International Montessori School: what do users think?
Kajal: This review may not do full justice to IMS. This was one of the best schools our kids have attended. All positive. IMS has the most structured, student centered curriculum. While the kids move forward at their own pace under montessori setting, IMS teachers support kids tirelessly to bring out full potential from them. They foster love for reading, math, science and culture. Ms. Eram and Ms. Ranee as well as all the assistant teachers take great amount of interest in each kid while promoting independence and focus in kids. You will be surprised how much work kids do and how happy and proud they are when they come home everyday. We miss IMS teachers!!
Kathy Madvig: I knew immediately upon meeting Ms. Ranee and the staff that the International Montessori School was a warm, welcoming, excellent learning environment for my children. We were new to the area back in 2006 and I looked at multiple schools; however, IMS provided the specialized learning environment and love and caring for the children that I was looking for. Not only did my children receive an amazing pre-school and Kindergarten education at IMS, but I also felt completely supported as a parent dealing with the struggles of raising young children. IMS provided an environment for my children to excel academically and learn in ways that were unique to each child by Ms. Ranee and the IMS staff. It also provided a diverse cultural environment and life long friends for not only my children but my husband and I as well. Our oldest was accepted as a direct admit into the Krannert School of Management and the Larsen Leaders Academy at Purdue University. He is a now a junior and a member of the Rising Professionals group and the President of the Purdue Cooperative Council this year. Our middle daughter was accepted into the prestigious College of Agriculture for the Animal Sciences program at Purdue University and is a freshman this year. The youngest is now a sophomore in high school and maintaining a 4.0 GPA.I strongly believe that the academics and life skills our children learned in their formative years at the International Montessori School gave them the edge to be successful young adults. Sending our children to IMS was one of the best decisions we made for our children’s futures.
Bernard Mickle: My 4 yr old daughter has attended IMS starting at 3 yrs old. She is in her 2nd school year with Mrs. Eram the Pre C teacher. This school has been a game changer moving from Dallas Metro-Plex leaving behind an amazing licensed Montessori where both our daughters attended starting at 8 months, to moving to Indy and struggling to find quality true Montessori licensed schooling for daycare/ Pre-K age students. Since attending IMS, our daughter Kenley has been encouraged and inspired to learn. She has grown a love for reading and pursuing other areas of learning beyond her age bracket scope of work. Outside of the educational opponent, she has grown in her social emotional learning and practical life skills. We are so impressed with this school teachers, learning environment and most of all the head of school Mrs. Ranee, that we decided to bring our youngest daughter to the school once she gets of age (3 yrs). She will be officially starting next year. We can’t wait to see the leaps and bounds our youngest will grow.
tsuyin83: My child has attended IMS since 2018 when we moved from Washington. This school was highly recommended by our colleague and no doubt this is one of the best schools in the Indianapolis/Carmel area. The teachers that worked with my child are so patient and provided such great support in hands-on learning and in turn the kids developed this passion and excitement to learn not just academically but also the social and emotional learning aspects of it. We are also grateful and appreciate Ms.Ranee’s attentiveness and are always available to talk to whenever we come across hurdles. I am definitely looking forward to having our child continue first grade at IMS.
Betsy Weatherly: My husband and I have been more than pleased with our experience at IMS. We moved our two daughters to IMS in August of 2020 and they have had a wonderful school year. We love their approach to education and adapted beautifully to the pandemic. The staff at IMS are thoughtful, caring and wonderful educators.
Fumika Nonaka: My husband and I have two children and both went to IMS. Sending them to IMS was one of the best decisions we have ever made. Both of them spent four years there. They got a strong learning foundation and good critical thinking skills during those years. They now love to learn. They are full of intellectual curiosity.I was wondering why IMS children including mine were so focused on their work. I can tell some of the reasons now after spending eight years with IMS. The teachers and staff have great love for their students. They are highly trained and still training themselves. They try so hard to make the best environment for the children to focus. For example, they talk in gentle voice so that children feel secure. They make their rooms neat and simple without any vivid colored posters or toys that could get the children visually distracted. All you can see are simple furniture, real materials, flowers and beautiful art pieces. There is no unnecessary visual and auditory noise around them. That is how children can shift their mind to learning as soon as they enter the classroom. It’s almost like IMS children are experiencing mindfulness naturally.I have to mention one more thing. My younger one graduated from IMS in May 2020 during the pandemic. He really enjoyed the zoom class even though he missed his teachers and friends. He graduated without going back to school. It was sad for us. However, we had “zoom graduation” instead. One child a day had a special opportunity to sing a favorite song, to read their favorite poem and their journal they had written while in school. We were so proud to see them performing in a gown or nice clothes. It was a beautiful moment for all the children and parents. I really appreciate the teachers and staff’s quick action for the pandemic.Needless to say, I highly recommend IMS.
Vipin Yadav: Enrolling our kids at IMS has been one of the best decisions of our lives. An IMS parent has referred us to this school. The school building is very simple, but little did we know that this is a hidden gem. Both of our children attend IMS. We enrolled our second child before she was born to ensure she has a spot in this school. If you are wondering why then keep reading-IMS is undoubtedly one of the best schools in the Indianapolis area. Montessori teaching is unique and enables kids to learn academics hands-on and instills a love for learning at this young age. The emphasis on reading is top-notch, and you are going to be amazed as to how quickly the kids pick up phonics and start reading level 1-4 books by themselves, all before even reaching lower elementary. Additionally, your kids are exposed to a variety of cultures from across the world, participate in role-plays, public speaking, learn different languages, which is very refreshing and different than usual by-the-book monotonous teaching other schools tend to promote. The teachers and staff are extremely passionate about coaching these kids and really believe in Montessori teaching principles. We continue to be amazed by our kids as they come home and talk with surprising details about countries and languages of the world, parts of a human cell, parts of the human heart, the digestive system etc, just to name a few. The school has recently added lower elementary also. Do not think twice about enrolling your child here if you see a rare opening in this school.
Sarah Jenkins, Ph.D.: In 2013, we were looking for a preschool for our shy, yet bright, daughter, we interviewed and toured several different types of schools. Once we visited IMS, we were immediately impressed with the environment, teachers, staff, and engaged students. We noticed that IMS was unique because of its focus on cultural diversity and community. The education offered at IMS was challenging, progressive, and top-notch. Seven years after our first tour, all three of our children have attended IMS and have loved it. It is truly a hidden gem in our city. We highly recommend IMS to any family that values education, excellence, and diversity.
Lori: Our daughter just finished her first year at International Montessori and I can't say enough about Ms. Ranee, the staff, and the family of families who attend. Our daughter is being taught about other cultures and can count in various languages. She began not knowing how to write and in one year is writing numbers and letters. Well beyond the academics, the kids learn about responsibility, problem solving, creativity, and even practice public speaking. It's wonderful.
jacqui keskinen: This school is simply the best Montessori school in Indianapolis!!! We visited a lot (even had a few bad experiences with some of them), and nothing compared to the quality of education my daughter is receiving at this school. Montessori certified teachers, many YEARS of experience, and such a wonderful and friendly environment to thrive in. My daughter comes home excited to tell me what she learned each day, and really looks up to her teachers. I have absolutely nothing but fantastic things to say about this school. We adore it!
Nirali Shah: This Fall my eldest child will be starting 1st grade at a Carmel Public School. Next year (Fall 2017) my third and youngest child will join our middle child at IMS (International Montessori School). My eldest has attended IMS for the full three years including Kindergarten and my husband and I could not be happier with our choice. This Montessori school is like no other. It takes the Montessori approach and incorporates structured learning in reading, math, science and arts. This helps children broaden their experience in subjects that do not come easily to them and makes the children well rounded and versed in all subject matter by the time the program is complete.Multiple friends referred IMS to us when we moved to the area. We checked out all of the other local schools prior to making our choice: Primrose, Goddard, Funshine, and other Montessori schools. After touring the school and seeing the impact IMS had on our friends children, the choice was clear (and easy). The IMS community is wonderful as well. Parents who wish to be involved have plenty of opportunities to help out (in person or other way as well). They say it takes a village to raise a child. I truely believe that the director of the school has created a caring Montessori village. I am proud to say that my children and family will forever be a part of this village (even once all my children are IMS alumni).
Brian McQueen: I love the Montessori philosophy. When we moved to Indianapolis in 2014, we needed to find care for our, then, 2 & 4 year old kids. We liked Montessori and thought our kids would thrive with it. The problem we ran into was that most schools do not take kids under 3. We wanted our kids to be together so we did not choose the International Montessori School in 2014 (the child must be 3 & potty trained to go here). We still went to Montessori, but not this one. We were not happy with our choice. So, when our daughter turned 3, we shopped around. We found IMS, attended an open house event, and selected this school and are very happy with our choice in International Montessori School. We also found that not all Montessori schools are created equal. This one is on the top of the schools! We love this school. What we found:- the teachers are calm, patient, intelligent, worldly- the teachers pay attention to each child's individual skills, talents and opportunities for improvement- the school itself has loads of natural light coming in- the owner has many years experience and it shows- kids are able to attend from 3 to kindergarten- traditions are taught about cultures all around the world (hence the "International" in the name)- summer care is available - the Montessori concepts are still taught during the summer. Our kids have thrived at this school. If you have a child in the 3-6 age group and are looking for care - check out the International Montessori School.
Bedatri Sinha: I cannot say enough about this school! The teaching style and their ability to motivate any child is unlike that of any other school. The warm environment immediately puts a child at ease. The teachers have a very keen ability to identify a how a child learns and tailor to their unique learning style. Two of my children have already graduated from this school and I am planning on sending a third (could not have imagined sending him anywhere else). This school lays such a strong foundation that a child can then thrive anywhere.
Samia Alajlouni: I can't tell you enough about this school! The IMS made huge difference in my son's life. It put him on a different trajectory of his academic and social life! Before he joined IMS, he was in another preschool where his teacher told us he does not want to learn.... he does not want to read! as parents, of course we were shocked and angry ! So we started looking for another school. Our search ended When we found IMS! we loved it so much, we moved to live closer to IMS.The teachers were amazing! They were patient, and methodical in their approach. In just few months after my son joined IMS he started to read! They instilled in him love to learn, appreciation of diversity, and most importantly passion to read. At his kindergarten graduation he wrote and illustrated his own little book about how the white blood cells work in the immune system to protect the human body. He felt so proud of himself! And it was a priceless moment to hear him read it in front of the school! After he graduated from IMS, he joined the gifted/ talented program in the public school. Now, He is in fifth grade with excellent reading habits and he is the top writer in his class. International Montessori School has a lot to do with his success !As parents we felt privileged to be part of that school and the values it holds. We had a great community of a diverse group of people. We socialized quite a bit with the rest of the parents and teachers. We attended the school's many celebrations and the annual art auction which became a tradition that we enjoyed and cherished. Now, my second child who is four year old is a student at IMS and I am planing to put my 3 year old there once he is potty trained:)So Yes, I highly recommend this school!
Afshan Paarlberg: IMS has been the best thing to happen to our family. The teachers are warm, welcoming and highly trained. My children have benefitted from the Montessori education at this school in ways that I could have never imagined. The culture, academics, healthy snacks, environmental consciousness etc. at this school go over and beyond what we have ever experienced in any school. Amazing foundation for our children's future!

Meridian Hills Cooperative Nursery School & Kindergarten: what do users think?
Katherine Ramsey: Not only is this a great school for kids, but it is a wonderful community of parents and staff. Our kids have grown so much from this program and we have made great friends, as well.
Sarah Isen: Meridian Hills Co-op has been an amazing home for our family the last 5 years. It is so much more than just a preschool. It is a place where children can simply be, without judgment, lofty expectations or unnecessary structure. It's also a place where parents can be involved with the children, teachers and other parents and ultimately learn along with the children. Our family has experienced all the classes Meridian Hills Co-op has to offer and we have loved our experiences from playing in the mud, sledding down the hill, rolling tires in the playground, visiting a stable, the orchards, the creamery, farmers market, IMA, Peewinkles Puppet Studio, seeing the Nutcracker and other shows and so much more. If you want a place that is more than just a school, that can offering enriching experiences not just for your children but for your whole family, then I suggest you look no further than Meridian Hillls Co-op.
Christine Wise: Meridian Hills is a parent-led school that offers a top-notch education. My son completed the 3s-Kindergarten program and is a better elementary student for it. The skills he gained at Meridian Hills are things he will have for life: problem-solving, creativity, working with others, communication with peers (and adults), self-regulation, and many others. Not only did he receive an education, I enjoyed the Parent Education speakers that are brought in several times a year (at no additional cost to me) to speak on current parenting topics. It's been a pleasure to learn to be a better parent alongside my children. Meridian Hills is a leader in age-appropriate education. They have been perfecting the education model for over fifty years. Their current teachers are highly-educated and caring. They genuinely care about my children (and me.) This school offers community like none other in the area.
Natasha Elise: Raspberry picking, creek stomping, feeding the class guinea pig, making play dough, and exploring sensory tables - this is what has filled our days at Meridian HIlls Cooperative Nursery School, and that was just the first two weeks! My daughter is a Robin (four year old) and she and I have both had a wonderful experience at the school. There are three teachers and they are three of the best teachers I have met. They are experienced, love children, and value the power of play.
Ginny Hacker: This school has been a valued child and parent school experience for nearly 60 years. Housed in the same location since 1960, there is a long-standing tradition of professionally trained teachers providing developmentally appropriate play-based academics in an enriching environment. In daily classroom instruction, children are taught how to self-regulate and manage conflict resolution both in the classroom and on the playground. The school is managed in a team approach with parents and staff working together to offer comprehensive parent education.
Annie Labo: My daughter currently attends MHCNS. The first day we visited the school to take a tour, she was instantly engaged and actively participated in the activities taking place in the classrooms. I knew from that moment, this was the school for our family. I appreciate the engagement of the families, and actually knowing who my child is going to school with each day. This is a play based atmosphere which allows each child to explore their own interests. The love and care expressed by the teachers is overwhelming and exceptional compared to other preschools I have visited. I would highly recommend MHCNS to anyone looking for an active, engaging preschool experience.

A Children's Habitat Montessori School: what do users think?
Amanda Gibson: I didn't grow up around children so when I had a child, I felt pretty clueless. I knew I wanted my child to go to a montessori school and I'm so happy we found A Children's Habitat. Being a first time parent filled with anxiety of leaving my child somewhere without me was quickly made simple our first day. My child started when he was 2 and we're now in our third year here. A Children's Habitat was my first introduction into how amazing teachers can be as a parent. Children can start to go here at 18 months and my experience was with Ms. Ngo and Ms. Cholpon and they invested so much into my child which made moving up in a class to Ms. Joyce and Ms. Minda a joy. All of these teachers have not just watched my child but taught him. Every time I've ever done a parent teacher meeting I'm just so happy to hear them say the small details about my child that I notice about him too. I'm reassured that they're paying attention to his little heart and personality.Honestly, I could go on and on and on. I was so scared to send him to school but I couldn't have asked for a better start to my son's education!
Russ Ford: We feel so lucky to have found ACH for our 5 year old, and we can't wait to send our 7 month old there as well! Our son is in the 3-6 classroom (preschool/kindergarten), and he comes home every day raving about it. The teachers are so kind, there is tremendous effort and organization put in to make the school a true community, we love the child-led Montessori approach, and the outside time with the outdoor classroom is unparalleled from what we've seen at other area schools. We are looking forward to our 5 year old continue on to the elementary classrooms at ACH!
Shelby Kissick: We absolutely love our school! I couldn't imagine a better program for my daughter. The teachers are so kind and patient. I love how much time the kids spend outside and learning hands-on. I also really appreciate the community. Above all else, my daughter has the freedom to be herself here and feels loved ♥️
Autumn Sutton: Truly a magical gem of a school for my children. The teachers are so understanding and patient with my children, the community so welcome, and I love the Outdoor Classroom!

The Goddard School of Indianapolis (North): what do users think?
tiffany hunt: I have worked here for more than two years. I enjoy working with the toddlers. I like Goddard and the teaching tools we use to make lesson planning meaningful and fun for the children. The owners and directors are so courteous and fair and always treat me with respect. I love the little community that we have become over the past year and a half. In all honesty, no one has asked me to post this. I say this because I mean it and I highly recommend to any family and teacher who loves children. 💕
Caroline Scott: My child attended Goddard for approximately nine months in 2019. While I would caution any parent against choosing this program, I most strongly advise parents of Black children to go elsewhere. As someone with a master's degree in education from the University of Michigan and nearly twenty years of teaching experience in a well-regarded school district, I know what an exceptional early childhood program looks like. This program isn't even average.Goddard’s licensing record, publicly available via the Indiana FSSA website, is alarmingly poor. Their citation record includes THREE failures to appropriately report child abuse or neglect, failure to follow background check requirements, feeding a child breast milk from the wrong mother, and leaving toddlers unsupervised outdoors. Goddard’s current Paths to Quality rating is a level one—the worst possible score for a licensed center—and their licensing status in 2020 was “probationary.” Clearly I am not alone in my assessment.I rarely observed positive interactions between children and teachers when I visited the classroom. The “lesson plans” I received, when I actually received them, were generally nonsensical, developmentally inappropriate, and were so riddled with spelling errors that I assumed the author (my son’s “teacher”) was functionally illiterate. Seeing children parked in front of a computer watching videos was a common sight at pickup. I can count on one hand the number of times I saw children being read to. Staff turnover at Goddard was so high that I quickly lost track of the teachers’ names.I saw no evidence of any academic learning in the time my son attended Goddard, despite my child's strong math and language skills and high levels of learning at his past and current preschools. When Mrs. Patel (the owner) was asked to name ONE skill my child had learned at Goddard, she was completely unable to cite a single, provable, example of a learned skill, despite her claims of being in the classroom “all the time” observing. I’ve successfully taught my son to spell simple words, count to 100, and write his name... all before his fourth birthday. Since leaving Goddard, he blossomed at his new school. My son’s abilities are not the problem. In addition to a complete lack of the promised top-quality curriculum, my child was repeatedly labeled a “behavior problem” by school staff, while similar behaviors from the non-Black children in his class were largely ignored or excused by both the teaching staff and the owner. Numerous times I witnessed non-Black children (including, on multiple occasions, the owner’s daughter) throwing objects or hitting others being left uncorrected by the adults in charge, or these behaviors being reported to the child's parents at pickup, but not being documented by the school in formal incident reports (as was consistently done for my child).Despite my repeatedly stated concern that my son was being negatively labeled and targeted for disproportionate discipline due to his size, strength, and race, I supported the staff’s disciplinary efforts. I will not condone physical aggression, from my child or ANY other student. When I dared to raise significant, fully legitimate, concerns about the poor quality of the Goddard School program to its owner, without sugar coating the blatant racism my child experienced at Goddard, after school had closed and away from other parents, I was told I was "frightening" the owner/staff and banned from the Goddard School property, under threat of arrest, in a letter written by the owner's attorney/husband.To be clear, at no point, in ANY conversation EVER, was any threat, physical or otherwise, made to the owner or anyone else on the Goddard staff. There was no profanity used in any discussion, private or otherwise, no written rules in the Goddard parent manual were violated, nor was I even yelling at the time. My critique was delivered in a firm tone at a normal volume. Mrs. Patel simply did not care for my "tone" or "demeaning“ (factual) remarks about her "school" and its leadership.
Larry Frutkin: We can’t say enough good things about the Goddard School. It’s been a wonderful environment for our children and I feel they are overly prepared for Kindergarten and first grade. Highly highly recommend.
David Wayne: Critical:QualityI stopped by to see if this would be a good fit to have my Daughter enrolled at and none of the staff was wearing any sort of protection! Nobody was wearing a mask or anything! I did not see any hand sanitizer readily available either. How can I trust these people with my daughter if they refuse to even protect themselves??
Jerrod Marcus Williams: I drove by this location when it was being built, and thought many times "that would be perfect for us!" When the school was close to completion, I decided to get more information. The first time I called, I spoke to the owner. She was very informative and helpful, and I was able to get my daughter enrolled quickly. From day one, I have had nothing but good experiences with Goddard. My child continues her strong development, and is flourishing. I consider it a very strong endorsement when she can't wait to go in the morning, and doesn't want to leave in the evening. The few times I am able to pick her up early, she is quite upset and doesn't want to go home.I especially like how the days are structured around fun activities that keep the children involved and excited to learn. My daughter has been learning sign language, Spanish, and geography among other things. I can tell she is genuinely interested and excited to learn.Whenever we have had concerns or issues come up, the owner and director have been great at communicating with us in a timely manner.I cannot express the importance of peace of mind that I experience when I drop her off each day, that says it all!
Matthew Dodson: We are thrilled with this school! Our one year old daughter is consistently in a happy mood when we drop her off and when we pick her up. She has even learned some sign language, which has made understanding what she wants much easier. The teachers are engaged and clearly care about the children. The owner is usually on-site with an open door for questions, which is awesome. We're glad our daughter is somewhere so nice.

Quality Preschool: what do users think?
Milly Airinaye: 0/10 Recommend This Child Care For Your Children! This Place Neglects Children And Needs Shut Down!
Christiane Bernardo: Daniela is an awesome teacher to our little one. I know my baby is in great hands.
Keri Blethroade: My son has been attending quality preschool for almost a year and has learned so much. He has gone from a shy little boy to being very outgoing. I have to say I'm so impressed with the whole staff. He loves his teacher and has made so many friends. It's a great feeling knowing that hes in good hands at school! I appreciate all of their hard work and dedication they put into making sure all of the kids who attend school are safe and cared for! Thank you quality preschool!
Luz Gonzalez: Went to check out the place bc I wanted to enroll my 3 year old, I went in through the back didn't know they had two different buildings that connected, the door that separates them was unlocked and I was able to walk all the way to where the children were, some staff saw me didn't question me, until I asked to speak to someone. I was directed to the office the place looked old from the inside they didn't have little tables for the kids to eat just old picnic tables and benches, the place looked a hot mess, the classrooms were unlocked. The lady that was supposed to help me ignored me the whole time, she never greeted me or acknowledged me, she handed me an application and kept looking out the window, and I would ask her questions about the application and she would just tell me to fill it out, then I told her the application was probably the wrong one bc it was asking me for old job inquiries and all, then she said " oh sorry this is the wrong apliapplica" she had given me a job application instead of an enrollment one. I just left because it was a mess. Do NOT take your kids here!!!!!
Jeramey Martin: my kindergarten goes to the after school program my 3 yr old is there all day long the teachers they have are excellent and are always lovable to my boys jessica, christina, the school age teacher christina are all awesome I highly recommend this school for anyone all the teachers are great I give this preschool 5 stars
Stacey McCarty: Our son has been going to Quality Preschool for the past year. It’s been a great experience for him as well as us. He has learned so much since starting there. The teachers and staff are always nice and helpful. We’ve been able talk with them if any issues ever came up. They are very good with the kids and do so many fun things for them. We know our son is safe there at school. They let us know about his good days and bad. They let us know what happened and what was done to correct him when he’s done something he wasn’t suppose to. We’re always in communication with his teacher.
Adrienne Jenkins: My two children have been going here for three years and we love it, the staff has always been supportive and willing to help with behavioral issues that my son has had. They have always gone above and beyond with both of my children. There are fun field trips to go on and special family events during the holidays. we have been the recipients of Christmas help from them.I know they also pay for education for their staff, and all are encouraged to get their degrees if they're interested. Great place for kids and employees wanting a career in childcare, not just a job.
Aaron Perry: This place is a great place for you children, yes they have door locks and someone always in the office to see who's trying to come in, never seen kids running halls unattended, kids are always walking in class groups to and from the classes, I've seen then do head count as they are coming in from the playground before they enter the building, staff is friendly and always eager to see the kids and dressed for the job, I get emails throughout the day telling what my kids have done or haven't done with pictures lol, they have people come I and do like dog shows, they also do educational things as well in class, since I have two twins with special needs they are very helpful and willing to do whatever it takes to better them, I know they're a newer school but I'm glad to have them watching the twins and I never worry if they are being treated right. Thanks for everything you guys really means a lot to us parents
Theresa Webb: I've had two kids attend this preschool and can't say anything negative! Teachers are well engaged with the children and you can tell they really care about those in their care. The building is clean and staff are friendly and easy to talk to. The key fobs and secure entry are very much appreciated!
DAVID MARTIN: I have used this preschool for both of my kids and find it to be very nice. The building always seems clean when I pick up and drop off. The teachers are always excited to tell me about my kids day and seem pleasant to deal with. I would definitely recommend!
Heather Jester: Non ADA compliant, rude administration, unwilling to work with parents or adjust schedule. Not very clean and not enough positive reinforcement with children. VERY unsafe entry, no door code, don't check IDs. They didn't know my father in law and he went to back of building to get my daughter and walked out with her. No one asked who he was. Doors so light, my 3 yr old easily could walk out the front door alone. Saw another child from daughter's class allowed to walk out of the class unattended. No front desk in view of door either. It's a hot mess and basically a babysitting service, not a proper learning preschool. Moving daughter elsewhere. Level 1 and unsafe.

Stepping Stones Learning Schools: what do users think?
Maranda Sanders: Stepping Stones has improved since last year. The teacher my daughter has now keeps me up to date with what she is learning. My daughter is able to tell me what she learned. Her work is sent home weekly. I know that she will be ready for kindergarten when it's time.
Alexis Long: Stepping Stones Learning Schools has taught my child and I a lot. My daughter did very well at Stepping Stones academically. The curriculum is outstanding; they exceeded my expectations. My daughter has been attending Stepping Stones since 2017. My daughter's first year went very well, her instructor, whom is no longer there, handled any situation with my daughter or myself very well. It wasn't until this year I have had more problems than usual. There is an open door policy at Stepping Stones and I felt comfortable talking to the director at first but the last few times my issues weren't handled appropriately. The reason I am giving Stepping Stones 2 stars is due to the way my issues were resolved. The first conversation I had with the director about the most recent issues I was told that my daughter's instructor had came to her about my daughter's behavior and the director felt that she had given up on my daughter. Due to that I asked when I am sent a report to send something positive alongside the issue at hand. That wasn't a problem at first, but once I stopped getting those reports and was only receiving information about the issue I reached out to the director and I was told my requests as a parent were pointless and at that time I knew it was time to remove my child. I feel that the director is all about her employees and takes no responsibility for anything that takes place at the school. I am not sure if I was treated a certain way due to me being a young mom but I hope that no other parent is treated the way I was by my daughter's instructor and the director of the school. My daughter is no longer apart of Stepping Stones. Overall Stepping Stones is good curriculum wise but expect backlash when wanting to let the director know about the issues at the school.
Elizabeth Gregory: My child attends Stepping Stones and it amazes me what my child grasp everyday from the curriculum and lessons they teach. He is definitely learning and I test periodically to see how much he is learning. Thank you to his wonderful teacher Ms. Stacia and principal Temeka! I highly recommend Stepping Stones!
Catrina Wilson: My daughter attending SSLS last year. We were looking for a good pre school for her and I stumbled across this school this by far was the best decision we could have made. My daughter was there for that school year and she learned so much so fast. Ms Tameka is an awesome director and the teachers and wonderful. I love that the environment and classrooms size are small. My child was in very good hands. SSLS taught my baby the fundamentals of Spanish and reading and math all in 2 semesters!!! Thank you for providing great care and a excellent learning environment for my daughter!
ShaCori Tate: I was super excited to get my son in her program VERY VERY pleased! ALL the teachers are exceptional and always in communication with me, my son ALWAYS comes home with something he learns, her program is AMAZING, she's teaching prayer, spanish, colors, and spanish. The Director is very open door, theres never been a time she has ignored any of my issues or concern, I am very comfortable with my child being here never had to question any of the staff... they are all amazing they ALL will invite your children in with open arms, especially Miss Stacia :)Great School for your toddler...
Konswayla Farr: We love Ms. Temicka and Ms. Stacia!!! Thanks for all that you do!!
Tamika Spearman: Great school and an excellent program for the children. I always felt safe with leaving my kids.
Breona Webb: I moved to Indianapolis in October and this was the only school I loved! My daughter fit right in with the other kids and loved all the teachers and Ms.Tameka. Each day she enjoyed going to Stepping Stones, I would recommend this school to anyone!
Fallon Gaston: I checked out several daycares preschools throughout the Indianapolis area. Once I met with the directors Temicka Moore and was giving a tour of the facility, I knew it was the right place for my daughter who was two years old when enrolled. She loves going to school and loved the entire faculty, even the teachers that aren't in her classroom greet her with a smile and take the time to get to know her. I myself love the entire team as well! They provide a clean and safe environment, actually have a weekly curriculum they follow, and provide nutritious meals. They take the time to call you if you should know something before you pick up your child and don't mind how many times you call to check on your beloved one. Kudos to Ms. Temicka and her entire team for providing such a great environment for children!
Shaquala Reese, DC: Thank you Stepping Stones for preparing both my children for kindergarten. Their preschool academics is exceptional. The learned more than expected and passed the entrance exams with ease. My boys had an amazing headatart to their bright future. We love Ms. Temicka & staff. Thanks for all you do!

Downey Cooperative Preschool & Kindergarten: what do users think?
Kristen Biehl: LOVE Downey Co-op! Co-op has a little bit of a learning curve for parents because it involves the parent a lot more than conventional preschool, but when it comes to what's best for your kids, it's a no-brainer choice! We've sent both our sons to Downey Co-Operative Preschool. Our first son attended in 2015, and we currently have a kiddo enrolled. The teachers are kind, understanding, caring, and knowledgeable. They taught me so much about how to help my children learn and grow and self-regulate behavior in a peaceful, calm, kind way. While leaving mommy to head to class was no problem at all for my oldest, my youngest had more trepidation in the beginning. Mrs. Egan was wonderfully kind and reassuring and made that transition so easy. My youngest soon found it easier and easier to leave me at the door and head for his favorite activities! My kids spent their days in the classroom doing what all kids need to do more of- play! With lots of "old-school" favorite toys and activities that offer open ended and creative play, my kids quickly found their favorite things to do. They got their first experiences with painting at an easel (a favorite for both) and exploring different textures at the sensory table. They learned how to follow directions from a teacher, follow a classroom routine, drink from a regular cup, wash their hands by themselves, recognize their names, cut with scissors, develop fine motor skills, and gave them great social skills! I couldn't recommend Downey Co-Op enough.
Katie Pellerin: This is our first year at Downey and it brings me so much joy how much my 2-year-old daughter looks forward to school. I love being part of her journey in the classroom and connecting with other parents and children, as well. It's a truly special place and I'm so thankful to have it in our community.
Anna Jascot: We Love Downey Coop. :) Play based learning at it's best!
