Zachary B: This place is amazing. Took our birds here for beak/nail trim. Expected trouble like a bite from the birds. We walked in and handed the birds over, and before we made it around the store once, they were done. So fast, and the birds are clearly more comfortable and happy. Also got some great advice on food and training. We're moving to Brown County, but we will definitely be making the drive back here every time we need something for the birds.

Nick ONeill: This place is part aviary, part pet supply store, and all fun! The birds are gorgeous and the owners were so friendly and courteous! We were stunned by our newest favorites "Blueberry" and "Jackie," the enormous blue Macaws! Please be respectful of these truly awe-inspiring living beings and remember it's not a petting zoo - they are living, breathing animals and deserve our adoration without provocation! We enjoyed our visit and we will be back!

James Roseman III: Easily the best place in Indiana for bird related food, toys, and equipment. The people here are friendly and passionate about birds. Not only are we able to get quality food and toys for our conure here but every time we go in the staff will answer questions for us that we may have and they really helped us learn how to properly care for our Green cheek. It's also fun to be able to visit some of the birds that the owners have here everytime we swing by. Milton is my favorite.

Stephen Tharp: Ridiculous that you go through and purchase items for your pet and then they first of all don’t help you at all or even offer while you’re in the store and second they want to charge you for the bag they want to put the items you just purchased in. I didn’t realize they were trying to be like Aldi.

Karen Clayton-Wells: We visited PetCo on Sunday to pick up a guinea pig for our daughter. Her pet cockatiel died (we told her she flew away), and she had been so heartbroken, missing her friend. Of course, dad wanted to make her happy and that meant finding her a new friend.We are so happy to have come across Bailey. They were extremely helpful in helping us. Not only were they helpful in assisting us with picking out the newest members (yes members, guinea pigs are herd animals, so we needed to pick two out) of our family, picking out the items they'd need at home so they would be happy and healthy, but they were also very knowledgeable about the guinea pigs. They were very sweet and patient with mine and my husband's various questions and did not hesitate to take time from stocking items to help us pick out all we needed and explain the care process for the piggies.If you visit this location, I hope Bailey is there to assist you! They definitely made this trip/purchase easy!

Was sent a digital receipt with all the information from the paper one and they refuse to refund. It's disingenuous to present it as one and call it something else when there is an issue. Megan Hart: Staff here are friendly and knowledgeable - I was really particular with what I was looking for, and they spent quite a bit of time on the phone with me, listening to what I wanted and adding in a couple thoughtful suggestions (things I wouldn't have considered) to help me get the perfect set-up. They take care of you and you can tell they value your business. The store also has a good selection of high-quality bird food, feeders and baths. Their feeder pole system is much sturdier than anything you'd find in a regular store and you can either buy a basic boxed setup or you can fully customize your setup part by part. They take in person, phone or website orders and offer curbside pickup too which is really nice during the pandemic.

Paul Phillips: We visited Uncle Bills after lunch next door. One thing I noticed right away was the cleanliness of the store. While looking at the fish, my daughter noticed a white beta, a color we had not seen before. Immediately a helpful employee showed up to explain the uniqueness of the fish and how it was acquired. He also helped with picking out the perfect tank, filter, heater and food to keep our new pet happy. When we went to the cashier to pay for everything, she was extremely friendly and really engaged my granddaughter. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Jasmine Tidrow: The smell of pet urine and fences hits you when you first come in. Open some windows and air the place out and use something to neutralize odors. Birds all looked extremely unhealthy. They are picking their feathers off. I’m not sure how many birds are allowed in one cage but this looked like way too many to me. So many that several were picking at each other.
Heather Marie: Tons of pets! And you can interact with/ and hold all of them! From spiders, lizards and snakes to rabbits, cats and dogs. There's also hamsters and tons of birds! Staff are very friendly!

Taylor Sheppard: Where do I even start?? This is the best Petco I have ever been to. I live in Cincinnati and come to visit friends in Indy regularly. When they set up tanks we always come to this Petco and Franklin and all the other partners are absolutely the most kind and helpful folks. Franklin went so far as to help me save SO MUCH MONEY with PetCo Vital Care. I signed up for fish and cats and have saved so much money in a month that it has paid for my membership for the year. I absolutely recommend this Petco, not just for price and selection, but for the care and consideration of the employees and management. They truly care about their customers and pets!!

Ashley Wilcoxen: We don't live in the area and came to this PetCo location twice in 3 days and while we stayed on that side of town. First visit was an hour before closing with myself and two children so unfamiliar with the store I implored of the whereabouts of the items I needed and if I got a string of words as an answer instead of 1--2 and even none, it was to tell me that she didn't know if they carried this or wave her hand over the back left half on the large store to pinpoint where I should find it, if they have it. Granted, I was not happy to be there with tired kids, but it cost nothing to be kind or courteous, which is exactly how the cashier from our second trip treated us and even went above and beyond. She was just extremely helpful, super pleasant, and even engaged with our youngest who loves to check out every single dog toy more than the dog even does and even though dad was there with me this time and I had backup, how she was with our family made the visit easier and definitely enjoyable. I didn't catch her name, but she was younger (early-mid 20's?), long brunette hair pulled up, and taller (5'10-6'). This review may have lost a star due to the first visit, but it would've had 1 if it hadn't been for the second visit, I did a review here in hopes that management can easily identify the lovely employee, that's why I didn't offer details about the first cashiers physical attributes, it is not my wish to judge or shame anyone, but telling of the experience gives more context to why the young lady made such an impression. I hope she gets the kudos she definitely deserves!

Majorly overpriced on everything I looked at, half-emptied pallets all over the main walkways of the store, the grooming department looked as though it had been deserted for years (as did an entire front corner of the store near grooming...there was a TON of clearance, everywhere, but there were bins of randomness in this corner, and the clearance prices didn't seem very clearanced...).The store was generally a mess and needs a thorough cleaning. I think there was a manager flitting around who was in no sort of uniform...she had on something that said Petco...a name tag, maybe?...and she was barking orders at the checker.Honestly, my visit was because I happened to have a bit of time and wanted to look at some items for our newly adopted dog. Won't be back soon.

John Anderson: Disappointing visit today. I went in to purchase some fish around 11:30am, but there was no one to help customers who wanted fish. I asked the cashier for assistance and she paged over the intercom for someone to come to aquatics, but no one came. I waited for about 20 minutes before leaving empty handed. It has been difficult in the past to get help with the fish, but I've never had to leave with nothing. Very disappointed.

On 10/30/2022, the date of his first flu vaccination, this date was approved and confirmed by staff member Jenny.On 12/04 I responded to a text message to fill out paperwork and confirm our appointment prior to arriving. As the instructions stated, we arrived 10 minutes early for the appointment after a 45-minute drive.Upon arrival we were informed that the location was out of the required vaccination and there was nothing they could do. So why did I receive text messages to confirm the appointment? So why did a staff member not contact me to let me know the location was out of the vaccine? So why was Jenny incredibly rude, almost pointing blame at me and saying, “there is a nationwide shortage and there is nothing we can do”. If a nationwide shortage does exist, why is PETCO scheduling appointments? So many questions and zero answers yet! There’s one question I can answer. Will I step foot into a Petco ever again or recommend Petco to anyone? ABSOLUTELY NOT!
