Anthony Oxtoby: This is a follow up to my earlier review covering my initial consultation with Dr Lombardo. Again, check in was easy and prompt. The nursing staff I encountered when being prepped for surgery were absolutely first class. Efficient and reassuring I was really impressed with the facilities and personnel.The actual surgery took 15 minutes at most - it seemed over in a flash. Rested for a while and was out about 4 hours after I first walked in. Post op checkup next day and the final checkup 3 weeks later. If you need cataract surgery then have no hesitation in going to Eye Surgeons of Indiana and Dr Lombardo in particular.

Susie Cornwell: I've been going to IEC for years and was told wasn't ready to have my cataracts removed until last year. I scheduled in March to have removed. Everyone was very nice but didn't see my doctor before. Not sure if you're supposed to or not but I didn't. That night I removed the tape and looked at my eye and the skin around was puffy and looked like I had a black eye. I've spoke to all my family that has went to IEC for years but a different doctor did theirs and no black eyes. I was there about 2 hours and then home. I'm thinking about a different place to get the other eye done. Still not seeing good as I thought I would and going on 3 weeks.
Brian Crisci: Indiana Eye Clinic did an absolutely fantastic job on my chalazion surgery. I was taken back to the operating rooms as soon as I walked in the door. Dr. Barina and her team were all so friendly and professional. They were careful with my eyelid and the whole surgery went by quickly. More than satisfied.
Stephanie Flanigan: I had been dealing with a horrible eye irritation starting last Saturday, and when I say horrible, I mean the WORST pain I have been in, ever. It got worse Sunday so I made an appointment at my usual eye doctor- which I had only been to since 2019 when I found out I needed glasses. I had always felt rushed, and just not a good experience each time. I left feeling unheard, and just a little frustrated. Monday I went to my usual eye doctor and they did the usual, rushing, etc. Mind you I was in HORRIBLE pain. I got no more answers than I already had. Told me to take this steroid and she wanted to see me back on Thursday if it wasn't better. It continued to get worse, so bad that I was in tears each and had to work from home because it was SO bad. Woke up Thursday and my vision was completely blurry. I did not want to go back to my eye dr. So I made a call and explained what was going on and that I was very worried. They were kind, polite, and told me to come in that morning. Got in, they took their time, they explained everything they were doing, and comforted me while I was very worried about my eye. The Dr. started me on an antibiotic + steroid drops and wanted to see me back in the next day. Within 6 hours, my eye was already feeling better. Saw him the next day and he figured out what was going on, and today I feel like a normal human being again. I felt seen, heard, validated, and comforted. I am so thankful I found this place! Thank you to the staff, and Dr. King for being so patient and helpful!
Courtney Harris: This office should close for a week and hold a process improvement workshop. I had an appointment at 8am, but wasn’t taken to the back until 8:25. They open at 8, how were they already behind when they had just opened? I was moved from waiting area to room to waiting area multiple times-eight to be exact. It doesn’t seem to be the best process and it shouldn’t take 1.5 hours to get a simple eye exam. While waiting, I looked at Google reviews and realized I wasn’t being dramatic as this appears to be a common practice at this office. I’ve been to this location multiple times-specifically for a doctor who is now at another location, but I really needed an updated prescription so I decided to come in and see a different doctor. That was a mistake and I will return. Also, they don’t mention that they want your eyes to be dilated at annual appointments so keep that in mind when scheduling an appointment.
Michelle Berlin: Only great things to say about Dr. Keeling, the clinical staff and surgery center staff. Everyone is so kind, patient and professional but personable! The wait time is worth knowing that when my time comes, I will receive the attention and care needed. Thanks to everyone!!!
anthony waterbury: Indiana Eye Clinic did great work on my eye lid to remove a stye. My only complaint is they are NEVER remotely on time. I know their issue with punctuality so I picked the 9:15 appointment so that my work schedule would not be affected to greatly. My appointment was at 9:15 and I did my part to be here before my appointment. I have seen the nurse and it is now 10am and have not seen the doctor. My total time was 1-1/2. The purpose of my visit is a simple follow up to my surgery. This appointment should take no longer than 30 minutes tops.
Jennifer Ferguson: This place made me wait forever, when they did finally see me, they were rude, and did nothing for my problem. They dilating my eyes without even telling me what kind of eye drops they were putting in my eyes, and then let me drive shortly after dilating my eyes (I took a nap in my car in the parking lot, because I have enough sense not to do that. Then to add insult to injury, the charges me a $25 “no call/no show” fee because I didn’t go back to be treated like that again!

M.K. Elharis: I’m disappointed with the Indiana Eye Clinic & decided not to go over there again. The staff treatments were cold not to feel any kind of concern. The Dr … made a mistake in writing my bifocals glass prescription, he wrote down the left in place of right and right in place in left. It was my first time wearing bifocals, & I thought maybe need more time to adapt, then hate the glasses never thought it was a doctor mistake. The second visit I explained the case to the Dr & he double checked & figured out his mistake, never say I’m sorry never showed any kind of apology for inconvenience. I think this place loses there good reputation & not recommended to others.

Brian Collins: Dr. Keeling has taken terrific care of my wife's eyes for more than 20yrs. He recently suggested that I see him for some issues that I was having as well. A few weeks later I received two new lenses (cataract surgery). The difference is indescribable. The Dr. and his staff guided me at every juncture They helped me choose the lenses that were best for me (multifocal) and paid special attention to me during my quick recovery..The Dr. and the staff are skilled, conscientious and very professional. This is a busy practice for a reason. IMHO...It is the only place you should trust for eye surgeries.

I was scheduled with Dr Barina for cataract surgery Nov 1 and second eye Nov 18. .Thats 4 eye drops every day for 1 month because second eye was put off for so long . Finally had my follow up Dec 10 and was told one of my eyes was 20/40 the other one is 20/20 so I will still have to have glasses after paying over $2000 for this procedure. Don’t waste your money at Indiana Eye Clinic . I am very unhappy with my results!!! My husband went to Eye Specialist of Indiana , he was finished with cataract surgery for both eyes in 3 days, much better place with a much better outcome! And a much lower price ....

Douglas Combs: Great doctors but be prepared to spend two to three hours every time you have an appointment. Very poor scheduling desk they don't value your time at all.

Jeanne Brown: I am very upset with Indiana Eye Clinic. I had my first cataract surgery in June 2021. Every thing went fine. Had my second eye done in July. At my next appt it was discovered I had swelling behind my eye and a filmed had developed. I was told to take 2 eye drops 4 times a day that gave me migraine headache everyday. I called about the headaches and told nothing could be done about them because I needed the drops. At my next visit they should have tested my left eye vision but instead dilated my eyes so could not test the vision. Found out swelling had gone down. Wanted to wait a month to check to see if film disappeared. 1st appt I could get was 6 weeks. I can tell you the film has not not away. I get a call today 3 days before my next appointment that they have to reschedule. Now can’t get me in for another 60 days. I am very upset! I think I should be seen before any new patients since I have already paid for the services. I had planned the surgery far enough in advance before I turn 65. I will not ever be able to recommend this business to anyone!

Adrienne Pulley: Only go there if you have endless time. My last appointment took 3 hours. Most of it was after the initial evaluation by the tech assistant. I have now been waiting over an hour. What really hurts is that I am an hourly worker so I’m missing a whole afternoon and will probably need to use PTO to just sit here watching HGTV. Not very considerate on their part. Totally unacceptable.

Mindy Siota: Overall, a very good experience here. Was referred for eye irritation and burning/stinging pain.This is a fairly large building, but everything ran very smoothly! They seemed to have one employee dedicated to simply walking people where they needed to be in the building.Dr. Sharp was both kind and competent. He gave me a diagnosis and took the time to answer all my questions, even taking a second look at my eyes based on a question I had asked. He was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly - as was everyone I interacted with!I would have given a full 5 stars if he had done more comprehensive testing for my specific condition and developed a treatment plan. I ended up going to another doctor to address the issue, as Dr. Sharp's recommendations alone were not enough to solve the problem. Still, I would recommend this practice.

Pamela Sharp-Wheeler: Paul walton ruined my eye!! 3 years later and seeing a new surgeon during these past three years trying to fix this so call Dr Waltons mistake, I'm still having problems. He held me down against my will with the nurses help and performed the surgery. I was also sent home, 100 miles away that same day to do the follow up with my optometrist in my home town. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! If I could sue this place I would but you know how it goes his word against mine, son why bother. I'm still having problems and have had to have more surgery on my eyes since Dr Waltons screw up. They heard you in like a bunch of cattle and run you thru with no respect. Don't go here!!!!!!!!!

Toni Herron: If you need cataract surgery, THIS is the place to go. Ultra professional and efficient but I never felt like I was on a conveyor belt of service. All caregivers were professional in their roles AND ALL wore name tags so I could identify the members of the team and their respective roles. Aubrey Burns: Angie did our initial patient intake exams and she was awesome with my daughters! She is great at what she does and fast. Dr Claerbout was our optician and he was also great at everything! My youngest was very nervous about her first eye appointment, and he put any fears to rest. Rick Reed: My experience with Eye Surgeons of Indiana was more than satisfying. I don't like anything coming near my eyes, so eye surgery was not attractive. Nonetheless, it was necessary. Eye Surgeons of Indiana made the entire process from screening exam to surgery to post-op visits comfortable and easy. In fact, surgery itself was amazingly fast, painless, and effective. I have had a number of surgeries - all of them major, but nothing was as easy as this one. These doctors, nurses, and support staff know what they are doing.

My only suggestion is that I would have liked to have known what to expect after the surgery. I did not opt for the corrective surgery for astigmatism and therefore could not see to drive until I received my new glasses a month later. My husband had knee surgery shortly after my surgery and he could not drive either. We would have planned differently had we known what to expect after my surgery.

I rarely leave reviews but I felt I absolutely had to here to help others who are researching their best option for lasik or any of their corrective surgeries. Seriously look no further!! The staff here are beyond friendly, accommodating, empathetic, knowledgeable, helpful, and you can just tell they’re not just following some set of company guidelines that tell them to be nice to clients, they genuinely care about you. I went in for my free consultation at the end of July and was told while I didn’t qualify for lasik (based on shape of my cornea I think?) I did qualify for PRK and the doctor thoroughly explained that procedure and what it would entail from surgery day all the way through recovery and beyond. I was scheduled for PRK on Aug 5th and from the moment I walked in til the moment I left on surgery day, I was extremely well taken care of and I COULD SEE!! For the first time in 25 years I could see without glasses. The doctors told me what each day of recovery would look like and they were spot on!! I experienced no pain, but some mild irritation on recovery day 3 and sensitivity to light and eyes were watery. Vision was blurry for about a week, so I did have to take a couple more days off work than I planned to (doctor told me I should have planned for a week ahead of time, I should have listened.) For about a month after surgery, I wasn’t quite 20/20 but I could see! Seeing signs off in the distance was still a bit blurred but could definitely see well enough to function. I just kept slowly but surely gaining better eyesight as I healed. I just had my 3 month check up a couple weeks ago and I am 20/20 and can read on the 20/15 line! While PRK is a longer recovery process than lasik, it is worth it!! I wouldn’t change a thing and cannot think the doctors and their team enough. I can’t think of anywhere I’ve ever been where I’ve gotten better customer service. I hope this helps anyone who needed help making a decision on where to go for their vision!

Kristina Swinney: Let me tell you about these Doctors! This man is Dr. Robinson with 20/20 Eye Physicians…the nicest caring doctor! He has seen my entire family from glasses, contacts, diagnosing my dad’s diabetes essentially with an eye exam, did my dad’s cataracts and referred my family to some of the top doctors for different eye issues. He’s also the one who always told me ”no not yet” for lasik about 10-12 years ago. Today he came in on his day off to see me. The man that saw me at 5 years old and started me on my glasses journey. And he was there today as I closed that chapter! ❤️Dr. Huang was so personal and sweet! Made sure she explained everything in depth and answered all questions. Never did anything to me without me knowing what was coming so there were no surprises today! Thank you for the ultimate birthday present as I turn 36 in a couple weeks…the gift of sight! ❤️The entire staff at Elite LASIK and Cataract has been wonderful! Rob Busch: I had PRK done in December at Elite LASIK and couldn’t be happier with the results. I’m now 20/15 (although it seems even better than that) and my eyesight is just plain amazing. I’ve had glasses/contacts since middle school and my only regret is not doing this sooner. I can’t say enough nice things about the entire staff at Elite - they were professional, compassionate, friendly and extremely supportive throughout the whole process. They made extra efforts to scheduling my appointments easy and flexible. They were very thorough at explaining my options after my initial consultation, and made me feel comfortable with the procedure. Although I wasn’t a candidate for LASIK or SMILE based on my exam which is what I wanted, I was able to get the same results with PRK. Dr. Massela is extremely knowledgeable and compassionate and just overall incredibly friendly. She answered all the questions I had and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. The day of surgery was seamless and very fast. Dr. Wentz was my surgeon and he and his team not only did a fantastic job with my procedure but had wonderful bedside manner and made me feel confident going to the surgery that it was safe and effective. I cannot recommend Elite LASIK enough!

DeeDee did the testing for my daughter and made it fun and she was so encouraging. Dr. Karina Snyder is so wonderful for my 9yr old daughter. She took the time to explain and educate my daughter on her own diagnosis. She told her what it means, and showed her on a 3D model of the eye, so she could understand what is going on in her eyes and exactly why she sees things differently. It was so great and really helped my daughter. Then we were sent out to Tim who helped us pick out great frames and made the whole process so much fun. He made sure she got exactly what she wanted and catered the whole thing to her! My daughter said she had a great time at her eye appointment, what kid actually says that!?
