, and moved it to 4:30. When we got there, we were greeted and asked to have a seat. We waited while a couple was checking out. The couple was asked to pay more than they were told in the beginning. The employee proceeded to say there was an upcharge because of the pressure of the message. The couple said they were never told there was going to be an upcharge. We finally go back to our room, and waited 20 minutes before our message started. The therapists finally came in and proceeded to message us without asking where our discomfort was. My husbands therapist kept leaving the room. We heard arguing and cussing in the hallway, which we thought was very odd. Once our session was over we go to check out, and was asked about a tip. My husband yes, $10. The employee said "$10 each," and my husband said no. The employee said, "usually you pay $10 for each. We stay late for you, we should be gone, it's a new Luna year, and we're already short, need to catch up." My husband paid the $20 and we left. We have been there 3 times including today. We will never go back. After we left my back started feeling weird, like there was an allergic reaction. We get home and look at my back, I have welts and it's extremely sore. I have never left a message feeling discomfort. I will never go back, and I would advise anyone to go there. You are pressured to leave a tip, and upcharge. Unprofessional, and you do not feel relaxed or safe.

Addy: I purchased a Swedish Couples Massage on Group On. I saw reviews saying they charge extra for firm pressure, so I was prepared to pay the extra $30. They told us this at the front and she not rude about it at all. The extra fee included the hot stones. My partner and I enjoyed our experience. I personally like when they dig into my sore muscles because I am pretty active. I think the Spa just needs to update their Group On description that firm pressure is extra. The massage therapists were nice and I've always tipped 20% for spa and health services. I paid $150 total after tip, but that is what I pay for a individual 60 massage anywhere else.

Lena Nguyen: The staff is very friendly and very accomodating. I had to reschedule my appointment a couple of times and they were more than happy to help. I got a groupon for a sweddish massage but when I went to use it, they said it was for only light pressure. This was perfect for me but for those who need medium to deep tissue massages, they charge an extra $15 and include hot stones with it. Some areas she didn’t use lotions or oil so it was skin rubbing on skin which was uncomfortable. Overall good experience.
Bro Mar: Had a couple’s massage by two women. It just ok, not firm as requested. Had a couple’s massage by two men last year and it was great. Then we were asked for a higher tip, rude.

We were surprised with mimosas in our room, which was really nice! We had a long wait, but the service was great and super relaxing. Ashley and Andy did a great job and checked in on us throughout the experience to make sure the pressure was good. Would recommend to anyone looking for a more affordable couples massage experience!
cassandra anderson: This was the worse “massage” I have ever received. I get deep tissue massages monthly and have a massage therapist that I see. A friend purchased a 60 minute Swedish massage for me as a gift from here on Groupon. Big mistake. I was told when I arrived if I wanted deep tissue it would be $15 extra. I was willing to pay the extra for deep tissue. I started off with a man doing the massage. The first 15-20 minutes was spent with him squeezing me through the blanket. After that was over he pulled the sheet back and poured oil all over my back. He poured a lot oil. In my mind I was thinking now how is he going to do a deep tissue massage with all of this oil on me. Turns out his idea of deep tissue was running his elbow up and down my back. After about 10 minutes of that I stopped him and told him that was not deep tissue. He brought the manager in and I explained to her I asked for deep tissue and the whole experience wasn’t a massage. She apologized and asked if I would be willing to try someone else and I agreed. The lady who took his place wasn’t any better. I honestly don’t think the folks working in there are licensed/trained massage therapist. My five year old nephew could’ve done a bette job. The guy spoke very little English. Don’t waste your money on this place. It’s definitely not a real spa.
MaRissa Smith: I had a girls weekend with a bestie and we did the couples swedish. My massage was very relaxing and wonderful. They used several hot stones instead of just one that got cold then lined them up alone my spine, I have seen pics but never got to experience it. I did knock a star because my friends was not as good of an experience. The person she had instead of pressure and going outward on the muscles was "digging" into her muscles and was very quick with a lot of the strokes. I could hear some of the movements and was very similar to putting on lotion quickly. She did ask for medium pressure and felt like she was getting firm. Was very sore the next day and had to cut our day short to head home because of being uncomfortable. She had a lot of pressure added to her tailbone too and felt like it was bruised. She felt like the person may have been an on the job trained therapist vs someone with training of the muscles. This was the first time I wasn't told somewhere to drink lots of water too, not a big deal but just have had a lot of massages and noted.
