The Orchard School: what do users think?
Alicia LaMagdeleine: I teach and work in a high school, so when my wife and I were first expecting our daughter, I spent a lot of time thinking of who she might become when she became a high school student. I thought of all the students I was teaching, or had taught in the past, and tried to envision which of them I would want her to be like. Who were the most intellectually confident? The most comfortable? The most curious and kind? Many of the students I thought of most were Orchard graduates. From then on, Orchard would be our school. Now, what makes Orchard 'worth it' to me is joy of learning it brings to my daughter. It is the moment when she asks a question about something she's learned in school because she's seen something in the real world that relates to it. So when we walk by budding plants in the spring and she is able to compare those sprouts to the observations she's making about a mystery plant in the greenhouse, that's when I know she's developing the skills of a life-long learner and steward of the world that will serve her well in the future.
Dawn K. Batson: Wonderful school and community.
Kelly Fehsenfeld: We recently joined the Orchard School this winter from Florida. Everyone at Orchard has made us feel as though we joined a family. My twins, age 5, wake up everyday thrilled to go to school. Orchard is giving them the platform to enjoy learning, grow from their mistakes, discover their passions, and develop confidence in their abilities. It is truly a wonderful school. We love Orchard!
Jennifer Shin: The Orchard School is a very special place led by an extraordinary group of teachers, faculty, staff and parent community who all understand and embody the importance of child-centered academic excellence in everything they do. We feel grateful to be a part of such a warm and loving place for our children to learn and thrive and become confident, kind, global-minded citizens. We love it and encourage anyone who has high expectations for their children's education to take a tour.
Brandon Sorge: As someone who does education research, I am not only happy with the growth of my child in the STEM subjects but as an inquisitive and engaged learner.
Cathy Rooney: All three of our children attended The Orchard School. We are very pleased with the education they received and so are they. I've often tried to sift through all our years and determine what they most learned/received at Orchard and if I had to pick one attribute (and there are many), I'd pick confidence. They are all confident public speakers. For example, when my daughter was a junior in high school, she won an award that required her to speak at a dinner with over 400 people present. I tried several times to get her to practice and review her speech in advance, knowing that the previous recipient had a professional speech writer. In frustration, one evening she said, "Mom, I went to Orchard. Don't worry." She delivered a flawless speech without notes. They are all confident about their ability to learn. Orchard likes to say they help create life long learners and they do. Each of our children knows how to learn and they like to learn. They are all confident expressing themselves to anyone. In high school, their teachers observed that unlike many shy teens they were not afraid to ask questions and advocate for themselves or for others. And, this has continued throughout their college and post-graduate years. Orchard invites and teaches children how to respectfully approach adults. At Orchard education is not just about science, English, history, etc. While these are important, it's also about helping develop good people and preparing them for the future.
RayMond “Rayray” Jonesey: My muah booboo justb loved it
Grant Kirsh: EXCELLENT school!!!
rana berry: The Orchard School has been an amazing experience for our family. I have 2 children here--tried it out one year for our oldest child and after that year, was so impressed, enrolled my younger child as well. Their progressive approach to education taps into every aspect of what a well rounded child needs: math, science, technology, literature and current events in addition to foreign language, physical and outdoor education, travel, and character. The teachers and administrators truly get to care for each child and are free to do what they love. The staff excels at their work and the students respond with excellence. Every morning my kids look forward to school and often want to stay longer! What a magnificent place--every child should have the opportunity for such a well rounded and excellent education.
A Weisenbach: Awful school. They don't teach anything of value and do not prepare the majority of students for high school. Outdoor education should not be part of Orchard's core curriculum.
Kristy Garcia: Orchard has been a wonderful experience for our daughter and our family. We feel Orchard has and will continue to allow our daughter to develop her skills and talents to the best of her ability. She loves going to school everyday and at a very young age is learning how to advocate for herself and problem solve with her peers. Her teachers are wonderful and work very purposefully to focus on hands-on learning in their classroom. We love our school!

Melvin Ashura: Sad that racism still exists. The letter J is only 400 years old…how long have the black slaves been in America 400 years…the letter J was added to the King James Version of the Bible in 1611. Before then we didn’t know who Jesus was…..400 years later you have a little black boy sitting at the table by himself… racism is taught. Black people can’t get justice in a country that was stolen….#400yearslater….
cat guni: I love this school my ant is a preschool teacher Mrs.Jeveden she is THE BEST
Brittany Strange: A little pricey for what is given. Many times my youngest was sent home with wet/poop diapers on. I would have to bring boxes of diapers in every two weeks. They loved it there but I couldn’t afford 100+ every week. The pre school staff was amazing
Christine Hoff: One of my favorite places5
The Mindset DIVA: Absolutely horrible! My child was hurt T this school many time with no explination of what happened.
Sarah Smith: Wonderful School. Great staff.
AntiSocial_ BMW: Bad I got into a fight bc someone hit me first and I hit back and I get in trouble I didn't tell a teacher bc they don't do anything about it
julio rosado: Good school
Mychael Presoan Nancemy: This is my old school it was AMAZING!!!!!!!! Makyla

The Oaks Academy - Fall Creek: what do users think?
Christine Dolejs: Teachers and all the staff love the Lord with all their hearts soul mind and strength. They love the students and each other. There is the highest standards of learning.
Greg Sturm: This is a fantastic school with teachers who truly care about my kids. The teachers really go the extra mile to help the kids learn. They go on a bunch of field trips, which my kids really like. The Oaks does a great job of not only teaching the academic subject matter, but intentionally instilling good habits. Ralph Waldo Emerson said "treat a man as he is, and he will remain as he is. Treat a man as he could be, and he will become what he should be." The Oaks treats kids as they could be, and the kids rise to the occasion.
Bree Shelton: Its been a couple of years since my child attended The Oaks Academy at Fall Creek. It was not a great school for my child. My child was held back a grade because of her birthday and their entry level exam. Although my child did in fact pass her grade level at her previous school. My child was unhappy at the school. She was picked on, dealt with racial issues the school did nothing to address those issues. It was a dark place for my child. They wanted my child to open up about a deceased parent but my child was uncomfortable talking about that with them. They have no real certified/licensed school counselors. When Covid restrictions were lifted they did not want my child back in person but virtual only. Although my child was struggling and would’ve done better in person they did everything in their power to keep her online. I was 5minutes late turning my form in and they denied my child from being in person. I turned the form in the next quarter and they flat out said no and accused me of going behind they’re backs to have my child go to school in person but how when the form was submitted on time with no stipulations. I had enough as a parent and sent the school a letter of my concerns. They want to up hold meetings and votes but their minds are already made I unenrolled my child. They of course continued to take monthly payments although they didnt want my child at their school but the money. By far the worst school I have to date enrolled my children in. My child went back to the previous school we were at and didn't have any issues except being held back a grade from the Oaks Academy. The building is old and they definitely will try to weed out certain students. Im not the only parent to complain about the Oaks. The Community and The City of Indianapolis School boards should really look into The Oaks its really not a prestigious school just an old building in a gentrified neighborhood with teachers and staff whom play on Christianity. The Faculty I met could not have read a word in the bible it wasnt love, kindness or compassion. No mercy, No grace just a business with closed bibles in it. My horrendous experience at The Oaks Academy at Fall Creek!
Michael Jackson: An amazing school that teaches students discipline, the value of hard work and how to think for yourself. The vast majority of kids hate school, myself included at the time, but as an adult I continue to be blown away at the amazing opportunities and life lessons that The Oaks provided.
Edward Brown: Went here for several years and looking back on it I left with very little experience in some things like grammar and punctuation.I would definitely not suggest to anyone like literally anyone, unless of corse you want to fail your English class.I won’t even get into the inequalities of the students in the school and the way they are treated,I personally was not treated as poorly as others cause I would not put up with it, but I noticed others being treated unfairly. Also one particular employee has removed several reviews of my sisters simply because they didn’t want others to see it.
C. C: A great place away from public schools...
TheGrub House: They are all about money. They do not have central air they don’t offer a second language until 3rd grads and want almost $20000 a year. Not worth it.
Bernie Elliott: Excellent school with professional caring staff. Proud to be an Oaks Academy parent.
Nathan: We've been a part of the school for more than a decade and are grateful for it's impact on our children and Indianapolis.
malik davenport: I hate this school don't send your kids here I'm a student here
Kenneth Yoder: Great school - very intentional in all they do. We love having our children at the Oaks!!
patton rak: The kids there are not good, but it was a good education
Matthew M.: Before sending my son here I searched long and hard to find something negative about the school, couldn't find anything . My son has been here for two years and we have nothing but praises for this school. It lives up to its reputation.

Fortune Academy: what do users think?
jimiwheels: This school has changed our daughter’s life!
Sarah Alley: The Fortune Academy is a wonderful school located in Lawrence, IN, on Lawton Loop Drive. It is a small school that is focused on teaching about 80-100 students who have dyslexia. This learning difference affects 1 in 5 people, so having a school like this is very important to start overcoming the challenges as early as possible.I am a substitute teacher here and have been since about 2011. Fortune Academy is housed in an old church building in Ft. Harrison in Lawrence, which gives it a certain homey feel. The atmosphere is very inviting and friendly and you can tell as soon as you walk in the doors that you are in a good place. Teachers and students alike are friendly and you are treated as an equal no matter who you are. The building is very clean and well kept and everyone really takes pride in keeping it that way. When you enter the front door you are in the main office and will be greeted by a friendly receptionist or maybe a teacher or student helper. The main difference between Fortune Academy and other schools is that, because they only teach students who have dyslexia, they teach using the Orton-Gillingham approach, which involves hands on learning as well as repetition and other visual and auditory styles. The classrooms are small, which lends to small class sizes--no more than about 5 in the lower school and no more than 9-10 in the high school. This allows teachers to be able to focus more attention on helping students in specific areas and give one-on-one attention where needed. The students learn all of the usual subjects--math, science, social studies, art, music, etc., but they also have daily lessons in Orton-Gillingham (OG), where they focus on learning and practicing letter sounds/blends, spelling, reading and how words are formed (morphology of words). This gives them a good foundation to be able to form thoughts and sharpen skills in writing and reading. I highly recommend this school for any student who struggles with language/word recognition and speech.

Heritage Christian School: what do users think?
Roz Rankin: My daughter and I been apart of the Heritage Christian family for about a month now. We came from another private school (3 years) and public school (3 weeks), and all I have to say, I was the best decision yet. I drive 40 minutes to a hour each way and do regret one minute of it. At Heritage, my daughter has learned to be a disciplined, independent person, to love God, learning is fun, and not have to fear being bullied by other students or by her teachers. Every person in the Heritage community is very genuine. Not only do they take interest in the child, but the whole family.
Michael Johnson: Heritage is a place where the Administration, the Teachers, and the Staff are consumedwith taking a student where he is Academically, Spiritually, and Socially, and taking him farther than the student ever thought they could go.Students are loved not only while they are attending but also YEARS after they have graduated. My Soccer/Basketball Coach from 48 YEARS ago is STILL interested in what I am doing, how the Lord is working in my life, etc.. Being a "retired" Eagle has been a highlight of my life. I find myself thinking back to the MANY principles that HE taught.
April W: Our family loves this school! Our son was being bullied at public school so we gave Heritage a try and are extremely pleased. The teachers legitimately care about their students and the school has bent over backwards to accommodate our sons special needs. Academically Heritage's scores consistently surpass most of the other schools in the area, so we know he is getting quality education as well!
Scott Simpson: We are extremely pleased with HCS. Our 4 graduates of HCS were well prepared for college and excelled both academically and spiritually.
John Armes: I graduated from Heritage Christian School in 1974... The Bible verses I learned, the personal attention I was given by attentive and caring teachers, the Godly inspiration I received as a student helped form my Christian world view I have now... Thru my life's struggle between right and wrong even to today, what I learned at Heritage has been a benefit to me because God has been ground into my thoughts, actions, and my world view... Bible verses that I learned at Heritage seem to come back to me at times when I need them throughout my life... At times I was very rebellious, but the values I learned at Heritage help pull me back into submission to Christ... Why am I saying all this... You just can't say enough about a Christian education in a world of school shootings, immorality, and rebellious students... At a school like Heritage there is a lot less of it there... If you want your kids to grow up with Christian values and a Christian worldview than look no further than Heritage... My biggest review to Heritage is perhaps my life. A school like Heritage doesn't just teach kids about math, english, and science. It teaches kids how to think logically, morally, and Godly... It's schools like Heritage that teaches kids how to survive in a increasingly rebellious and permissive society, and that changes lives for the better... You learn things in Christian school that you won't learn in public school... I'll stake my life on it.....
Chris Sarver: We have several children at Heritage, and they love it there. Not only are they developing academically and intellectually, but they are also growing in their depth of character and love for Christ. As parents, we love HCS. The teachers deeply care about the students and are excellent educators as well!
Gary Roebbelen: My family is blessed to be part of Heritage. One son graduated from Heritage this year and went off to college, where he was fully prepared for everything that came his way. My other son (a junior) is thriving with great friends, challenging extracurriculars (robotics and orchestra), small classroom sizes, and caring faculty and staff.
Kenton Brittny: Wonderful school!
Tami Crabtree - HS Guidance Counselor: HCS teachers really care and go the extra mile for students!
Abbey Cole: We are new to HCS this year but have been amazed at how quickly the HCS community welcomed our family and made us feel right at home!
John Rihani: Our oldest has been at Heritage for the past three years (in her fourth) and we've had an overwhelmingly positive experience. Caring teachers who are invested in the lives of their students, rigorous academics, and an environment in which God is at the center - these are all the reasons we continue to invest in HCS. Our youngest will start her journey next fall!
Erin Byrne: I went to Heritage for 12 years and absolutely loved it. Receiving a Christian education was one of the biggest gifts my parents gave me. The teachers there are like none I have ever heard of from other schools. They genuinely care about you, your grades, and personal life. It isn't just a job to them. Now I am a sophomore in college and I can tell you the English department at Heritage specifically prepared me in a HUGE way for college and professional-level expectations. I am so glad I went to Heritage and would not have wanted to go anywhere else. Heritage offers academic, spiritual, social, and athletic opportunities like no other school. With the recent articles saying that Heritage is the best college-prep school in Central Indy, I'm not surprised at all. I would highly recommend considering this school for your child if you are trying to choose.
HCS Class of 2007: Go eagles!
Jan Eyster: I taught at Heritage in various roles for 18 yrs. There is a sense of family among the staff and a love for their students. Subjects are taught with a Biblical Worldview. They have various options available for educational support as well: Learning Differences, Gifted-Talented, Assisted Study Hall and Search and Teach, to name a few.My son graduated from HCS in 2015, and my daughter just graduated in May (2017). Heritage will always hold a special place in my heart.-Jan (Pickrell) Eyster
Karla Katterhenry: I love Heritage Christian School with its emphasis on a Christian education as well as its academic excellence. HCs teachers exhibit Christ's love in their daily lives, thus setting examples for their students to follow! My two sons attended Heritage Christian School, and now six of my grandchildren attend there. What a blessing they are receiving in all aspects of their lives. While they are learning about God's plan for their lives, our whole family is growing in our love for the Lord! Heritage's loving caring teachers offer guidance for all students regardless of their learning abilities. I highly recommend Heritage Christian School for any and all students!!
Garrien Sharp: Don't like that school
Toni Wohl (Toni W.): My granddaughter has gone to this school since K. I am so grateful that they are able to keep her intellectually challenged - almost making a custom program. She loves the school and I love it for her! I highly recommend this school for anyone seeking to have a challenging, Christ-centered curriculum that will help their child/grandchild grow into someone of which to be proud.
Grant Timms: Awesome school teachers are the best and are always looking out for you. The Best
Roni Ely: My son went there in 5th grade. Precious boy that was so kind and gifted. The bullying that went on was horrible. Years later it has still played a role in his confidence, his teacher was on adder all and many of the kids in that classroom were on some type of medication. To say the least it was a grieving situation. I would never suggest it as a Christian role model.
Ethan Zeronik: I go here and it has school spirit and the best range of stellar classes out there

Deblina Sharma: I am extremely happy with the school. The teachers are great, really like the curriculum and my daughter just loves it. She will be going to Grade 3 this year and I am happy with the foundation the school offers. Trinity Christian School: what do users think?
nike gal: i attended, what i thought was my child's Graduation on Thursday.that actually turned straight into a church sermon performed by pastor David Comer.now i am not trying to be negative in anyway, but i was coming to see my child graduate, not going to a church sermon.a sermon which he spoke more of his child then our own children who was there for (they're) Graduation ceremony's.LETS NOT FORGET to mention that every single person in the place was respectfully wearing a mask to prevent the spread of Covid 19 ,EXCEPT (Pastor Comer) and ONE other member of the schoolchurch.i am confused on what made them the special ones who felt they was not to wear the mask (like everyone else).anyway at the end of the day, in the future, maybe you will consider keeping your Sermon and Graduation separate . so others wont feel forced to sit through one or the other. have a nice day.
Liz: My kids love it here!! I love that they teach Gods word!
Hattie Moore-bradley: Grandson is a student here. The staff are Christians and my grandson is free to pray if he choose to, without repercussion. It's a church as well and I've visited a couple time and enjoyed it. More holistic, all our needs in one buildingThe principal and pastor are wonderful.
Elizabeth Whitney: Myself and my children grew and are growing with this school.
Maggie Codina: Great school
