Options Behavioral Health Hospital: what do users think?
Cassidy Luther: Worst experience ever! I went there and the staff do NOT help at all. You aren't allowed to make friends. They made me sleep in the same room as a Skitsophrantic girl that told me and other patients that should would kill me or someone else in their sleep and refused to move me rooms. There was a lot of drama, The staff were extremely rude! To be honest being here made me want to end my life more then any other mental hospital I've been too, it took me so long to heal from the trauma I've experienced when being here! Please do not send your child here!
Shawna Arthur: Wonderful nice staff, nurses and doctors, therapists etc. I can’t thank everyone enough for helping me through a difficult time in my life. Shout out especially to Zubi, Annette, & tech aburdeen for all the advice, words of wisdom, and caring words or just being a listening ear when I needed it. It really helped to know someone cared. I really enjoyed the crafts we did it was my favorite.
Elisabeth Fletcher: The majority of the staff do not care about your children. My child was not allowed a toothbrush, comb or pillow because they ran out. They will allow you to speak to your child if they call and only for 5 minutes. There was also no communication between my child's caregivers and myself. My child felt in constant danger. I also know 6 separate kids from different units that showed instant withdrawal symptoms upon coming home when they weren't on anything to be withdrawaling from. STAY AWAY.
Kevin Ortiz: Had a close friend go there a couple of time. Let me tell you this place is horrible and they mistreat people. All they do is give people way too many pills that are not even necessary. My friends complain and complain and they ignore you and call you a liar.. wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody at all.
Kim Burns: 5 hours for intake.. my 13yo was transferred from our local ER after all the appropriate paperwork was faxed. It's absolutely ridiculous how unprofessional most of the workers were.
Desiree Branaman: Options is better than my last experience at IU Health Stress Center, but that’s not saying much. The number one issue here is communication. Below are some examples of my experience:1) they put me on a new medication Day 2. On day 5 they said unapologetically, “we don’t have that med in the building” and gave me an extra dose of the medication they were titrations me off of. The following day I reported this to the nurse practitioner (NP)- she called the pharmacy and confirmed they did have the medication and I was put back on it.2) this same meeting with the NP we discussed my concern with being on a med that apparently has a high monthly cost. I left thinking she would was switching me to another, more affordable medication. That night, there was no order for a new med. I asked about this new med the next day and she barked very quickly, “ I never said we would put you on a new med. I would need to extend your stay if I did.” I just backed off on this one. Since my stay under a week ago, my home psych did change my meds.3) I was told I would go home Thursday. Wednesday, I met with the NP and confirmed I would be released as scheduled. Under 20 minutes later (with no incident on my part), I was called into the therapist’s office and told, “so, we’re going to keep you until Saturday.” I asked why, and she reported she didn’t know why I was being held longer. Within an hour after this, some administrator decided to close my unit and separate everyone- which meant a new NP and therapist. I spoke with this new therapist the same day to STILL try to understand why I’m being held longer and why no one can tell me WHY. This new therapist didn’t know who I was (and said so, understandably) but looked in my notes and saw the NP that I had met with that day and confirmed I would be released, determined I should be kept for 2 weeks, with no reason in the note indicated. Apparently, Saturday was a compromise. No one to this day can tell me why this Np changed his mind within 20 minutes to keep me an additional 8 days. The next two days, staff would see me and say, “why are you still here?” No one knew why and I spoke to a lot of staff about this. For someone with a mental illness, I want greater self awareness. If someone wanted me to stay for 2 weeks I want to know why. That is also my RIGHT to know why they are keeping me. I filed a grievance and never heard anything about it. As an edit, I did receive a letter about my grievance. No one could tell me who decided to change my discharge date and gave a generic “it’s a team decision to give you more time to learn coping skills.” I refer you to point 5 below to understand how impactful that would have been….4) general rudeness my staff (certainly not ALL staff- but enough to feel treated like cattle and wonder what kind of training they get to work with people with mental illness). I saw them yell at someone with autism with statements like, “what’s wrong with you” or “stop talking to me” and walking away from people that needed help.5) not necessarily communication related but they do not stick to the schedule they claim to. “A day in the life” is three meals a day, meeting with a NP for 5-10 minutes, lots of people asking the same question about feelings of depression, anxiety, suicidal/homocidal thoughts, one 45 minute activity therapy and lots and lots and lots of time to smoke cigarettes, sleep, do nothing.I do have higher expectations based on my needs (BP, GAD, MD)- for some people I’m sure this experience was what they needed. For someone needing more than time to withdraw on drugs or to get their meds in order, it is not what is promised. I will say that better communication with me would have improved my experience in and out of Options considerably.
Icy_kingdom235: Options Behavioral Health Hospital ( You only reply to 5 Star witch is not many. How about work on fixing your process for taking care of your patience.mental health is a issue in this state and people come to your hospitalh to get help and your not helping
Amber Lynn9965: We were nervous to send our daughter to any facility but we were very happy with options. They were very helpful even when I was calling day and night . The only thing we struggled with was trying to get in touch with the therapist and getting information on the next steps but if you talk to the nurses they can answer a lot of your questions. Our daughter said everyone was really nice and the food wasn’t to bad she made friends and the nurses seemed like they cared for the children ! It was nice going to visitation and talking with other parents going through the same thing I really encourage you to talk to the other parents !
Tiffany Oiler: I hated this place. Overall the staff does not pay attention to your daily needs and that is upsetting. I do not recommend even going here if you are seeking help. They do not allow phones which I also don't like. I was screaming and crying for my phone so I could listen to my comfort music and they never gave me it. Please do NOT go to Options Behavior Health System. It is not worth it whatsoever.
Julia Petty: I kind of like working here. My best experience was that the HR manager and staffs responsible for scheduling are honest. Though I left Option 1 week ago with upset experience and forgot to clock out by the end of a shift, they paid me honestly. In addition, my unconfirmed bonuses by HR manager were paid as well. Honesty is the best character in anywhere, isn't it?
Claire: The tech are amazing, but some of nurses are just plain rude.
Aaron Stetzel: Life had me down and out. God sent me here guys give this place a chance. They performed miracles on me.
Apples Carter: I was at options back in 2008 company was nice bring back so many memories but I was there just as a runaway from Indiana didn’t really belong there at all but stuck it out everyday even tho I feel like I could of sued the state for placing me there with people that was not on my level fianally I got fed up ran away on home pass cases was dropped month later once I was 18
Emily Ruffles: The staff is very rude and unprofessional. Every time I called to speak to my husband, they were very ghetto, they would yell across the room for him, cussing and the whole nine yards. I called to ask about his discharge and the man I spoke to said they were doing an intake and didn't have time for this, and hung up on me. This was after they I had to stop them from telling me other confidential information. The first time I called, they wouldn't confirm or deny that he was there and demanded the 5 digit code. Every subsequent call after that, I was not asked for the code and was even given the code by the front desk when I told them I didn't have it with me but needed to get him a message. From his phone calls, the inside is the same. Very ghetto, and they follow the rules they want to, when they want to. This is not a good facility and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. If they treat people this way, and talk the way they do, none of them have any business working in the mental health field.
ashton cheyanne: Rudest operators ever. No one has been able to get any information or anything about a family member for 4 days now. How do you expect a SEDATED patient to know someone's number to call or know their medical id number for the PATIENT to give to their family/ emergency contact. Like make it make since. You should have a automatic information for any emergency contact or anything for the number at least😂 Like this is a JOKE.
Robyn Lee: The operator working today and yesterday has to be the rudest person I have ever dealt with. Not a comforting experience while trying to reach out to my son while he is going through a tough time.
Russell Roark: Well I imagine this review will probably expose some personal details that many people would generally not disclose in this forum however I believe sharing my personal experience may help folks get a glimpse at the care I experienced here and help people looking for treatment options for a loved one.I was fortunate during a recent "medical emergency" my family including a niece that works in the field helped get me placed here for treatment for PSTD, and Anxiety as my health had been declining the last several months. It had been my third placement in less that 30 days. I can't speak for all veterans but but I had thought I had my "Demons" under control, I am happy to have family that noticed I needed some help. The Transport was rather uneventful, although Kat or Joshua might commented otherwise. (They were an awesome transport Team. )It was a welcome change from the other places I had been recently. I noticed on the ambulance walls signs of hope and inspiration. I really was not looking forward to another intervention but I needed the rest.I knew I was headed to a decent place when a man, who I later become to known as "Russell" told me this is a "Good Place" and that "I would be okay here". I suppose he noticed my watchful, cautious looks as Kat and Joshua wheeled me in.Wow "Russell" was spot on! I have never witness such care in these facilities.A shoutout to the BHAs that are responsible for wellness, safety, movement between off unit activities (meals, recreational therapy, etc.) and Laundry! The last one in critical as most patients like me come with the clothes you have on your back. The BHA have the grunt work and like I said the BHAs at this place are a Dream Team sorry for the spelling but I will try to mention the whole Unit 6 BHA Team (you were all awesome even if I forget to mention you here! (Mikayla, Abideen, Tonnie, Shanika, Jacobi pronounced "Ya-Kobi", Ashley, Taylor, "Pro", sorry I know I forgot a few. Love you guys all the same! The Recreation Therapy Crew super talented Team (Molly, Nicki, and Mr. Brandon! The Nursing Staff.... Like the BHAs not sure how OOBH got such a wonderful mix of talent. Thanks for tolerating my shenanigans Love you guys!Therapist "Miss Robin". Dedicated.Therapist "Jim" only met him once awesome he lead a group on "motivation" very fitting for Jim.. I was Inspired by Jim's motivation! Thanks to the other members of the Admin and Therapy Staff.Did I mention the food AWESOME, thanks to "Paddi", "Kandice", "Sophia", "Jacob", and "Tamika"... did I miss anyone!Thank you to Janet at the front Desk for letting me drop off a few things, and letting me out again! To my Possey hope to run in to the crew at some point:Brother James, Brother Ryan, Brother Tryone and Joshua T. I trust all is Well!RespectfullyRusty.
Faith: Don’t send your kid here. This was the first mental institution I was at and it was awful. They woke up up at 3 in the morning to draw blood and they stuck for about 10 minutes before they realized it wasn’t working. The therapy did not help. They were really dismissive and did literally nothing. I was 15 when j went here and only stayed for a week because I complained how poorly they were treating me to my grandma and she took me somewhere else. Don’t send your kids here please
Brandy&Jacob Forever: okay, so my daughter just got released from options today. I want everyone to know this place is an absolutely terrible place. Do not let your child go to this place by any means. My daughter told us the staff was not concerned with any of the other kids their. We had several different issues with staff mainly the unit 1 adolescent unit therapist. We are as of tomorrow filing a claim against the administration and staff involved. The main thing is my daughter acted out through self harm and reported to staff and nothing was done. This place is about to be in for a ride. If you truly care for your kids as we do ours, do not let your kids go into the care of options behavioral health in Indianapolis. SHAKE MY HEAD 😞
Kayla Dailey: Staff would not communicate any details and we were told to stop calling to check on patient because they didn’t have time for us. Therapist told us that we could come pick them up and when I arrived they refused to let patient leave and stated that they were having a lot of issues with other people so he was basically being punished. Patient was sent to have medication regulated and changed. He was there over a week with no changes to medication. One therapist was cussing while talking to us and was friendly but extremely unprofessional. Unit was moved without notification. Dana, lied to us on the phone and when confronted about it in person was extremely unprofessional and rude and her supervisor wasn’t any better. Patient stated that the were rude to him while in their care and took things from him while coloring. Also stated that all he did was color and play uno. Therapist stated that during group sessions they rate their mood and if it wasn’t where it should be they just tell patients to reach out. He’s 12, he’s not going to seek help on his own. Paper work given during intake is filled with curse words on the worksheet given for a child. All paperwork also blames the patients. During one call, staff could be heard screaming back at patients. Over all, the place didn’t look to be the most sanitary, the staff are some of the worst people I’ve ever had to deal with, there was little to no communication with anyone, they aren’t treating anyone but will file extensions with insurance without notification and will make excuses not to let anyone leave. Do not send anyone you care about to this place.
Nichole Shelton: This facility keeps parents in the dark about what is going on. We cannot get a therapist/counselor to call us back and let us know anything. I know we cannot know what was said in the session, but would should know what the next steps are going to be, some kind of plan for her well being! There was a disturbance during phone hours, so I was never able to talk with my child to see if she was ok. It seems more like a jail instead of a mental health care facility.

Five Star Residences of Clearwater: what do users think?
idigit7 Jac: idk who i suspect an employee. Posted all the reviews. Ik for fact had never been a 5star
Brian Mosey: Wonderful facility. Clean, safe and the staff is excellent!
Brent Mosey: My mother has been a resident at FiveStar Residences of Clearwater for close to five years now. It gives us such comfort to know she is so happy and safe living in this community! The Director, Shane Patterson, and his entire team, treat each resident like family and with a tremendous amount of respect and dignity. Five Star Residences of Clearwater has plenty of activities to keep anyone busy! Our family highly recommends that anyone who is looking for an assisted living facility for their loved one to thoroughly consider Five Star Residences of Clearwater! You will be happy you did!
Nahry Minars: Mike was amazing to work with in regards to the tour and information. The facility is clean, the people seem like they enjoy their jobs and truly care about their residents. It’s worth a look if you’re trying to find a good place for your family member. They have an attention to detail I didn’t see at other places. Thanks for a good experience and I hope my dad has a wonderful new home.
Jason Brown: Although my father did not end up moving into Five Star of Clearwater, Michael and the entire team there were excellent to work with.
Richard Reed: Five Star Residences of Clearwater went over and above the standard to make me feel I made the right decision in selecting them as a place for my mom to live. She just moved in this weekend and is very happy with the care she is being given and so am I. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for an excellent assisted living facility. You made this transition easy and I appreciate your staff.
Tim Mosby: A great place to live! My wife's mother became a resident in June and is very happy living there. The staff and other residents are very friendly and helpful. It's set up as a small community with the residents being the focal point. The facility itself is clean and offers a cheerful and welcoming environment. We can relax knowing she is being well cared for and being treated with the utmost respect!
w Smith: Nice facility, overall! My family and I are pleased with Five Star Residences of Clearwater. This facility is in an easily accessible area of Indianapolis. I felt this was the best place for my aging aunt and her disabled son. The facility is clean and well kept. The two-bedroom unit we selected is nice and more than adequate for their needs. The décor is welcoming and comfortable, and the common areas are spacious. The food choices are also good. All of the various services they provide are great. The most important thing for me has been how well my aunt and cousin have been treated by the staff. The staff is friendly and do a great job looking out for them. The sales representative Brittany has shown that she is very concerned about how well they have assimilated into their new environment. She and other staff members are caring, professional and have gone above and beyond what I would have expected. They spend extra time with them and they are very coconscious about their needs. They have worked very hard to help them with their transition into their facility.
jeanne nowosielski: I was looking for a safe, clean and loving assisted living facility for my father. He is 93 years old and I was unable to care for him in my home. I was referred to Five Star Residences of Clearwater by a friend. I was immediately welcomed with open arms. I new immediately that this was the right place for my father. The management staff made sure everything went smoothly for us and that all of my father's needs were met. Words can't express how caring and loving the staff are. The nursing staff are incredible. They made sure my dad had everything he needed to stay healthy and safe, which in turn made me feel like the weight of the world was taken off my shoulders. We all want our loved ones to be happy. Five Star Residences of Clearwater delivers that happiness. The facility and grounds are kept very clean. It is a beautiful place with a lot of activities for the residents. My father states the food is delicious!!!!! In conclusion, I love all the staff of Five Star Residences of Clearwater. They are a true Five Star facility. My father said he feels like he is home.
Cynthia Linza: My mother has resided at Five Star Residences of Clearwater for several years and she loves it! The staff is friendly and the facility is immaculate. Her entire family loves the facility and enjoy visiting her there. Also, I was extremely impressed with their COVID-19 protocol. There have been ZERO cases of the virus to date.
Kerri Stone: My grandfather moved in here about 2 months ago, and our family is so happy with this residence. It’s a beautiful campus, and the staff goes above and beyond to make their residents comfortable. It’s very clean, my grandpa loves the food, and there are plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained. The residents seem more like a family than just neighbors. Everyone from the housekeepers to the directors Shane and Jennifer are wonderful and know everyone by name. We would definitely recommend it.
Andrew Steward: The facility is absolutely fantastic and the staff are some of the best I have ever encountered. Shane made this process as easy as possible and helped my family when we needed it most. Thank you so much for everything.
Sara McCord: You can tell the staff really care about their residents and put their needs above everything else. A great little hidden gem!
Tawni Risse: Beautiful community with the best location for shopping. Amazing food & the most caring & compassionate staff.
Sara Landrigan: The facility is beautiful and the staff is wonderful!! They are excellent to work with!
Becky D: I'm an Account Manager for Greenhouse Mental Healthcare. Greenhouse currently provides 1;1 talk therapy to residents at Five Start Residences of Clearwater. I've had several wonderful encounters with staff at this community! Most recently, I attending an open house and spoke to several different residents- all of which had something positive to say about the community and the staff. A beautiful community with lots to offer their residents!
Brad Mill: Great location to shopping and restaurants with a warm environment and friendly staff! Would definitely recommend Clearwater to friends and loved ones.
Angela M.: This is a beautiful assisted living community. Checked it out for my parents. Friendly people too.
Nina Z.: This is a wonderful facility with an incredibly friendly staff! Management is very responsive to residents and make the place truly feel like home. They take the time to get to know each resident and go out of their way to ensure each person is comfortable and happy. Also the location couldn't be better, since it's near a large variety of shops and restaurants.
Absolutely Wright: We own Absolutely Wright Contract Cleaning, and have been cleaning all of the carpets, and floors in the facility over the last year! During this time, we have gotten to know the staff, and several of the residents! It has been a pleasure working with a great group of people who care about the cleanliness of the facility , and we have witnessed great care of the residents! We highly recommend your loved ones residing at Five Star Residences of Clearwater!
Brian Moore: As a vendor who calls on this community I have enjoyed working with the staff as I have found them very professional and knowledgeable. The building is very clean and it's proximity to many shopping malls, restaurants, and other activities makes it ideal!
