Jenny McGinnis: I’m a first-time progressive lenses eyeglasses wearer. Bill could not have made the experience easier or more rewarding. He carefully helped me select a frame size and style appropriate for my face, and took measurements which ensured that I had minimal adjustment time to the graduated distance and close-up areas of my lenses. He also worked with my insurance and was able to qualify me for a discount on my purchase, something I didn’t think was possible. Even in the midst of the pandemic, my new glasses were ready in a week, and I love them so much that I don’t think I’ll be wearing my monovision contacts anymore. If you want expertise, patience and care in selecting new eyewear, this is a great place to go.

Zac McClung: Went to another place prior to Smith-Bridenstine to have my glasses fixed only to be told they couldn’t but I can get an exam and new ones for hundreds of dollars. I was recommended to Smith-Bridenstine and they surpassed my expectations. Not only did Mr Bridenstein fix them in 5 mins, he did so for free! They earned a customer for life and will continue to go there for ALL of my optical needs!

Interstate Optical was founded in 1977 by entrepreneur Raymond Art Sr. With roots as an optical sales rep, having personally experienced the daily needs of his customers, Ray’s goal was to start a laboratory that put quality first and was passionate about serving the needs of its customers.
In 2008, Interstate partnered with Essilor to be able to provide their advanced technology and products, while maintaining their family business culture. In 2011, Indiana-based lab, GK Optical, merged with Interstate, and in 2018, another Indiana-based laboratory, LensTech Optical was added, forming the Interstate Lab Group. Now operating simply as Interstate Ohio and Interstate Indy, Interstate continues to operate with the same founding principles, under the guidance of Ray’s sons John and Rob Art, and grandson and namesake Raymond Art.

I’ve had my pair from See for almost four years, worn daily, and they’re still in great shape. I was going to put in new lenses, but decided I’d get some new frames while I’m at it.If I’m going to be critical of anything, it was trying to make an appointment. I understand they’re appointment-only due to COVID safety, and there only seems to be one person working, but See should make it easier to make an appointment- either online or by phone.
Nicole Serak: I received my new frame today and Lisa was there to take care of my adjustments, Lisa is the sweetest, most caring and genuinely cared about my concerns. Am very picky about my adjustment and she nailed it the first time. I purchased glasses from your store before but I couldn’t get the frame adjusted after a dozen trip of 40 minutes each way. Lisa is the best I ever had for this and her CS skills are refreshing. Again Lisa thank you, I love your personality, please keep up the good work.
Frank Scarchilli: 0 Stars. Ordered $300 glasses that were a poor fit. Had to get them adjusted more than once (4 times) because they would feel alright initially but would eventually give me a headache or slide off of my face. The staff became progressively more annoyed and flippant and less helpful each time I came in even though I was very polite and apologetic. After the fourth visit I felt like crying because I felt very embarrassed when the staff looked at me as if something was wrong with me. I just gave up.
