It includes techniques for sciatica pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, necks, shoulders and lower back pain.
This is a hands-on program with practical applications. It illustrates the Reflexology points in the feet, ears, hands, body, and how they correspond to various body points. It stresses energy balancing techniques, body realignment, metamorphosis and neuro-muscular re-education.
The Academy of Reflexology and Health Therapy International is where eastern and western cultures and therapies meet and blend to provide a holistic view of healing in every program we offer.
Emphasis is place on providing a curriculum which trains individuals in effective methods of health care and prepares them to be a successful Health-Care Practitioners. This school provides special opportunities to students for personal growth.

Toby Sellers: Price went from $25 to $60 then they also charged you for the credit card fee on top of the price so the $60 is not $125. When I pulled out the 20 dollar bill for tip she pulled out a sign that said she would like a 20%tip and I told her that I was not aware of the price change since it was not posted on the website. Massage was good but a little pricey! Most likely will not be back.
Gaude Hughes: They were excellent. Just the right amount of pressure and double checked to ensure they wasn't causing pain or discomfort. Hot stones were my fav.

Daniel Petty: Okay, I've been twice in the last 3 weeks already. The first time my back was just tore up, I had trouble climbing out of bed because I had so many muscles knotted up and cramped from all the heavy lifting at work. I got in there, there was an Asian gentleman who didn't speak any English that I could tell except the words, " okay sir?". I had to point out that I wanted the 90-minute massage, a mixture of deep tissue and hot stones.... And the guy was fantastic! He did more for me than any chiropractor ever has. I walked out of there feeling like a new man. And I'll admit, I was a little disappointed at first because one of the reasons I picked this place was a prior review that talked about the pretty Asian girls that were also skilled massage therapists. So before the massage I was a little disappointed. Anyway, I went back two weeks later, it was a different guy (not a pretty Asian girl LOL), and I got a 60 minute deep tissue, and a 30 minute foot and calf. And this guy was also fantastic! In fact, I would go as far as to say these might have been the two best massages I've ever had, and I've had quite a few. And you can't complain about the price at all! Definitely five stars!!

There weren't enough towels to cover our bodies and the lady that gave me my massage spoke on the phone two times while she was massaging me just so uncool. I didn't leave a tip and it's the first time that I haven't left a tip I've been going there for about 10 years first I was going to the one in Irvington. I don't know if they just disrespect us because we're american.

La L0k¡t4: I've been to this location several times. The last visit, though, I decided I would not be returning. I had purchased an hour-long deep tissue massage. I asked the gentleman to please do it more deeply/intensely twice but he didn't meet my needs. I always give a decent tip, but when he took my card to charge me for the purchase he asked how much I wanted to give him. I said "$5" (for a $70 massage). He told me that tips are minimum 20% so I had to give him $10 for a tip. I had never heard this before here and it is stated nowhere in the facility that I am aware of. So, I got a low quality massage and was forced to pay more than what I feel was fair for a tip. He was lucky I wanted to leave any money at all out of common courtesy. They've lost a semi-regular customer.

I’ve had a lot of test done and two sets of steroid injections in various areas. I explained everything to Li and he worked on me. I’ve had two massages with Li and I’ve improved close to 50% so far. I will continue to have Li help me. He is amazing!This massage place is great!

Julia Marie: Disclaimer: I only went inside but did not receive serviceI came inside hoping for a massage. I waited 10 minutes, but no one came to greet me, so I left. The inside was well kept, had a comfy couch and relaxing music. It appeared clean and well maintained.I have attached a picture of their current prices. They have a tip smiley face sign that I found very off putting and honestly rude. A 30 min foot massage is $40, and they write that $10 to $15 is only one "happy face" yet that would be over 20% - I feel this is pushy and it made me uncomfortable.They also have a large fish in a tank that I feel is not large enough for it. I think this is cruel. Taken, many Chinese places tend to have even larger fishes in the same size of tank; it definitely is not the most egregious example I have seen, but still it made me feel really sad for the fish and I didn't feel like giving them my business. Especially compounded with my wait and the tip score chart.

Income: a month agoGreat services but I have to give this a one star rating because of being pressured to leave a tip every visit. I don't like that especially when I'm spending big money daily there. I tip what I can, Every visit doesn't require a tip. And then when you leave a tip let's say $15 they say it's not enough, After I have spent almost triple that in massage time. They can't speak a lick of english but tip. They have pushed me to the point where I have discontinued my business there.
Marcia Gill: NEVER AGAIN! I called on Thursday and made appointments for 2 people on Saturday at 5 p.m. for 90 minutes massages. We live an hour and a half away. We arrived Saturday at 4:40 p.m. The guy asked if we were there for our 5 p.m. appointment and I told him yes. We sat down and waited. After sitting there and waiting for 20 minutes he told us it would only be a 60 minute massage because they were too busy. We were the only people in there. He said to come back tomorrow if we wanted 90 minutes. Very rude and unprofessional. We had been there in the past with no problem. We walked out and will never go back.

Kobie Johnson: Today I went this place having been recommended by a colleague and ended up walking out. I asked for the 120min combination with a 60min body massage and a 60min foot massage. The body massage was first and the woman who gave the massage did a decent job. The issue and reason why I walked out was because my foot massage I was given another person and she started and stopped my foot massage because she kept answering phone calls and checking the door. I couldn't relax due to the starting and stopping. Not to mention I had a man snoring in the same room and the lady giving me my massage applied cold cream to my foot and calf. That gave me a shock. Then to top it off she tried to still charge me for a 30min foot massage which I didn't get a full 30min. I spoke up and said I should only pay for the body massage, which I did and gave that therapist a cash tip. I have to be honest and forthright about my feelings beyond that experience and that is I wonder if I was a human lacking melanin if that would have happened the way it did still? I'll never know at this point because I will never go back again.
Zachary Harrold: After a deep tissue, I feel better than I have in over 10 years! They are absolutely amazing. Very kind, respectful, fun, and polite. Prices are way better than anywhere else. I have a bad back that constantly hurts. I've had 2 back surgeries, 8 discs removed from my spine. I have permanent nerve damage and the pain shoots down my leg to my foot. I can honestly say that I forgot what puppies and rainbows felt like, but I am in heaven right now. The only regret I have, is not going sooner! I am already planning my next visit and I'm happier than a pig in poop.

Diann: Poor customer service on the management end. My booked and paid for service + gratuity was canceled the night before the service date via text. I was told I would receive a refund within a set amount of days. That did not come within those days. I was told the refund was sent. It was not received. I personally had to pursue this to finally get a refund. No follow-up response or apologies on the delay from management

The student I was with (Dustin) was incredibly professional and kept me engaged through the entire massage to make sure I was doing okay because he determined I could benefit from a mixture of techniques. Meredith Jones: The massage school is great for what it is. You can get an hour long massage for a fraction of the price of anywhere else. Of course that's because you are helping a student get experience. I've been many times over the years. I've had amazing massages and ok massages. You fill out an evaluation at the end and I think that definitely helps with the service you get. The massages are best for general relaxation. Despite the name, and the website says so, this is not a place to get an intense massage to relieve specific issues. Also note that the type of massage you get varies since students often have different styles of massage that they focus on/want to pursue. The hours are very limited. You can also book a "spa" appointment, which is with an instructor. Those are the full price you would pay at a regular spa or massage practice. I've done that a couple of times and gotten incredible massages. The instructors obviously know what they are doing.

As the other reviewer noted, it's a school, so these are students and you'll be asked to fill out an anonymous evaluation afterwards.I've been here maybe four times, and it's always relaxing. You get a full hour and the students communicate with you beforehand about what you want. It's no spa setting, but the rooms are quiet and calming, with salt lamps and gentle music playing. One time I went and the room was cold, but I mentioned it to them and it hasn't happened since. The massages have always been great. I think two of them were just perfect on their own, and two others changed their pressure when I asked, and it was great after that.If you get on their email list, you'll hear about last-minute openings at even cheaper rates. I think I paid $20 once. I always tip the students too.
