dawn charbonneau: A wonderful traditional mom-and-pop-owned Mexican restaurant in Indianapolis. Great food — especially enjoy the shrimp tacos, huevos a la Mexicana, and sopa de pollo. Desserts are excellent and house made. (Be sure to try the flan and tres leches cake!) The decor is bright and colorful and the service is consistently efficient and friendly. We always receive a warm greeting when we arrive. Love this place!
Skateboard P: This was my favorite Mexican restaurant mainly. Because of my girlfriend. My last two experiences have let me way down. Last night the random dog in the restaurant wandering with a “best friend” harness on. Not sure who let him walk in alone but this was too much! The dog wandered up to each table like no service dog would ever do. The staff ignored it until it literally almost chased a waitress into the kitchen. We left without ordering this time and the time before that we had uncharacteristically poor service sad to feel the need to find a new favorite go to. We loved this place because of the many good vegetarian options.

You can tell it is made with a love for authentic cuisine. Fresh, flavorful, generous portions. I always have leftovers that taste wonderful. Taylor: So I never leave reviews, but this place was so good that I had to and I can’t gatekeep this place from y’all. I ordered the special tonight which was the birria tacos. It was delicious and filling. The tacos were packed full, perfectly salted, a great balance of crispy from the fried taco and chewy from the layer of cheese/consommé in between. Lots of fresh cilantro and the consommé dip was the cherry on top of an already great taco. The rice was flavorful, fresh, cooked perfectly - not mushy at all like it can be at other restaurants. I also ordered a side of queso (standard white queso) a side of guacamole, 4 churros with chocolate dipping sauce and a raspberry margarita and it was all only $37 which I think is a STEAL. We had amazing service too. There was a miscommunication about my friends order and they brought out a whole new plate of fixed food so fast for her with their apologies. They were so kind and this will definitely be the new spot for my friends and I.Vegetarian options: Lots of combinations of vegetarian optionsKid-friendliness: They were very accommodating with my friend’s 1.5 year old. Amy Moore: As a former kitchen manager in a public school there was one thing that concerned me regarding best practices. The hostess was cleaning a spill on the floor and did not wash her hands immediately after. She proceeded to touch menus and fill people's glasses. Not something I would have done with my food service experience. Service was slow but it was busy. Alot of noise. Food was good but I won't be going back.

Rob Comer: This place redefines "good" Mexican food in this city. Likely the best salsa you'll find served anywhere. So good you'll realize its watered down to save money everywhere else. I have tried around 12 dishes, each one exceptional to include hard to find pipian and moles. Tacos arabes, pipian verde, And churros con chocolate are out of this world. But honestly everything is good. If they have the birria tacos on special GET THEM.

Amanda Derr: We had reservations for a birthday last night. The service was extremely poor (slow, inattentive), considering we were a good group of folks for a birthday, paid for by our business. The restaurant was never more than half full yet our service was not good. We waited 30 minutes for drinks after being seated so it really set the tone for our whole experience.The food was overpriced, my husbands carne asada tacos were extremely small (3 tiny tacos for $25 - no sides). The guacamole was 5 slices of cucumber and weirdly chopped radishes atop avocado with several entire sprigs of cilantro on top. No effort in presentation.Underwhelming - expensive for what you’re getting. We had a reservation for 10 and it was not okay - that just added chairs to the end of a booth instead of seating us at rectangular tables together. And we could only seat 9 so we told the 10th person to just meet us after.The building was nice, decent aesthetic. Food was okay but experience very poor.

Ali Parvez: The menu is not too big which is typical of a Mexican place. The food is extremely delicious and the service is relatively quick. I tried the chips with three kinds of salsa and I have to say that it gave my palette a desirable workout. The tacos were simply amazing and the overall ambience of the place is a cherry on the top. My friend ordered a three milk cake that was presented in a very elegant bowl. Honestly it was more of a treat for my eyes than some of the posters I saw on the conference I attended that day.

Above average service by Armando our server and time from ordering until the food arrived was impressive (even on a Friday night) but not a great Mexican food compared to the rest of Indy. The chicken was above average, the steak below. Salas were decent , the hot one had the most flavor. Chips are home made but not warmed, the tortillas seemed like what you buy at the store. Definitely seems like a place for folks visiting the area or in a large group. They have locations in 2 or 3 other states (owned by a restaurant group with two or so other offerings)
Ryan Dotson: Not your average Mexican restaurant. Food was amazing! Think upscale/gourmet Mexican. Everything we got was so flavorful. Menu has your typical options, but also unexpected items you don’t usually see. We got the crispy Brussels sprouts for appetizer that were so delicious. Also recommend the tacos in pork al pastor. Good portions for the price. Even the chips and salsa is a notch above the rest. The restaurant itself has a fun and trendy atmosphere. If you’re in Indianapolis looking for something to eat, try Nada…you won’t be disappointed!

Muhammad Khalifa: Initially weren't sure what the non-meat options were for us here but very happy to report the vegetarian (and vegan) options were plentiful and delicious. Indy could use more of this quality and tier of Mexican cuisine! The jerk-spiced hibiscus flower taco was a new and welcome experience for me, though we enjoyed all of our tacos and I was glad to be able to try a veggie alternative for birria. The name isn't easy to pronounce (Tlah-oh-lee), but the food isn't hard to love.We came out on a Friday night with friends to celebrate my wife's birthday. If you've read my reviews before, you know that food allergies and Celiac disease are part of our challenges when going out to eat. But eating here was effortless. Everything was clearly marked.The establishment's owner, Carlos Hutchinson, was kind and friendly as he helped my wife find safe options. The food came out in a very reasonable time. They prepare their food to order, and you can taste the quality of the ingredients and the preparation.We all ate, and the food quickly disappeared. It was a delicious meal, and I wouldn't hesitate to go back. There are still items on that menu that I want to try. I don't think I'll need to push very hard to get everyone in our group to eat there again.I had the chicken chipotle taco and the Carnitas taco. The chicken was really good but as good as it was, the pork carnitas was the best! If you check out Tlaolli, you will be treated to fresh and well-prepared food, and I hope you love it as much as I do.

The Torta (with Chicken Chipotle added) beat out any meal I’ve had in a year and the Chicken and Rice soup was the perfect cure for a drizzly day. Not to mention the friendly and knowledgeable staff who steered us right to wonderful options.

We came on taco Tuesday’s, got a couple tacos, they messed up some that were only supposed to be meat & cheese only and added lettuce on it. No problem it happens, but they took it back to fix it and just scrapped out the lettuce and brought back the same tacos with some lettuce still in them... and they were cold by then. Our server was very rude on top of it by the bad attitude, your supposed to make your customers very welcoming and I won’t be back again.

The Hungry Taurus: The service was fast. They were nice. The chicken was moist but not seasoned. The sauces were okay but it wasn’t enough to season the chicken. My wife had to heat up her food and season her chicken and she still didn’t want it. We got tacos and a burrito. The refried beans were tasty and the sprite was definitely strong, but I don’t think we will be returning. I love that they are 24 hours but I wish the flavors made us want to return.

And the speed and efficiency of the drive-thru here are also reliable. Thankfully, even Leonardo’s hours are blissfully reliable: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Even during the pandemic, I’m nearly certain this place never closed. In an uncertain world, Leonardo’s is a reliable mainstay.
