Community Cancer Center North: what do users think?
Brittney R: This facility makes it VERY hard for mothers with no child care or support to be seen. They refuse to see anyone with their children with them no matter how important the reason they need to be seen is. I understand the protection of immunocompromised patients but the hematology team should have other locations to be seen if that is the case!
Michael Goodin: Wildly unprofessional building and office staff. It doesn't matter how good the doctors are if you can't get in to see them
Jim J: Absolutely top notch friendly associates that help you through with as little stress as possible in your difficult time! I was at another cancer center on North Meridian and 116th street for over a year. Four major mistakes were made that woul of caused me my life had i not had Mayo clinic involved. I had to go elsewhere so Community North was the obvious choice knowing they are partners with MD Anderson in Houston.
K shumaker: These people are the best they help from the front door till we get back in the car to go home. I love all of them THANK GOD FOR YOU ALL
LeighAnn Bonelli: I wouldn't be here today without the wonderful people from the Cancer center. The Nurses are the most caring profesional people I have ever met.
Shawnda Justme: I don’t feel I was giving the right info for my father. When I asked will he make it? I was giving false hope and would have never started chemotherapy if I knew the truth about my father. Everyone is extremely nice especially Hannah but I do feel the doctors wasn’t very truthful with me at all!!!
Chris Prather: I've had stage 4 colon cancer for 8 years and was seeking a different opinion a little over 2 years ago. They gave me a list of different doctors and I chose Dr. Parshad. Dr. Parshad is on top of her game and knows all the most up to date treatments. She is very kind and is a pleasure to talk with. I read all about various treatments and options for stage 4 colon cancer. Then I talk with Dr. Parshad about the different chemo treatments. What I really like about her is she tells me if the medicines are good or no good and is very honest about it. She has done wonderful work with my cancer up to this date. Dr. Parshad has a Nurse Practitioner named Allison and I love her. Allison is very kind, funny, and uplifting. For some reason my emails would not go thru to her. Allison gave me her personal number to contact her if I have any problems. Everytime I text or call she answers in a timely manner and takes care of the problem. The nurses here are top notch and just are great. They are caring, compassionate, very uplifting and always take care of my needs. I have a deeper port in my chest and it can be a pain at times to access it and draw blood. They have never missed my port in 2 years. I had an allergic reaction to a chemo drug everything started to swell up. Within seconds nine nurses were in my room and had everything back under control in probably less than 10 minutes. They had me back to normal in that short of time. I love the nurses there! My nurse navigator Beth is always there for me if I have a question or concern. She has taken care of a few minor issues. I had a question about a chemo pump and procedures and emailed Brian the Director in Pharmacy. Didn't figure I would hear from him for a while as they are very busy. Within 10 minutes I had an email from Brian, just very professional and efficient and provided the answers I was looking for. The staff from the front desk, Brenda and Kelly to Shea who calls you back to get you situated taking weight, bp, temp and oxygen or the custodian Susie who does a great job and always nice to talk to. Susie also was one of the 1st people back to my room when she heard I was having a reaction to the medicine. I have been very pleased and have referred a couple of friends to Community Cancer Center. They were also pleased with the answers the doctors and staff provided them with. Thank you, Community Cancer Center North for taking care of me these past two plus years.
Rick Ford: Very nice personel on my visit. We will see if they can cure my cancer.
Linda Grosser: I am a nurse practitioner and a patient at Mayo Clinic. I have a very rare condition. I am part of a study at Mayo and need my blood drawn every 3 months to determine my treatment plan.I saw Dr. Walling at Community North Cancer Center for the 1st time this week. She said she could work with Mayo since they are the leading experts in my condition. Maybe worldwide experts as well.I told her I needed to have blood drawn and sent to Mayo soon. The previous results from local labs were so off, that I was told to have additional imaging that wasn’t needed. The lab info was simply very inaccurate. Dr. Walling said she knew that results could be very different from various labs and acknowledged that using the Mayo lab was the best thing to do.When I asked her clinic to draw my blood and allow me to take it to FED EX to have shipped overnight on dry ice, the answer was that it was against their policy. When asked why, no one could give me a reason. I even offered to supply the dry ice. When asked to have Dr. Walling call me, she had a nurse call me to say “No!”In a previous position, as a nurse practitioner, I shipped specimens on dry ice to the NIH (National Institute of Health) for a research project. I know all too well the disappointment of the researchers and damage to a project when specimens arrived late and with melted ice.I was told to go to MACL or Labcorp. These labs don’t just draw blood to be sent elsewhere for processing. They refused to help me. They want to process the labs themselves. It seems to be a financial issue. So, if you are looking for a place where your medical needs will be met and you will be dealt with in a honest manner, in my experience this is not the place to go. This office and provider need to wake up and put a person’s medical needs at the top of their list. Not to mention - where’s the customer service, where’s the opportunity to establish a doctor-patient relationship? We live in an age where BIG data is used to determine the best course of treatment for patients. For rare diseases, places like Mayo need to have consistent and accurate data to treat people so you and I and your family will have the best chance for a quality life and someday a cure. That is why consistent and accurate lab results matter and this is why this is such a BIG deal for me and EVERYONE else.Vote with your feet. Chose a place for your care that can meet your medical needs no matter how big or small this is. Go to a place where you will be dealt with honestly and where you are important enough to be treated as an individual and not as a policy that no one understands.
Sharon Eickhoff: My father was a patient there for several years. He had terminal lung cancer, and the doctors, practitioners, nurses, and others treated my dad like family. He completely trusted Megan, who was with him every step of the way! She would answer his emails promptly and could reassure him when he felt at his worst. She was my dad's angel! My family and I are going to be forever grateful for the quality time she and the others gave to us to be with our dad.
Lanette Hobbs: Staff are very nice and professional. Dr. Lowery(Gynecological Cancer Center) is a fantastic doctor. Very down to earth guy, and will sit and explain everything to you. They always get me in on time, and I am not there very long. That is very much appreciated. Very nice facility. The gentlemen that was a volunteer in the lobby was so friendly, and helpful. Here are the two reasons I gave four stars, instead of five. When we came in February, they did not tell me in the apt reminder phone call that children under 18 were not allowed upstairs due to flu restrictions. Had my husband not been with me, I would have had to turn around and drive back home without being seen. An hour there and an hour back. That was very frustrating. I wanted him to be able to speak to Dr. Lowery, but he had to stay in the lobby with our two children. Also, if you want to apply for financial assistance, they require three months of bank statements. That is none of their business, and I feel that is a bit much. Sounds like a good way to keep people from applying for financial aid. I agree with the other documentation required(pay stubs and tax forms), as most other hospitals do.
shamepane martin: First time bringing a client to community north cancer center. Everyone we interacted with were Professional, passionate, caring staff. Sam the nurse was phenomenal the entire time. The volunteer ladies kept bringing us snacks and smiles.
Rayven Bell: Beautiful facility. Compassionate people. Excellent practitioners. Everything about this place is designed to support cancer patients and caregivers.

Community Cancer Center South: what do users think?
steve eastburn: Dr. Bedano prescribed an antibiotic to me. Within 5 days my tendons in my ankles had stiffened to where I couldn't walk. That was 7 weeks ago. Spent two weeks basically in a chair. Still cannot walk without pain. Had my family doctor and a pa tell me this was a side affects in people over 60 and I should have been warned. I found a new doctor to replace him.
Claire Clark: The nursing staff is absolutely incredible!
Paul: It seemed my wife's stage one breast cancer was being treated by amateurs. All's well that ends well I suppose.
Yo Momma: Life saver
Susan L: I had very professional service and care at my first appointment and at all subsequent appointments
Angie Jobe: Besides my ENT Doctor this place saved my life.
Deb Walls: Wonderful staff!

IU Health Joe & Shelly Schwarz Cancer Center: what do users think?
Gloria Tapscott: I felt comfortable talking with the people, nurses, the doctor
James Delroy: Here is a story of a “BAD APPLE”.Everyone I have met or interacted with at the Schwarz Cancer Center has been WONDERFUL except “MIMI the red head” who sits at the front registration desk just inside the front doors! She has to be the rudest most impolite person I have EVER met in a professional environment. There are ways of dealing with patients and patient’s families to get them to do what you want them to BUT being rude and impolite are NOT one of them! 4 stars because SHE is a Bad Apple, I just hope she doesn’t ruin the rest of you!
pinktatoo1961 pt: Everyone was patient and kind. They treated me very well and I would highly recommend this place.
Ange Cahoon: Friendly, detail-orientated, thorough and caring cancer treatment and care. I've been working with the Schwarz Cancer Center team for a year and have experienced great communication, respect and options. These are all phenomenal attributes in the fight against cancer.
Cindy Ratchford: Such a wonderful, caring facility. We started our cancer journey in IL with another doctor. There is no comparison to the attention, detailed care that my husband received. All nurses cover for the primary nurse in all medications, etc. one on one attention, lunch served, snacks, drinks. Clean and up to date. Meds were double checked by another RN. Pharmacist came by for any questions. Wonderful experience in a time of trauma.
RICHARD WEIS: I had chemotherapy treatment at the center. From the time you walk in the door until you leave you are welcomed and treated in a very professional and caring manner.
Moving Forward: So I brought my mom here for blood work!PLEASE BE AWARE!!! Why sitting here I have repeatedly heard the woman at the front desk make fun of the patients at the front desk.JUST WRONG ON SO MANY LEVELS
quinn ray: I had chemo and radiation at the same time and I can say the staff did an outstanding job in their professionalism and expertise in administering my treatments. I never had to wait more than a few minutes and felt like every single person who I interacted with was courteous and knowledgeable. Best of all is that my first 2 post treatment scans are negative.
Cassie Robert: I took my friend for an infusion. While I was there there were multiple patients who had waited more than two hours to see a doctor. The doctor had reportedly double booked patients. This in unforgivable. IUtime to wake up and get real with customer service
