New Beginnings Computer Training: what do users think?
Byron Clark: Excellent
Evan Schafer: You get out what you put in. I worked hard, so I learned a lot. It's that simple. Very, VERY nice and helpful staff!
Noah Kade: I wrote a post about new beginning's 2 months ago, the first week I started. In the beginning it seemed legit and a good course. After going through the entire course I feel cheated. They charge the government almost $4,000 for your enrollment and all you get is a book that cost them $20 and they pay for one Udemy subscription that all the students log onto to watch courses. You literally watch videos for two hours in class then you study practice questions that's based on the A+ exam for the last two hours. There's no teaching, no teachers and really no help. Everytime I would ask the "instructor" a question they would say I don't know and look it up on Google. They have a great scam going on ripping off the government grants for people. That's my honest opinion.
Snoopy Ryks: Great training.. Great experience..
noah sexton: Teachers are great and they help with job placement. Their program guarantees you will get your certification, as long as you do the work. You get out what you put in. Simple as that.
Jai Eyster: I started here on time. The classes r very well taught. This school gives u the tools to move onto a great career. You have to participate. I love New Beginnings.. the staff is incredible n very helpful. I just passed my IC3 working on my CompTia A+.Here everyone students n staff work together. If u have a question or a situation. So far this school has gone above n beyond.. If it is computer training u r looking for.New Beginnings is very much a good choice.Thank u.Jacqueline Eyster

Kenzie Academy: what do users think?
Brittney Davis: Update: Reached out to the email they provided in the comment below and forwarded them my previous attempts of communication. I will update when they respond. There are better schools out there for the price that this start up charges. The classes are taught by all former students, very odd. The quality of this program was less than what I had received at a local community college, the first week was really disorganized. While actively teaching instructors were having issues with basic computer skills so odd that this is who will be teaching you how to code. I persisted with the course because it was paid for by my employer. With just a few weeks before graduation it was announced that there was a cut off day for turning in any assignments we were also given the chance to redo old ones to improve our grade. Great news so I worked hard to try and get my grade up then all of a sudden before the cutoff date with no warning I was blocked on all their systems and no one ever responded to my emails. I received no explanation even months later after many emails sent. My grade had dropped due to a death in the family and myself getting covid, both issues I had made my teachers aware of and they were willing to work with me on more time on assignments but during that time was when someone blocked me from all the systems and online classroom. I was only a few percents away from passing.
Isis McMullan: This review is for Admissions - I contacted them at the beginning of January (Jan 6) and was interested in enrolling. The first call went really well, I felt confident this would change my life. Once I was transferred to Admissions and was speaking to a counselor, that's when things started to get really flaky. I had told her that I wanted to enroll before March so I would have time to make changes in my schedule and plan ahead. She immediately started telling me that I had time and not to worry. So I started doing my paperwork and then I got a call back that the form was wrong (it was a mistake on their end) and I would have to do a new one. I expressed my frustration because it was now February and I was nowhere near getting enrolled. I reminded her that I needed to be enrolled before March and she, again, told me I had time because school doesn't start until April. In an attempt to speed things up, I re-did the forms and submitted them and the rep scheduled an appointment. Mind you, she's already rescheduled me 3 times. So now I have an appointment and the forms are all complete. I've done everything on my end. The day came and went and she never called. This was Feb 13. She finally called me TWO days ago. March 9, asking me if I were still interested in the program. When I expressed my dislike of the situation she responded with attitude and hung up on me. Maybe they did me a favor. If this was the way they handle admissions, what was actual school going to be like? Don't settle for less. You matter. Most people, like myself go into debt seeking an education. If the school is going to take that for granted, look for a better school.
Demian Jennings: Kenzie gave me way more than I expected. Besides the curriculum, the career services team was excellent. They really helped me revamp my whole digital presence and resume. The Cybersecurity curriculum helped me to secure a new job one month after graduating! They truly changed my life!
Nicolas Howell: Regardless of my previous feelings, they are graduating people I know into well paying jobs. The one star was not warranted so I'm bumping it.--------Update: Based on new information the program has changed drastically since I participated. Being bought by a University, crunching to a 9 month program, and being fully online has rendered it little different than any other boot camp. I'm wildly disappointed by this news and can no longer endorse it in it's current form.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Amazing staff of incredibly motivated and knowledgeable people. They have a solid base of mentors from local companies as well as local sponsors that are invested in their success. They focus on project based learning to get hands on experience to the students and provide opportunities for consulting work on real projects starting in the second six months that you're there. Overall it's been a great experience so far and I'm looking forward to the future.
Dee Loud: DO NOT GO HERE! This school will not return multiple phone calls and emails after failing their student ( with no notification, just deletes them so they no longer have access to anything) who had passing grades, was even listed in the slideshow that showed the passing students, then wants to collect THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN LOAN MONEY, this place is a scam in my honest opinion!! Beware!!!!!!!
Joseph Baker: If you ask a teacher for help they’ll point you to google or send you a link instead of explaining it to you like a human being. You might as well self- teach. The instructors are super vague. They give you riddles and point you in the direction, instead of actually teaching you with multiple examples. They’re rarely available to help and if they do like I said it’ll probably be super vague and unhelpful. They also spend more time explaining analogies than the actual coding. Ex: “ 1 apple +1apple = 2apples” instead of just saying 1+1=2 and providing multiple examples and use cases for 1+1=2. They’ll talk for 30 minutes and only 17 of them be about coding and then you have to decipher through the videos to find what you were looking for. You will NEVER get a direct answer. Not even close to being worth $20,000. SELF-TEACH!
Zachary Johnson (poser): I came to this School knowing nothing about Front End Development and I am leaving fully confident that I can find a job in Tech. No Joke, this school feels like a family and they encourage not only learning how to code but how to learn which will take you farther then anything!. If you are on the fence about committing to this school, do it! I don't think that you can find a more fitting school for some one to network with like minded people and learn some new skills!! Worth Every Penny!!!!
Ronald Jarnagin: I dropped out of this school after a few weeks because I wasn’t being taught or helped. Everything I learned had to be done myself. When I left the school after 2 or 3 weeks I was told I needed to pay $5,000 for the first quarter anyways. They didn’t even let me finish out the first quarter… huge disappointment.
Brayle: I was very excited to join Kenzie Academy for Software Engineering. The first red flag that I should have caught on to is when I asked if Amazon helped pay for Kenzie they told me that Amazon does help. Then after I get enrolled they tell me that the program I enrolled in is not payed for by amazon and it is a different program, come to find out Kenzie is not payed for at all by Amazon, Kenzie just was sponsored by Amazon to make a program for Amazon ATA. They say that they are flexible to full time employees and parents but they are NOT. If you are obviously struggling and need more time they just tell you to make more time since there are 24 hours in a day. If you are struggling they do not reach out and offer help, instead they threaten to remove you from the program. Yes, they do offer a Q&A and other things to help you out every week, but they are always during business hours and not everyone can make it to those meetings. You are paying $20,000 to teach yourself coding for a year while having constraints.
taNr leMn.: Kenzie changed my life. I was having a very hard time staying afloat, but Kenzie provided a bridge into the tech world and a high paying salary.
Akil Mac: It was a pleasure over coming my fears. Kenzie showed me what I am capable of when I put in the work. I also learned how to learn which will carry me into the future. The grade isn't the main indicator of success and retention of knowledge.
Noah Camara: I'm graduating from Kenzie next week. I would highly recommend this program to anyone interested in getting into software development. I did the Full Stack Software Engineering program.Pros: The staff was very supportive, instructors explained things very well, and tutors were available to help if we had questions or issues. You can also start working part time as a tutor later on in the program, which only paid $15/hr at the time (late 2021, early 2022), but was still a great opportunity to reinforce concepts and beef up your resume. Although I never tried it out, they offer therapy sessions once a week as well through a partnered company. This program teaches the basics very well, so you'll have a good foundation for your career.Cons: The career curriculum course was very useless. The same class was basically taught over and over again. You're better off working one on one with one of the staff rather than attending those classes. The second term of the course ("MERN 2") was also somewhat lacking. They don't teach the back-end very well, so you may have to focus on reinforcing some of those topics through self-study, like express endpoints, Mongoose, MongoDB and building a simple backend from scratch. However, no program is perfect, and if I had to do it again, I would definitely choose Kenzie. I made good friends in my cohort, facilitators were always patient and willing to help, and I learned skills that are high in demand. They just partnered with Amazon and SNHU acquired them last year, so Kenzie's most likely one of the top coding bootcamps in the country.
Ibrahim Kallon: Amazing educational facility. If you're looking to break into tech without spending so much money or going to a 4-year college program, Kenzie is the right fit! The support system at Kenzie is one that I've never seen before, not even at a 4-year institution.Appreciate all the teams and faculty members at Kenzie!
green dragon: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueAmazing Personal, Tons of information and learning, feel like a totally different person now. my advise, let them teach you.
R Jones: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueKenzie Academy has changed my life. I have learned new skills, met wonderful people, and transitioned to a tech role a few months after graduating from the Web Development program. The entire Kenzie team has treated me like family and stayed with me through every step that has lead me to my goal. Thank you Kenzie - SNHU!
Azure Bryant: Don't do it. You are basically paying to teach yourself how to code. Also, I withdrew 2 weeks in and was told I have to pay 4,500.For 2 weeks!
Samantha Yanas: I don't understand the negative reviews. I came to the school with 0 expierence other than Myspace layout edits. I was working a job with only 28K a year. After completing the program I landed my first QA role starting at 45k a year 2 days after graduation, I'm also entolled into two FREE apprenticeship programs thanks to Kenzie! One with IBM and one with Chase! The opportunities are endless. It wasn't easy, they will not just hand you a career after you complete (just like any other education). If you're willing to put in the hard work it definitely pays off! All of the facilitators, and my corhorts were/are amazing people inside out! I've since completed, and started my career, but I'm still in contact with my mentors and have no plan on losing the communication. I have and do recommend my family/friends to this program if they're looking to get into the tech world!
Nisha: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueI love the positive attitude from my recruiter mentors. They always pushed me to keep networking and applying. Every day, checked up on my progress and told me to not give up! That is priceless!!
Candi Smith: I received an a congratulations email stating I was accepted into the program for January 2022. Naturally, I was excited and told my family and friends. Then I get a text from the recruiter stating he got two scores from me and it needed to be cleared up in a scheduled phone call. Ok, what’s going on? Naturally I wanted some answers because according to the recruiter, I didn’t get accepted after all. Is this place legit because I get an acceptance letter then I was told I wasn’t accepted all along and never even received a phone call plus my recruiter is ignoring my emails! How unprofessional! I’ll be taking my complaint to the Better Business Bureau.
David Fidler: They advertise that you won't pay anything unless you make $40,000/annually. However, after talking with an individual at Launch Servicing (the company where the ISA will go through). You only get a 48 month (4 year) forbearance. Following that forbearance, your payments will be based on your current income regardless. That comes across as misleading to me. Especially considering what I was told during my initial phone call.
Heavenly Joy: Critical:QualityThe worst decision that I’ve ever made.

MyComputerCareer: what do users think?
Kevin: My experience was less than ideal. It started off fine then a couple months in I had an issue getting a code or 'golden ticket' for one of the test to work. After talking to my mentor and being told that I must be doing something wrong and then proving to him it wasn't me. They passed it on to someone else who never reached out to help. Every time I would bring it up one of the people who are in contact with you they all would be perplexed, rightfully so, and say such and such would be in contact. No one ever helped and at that point I was checked out. They did help me get a job but after 90 days on that job they're pretty much done with you. My career services person left and the new person never reached out again after. Just to add some context I was an online student and all tests were done online because this was during the height of Covid.Edit: the person who responded to this clearly didn't read what I said.
Lexio: This school is a TOTAL SCAM AND I really feel sorry for myself and whoever's attending this school. On my very first day of school, there was zero Introduction to what we're supposed to be learning. The instructor just sat down on a chair and just started showing poor organized PowerPoint slides, he didn't even introduced himself as an instructor, came to find out as we were physically in class he was also on zoom with 60+ students. Right??! And this is not the worst part. the worst part was, even though we were in campus physically, students also have to be on zoom for the whole entire class watching everything that the instructor is doing right in front of them, there was about 10-15 questions left unanswered. I mean of course he would not get to every questions because there's way too many students online and in class. I mean in that case I think that everybody should've picked online classes. It was absolutely outrageous for me . Oh and guess what? After paying these enormous amount of money to get the certifications you're gonna be told to rely on GOOGLE and YOUTUBE for most of the time because and I quote "not everybody knows all the answers!" LOL These people do not know of what they're teaching. I would suggest that you look another place else. Do not go to this school just to waste your HARD EARNED MONEY. Make sure you do your research wisely, they will blow you away with their fake promises and their lies just to suck you dry they'll tell you everything you want to hear show you fake information you want to see. THEY SUCK AND TERRIBLE ( Especially for their Administrative advisors
Joel Sieferman: Great school with plenty of resources, for students to quickly earn their certifications on time.
flutegirl20111: MyComputerCareer Indy provides an awesome experience! From the front desk folks to the advisors and career services, they are excellent. Great program and such friendly people!
Brennan Barnes: I haven't even attended MCC and I am seriously doubtful I could even attend. I signed up to speak to a advisor and came down with Covid so i was unable to meet the zoom call with said advisor. Since that missed zoom call I have had more than one person from the campus call me between four to five times a day.....a day. It felt like a creditor was calling me, like my cars extended warranty needed to be spoken of. I mean what the heck is the reason to bombard someone's phone like that? If you're tasked with calling someone and they don't answer once don't call four more times that day. It's off putting and very stressful. Get yourselves together.
Nick Davidson: Critical:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
YellowTurtle7: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
Chris Douglas: I went here when it was on the north side of Indy off of Purdue drive graduated twice from there. Once as an ITSA and then as an ITSS as an registered ethical hacker. I recommend anyone who love to work on or with computers or that wants to start on a new path to check them out they are amazing and if you put in the effort they will also and help you for life. I just want to say a huge thank you to MyComputerCareer for helping me get where I am today and helping me get what I needed to start my Computer repair and IT business.
Jack Stone: The program is certification based and get's to the point. I'm currently just passed midpoint and love the time I've spent with MyCC. You will be tested and rewarded. I would recommend this course to anyone. The staff makes you feel comfortable diving into the unknown and the admissions process is spot on. The guys and girls will get you into the program fast and seamlessly. If you are just starting out in I.T. or if you have a experience this is a great program for learning the basics of the field.
Julian Franklin: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueEveryone is amazing and truly cares about you succeeding and become a better version of yourself
Utah Kinsey: Positive:Communication,ProfessionalismMyCC went above and beyond in spite of the pandemic to help me obtain certs and knowledge. Their staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Their career services department is something I wish was available to all schools.
Allen Hamilton: Critical:Value
The Orenders: MyCC of Indianapolis Campus has some great people who really care about your success. The Information Technology Security and Administration (ITSA) curriculum covers all of your basic needs and a few more. There is a lot of certifications (9) to cover in a short amount of time and it is fast and furious. One course right after the other. Whether your able to come to campus or online, day time or night time MyCC does have you covered. You are able to take a certification exam up to twice during the course work within 2 weeks of completing a course. The hard part is you are also working on the next course! So study during the weeks you are in classThe only short falls about MyCC is the cost. I truly wish they had an al la carte option because some courses are outdated due to CompTia NOT updating the tests within the 3 years. If you are a veteran and have the Post 9/11 then you are eligible for housing (amount depends on whether you are on/off campus). Also, as a veteran that choose to do on campus, you also had to study on campus during MyCC hours due to VA requirements. The big advantage to this is that you could ask either the flex instructor or a teacher that is on campus (if they are NOT giving a class). The big disadvantage is that I also worked during the day, so I was limited by my work hours and closing of MyCC campus at night which was around 2220 (10:20PM) (M-TH) and 1600 (4PM) Friday (times may change so ask).Overall, the experience wasn't bad and you could leave MyCC with between 0 to 9 certifications (that number is determined by you). Look at the time it will take you to complete the courses, if you work, if you have a family, if you have other obligations, then your time for study will be reduced. On the other hand, ensure you understand the obligations you currently have and schedule time for it DAILY. Whether you are studying through videos, reviewing questions, going to class it is completely doable. Let the people around you know what your intentions are and you will see that they will root for you. It is a lot of hours to cover, but will be well worth in the end.
Michael Jones: Having been both a student and an employee I can say that MyCC exceeded all of my expectations. As a student I found the course material was both easy to follow and understand. My Instructors all did amazing jobs at delivering the content of the courses and were both extremely helpful and caring about each and every student. As an employee upper management leaves something to be desired but on a Campus level I couldnt have asked for a better group of coworkers. Highly professional and loving towards each other as well as students and prospective students. 10/10 would attend more classes and seek future employment with them again
Brent Ralston: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueI enjoyed the positive environment that came from the campus, instructors and staff. Even when we went online the positive vibe was still alive just thru my TV. My experience will definitely change my life!
james isom: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueWonderful school great to work with and they are awesome
tyler hutcheson: Attending MyCC has been an overall good experience. The Instructors have all been very knowledgeable and able to get the information across clearly. The transition from the campus to online classes were seamless, the career services department helps with resume building, interview prep. and appear to really try to place you in a job that you are suited for. I would recommend MyCC to anyone who is looking to get a job started in the IT field or looking to advance your current position IT
